A non-classical Kirchhoff plate model is developed for the dynamic analysis of microscale plates based on the modified couple stress theory in which an internal material length scale parameter is included. Unlike the classical Kirchhoff plate model, the newly developed model can capture the size effect of microscale plates. Two boundary value problems of rectangular micro- plates are solved and the size effect on the lowest two natural frequencies is investigated. It is shown that the natural frequencies of the microscale plates predicted by the current model are size-dependent when the plate thickness is comparable to the material length scale parameter.  相似文献

基于一种新的各向异性修正偶应力理论,建立了碳纳米管增强复合材料功能梯度板的自由振动模型。该模型能够描述尺度效应,且仅包含一个尺度参数。基于一阶剪切变形理论和哈密顿原理推演了板的运动微分方程,并以四边简支板为例给出了自振频率的解析解。讨论了板的几何尺寸、碳纳米管体分比含量和分布方式等因素对板的自振频率的影响。结果表明,本文模型所预测的板的自振基频总是高于经典弹性理论的Mindlin板模型的预测结果,两者间的差异在板的几何尺寸接近尺度参数的值时非常明显,且会随着板的几何尺寸的增大而逐渐消失。  相似文献

We prove the duality of solutions for the problem of determining the boundary conditions on two opposite sides of a rectangular plate from the frequency spectrum of its bending vibrations. A method for determining the boundary conditions on two opposite sides of a rectangular plate from nine natural frequencies is obtained. The results of numerical experiments justifying the theoretical conclusions of the paper are presented. Rectangular plates are widely used in various technical fields. They serve as printed circuit boards and header plates, bridging plates, aircraft and ship skin, and parts of various mechanical structures [1–4]. If the plate fixing cannot be inspected visually, then one can use the natural bending vibration frequencies to find faults in the plate fixing. For circular and annular plates, methods for testing the plate fixing were found in [5–7], where it was shown that the type of fixing of a circular or annular plate can be determined uniquely from the natural bending vibration frequencies. The following question arises: Is it possible to determine the type of fixing of a rectangular plate on two opposite sides of the plate from the natural bending vibration frequencies if the other two sides are simply supported? Since the opposite sides of the plate are equivalent to each other, a plate with “rigid restraint—free edge” fixing will sound exactly the same as a plate with “free edge—rigid restraint” fixing. Hence we cannot say that the type of fixing of a rectangular plate on two opposite sides can be uniquely determined from its natural bending vibration frequencies. But it turns out that we can speak of duality in the solution of this problem. Here we observe an analogy with the problem of determining the rigidity coefficients of springs for elastic fixing of a string [8]: the rigidity coefficients of the springs are determined by the natural frequencies uniquely up to permutations of the springs.  相似文献

A model for the aeroacoustic resonance effects (aeolian tones) excited around a plate cascade in a gas flow is suggested. Methods of calculating the frequencies of natural acoustic oscillations near the cascade are developed. The effect of the cascade geometry and the Mach number of the main flow on the frequencies, abundance, and modes of the natural oscillations is investigated. Anomalous acoustic oscillations near a cyclic plate cascade are shown to exist and are studied. It is shown that there always exist no less than two natural oscillation frequencies in the gas flow near any nontrivial cyclic plate cascade. It has been found that the natural oscillation frequencies can be combined in bundles such that in the case where the number of plates in a period is large the frequencies pertaining to each bundle occupy a certain interval with arbitrary density. The natural oscillations are classified with respect to the form of the eigenfunctions; the classification is based on the theory of representations of groups of locally plane symmetries of the cyclic plate cascade in the solution space. The correctness of the proposed model of the aeroacoustic resonance effects (aeolian tones) excited near a plate cascade in a gas flow is supported by a comparison with the available experimental and theoretical data. On the basis of the investigation performed, some previously unknown physical phenomena are predicted. Thus, the existence of frequency zones or main-flow Mach number ranges on which aeroacoustic resonance phenomena exist near a cyclic cascade with a large number of plates in a period is proved; it is shown that for certain frequencies of the natural oscillations near the cyclic plate cascade the resonance oscillations may be localized in the vicinity of the source; and the existence of narrow-band wave packets slowly propagating along the cascade is demonstrated. By means of Berger's approximation, suitable for plates with immovable edges, the geometrically nonlinear problem is considerably simplified. Thermally loaded plates with polygonal planform under hard-hinged support conditions are considered, taking into account the effect of shear in transverse isotropy. The class of symmetric vibrations about the flat plate position is represented by a homogeneous and coupled set of Duffing-oscillators as a result of a multi-mode expansion. A unifying non-dimensional closed-form solution for the corresponding nonlinear natural vibration periods is given, which is independent of the special planform. The individual shape of the plate enters the transformation into real time through the linear natural frequencies, or, equivalently, through the linear eigen-values of an effectively prestressed membrane of the same planform.  相似文献

A striking difference between the conventional local and nonlocal dynamical systems is that the later possess finite asymptotic frequencies. The asymptotic frequencies of four kinds of nonlocal viscoelastic damped structures are derived, including an Euler–Bernoulli beam with rotary inertia, a Timoshenko beam, a Kirchhoff plate with rotary inertia and a Mindlin plate. For these undamped and damped nonlocal beam and plate models, the analytical expressions for the asymptotic frequencies, also called the maximum or escape frequencies, are obtained. For the damped nonlocal beams or plates, the asymptotic critical damping factors are also obtained. These quantities are independent of the boundary conditions and hence simply supported boundary conditions are used. Taking a carbon nanotube as a numerical example and using the Euler–Bernoulli beam model, the natural frequencies of the carbon nanotubes with typical boundary conditions are computed and the asymptotic characteristics of natural frequencies are shown.  相似文献

An investigation into the behavior of unsymmetrically laminated anisotropic plates is carried out. Using the basic assumptions of linear plate theory and strain-displacement relations modified to account for small initial curvature, energy formulations are established and the Ritz method utilized to obtain solutions for static deflections and natural frequencies of vibration. The boundary condition with particular inplane restraints and the particular stacking arrangement are shown to have important effects on plate response when bending-extensional coupling is present. Small initial curvature is shown to greatly increase natural frequencies and may obscure the effects of bending-extensional coupling due to nonsymmetrical layering. The increase in lateral stiffness due to curvature is also shown to depend heavily on fiber orientation, orthotropicity and boundary conditions.  相似文献

Chebyshev polynomial functions are used in the Lagrangian multipliers method to study the free vibration characteristics of rectangular moderately thick composite plates reinforced with carbon nanotubes (CNTs). Plate is resting on point supports. Distribution of CNTs across the plate thickness is considered to be either uniform or functionally graded. Properties of the plate are obtained using a refined rule of mixtures approach which includes the efficiency parameters to capture the size dependent characteristics of the composite plate. Using a Ritz solution method, an eigenvalue problem is established which results in natural frequencies and mode shapes of the plate. Based on the developed solution method, number and position of point supports are arbitrary and also various boundary conditions may be assumed for the four edges of the plate. After performing comparison studies for isotropic homogeneous plates on point supports, parametric studies are provided to explore the vibration characteristics of the carbon nanotube reinforced composite plates on point supports. It is shown that, frequencies of the plate increase as the volume fraction of CNTs increases.  相似文献

Digital Speckle Interferometry is a non invasive full-field coherent optical technique used in mechanical vibration measurement. In this research, it is used for tuning resonant frequencies of vibrating plates in order to investigate the dynamical behavior of perforated plates. The plate was excited to resonant vibration by a sinusoidal acoustic source. Fringe pattern produced during the time-average recording of the vibrating plate, for several resonant frequencies were registered. Results of plates fixed at one edge having internal holes and attached masses are presented. Experimental natural frequencies and modal shapes are compared to those obtained by an analytical approximate solution based on the Rayleigh–Ritz method with the use of orthogonal polynomials as coordinate function. A high degree of correlation between computational analysis and experimental results was observed, proving the potentiality of the optical technique as experimental validation of the numerical simulations.  相似文献

针对复合材料夹层板的实际变形特征,基于Zig-Zag变形假定和Mindlin一阶剪切理论,建立了复合材料夹层板自由振动的有限元模型,在该模型中分别对上、下面板和芯体建立了三个独立坐标系,使三部分的转角独立,为具有厚夹芯和软夹芯的复合材料夹层板的动力分析提供了一种更为准确的有限元模型;在此基础上推导了相应的刚度阵和质量阵,并采用子空间迭代法求解。夹层板的固有频率。通过典型考题证明了本模型的有效性。文中最后还通过参数讨论,研究了具有不同长厚比的复合材料夹层板基频的变化规律。  相似文献

针对非均匀Winkler弹性地基上变厚度矩形板的自由振动问题,通过一种有效的数值求解方法——微分变换法(DTM),研究其无量纲固有频率特性。已知变厚度矩形板对边为简支边界条件,其他两边的边界条件为简支、固定或自由任意组合。采用DTM将非均匀Winkler弹性地基上变厚度矩形板无量纲化的自由振动控制微分方程及其边界条件变换为等价的代数方程,得到含有无量纲固有频率的特征方程。数值结果退化为均匀Winker弹性地基上矩形板以及变厚度矩形板的情形,并与已有文献采用的不同求解方法进行比较,结果表明,DTM具有非常高的精度和很强的适用性。最后,在不同边界条件下分析地基变化参数、厚度变化参数和长宽比对矩形板无量纲固有频率的影响,并给出了非均匀Winkler弹性地基上对边简支对边固定变厚度矩形板的前六阶振型。  相似文献

本文基于各向异性修正偶应力理论建立了只含一个尺度参数的Reddy型复合材料层合板的自由振动模型。同见诸于文献的细观尺度Kirchhoff薄板偶应力模型相比,本文提出的新模型能够更精确的预测细观尺度下的中、厚层合板的自振频率。基于Hamilton原理推导了细观尺度下Reddy型复合材料层合板的运动微分方程以及边界条件,并以正交铺设的四边简支复合材料层合方板为例进行了解析求解,分析了尺度参数对自振频率的影响并对比了Kirchhoff、Mindlin和Reddy等三种板模型计算结果的异同。算例结果表明本文所给出的模型能够捕捉到复合材料层合板自由振动问题的尺度效应。另外,在细观尺度下Kirchhoff板模型所预测的自振频率相对于Mindlin板模型和Reddy板模型总是过高,且越接近厚板三者的差别就越大,这与经典理论中三种板模型的对比情况是一致的。  相似文献

The aim of the contribution is to formulate a macroscopic mathematical model describing the dynamic behaviour of a certain composite thin plates. The plates are made of two-phase stratified composites with a smooth and a slow gradation of macroscopic properties along the stratification. The formulation of mathematical model of these plates is based on a tolerance averaging approach (Woźniak, Michalak, Jędrysiak in Thermomechanics of microheterogeneous solids and structures, 2008). The presented general results are illustrated by analysis of the natural frequencies for two cases of plates: a plate band and an annular plate. The spatial volume fractions of the two different isotropic homogeneous components are optimized so as to maximize or minimize the first natural frequency of the plate under consideration.  相似文献

This paper presents the effect of non-homogeneity of the material of plate structures on the vibration frequencies. The non-homogeneity of the plate is characterized by taking a variety of combinations of linear as well as quadratic variations in the Young’s modulus and density of the material. Boundary characteristic orthogonal polynomials using Gram-Schmidt procedure have been employed in the Rayleigh Ritz method. The results have been included for the first few frequencies of the plate element for all the boundary conditions viz. clamped, simply supported and free. Related Tables and graphs are incorporated to show the effect of the non-homogeneity parameter on the frequencies of the vibration of elliptic and circular plates.  相似文献

为研究黏弹性地基上功能梯度材料板的自由和强迫振动特性,基于Reddy高阶剪切变形理论以及由Shen导得的广义Karman型方程,用双重Fourier级数法推导了三参数黏弹性地基上四边简支功能梯度材料板自由振动和动力响应的解析解,计算了各模态自振频率和半波冲击载荷作用下的动力响应,讨论了材料组分指数、黏弹性地基参数、边厚比等因素对自由振动和动力响应的影响.结果表明,黏弹性地基的剪切和压缩刚度显著提升了功能梯度材料板的振动频率,减小了动力响应;另外,地基的黏性对振动频率和动力响应也有一定的影响.  相似文献

Thermal residual-stresses introduced during manufacture and their effect on the natural frequencies and vibration modes of stringer stiffened composite plates is investigated. The principal idea in the work is to include stiffeners on the perimeter of a composite plate in which the laminate design of the stiffeners and plate are different. Such an arrangement yields manufacturing induced thermal residual-stresses; these stresses result from the difference in manufacturing and operating temperatures as well as the difference in thermal expansion coefficients and elastic properties of the plate and the stiffeners. The analysis is based on an enhanced Reissner–Mindlin plate theory and involves two separate calculations. In the first, the thermal residual-stress state is determined for an unconstrained plate. In the second, the free vibration problem is solved; thermal effects from the first calculation are included by way of nonlinear membrane-bending coupling which in turn defines the free vibration reference state. The problem is solved using a 16-node bi-cubic Lagrange element in a finite element formulation. Three different plate-stiffener geometries are used to illustrate the effects of stringer size, stringer placement and temperature difference. Two principal results are obtained: first, it is shown that thermal residual-stresses can have a significant effect on the natural frequencies; secondly, thermal residual-stresses can be tailored to increase natural frequencies. Therefore it is concluded that an evaluation of these stresses and a judicious analysis of their effects must be included in the design of this class of composite structures.  相似文献

应用弹性力学的Hamilton正则方程理论和其半解析法,为整体加筋板的固有频率分析提出了一种新颖的数学模型. 采用同一种平面元素离散板和加强筋,并分别建立板和加强筋的线性方程组. 考虑到板和加强筋连接界面上应力和位移的连续性,联立板和加强筋的方程得到全结构的方程组和求解固有频率的特征方程. 主要优越性表现为:结构的旋转惯性、剪切变形等都得到了考虑,且不限制结构的板厚度和加强筋的高度. 多个数值实例的收敛分析和结果证明了方法是可靠的. 该方法很容易被修改用来分析加筋壳、加筋压电材料层合板或带有压电材料传感器和驱动器块的板壳问题.  相似文献
