The main purpose of this work is to define planar self-intersection local time by an alternative approach which is based on an almost sure pathwise approximation of planar Brownian motion by simple, symmetric random walks. As a result, Brownian self-intersection local time is obtained as an almost sure limit of local averages of simple random walk self-intersection local times. An important tool is a discrete version of the Tanaka?CRosen?CYor formula; the continuous version of the formula is obtained as an almost sure limit of the discrete version. The author hopes that this approach to self-intersection local time is more transparent and elementary than other existing ones.  相似文献

Summary We consider nonparametric estimation of hazard functions and their derivatives under random censorship, based on kernel smoothing of the Nelson (1972) estimator. One critically important ingredient for smoothing methods is the choice of an appropriate bandwidth. Since local variance of these estimates depends on the point where the hazard function is estimated and the bandwidth determines the trade-off between local variance and local bias, data-based local bandwidth choice is proposed. A general principle for obtaining asymptotically efficient data-based local bandwiths, is obtained by means of weak convergence of a local bandwidth process to a Gaussian limit process. Several specific asymptotically efficient bandwidth estimators are discussed. We propose in particular an, asymptotically efficient method derived from direct pilot estimators of the hazard function and of the local mean squared error. This article is mainly concerned with the local times of the weighted bootstrap process. We prove a strong approximation theorem for the local time of the weighted bootstrap process by the local time of a Brownian bridge. We consider also the local time of the compound empirical processes that can be seen, asymptotically, as the local time of the convolution of two independent Gaussian processes.  相似文献

In some constrained nonlinear programming problems possessing several local optima, a local optimum can be recognized as the global optimum by looking closely at the Lagrangian, the augmented function. In this paper, the problem of magneto-micropolar fluid flow, heat and mass transfer with suction and blowing through a porous medium is analyzed numerically. This problem was studied under the effects of chemical reaction, Hall, ion-slip currents, variable viscosity and variable thermal diffusivity. The governing fundamental equations are approximated by a system of non-linear ordinary differential equation. This system is solved numerically by using the Chebyshev pseudospectral method. Details of the velocities, temperature and concentration fields as well as the local skin-friction, the local Nusselt number and the local Sherwood number for the various values of the parameters of the problem are presented. The numerical results indicate that, the concentration decreases as the permeability parameter, the chemical reaction parameter and Schmidt number increase and it increases as variable viscosity and variable thermal diffusivity increase. The local Nusselt number and the local Sherwood number decrease as the magnetic field and ion-slip current parameters increase, whereas they increase as Hall current parameter increases. Also, there is a (non-linear) strong dependency of the concentration gradient at the wall on both Schmidt number and the mass transfer parameter.  相似文献

In this paper we study advantages of numerical integration by quasi-consistent Nordsieck formulas. All quasi-consistent numerical methods possess at least one important property for practical use, which has not attracted attention yet, i.e. the global error of a quasi-consistent method has the same order as its local error. This means that the usual local error control will produce a numerical solution for the prescribed accuracy requirement if the principal term of the local error dominates strongly over remaining terms. In other words, the global error control can be as cheap as the local error control in the methods under discussion.  相似文献

In this paper, a class of global optimization problems is considered. Corresponding to each local minimizer obtained, we introduced a new modified function and construct a corresponding optimization subproblem with one constraint. Then, by applying a local search method to the one-constraint optimization subproblem and using the local minimizer as the starting point, we obtain a better local optimal solution. This process is continued iteratively. A termination rule is obtained which can serve as stopping criterion for the iterating process. It is shown that there are relations between the Connes invariant for local v. Neumann algebras belonging to different curved space-times provided these local algebras are connected by a certain asymptotic condition. We study the local analytic classification of Fuchsian singular points. The resonance formal normal form (FNF) of a system with a Fuchsian singular point, as well as the local analytic equivalence of a system to its resonance FNF, is well known. However, there are distinct resonance FNFs locally analytically equivalent to each other. The main theorem of the paper reduces the problem of local analytic equivalence of resonance FNFs to a problem about conjugacy of certain matrices associated to two FNFs (which are nil-triangular) by a block upper triangular matrix. As a consequence, the local analytic classification of Fuchsian singular points reduces to the study of the orbits of the group of block upper triangular matrices on nil-triangular matrices by conjugation.  相似文献

Multivariate cubic polynomial optimization problems, as a special case of the general polynomial optimization, have a lot of practical applications in real world. In this paper, some necessary local optimality conditions and some necessary global optimality conditions for cubic polynomial optimization problems with mixed variables are established. Then some local optimization methods, including weakly local optimization methods for general problems with mixed variables and strongly local optimization methods for cubic polynomial optimization problems with mixed variables, are proposed by exploiting these necessary local optimality conditions and necessary global optimality conditions. A global optimization method is proposed for cubic polynomial optimization problems by combining these local optimization methods together with some auxiliary functions. Some numerical examples are also given to illustrate that these approaches are very efficient.  相似文献

We study local cohomology of rings of global sections of sheafs on the Alexandrov space of a partially ordered set. We give a criterion for a splitting of the local cohomology groups into summands determined by the cohomology of the poset and the local cohomology of the stalks. The face ring of a rational pointed fan can be considered as the ring of global sections of a flasque sheaf on the face poset of the fan. Thus we obtain a decomposition of the local cohomology of such face rings. Since the Stanley-Reisner ring of a simplicial complex is the face ring of a rational pointed fan, our main result can be interpreted as a generalization of Hochster's decomposition of local cohomology of Stanley-Reisner rings.  相似文献

This paper investigates dynamics of a local search trajectory generated by running the Or-opt heuristic on the traveling salesman problem. This study evaluates the dynamics of the local search heuristic by estimating the correlation dimension for the search trajectory, and finds that the local heuristic search process exhibits the transition from high-dimensional stochastic to low-dimensional chaotic behavior. The detection of dynamical complexity for a heuristic search process has both practical as well as theoretical relevance. The revealed dynamics may cast new light on design and analysis of heuristics and result in the potential for improved search process.  相似文献

A local field is any locally compact, non-discrete field other than the field of real numbers or the field of complex numbers. There is a natural notion of Gaussian measures on a local field vector space. We construct and study a specific local field Gaussian stochastic process taking values in a finite dimensional local field vector space and indexed by another finite dimensional local field vector space. This process has a structure that strongly reflects the algebraic and geometric structure of the underlying index space and, as such, plays the same role in the local field setting that standard Brownian motion and the related multiparameter processes such as Lévy's multiparameter Brownian motion play in a Euclidean context. We investigate the theory of additive functionals and the related potential theory for this process and show that it strongly resembles the Euclidean prototype. As a particular consequence of this investigation, we find that a local time process exists when the process hits points. We give two intrinsic constructions of the local time at a given level. These constructions are analogous to the dilation construction of Kingman and the Hausdorff measure construction of Taylor and Wendel in the Euclidean case. Finally, the local time is shown to be continuous as a measure valued stochastic process indexed by the levèl at which it is evaluated.Research supported in part by an NSF Grant and Presidential Young Investigator Award.  相似文献

The article surveys the main results on the primitivity and local primitivity of digraphs and matrices from the inception of this research area in 1912 by now. We review the universal and special criteria for primitivity and local primitivity as well as universal and special bounds on the exponents and local exponents of digraphs and matrices. We describe some cryptographic applications of this mathematical apparatus for analyzing the mixing properties of block ciphers and keystream generators. The new promising research directions are formulated in the study of primitivity and local primitivity of digraphs and matrices.  相似文献

以作业单元为局部决策Agent,车间管理者为全局协调Agent,引入生产节点间的内部结算价格,基于多Agent系统,建立了综合生产计划的分布式决策模型.通过将局部Agent决策目标的总和与全局Agent决策目标进行对比,证明了所引入的内部结算价格就是全局Agent目标函数关于物流平衡约束的Lagrange乘子.基于Lagrange分解协调原理,设计了局部作业单元Agent和全局协调Agent的迭代协调算法.该迭代算法以上次计算的中间结果作为对其它作业单元生产需求的估计,从而能将各个生产单元Agent的决策模型分离,实现了分布建模与求解.在算例研究中使用启发式规则来确定Lagrange乘子迭代的步长系数,保证了较好的收敛性,证明模型和算法是有效的.  相似文献

碳市场价格呈现非线性、非平稳的复杂特性,准确预测具有较大的挑战。基于“分而治之”的思想,提出了一种基于局部回归的多尺度碳市场价格预测模型。提出的模型利用集成经验模态分解(EEMD)对碳市场价格时间序列进行分解。启发于EEMD局部特征分解的特点,对分解后的分量采用局部回归方法进行预测,然后将分量预测结果进行集成。采用的局部回归方法包括局部线性回归(LLP)、局部多项式回归、局部岭回归、局部主成分回归、局部偏最小二乘回归和局部套索回归。实验结果表明基于局部回归的多尺度预测模型具有优异的预测性能。在提出的模型中,EEMD-LLP结构简单且性能更为突出,进一步对EEMD-LLP参数的适应性进行探讨。与新近提出模型的对比结果表明了EEMD-LLP在碳市场价格预测中的有效性。  相似文献

This paper studies local M-estimation of the nonparametric components of additive models.A two-stage local M-estimation procedure is proposed for estimating the additive components and their derivatives.Under very mild conditions,the proposed estimators of each additive component and its derivative are jointly asymptotically normal and share the same asymptotic distributions as they would be if the other components were known.The established asymptotic results also hold for two particular local M-estimations:the local least squares and least absolute deviation estimations.However,for general two-stage local M-estimation with continuous and nonlinear ψ-functions,its implementation is time-consuming.To reduce the computational burden,one-step approximations to the two-stage local M-estimators are developed.The one-step estimators are shown to achieve the same effciency as the fully iterative two-stage local M-estimators,which makes the two-stage local M-estimation more feasible in practice.The proposed estimators inherit the advantages and at the same time overcome the disadvantages of the local least-squares based smoothers.In addition,the practical implementation of the proposed estimation is considered in details.Simulations demonstrate the merits of the two-stage local M-estimation,and a real example illustrates the performance of the methodology.  相似文献
