We introduce a natural generalization of the notion of harmonic functions on a Cayley tree and use some properties of the group representation of the Cayley tree to describe the set of harmonic functions periodic with respect to normal subgroups of finite index.  相似文献

We consider the Potts model with competing interactions on the Cayley tree of order k with k ≥ 2. We describe the sets of periodic and weakly periodic ground states corresponding to normal subgroups of the group representation of the Cayley tree of index 4.  相似文献

We discuss the p-harmonicity of the linear combination of p-harmonic functions in the Euclidean space and on a tree. If p≠2, the p-harmonicity is non-linear, i.e., the linear combination of p-harmonic functions need not be p-harmonic. In spite of this non-linear nature, we find some p-harmonic functions whose linear combinations become p-harmonic.  相似文献

We study the q-state Potts model on a Cayley tree of order k ≥ 2. In the group representation of the Cayley tree for the ferromagnetic Potts model, we single out a set of index-2 subgroups under which each weakly periodic Gibbs measure is translation invariant. For the anti-ferromagnetic Potts model with k ≥ 2 and q ≥ 2, we show that a weakly periodic Gibbs measure that is not translation invariant is not unique.  相似文献

We introduce the concept of a weakly periodic Gibbs measure. For the Ising model, we describe a set of such measures corresponding to normal subgroups of indices two and four in the group representation of a Cayley tree. In particular, we prove that for a Cayley tree of order four, there exist critical values T c < T cr of the temperature T > 0 such that there exist five weakly periodic Gibbs measures for 0 < T < T c or T > T cr , three weakly periodic Gibbs measures for T = T c , and one weakly periodic Gibbs measure for T c < T ≤ T cr . __________ Translated from Teoreticheskaya i Matematicheskaya Fizika, Vol. 156, No. 2, pp. 292–302, August, 2008.  相似文献

We examine the p-adic hard-core model with three states on a Cayley tree. Translationinvariant and periodic p-adic Gibbs measures are studied for the hard-core model for k = 2. We prove that every p-adic Gibbs measure is bounded for p ≠ 2. We show in particular that there is no strong phased transition for a hard-core model on a Cayley tree of order k.  相似文献

In contrast to an infinite family of explicit examples of two-dimensional p-harmonic functions obtained by G. Aronsson in the late 80s, there is very little known about the higher-dimensional case. In this paper, we show how to use isoparametric polynomials to produce diverse examples of p-harmonic and biharmonic functions. Remarkably, for some distinguished values of p and the ambient dimension n this yields first examples of rational and algebraic p-harmonic functions. Moreover, we show that there are no p-harmonic polynomials of the isoparametric type. This supports a negative answer to a question proposed in 1980 by J. Lewis.  相似文献

We introduce the notion of a weakly periodic configuration. For the Ising model with competing interactions, we describe the set of all weakly periodic ground states corresponding to normal divisors of indices 2 and 4 of the group representation of the Cayley tree. In addition, we study new Gibbs measures for the Ising model.  相似文献

We establish a scale-invariant version of the boundary Harnack principle for p-harmonic functions in Euclidean C 1,1-domains and obtain estimates for the decay rates of positive p-harmonic functions vanishing on a segment of the boundary in terms of the distance to the boundary. We use these estimates to study the behavior of conformal Martin kernel functions and positive p-superharmonic functions near the boundary of the domain. H. In the present paper, by conducting research on the dynamics of the p-adic generalized Ising mapping corresponding to renormalization group associated with the p-adic Ising-Vannemenus model on a Cayley tree, we have determined the existence of the fixed points of a given function. Simultaneously, the attractors of the dynamical system have been found. We have come to a conclusion that the considered mapping is topologically conjugate to the symbolic shift which implies its chaoticity and as an application, we have established the existence of periodic p-adic Gibbs measures for the p-adic Ising-Vannemenus model.  相似文献

The uniqueness of the translation-invariant extreme Gibbs measure for the antiferromagnetic Potts model with an external field and the existence of an uncountable number of extreme Gibbs measures for the Ising model with an external field on the Cayley tree are proved. The classes of normal subgroups of finite index of the Cayley tree group representation are constructed. The periodic extreme Gibbs measures, which are invariant with respect to subgroups of index 2, are constructed for the Ising model with zero external field. From these measures, the existence of an uncountable number of nonperiodic extreme Gibbs measures for the antiferromagnatic Ising model follows. In this paper we consider a p-adic Ising model on an arbitraty tree. We show the uniqueness and boundedness of the p-adic Gibbs measure for the model. Moreover, we consider translational invariant and periodic generalized p-adic Gibbs measures for the model on the Cayley tree of order two.  相似文献

We characterize regular boundary points for p-harmonic functions using weak barriers. We use this to obtain some consequences on boundary regularity. The results also hold for -harmonic functions under the usual assumptions on , and for Cheeger p-harmonic functions in metric spaces.   相似文献

We study p-harmonic functions on metric measure spaces, which are formulated as minimizers to certain energy functionals. For spaces supporting a p-Poincaré inequality, we show that such functions satisfy an infinitesmal Lipschitz condition almost everywhere. This result is essentially sharp, since there are examples of metric spaces and p-harmonic functions that fail to be locally Lipschitz continuous on them. As a consequence of our main theorem, we show that p-harmonic functions also satisfy a generalized differentiability property almost everywhere, in the sense of Cheeger’s measurable differentiable structures.  相似文献

In the present paper, we study the existence of periodic p-adic quasi Gibbs measures of p-adic Potts model over the Cayley tree of order two. We first prove that the renormalized dynamical system associated with the model is conjugate to the symbolic shift. As a consequence of this result we obtain the existence of countably many periodic p-adic Gibbs measures for the model.  相似文献

We use the Perron method to construct and study solutions of the Dirichlet problem for p-harmonic functions in proper metric measure spaces endowed with a doubling Borel measure supporting a weak (1,q)-Poincaré inequality (for some 1?q<p). The upper and lower Perron solutions are constructed for functions defined on the boundary of a bounded domain and it is shown that these solutions are p-harmonic in the domain. It is also shown that Newtonian (Sobolev) functions and continuous functions are resolutive, i.e. that their upper and lower Perron solutions coincide, and that their Perron solutions are invariant under perturbations of the function on a set of capacity zero. We further study the problem of resolutivity and invariance under perturbations for semicontinuous functions. We also characterize removable sets for bounded p-(super)harmonic functions.  相似文献

In this paper, we characterize the Hardy class ofM-harmonic functions on the unit ballB in ℂ n in terms of the Berezin transform. We define and study the Besovp-spaces ofM-harmonic functions. For anM-harmonic symbolf, we give various criteria for the Hankel operatorsH f andH f to be bounded, compact or in the Schatten-von-Neumann classS p . These criteria establish a close relationship among Besovp-spaces, Berezin transform, the invariant Laplacian, and Hankel operators on the unit ballB.  相似文献

We extend the p-harmonic approximation lemma proved by Duzaar and Mingione for p-harmonic functions to φ-harmonic functions, where φ is a convex function. The proof is direct and is based on the Lipschitz truncation technique. We apply the approximation lemma to prove Hölder continuity for the gradient of a solution of a φ-harmonic system with critical growth.  相似文献

A graph is vertex‐transitive if its automorphism group acts transitively on vertices of the graph. A vertex‐transitive graph is a Cayley graph if its automorphism group contains a subgroup acting regularly on its vertices. In this article, the tetravalent vertex‐transitive non‐Cayley graphs of order 4p are classified for each prime p. As a result, there are one sporadic and five infinite families of such graphs, of which the sporadic one has order 20, and one infinite family exists for every prime p>3, two families exist if and only if p≡1 (mod 8) and the other two families exist if and only if p≡1 (mod 4). For each family there is a unique graph for a given order. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献
