Let Mi be a von Neumann algebra, and Bi be a maximal injective von Neumann subalgebra of Mi, i=1,2. If M1 has separable predual and the center of B1 is atomic, e.g., B1 is a factor, then is a maximal injective von Neumann subalgebra of . This partly answers a question of Popa.  相似文献

A Boolean algebraB= is recursive ifB is a recursive subset of ω and the operations Λ, v and ┌ are partial recursive. A subalgebraC ofB is recursive an (r.e.) ifC is a recursive (r.e.) subset of B. Given an r.e. subalgebraA, we sayA can be split into two r.e. subalgebrasA 1 andA 2 if (A 1A 2)*=A andA 1A 2={0, 1}. In this paper we show that any nonrecursive r.e. subalgebra ofB can be split into two nonrecursive r.e. subalgebras ofB. This is a natural analogue of the Friedberg's splitting theorem in ω recursion theory.  相似文献

In this paper, the main objective is to compare the abelian subalgebras and ideals of maximal dimension for finite-dimensional supersolvable Lie algebras. We characterise the maximal abelian subalgebras of solvable Lie algebras and study solvable Lie algebras containing an abelian subalgebra of codimension 2. Finally, we prove that nilpotent Lie algebras with an abelian subalgebra of codimension 3 contain an abelian ideal with the same dimension, provided that the characteristic of the underlying field is not 2. Throughout the paper, we also give several examples to clarify some results.  相似文献

Given a finitely generated restricted Lie algebra L over the finite field \(\mathbb{F}_q \), and n ≥ 0, denote by a n (L) the number of restricted subalgebras H ? L with \(\dim _{\mathbb{F} _q} \) L/H = n. Denote by ã n (L) the number of the subalgebras satisfying the maximality condition as well. Considering the free restricted Lie algebra L = F d of rank d ≥ 2, we find the asymptotics of ã n (F d ) and show that it coincides with the asymptotics of a n (F d ) which was found previously by the first author. Our approach is based on studying the actions of restricted algebras by derivations on the truncated polynomial rings. We establish that the maximal subalgebras correspond to the so-called primitive actions. This means that “almost all” restricted subalgebras H ? F d of finite codimension are maximal, which is analogous to the corresponding results for free groups and free associative algebras.  相似文献

Let L be a finite dimensional Lie algebra. Then for a maximal subalgebra M of L, a 𝜃-completion for M is a subalgebra C of L such that CM and ML?C and CML contains no non-zero ideal of LML, properly. And a 𝜃-completion C of M is said to be a strong 𝜃-completion, if C = L or there exists a subalgebra B of L such that C be maximal in B and B is not a 𝜃-completion for M. These are analogous to the concepts of 𝜃-completion and strong 𝜃-completion of a maximal subgroup of a finite group. Now, we consider the influence of these concepts on the structure of a finite dimensional Lie algebra.  相似文献

We prove that the following three conditions are necessary and sufficient for a Boolean algebra to be embeddable into an interval algebra.
(i)
is generated by a subset such that for all .
(ii)
has a complemented subalgebra lattice, where complements can be chosen in a monotone way.
(iii)
is isomorphic to ClopX for a compact zero-dimensional topological semilattice such that for all .

Let F be a field and A a maximal commutative subalgebra of the full matrix algebra Mn(F). It is shown that dim A > (2n)23 ? 1. It is also shown that if the radical of A has cube zero, then dim A ? [3n23 ? 4], and that this result is best possible for infinitely many natural numbers n.  相似文献

In this paper Robinson's algebra is embedded in a countable class of algebras of primitive recursive functions. Each algebra of this class contains the operations of addition and composition of functions and also one of the operations ia which are defined as follows: g(x)= i a f(x) (a=0, 1, 2, ...) if g(x) satisfies the equations g(0)=a and g(x+1)=f[g(x)]. In this paper we study the properties possessed by all or almost all the algebras of this class.Translated from Matematicheskie Zametki, Vol. 14, No. 1, pp. 143–156, July, 1973.  相似文献
