[reaction: see text] In an effort to develop a synthesis of the VAPOL ligand that avoids the use of a chromium carbene complex, a route was examined that involved the annulation of a naphthalene carboxamide via the method of Snieckus. The latter derivatives could be converted in a two-step sequence to 2-phenyl-4-phenanthrols in 60-72% overall yields. The utility of this method for the synthesis of VAPOL derivatives is demonstrated in the synthesis of (S)-7,7'-dimethyl-VAPOL.  相似文献

It is discovered that the use of biscyclohexylamine (Cy2NH) as an additive can greatly enhance the enantioselectivity for the reaction of linear alkyl alkynes with linear aldehydes. The combination of (S)-BINOL (20 mol %), Cy2NH (5 mol %), ZnEt2 (2 equiv), and Ti(OiPr)4 (0.5 equiv) catalyzes the reaction at room temperature in diethyl ether solution with 81-89% ee and 57-77% yield.  相似文献

Readily available chiral phosphoramidites are a promising class of ligands for nickel-catalyzed asymmetric hydrovinylation of vinyl arenes. Cooperative effects are operative when ligands with more than one element of chirality are used. Choosing the proper stereochemistry in each part of the modular ligand system leads to high chemoselectivities and excellent enantioselectivities up to 94%. Moreover, the catalysts derived from these ligands proved extremely efficient and remarkably robust performing up to 8300 catalytic turnovers at an initial turnover frequency beyond 1000 h-1. The large potential for structural variation and their straightforward synthesis make the phosphoramidites currently the best lead structure for catalyst development in this field.  相似文献

A new family of phosphine ligands bearing a bulky carbazolyl scaffold is described. With the combination of ligand 2a and Pd(OAc)(2), difficult tri-ortho-substituted biaryl couplings are accomplished smoothly. In particular, the catalyst loading as low as 0.02 mol% of Pd for non-activated 2,6-disubstituted aryl chloride coupling can be achieved.  相似文献

Asymmetric, rhodium-catalyzed hydroformylation of terminal and internal aryl alkenes with diazaphospholane ligands is reported. Under partially optimized reaction conditions, high enantioselectivity (>90% ee) and regioselectivities (up to 65:1 alpha:beta) are obtained for most substrates. For terminal alkenes, both enantioselectivity and regioselectivity are proportional to the carbon monoxide partial pressure, but independent of hydrogen pressure. Hydroformylation of para-substituted styrene derivatives gives the highest regioselectivity for substrates bearing electron-withdrawing substituents. A Hammett analysis produces a positive linear correlation for regioselectivity.  相似文献

New tridentate enantiomerically pure heteroatom catalysts, containing hydroxyl, sulfinyl and amino groups, proved to be highly efficient in the enantioselective nitroaldol (Henry) reaction to give the desired adducts in very high yields (up to 90%) and with ees up to 98%. Highly efficient and selective catalysts for the asymmetric reduction of aryl alkyl ketones under hydrogen-transfer conditions (2-propanol) were obtained by combining a novel class of pseudo-dipeptide ligands with [[RuCl(2)(p-cymene)](2)]. A library of 36 dipeptide-like ligands was prepared from N-Boc-protected alpha-amino acids and the enantiomers of 2-amino-1-phenylethanol and 1-amino-2-propanol. The catalyst library was evaluated with the reduction of acetophenone and excellent enantioselectivity of 1-phenylethanol was obtained with several of the novel catalysts. A ligand based on the combination of N-Boc-L-alanine and (S)-1-amino-2-propanol (ligand A-(S)-4) was found to be particular effective. When the situ formed ruthenium complex of this ligand was employed as the catalyst in the hydrogen-transfer reaction of various aryl alkyl ketones, the corresponding alcohol products were achieved in excellent enantioselectivity (up to 98 % ee).  相似文献

The asymmetric catalytic aziridination reaction (AZ reaction) of N-dianisylmethylimines (N-DAM-imines) with ethyl diazoacetate is developed with chiral catalysts prepared from triphenylborate and both the vaulted binaphthol (VANOL) and vaulted biphenanthrol (VAPOL) ligands. Catalysts derived from both ligands were equally effective in terms of asymmetric induction, but the VANOL catalyst was slightly faster. Up to 400 turnovers could be achieved with the VANOL catalyst while still maintaining>or=90% ee in the aziridine product. The ligand could be recovered in 95% yield with no loss in optical purity. Excellent asymmetric inductions were observed with arylimines, and although slightly lower inductions were observed for alkyl-substituted imines, the optical purity of the aziridines from all of the imine substrates could be enhanced to>or=99% ee with a single crystallization. Methods were developed for deprotection of the N-DAM-aziridines under acidic conditions without causing an acid-promoted opening of the ring. Excellent yields of the N-H-aziridines could be obtained with both alkyl- and aryl-substituted aziridines. Finally, activation of the N-H-aziridines was achieved with Boc, tosyl, and Fmoc groups. The activated aziridines can be converted to beta3-amino esters, and unexpectedly, the N-Boc-protected aziridine-2-carboxylate 16b with a phenyl substituent in the 3-position cis to the ester group was found to undergo ring expansion to a mixture of cis- and trans-oxazolidinones.  相似文献

The Pd-catalyzed hydrosilylation of norbornene with trichlorosilane using different chiral ferrocenyl ligands containing a phosphine and a pyrazole as donors was studied. Both steric and electronic factors affect stereoselectivity in this system. The combination of a sterically bulky pyrazole substituent with a π-acidic phosphine leads to an enantioselectivity of >99.5% ee. Important substrate electronic effects on stereoselectivity were observed using para-substituted styrenes.  相似文献

A new class of efficient catalysts was developed for the asymmetric hydrogenation of alpha,beta-unsaturated carboxylic acid derivatives by synthesizing a series of novel phosphine-phosphite ligands (4a-d) derived from readily available D-(+)-xylose. Excellent enantioselectivities (> 99%) were achieved under very mild reaction conditions (1 bar H(2) and 20 degrees C). Varying the biphenyl substituents in the phosphite moiety greatly affected the enantioselectivity in the hydrogenation reactions. The results also indicate that the sense of enantioselectivity is mainly controlled by the configuration of the phosphite moiety. (31)P[(1)H] NMR and kinetic studies on intermediates of the catalytic cycle show that the [Rh(P(1)-P(2))(enamide)]BF(4) species is the resting state and that the rate dependence is first order in rhodium and hydrogen pressure and zero order in enamide concentration.  相似文献

A series of spirocyclic phosphoramidite ligands 6-9 with different substituents on the amine moiety were synthesized from the chiral spirocyclic diol (R)-5. These monodentate ligands have been applied in copper-catalyzed conjugate addition of diethylzinc to cyclic enones. Excellent enantioselectivities (up to 99% ee) can be achieved by the use of ligand (R,S,S)-9 bearing stereochemically matched structure derived from the C2-symmetric (S,S)-bis(α-methylbenzyl)amine.  相似文献
