To accelerate intense, short pulsed heavy ion beams to the energies of interest for studies of high energy density physics and warm dense matter, the Pulse Line Ion Accelerator (PLIA), of which the axial acceleration gradient can achieve several MeV per meter with realistic helix parameters at very low cost, was developed in recent years. A simple prototype of PLIA for a proof-of-principle experiment called the Lanzhou Test PLIA was designed and constructed at the Institute of Modern Physics in Lanzhou, and the test result matches the calculated result well. The pattern of the axial electric field Ez and the velocity of the traveling wave were simulated by CST.  相似文献

In order to put the Pulse Line Ion Accelerator (PLIA) concept to its practical application, a small experimental platform was built. It was found that the actual axial electric field is smaller than the theoretical calculation, so the accelerated ions will enter into the deceleration zone before leaving the helix, which will seriously affect the acceleration process. Based on the improved parameters, the He+ with 24 keV is accelerated to 55 keV, and the proof-of-principle experiment is completed on this platform.  相似文献

Two types of dielectric wall accelerator (DWA) structures, a bi-polar Blumlein line and zero integral pulse line (ZIP) structures were investigated. The high gradient insulator simulated by the particle in cell code con rms that it has little in uence on the axial electric field. The results of simulations using CST microwave studio indicate how the axial electric field is formed, and the electric eld waveforms agree with the theoretical one very well. The in uence of layer-to-layer coupling in a ZIP structure is much smaller and the electric eld waveform is much better. The axial of the Blumlein structure's electric field has better axial stability. From both of the above, it found that for a shorter pulse width, the axial electric field is much higher and the pulse stability and delity are much better. The CST simulation is very helpful for designing DWA structures.  相似文献

为了在介质壁加速器中增大轴向加速电场, 提高加速梯度的同时抑制径向电场对束包络的扩张, 提出了在每个加速电极上添加金属栅网结构。采用基于粒子云网格方法的电磁粒子模拟软件对不加栅网与添加栅网的电极结构进行了数值仿真, 分析了不同结构下加速管道中的电场分布和束包络变化。通过实验对比了两种不同结构下经过相同的加速长度获得的粒子能量。结果表明:添加金属栅网结构相对于不加栅网的金属小孔式结构, 轴向加速电场强度提高20%, 同时径向电场得到有效抑制;栅网结构下, 被加速的粒子束在自由漂移空间中的径向发散基本得到抑制;在相同的加速长度下加速H3+粒子, 栅网结构得到的能量增益提高了一倍。  相似文献

利用碳酸钡基材料研制了一种环形脉冲形成线。对脉冲形成线的材料特性、电场分布对耐压影响进行分析和研究,通过优化结构设计、材料特性,提高了环形脉冲形成线的耐压水平。利用此脉冲形成线建立了37级Marx发生器,此发生器通过电感进行并联充电和串联放电工作。使用电磁仿真软件对系统结构进行了三维电场分析,分析结果表明, 采用此环形脉冲形成线能够实现同轴设计,电场更加均匀,确定了满足紧凑化的最佳外形尺寸。实验结果表明, 设计的脉冲功率驱动源在充电电压为±19 kV的条件下,在二极管负载下得到了输出半高宽为65 ns、电压为680 kV的快高压脉冲。  相似文献

The OHTE configuration is obtained by surrounding a reversed field pinch (RFP) with a stellarator-like helical winding whose pitch is chosen to enhance field line pitch reversal. The helical coil current needed to form a separatrix boundary is calculated analytically for a simple plasma model, which gives results in close agreement with a numerical two-dimensional (2-D) MHD equilibrium code. Basic properties of the field line transform, which is predominantly in the axial or toroidal direction, are investigated. The 2-D equilibrium code is used to investigate the effects of current profiles and high beta, and the OHTE is compared with the RFP. These calculations show that the helical winding can significantly enlarge the parameter space for interchangestable finite-? equilibria with pitch reversal while avoiding axial current reversal.  相似文献

We propose a microscopic model of a chiral polymer chain with permanent transverse dipoles interacting with an external electric field. Its behaviour has been investigated by computer simulation in the limit of weak chirality. Large-scale (tertiary) helical winding induced along the field direction has been found above a threshold field Ec, and the helix parameters have been calculated as functions of the field strength. Below Ec there is no coherent helical structure of the chain conformation. We find a characteristic scaling of the threshold and the winding radius a with the chain bending modulus , and . The evolution of a neon implosion of low energy discharge (4 kJ, 40 kV, 150 kA, 1.1 μs) was studied using X-ray, schlieren, and high speed electrooptical visible gated quadro camera diagnostics. The geometry, an helical structure of pinched column, two steps of pinching, and X-ray emission have been studied. The hypothesis of an axial component of magnetic field generation, the helical shape of the magnetic and electric field lines, and the release of magnetic energy during the second pinching of the column are discussed  相似文献

The measurements of the amplitude-phase characteristics of the electromagnetic field in a high-frequency jet discharge burning in air and argon have been performed. Experimentally obtained radial distributions of the radial component of the electric field gave the base to determine the value of the wave number of an electromagnetic wave which propagates in the HF jet discharge plasma. The axial distribution of the radial component of the electric field has been calculated from the model of a jet discharge channel formed as a finite-length electric line.  相似文献

为了实现天线罩的轻量化,同时满足高功率的应用,提出了一种高功率内置弧形折线栅式极化转换天线罩。该天线罩将弧形折线栅式极化转换板放置于介质密封罩内部,通过对弧形折线栅单元结构及介质密封罩结构的联合设计,在实现轻量化的同时降低了金属栅上的电场,使其更加有利于在高功率微波领域的工程应用。针对C波段高功率线极化螺旋阵列天线的应用需求,优化设计了一个中心频率为4.3 GHz的高功率极化转换天线罩,将其加载至某高功率径向线螺旋阵列天线上开展了辐射特性和功率容量的仿真和测试,仿真和实验结果吻合,该天线罩可实现圆极化波到线极化波的转换,其中心频率下的插入损耗为0.2 dB,主射方向轴比为20 dB,功率容量达到48 MW。  相似文献

The director reorientation in smectic liquid crystals with ferroelectric properties has been considered in the case where the interaction of liquid-crystal molecules with the surface leads to a partial unwinding of the helical structure of the liquid crystal and the reorientation occurs as a result of the domain-wall motion. The dependences of the velocity of domain-wall motion on the electric field strength, electric field variation frequency, boundary conditions, spontaneous polarization, and viscosity of the liquid crystal have been determined. It has been demonstrated that an increase in the electric field variation frequency or the polar part of the anchoring energy and the spontaneous polarization of the liquid crystal at a constant field frequency results in an increase of the velocity of domain-wall motion. As a consequence, the time of the electro-optic response of the liquid crystal in weak electric fields (from 0.4 to 2.0 V/μm) decreases by a factor of more than three.  相似文献

In this paper, the effect of electric field on axial buckling of boron nitride nanotubes is investigated. For this purpose, molecular dynamics simulation and continuum mechanics are used for the first time simultaneously. In molecular dynamics simulation, the potential between boron nitride atoms is considered as Tersoff and Timoshenko beam theory is used in continuum mechanics. In this paper, buckling of zigzag and armchair boron nitride nanotubes are investigated. Here, the effects of the electric field and the length of the boron nitride nanotube on the critical load are investigated and it is shown that the effect of the electric field is different with respect to the arrangement of atoms in the boron nitride nanotubes. In fact, the electric field creates axial and torsional loads on the zigzag and armchair nanotube, respectively. Axial buckling of the zigzag nanotube is dependent on the electric field, whereas in the armchair nanotubes, the electric field changes have no effect on the axial buckling. To better understand the impact of the electric field on axial buckling, these results are compared with the continuum mechanics.  相似文献

 提出了一种16单元矩形径向线螺旋阵列天线。介绍了该矩形阵列天线的提出背景以及工作原理,分析了两种电磁组合探针的耦合特性,设计并数值模拟了中心频率为4.0 GHz的16单元矩形径向线螺旋阵列天线。模拟结果表明:该口径为180 mm×180 mm 的天线在中心频率4.0 GHz 下,增益为18.24 dB,轴向轴比值1.065;在3.8~4.2 GHz的频率范围内增益大于17.89 dB,轴向轴比值小于1.2,反射系数小于0.15,口径效率大于85%。  相似文献

 应用有限元仿真软件HFSS,建立了准确的3维螺旋线行波管耦合阻抗仿真模型。应用该模型,对微扰实验法在微扰杆内电场所做出的4个假设和近似,进行了定量的分析和讨论:电场在轴向是均匀的,忽略掉轴向高次空间谐波的存在;电场在角向是均匀的,忽略掉角向高次空间谐波的存在;忽略掉电场中TE波部分,认为电场角向分量为零;假设微扰前后的电场是相等的。同时,对微扰杆的尺寸和介电常数与耦合阻抗的依赖关系进行了模拟分析。结果表明:当微扰法所引入的假设和近似逐步消失后,微扰法的结果最后收敛于定义法。  相似文献

In this paper, the trajectory and kinetic energy of a charged particle, subjected to interaction from a laser beam containing an additionally applied external static axial magnetic field, have been analyzed. We give the rigorous analytical solutions of the dynamic equations. The obtained analytical solutions have been verified by performing calculations using the derived solutions and the well known Runge-Kutta procedure for solving original dynamic equations. Both methods gave the same results. The simulation results have been obtained and presented in graphical form using the derived solutions. Apart from the laser beam, we show the results for a maser beam. The obtained analytical solutions enabled us to perform a quantitative illustration, in a graphical form of the impact of many parameters on the shape, dimensions and the motion direction along a trajectory. The kinetic energy of electrons has also been studied and the energy oscillations in time with a period equal to the one of a particle rotation have been found. We show the appearance of, so-called, stationary trajectories (hypocycloid or epicycloid) which are the projections of the real trajectory onto the (x, y) plane. Increase in laser or maser beam intensity results in the increase in particle’s trajectory dimension which was found to be proportional to the amplitude of the electric field of the electromagnetic wave. However, external magnetic field increases the results in shrinking of the trajectories. Performed studies show that not only amplitude of the electric field but also the static axial magnetic field plays a crucial role in the acceleration process of a charged particle. At the authors of this paper best knowledge, the precise analytical solutions and theoretical analysis of the trajectories and energy gains by the charged particles accelerated in the laser beam and magnetic field are lacking in up to date publications. The authors have an intention to clarify partly some important aspects connected with this process. The presented theoretical studies apply for arbitrary charged particle and the attached figures-for electrons only.  相似文献

Measuring results for axial distribution of gas temperature of high-frequency torch discharge burning in the air at atmospheric pressure are presented. The distribution of electric field over the discharge axis was calculated based on the model of discharge in the form of heterogeneous electric line of finite length. It is shown that the experimentally observed linear character of electric field change along the discharge axis is conditioned by its axial heterogeneity.  相似文献

在介质加载加速器结构(DLA)内, 提出采用刻槽结构结合外加磁场的方法用于在电磁场横磁(TM)模式下抑制介质表面的电子倍增. 通过理论分析和数值模拟, 比较了刻槽结构和纵向磁场对斜面上电子碰撞能量和渡越时间的影响, 得到了在介质表面同时存在法向RF电场及切向RF电场时, 采用刻槽结构并施加一定的纵向磁场强度, 可有效抑制二次电子倍增的发展, 提高介质面的击穿阈值.  相似文献

This paper describes the measurement of an organic photovoltaic using an electro-optic probe. We verify the validity of the electro-optic probe by comparing it with a conventional electric probe. The electric field distribution of the organic photovoltaic is examined on the basis of results of the test board measurement using the electro-optic probe and results of the test board simulation using an electromagnetic field simulator. We succeed in failure diagnosis of the organic photovoltaic in three failure modes. We found that the organic photovoltaic has a failure cell, and the electro-optic probe is successfully applied to failure diagnosis of organic photovoltaic.  相似文献

从强流脉冲电子直线感应加速器电子束流位置探测器测量原理出发,进行了标定装置物理设计,确定标定装置采用同轴结构,对束流探测器位置测量精度和测量范围、偏心同轴线对位置标定结果的影响进行了理论分析,并根据分析结果确定同轴结构内外导体相对位置调节范围、同轴线长度和特性阻抗。电路模拟和实验测量结果验证了在非匹配传输条件下可以得到满足位置标定要求的快脉冲信号波形。  相似文献

The effects of self fields on gain for a free‐electron lasers (FELs) with electromagnetic‐wave wiggler and an axial guide magnetic field is presented. The relativistic equation of motion for a single electron for all relevant fields, including wiggler, self‐fields and axial guide magnetic field has been solved. Two classes of possible single‐particle trajectories in this configuration are found. Result of the numerical calculation shown that the relativistic part of group I (group II) orbits decreases (increases) monotonically with the axial field. The gain equations for the FEL configuration by adding the effect of self‐fields have been derived. The numerical calculation has been employed to analysis the gain induced by the effects of the self‐fields. It is shown that, for group I orbits the gain decreases in the presence of self‐fields and the gain decrement increases with increasing axial guide magnetic field, while for group II orbits the self‐fields enhances the gain. The gain decrement and enhancement are due to diamagnetic and paramagnetic effects of the self‐magnetic field, respectively.
