In this Letter we give a new integrable four-field lattice hierarchy, associated to a new discrete spectral problem. We obtain our hierarchy as the compatibility condition of this spectral problem and an associated equation, constructed herein, for the time-evolution of eigenfunctions. We consider reductions of our hierarchy, which also of course admit discrete zero curvature representations, in detail. We find that our hierarchy includes many well-known integrable hierarchies as special cases, including the Toda lattice hierarchy, the modified Toda lattice hierarchy, the relativistic Toda lattice hierarchy, and the Volterra lattice hierarchy. We also obtain here a new integrable two-field lattice hierarchy, to which we give the name of Suris lattice hierarchy, since the first equation of this hierarchy has previously been given by Suris. The Hamiltonian structure of the Suris lattice hierarchy is obtained by means of a trace identity formula.  相似文献

In [E.G. Fan, Phys. Lett. A 372 (2008) 6368], Fan present a lattice hierarchy and its continuous limits. In this Letter, we extend this method, by introducing a complex discrete spectral problem, a coupling lattice hierarchy is derived. It is shown that a new sequence of combinations of complex lattice spectral problem converges to the integrable coupling couplings of soliton equation hierarchy, which has the integrable coupling system of AKNS hierarchy as a continuous limit.  相似文献

We present a new realization of scalar integrable hierarchies in terms of the Toda lattice hierarchy. In other words, we show on a large number of examples that an integrable hierarchy, defined by a pseudo-differential Lax operator, can be embedded in the Toda lattice hierarchy. Such a realization in terms the Toda lattice hierarchy seems to be as general as the Drinfeld-Sokolov realization.  相似文献

An integrable coupling family of Merola-Ragnisco-Tu lattice systems is derived from a four-by-four matrix spectral problem. The Hamiltonian structure of the resulting integrable coupling family is established by the discrete variational identity. Each lattice system in the resulting integrable coupling family is proved to be integrable discrete Hamiltonian system in Liouville sense. Ultimately, a nonisospectral integrable lattice family associated with the resulting integrable lattice family is constructed through discrete zero curvature representation.  相似文献

We construct new hyperbolic solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation, using the Fuss-Catalan algebras, a set of multi-colored versions of the Temperley-Lieb algebra, recently introduced by Bisch and Jones. The interest in the Camassa-Holm equation inspired the search for various generalizations of this equation with interesting properties and applications. In this Letter we deal with such a two-component integrable system of coupled equations. First we derive the system in the context of shallow water theory. Then we show that while small initial data develop into global solutions, for some initial data wave breaking occurs. We also discuss the solitary wave solutions. Finally, we present an explicit construction for the peakon solutions in the short wave limit of system.  相似文献

Inspired by the forms of delay-Painleve equations, we consider some new differential-discrete systems of KdV, mKdV and Sine-Gordon — type related by simple one way Miura transformations to classical ones. Using Hirota bilinear formalism we construct their new integrable discretizations, some of them having higher order. In particular, by this procedure, we show that the integrable discretization of intermediate sine-Gordon equation is exactly lattice mKdV and also we find a bilinear form of the recently proposed lattice Tzitzeica equation. Also the travelling wave reduction of these new lattice equations is studied and it is shown that all of them, including the higher order ones, can be integrated to Quispel-Roberts-Thomson (QRT) mappings.  相似文献

Modulational instability of travelling plane waves is often considered as the first step in the formation of intrinsically localized modes (discrete breathers) in anharmonic lattices. Here, we consider an alternative mechanism for breather formation, originating in oscillatory instabilities of spatially periodic or quasiperiodic nonlinear standing waves (SWs). These SWs are constructed for Klein-Gordon or Discrete Nonlinear Schr?dinger lattices as exact time periodic and time reversible multibreather solutions from the limit of uncoupled oscillators, and merge into harmonic SWs in the small-amplitude limit. Approaching the linear limit, all SWs with nontrivial wave vectors (0 < Q < π) become unstable through oscillatory instabilities, persisting for arbitrarily small amplitudes in infinite lattices. The dynamics resulting from these instabilities is found to be qualitatively different for wave vectors smaller than or larger than π/2, respectively. In one regime persisting breathers are found, while in the other regime the system thermalizes. We study the generalized discrete self-trapping (DST) system formulated in terms of the u(n) Lie-Poisson algebra as well as its noncompact analog given on the gl(n) algebra. The Hamiltonian is a quadratic-linear function of the algebra generators where the quadratic part consists of the squared generators of the Cartan subalgebra only: $$H = \sum\limits_{i = 1}^n {\frac{{\gamma _i }}{2}A_{ii}^2 + } \sum\limits_{i,j = 1}^n {m_{ij} } A_{ij} $$ Two integrable cases are discovered: one for the u(n) case and the other for the gl(n) case. The correspondingL-operators (2 × 2 andn ×n) are found which give the Lax representation for these systems. The integrable model on the gl(n) algebra looks like the Toda lattice because in this case,m ij=c iδij-1. The corresponding 2 × 2L-operator satisfies the Sklyanin algebra.  相似文献

A one-parameter generalization of the hierarchy of negative flows is introduced for integrable hierarchies of evolution equations, which yields a wider (new) class of non-evolutionary integrable nonlinear wave equations. As main results, several integrability properties of these generalized negative flow equation are established, including their symmetry structure, conservation laws, and bi-Hamiltonian formulation. (The results also apply to the hierarchy of ordinary negative flows). The first generalized negative flow equation is worked out explicitly for each of the following integrable equations: Burgers, Korteweg-de Vries, modified Korteweg-de Vries, Sawada-Kotera, Kaup-Kupershmidt, Kupershmidt.  相似文献

A method for generating vector-value integrable analogies of integrable lattice systems or integrable differential-difference equations is presented. The basic ingredient of the method is to insert permutation matrices. We formulate the zero-curvature representations and Hamiltonian structures of the resulting vector lattice systems. The effectiveness of the method is illustrated using some examples such as the Volterra lattice, the Belov–Chaltikian lattice, the Ablowitz–Ladik lattice and the Heisenberg ferromagnet lattice.  相似文献

The thermalization process of the holographic entanglement entropy(HEE)of an annular domain is investigated in the Vaidya-AdS geometry.We determine numerically the Hubeny-Rangamani-Takayanagi(HRT)surface,which may be a hemi-torus or two disks,depending on the ratio of the inner radius to the outer radius of the annulus.More importantly,for some fixed ratio of the two radii,the annulus undergoes a phase transition,or a double phase transition,during thermalization from a hemi-torus to a two-disk configuration,or vice versa.The occurrence of various phase transitions is determined by the ratio of the two radii of the annulus.The rate of entanglement growth is also investigated during the thermal quench.The local maximal rate of entanglement growth occurs in the region with a double phase transition.Finally,if the quench process is sufficiently slow,which may be controlled by the thickness of the null shell,the region with a double phase transition vanishes.  相似文献
