The B3LYP/6-311++G (d,p) density functional approach was used to study the gas-phase metal affinities of Guanosine (ribonucleoside) for the Li+, Na+, K+, Mg2+, Ca2+, Zn2+, and Cu+ cations. In this study we determine coordination geometries, binding strength, absolute metal ion affinities, and free energies for the most stable products. We have also compared the results for Guanosine, with our previously reported results for 2′-Deoxyguanosine. Based on the results, it is obvious that MIA is strongly dependent on the charge-to-size ratio of the cation. Guanosine interacts more strongly with Zn2+ than do with Mg2+, Ca2+, and Cu+ and therefore stronger interactions lead to higher MIA. In both free molecules and their complexes, the Syn orientation of the base is stabilized by an intramolecular O5′–H···N3 hydrogen bond and the anti orientation of the base is stabilized by an intramolecular C–H···O hydrogen bond formed between the (C8-H8) and the O5′ atom of the sugar moiety. It is also interesting to mention that linear correlation between calculated MIA values and the atomic numbers (Z) of the metal ions of Li+, Na+, and K+ were found. Furthermore, the influences of metal cationization on the strength of the N-glycosidic bond, torsion angles, angle of pseudorotation (P), and intramolecular C–H···O and O–H···O hydrogen bonds have been studied. Natural bond orbital (NBO) analysis was performed to calculate the charge transfer and natural population analysis of the complexes. Chromium(III)-carbonate reactions are expected to be important in managing high-level radioactive wastes. Extensive studies on the solubility of amorphous Cr(III) hydroxide solid in a wide range of pH (3–13) at two different fixed partial pressures of CO2(g) (0.003 or 0.03 atm.), and as functions of K2CO3 concentrations (0.01 to 5.8 mol⋅kg−1) in the presence of 0.01 mol⋅dm−3 KOH and KHCO3 concentrations (0.001 to 0.826 mol⋅kg−1) at room temperature (22±2 °C) were carried out to obtain reliable thermodynamic data for important Cr(III)-carbonate reactions. A combination of techniques (XRD, XANES, EXAFS, UV-Vis-NIR spectroscopy, thermodynamic analyses of solubility data, and quantum mechanical calculations) was used to characterize the solid and aqueous species. The Pitzer ion-interaction approach was used to interpret the solubility data. Only two aqueous species [Cr(OH)(CO3)22− and Cr(OH)4CO33−] are required to explain Cr(III)-carbonate reactions in a wide range of pH, CO2(g) partial pressures, and bicarbonate and carbonate concentrations. Calculations based on density functional theory support the existence of these species. The log 10 K° values of reactions involving these species [{Cr(OH)3(am) + 2CO2(g)Cr(OH)(CO3)22−+2H+} and {Cr(OH)3(am) + OH+CO32− Cr(OH)4CO33−}] were found to be −(19.07±0.41) and −(4.19±0.19), respectively. No other data on any Cr(III)-carbonato complexes are available for comparisons.  相似文献

The geometric structures of the ground state and metastable isomers of the nitroso complexes trans-[RuCl4(NO)L]q (L = H2O, NH3, pyrazine (Pz), q = −1; Cl, OH, CN, NO 2 , q = −2) and cis[RuCl4(NO)L]q (L = Pz, q = −1) were optimized in terms of the density functional theory. The variation of the trans-ligand L influences the relative energy of the metastable isomer with a side NO coordination. Synthesis of fourteen new complexes of meso-tetrakis(4-alkoxyphenyl) porphyrins with Co2+, Cu2+, Zn2+, Pb2+ were presented in this paper.Meso-tetrakis (4-alkoxyphenyl) porphyrins were prepared by condensation of 4-alkoxybenzaldehydes with pyrrole, then treated with corresponding metallic acetate to produce mentioned complexes, IR, UV, 1H NMR, MS and elementary analysis were explored to confirm the structures of all theses new complexes.Characteristic spectrometric data of IR, UV, 1H NMR related to these complexes have been systematically summarized.Ten of the fourteen complexes were found to exhibit liquid crystal properties.  相似文献

The complex formation between Na+, K+, Cs+, Rb+ and Tl+ metal cations with macrocyclic ligand, dicyclohexyl-18-crown-6 (DCH18C6) was studied in acetonitrile-water (AN-H2O) binary systems at different temperatures using conductometric method. DCH18C6 forms 1:1 complexes with these metal cations. The stability constants of the complexes were obtained from fitting of molar conductivity curves using a computer program Genplot. The results show that the selectivity order of DCH18C6 for the metal cations in acetonitrile-water mixtures (AN = 25.3 and 50.4 mol %) is: Tl+ > K+ > Rb+ > Cs+ > Na+. A non-linear behaviour was observed between the log K f of the complexes versus the composition of the mixed solvent which it related to changes of acidity, basicity, polarity and also polarizability of AN-H2O mixtures with the composition of this binary solution. The values of standard enthalpy changes (ΔH s0) for complexation reactions were obtained from the slope of the van’t Hoff plots and the changes in the standard entropy (ΔS s0) were calculated from the relationship: ΔG s,298.150 = ΔH s0 − 298.15ΔS s0. From extraction experiments and γ-activity measurements, the extraction constants corresponding to the general equilibrium M+(aq) + 1·Cs+(nb) \rightleftarrows \rightleftarrows 1·M+(nb) + Cs+(aq) taking part in the two-phase water–nitrobenzene system (1 = hexaarylbenzene-based receptor; M+ = H3O+, NH4 +, Ag+, K+, Rb+, Tl+; aq = aqueous phase, nb = nitrobenzene phase) were evaluated. Furthermore, the stability constants of the ML+ complex species in nitrobenzene saturated with water were calculated; they were found to increase in the series of Rb+ < K+ < Ag+, Tl+ < H3O+, NH4 +.  相似文献

 The diagram of the ternary system Mg2+/Cl, SO4 2−–H2O was established at 15°C by means of analytical and conductimetric measurements. Three compounds were found in this diagram, which are MgSO4·6H2O, MgSO4·7H2O, and MgCl2·6H2O. The solubility field of MgSO4·7H2O is important whereas those of MgSO4·6H2O and MgCl2·6H2O are small. The compositions (mass-%) of the two invariant points determined by the two methods are: MgSO4:MgCl2=2.73:33.80 and MgSO4: MgCl2=3.38:28.91. Both the measured and the calculated isotherm at 15°C have been used for modelling of the diagram Mg2+/Cl, SO4 2−–H2O between 0 and 35°C. The polythermal invariant point was approximately located between 15 and 10°C.  相似文献

Single crystals of Ca2+, Sr2+, Ba2+, and Pb2+ beta″ alumina were prepared from sodium beta″ alumina by ion exchange. The ionic conductivities of Ca2+, Sr2+, and Ba2+ beta″ alumina are comparable, about 3 × 10?2 (ohm-cm)?1 at 300°C. Surprisingly, Pb2+ beta″ alumina is much more conductive, 1.5 × 10?1 (ohm-cm)?1 at 300°C and 4.6 × 10?3 (ohm-cm)?1 at 40°C. Its conductivity approaches that of sodium beta″ alumina at temperatures below 25°C. The diffusion coefficient for Sr2+ in beta″ alumina at 600°C was estimated from radiotracer experiments. It is consistent with that expected from conductivity measurements.  相似文献

Summary The paper deals with the depth distribution of implanted elements from the surface, i.e., the concentration profile, studied by means of Auger electron spectroscopy. Results obtained in low carbon CrMoV tool steel implanted with N 2 + or CO+ ions have been correlated with theoretical curves which were calculated by the LSS method for pure -iron.Low doses of implanted nitrogen (1.5 and 2.0 · 1017 ions/ cm2) exhibit no differences between measured concentration profiles and theoretical distribution, while a high dose (4.0 · 1017 ions/cm2) induced profile deformation together with sputtering of the material surface. By bombardment with carbon monoxide (1.5 – 4.0 · 1017 ions/cm2), these molecular ions are split after their incidence and carbon as well as oxygen atoms can move independently within the material. The position of the oxygen concentration profiles correspond to the theoretically found curves (the true heights of the profile being substantially lower), whereas the concentration profiles of carbon are very flat and of asymmetrical shape.  相似文献

Group-theoretical analysis and molecular orbital methods were used to obtain (in analytical form) the electronic structure and reactivity of the PO 4 3− , SO 4 2− and P2O 7 4− , S2O 7 2− anions. The reactivity of the anions is dictated by the availability of lone electron pairs on the top quasidegenerate MOs in the form of linear combinations of group orbitals from atomic orbitals (AOs) of peripheral oxygen atoms for PO 4 3− , SO 4 2− and the central (bridging) atom for P2O 7 4− , S2O 7 2− . Calcium and barium zirconate powders based upon CaZrO3:Eu3+,A and BaZrO3:Eu3+,A (A=Li+, Na+, K+) were prepared by combustion synthesis method and heating to ~1000℃ to improve crystallinity.The structure and morphology of materials were examined by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanningelectron microscopy (SEM). XRD results showed that CaZrO3:Eu3+,A and BaZrO3:Eu3+,A (A=Li+, Na+, K+) perovskites possessed orthorhombic and cubic structures, respectively. The morphologies of all powderswere very similar consisting of small, coagulated, cubical particles with narrow size distributions andsmooth and regular surfaces. The characteristic luminescences of Eu3+ ions in CaZrO3:Eu3+,A (A=Li+, Na+, K+) lattices were present with strong emissions at 614 and 625 nm for 5D07F2 transitions with other weakeremissions observed at 575, 592, 655, and 701 nm corresponding to 5D07Fn transitions (where n=0, 1, 3, 4 respectively). In BaZrO3:Eu3+ both the 5D07F1 and 5D07F2 transitions at 595 and 613 nm were strong.Photoluminescence intensities of CaZrO3:Eu3+ samples were higher than those of BaZrO3:Eu3+ lattices. Thisremarkable increase of photoluminescence intensity (corresponding to 5D07Fn transitions) was observedin CaZrO3:Eu3+ and BaZrO3:Eu3+ if co-doped with Li+ ions. An additional broad band composed of manypeaks between 440 to 575 nm was observed in BaZrO3:Eu3+,,A samples. The intensity of this band wasgreatest in Li+ co-doped samples and lowest for K+ doped samples.  相似文献

Ab initio (SCF and CI) calculations have been performed for the linear approach (C∝v) of C+ to H2. For the 2 Σ+ surface the saddle point and barrier height were determined. The interaction of the 2Σ+ and 2Π surfaces was investigated, leading to the conclusion that in near-C∝v symmetry a low-energy path exists by which CH+1 Σ+ can be formed, with negligible barrier in excess of endothermicity.  相似文献

The HCl+ (A) vibrational state distributions from the title reaction were studied over the 48–110 meV collision energy range. The 10 and 20 ratios increase by factors of about 1.3 and 2.5, respectively. The branching ratios appear to be determined primarily by Franck-Condon factors, and by the endoergicity of the ν′ = 2 level.  相似文献

The geometrical parameters, normal vibration frequencies, and thermochemical characteristics of the Na2Cl+, NaCl 2 , Na3Cl 2 + , and Na2Cl 3 ions in saturated vapors over sodium chloride were calculated by the ab initio methods including electron correlation. According to calculations, the Na2Cl+ and NaCl 2 triatomic ions have a linear equilibrium D h configuration. The pentaatomic ions can exist in the form of the D h linear isomer, C 2v planar cyclic isomer, or D 3h bipyramidal isomer. At ∼1000 K the Na3Cl 2 + and Na2Cl 3 ions exist predominantly in the form of the linear isomers. The energies and enthalpies of the ion-molecule reactions involving the above ions were calculated. The formation enthalpy of the ions Δf H 0(0 K) was determined: 230 ± 2 kJ/mol (Na2Cl+), −96 ± 4 kJ/mol (Na2Cl 3 ), −616 ± 2 kJ/mol (NaCl 2 ), and −935 ± 4 kJ/mol (Na2Cl 3 ). Collisions of B+(3P) with H2(X 1Σg+) have been studied repeatedly using molecular-beam techniques. The theoretical interpretation of the results suffered from missing information about the potential-energy surfaces for this system. This paper reports on diatomics-in-molecules calculations for a wide range of nuclear geometries. The stationary points on the minimum-energy paths are determined. Symmetrically orthogonalized and non-hermitean diatomics-in-molecules versions differ only slightly at the minimum-energy path. The potential-energy surfaces of the 13A′ and 23A′ states show dramatical changes with the BHH angle, leading possibly to adiabatic as well as non-adiabatic elementary processes. The 13A′' and 13A′ states are nearly degenerate for geometries ranging from the entrance channel to the interaction region. The most favourable configurations of approach on these potential-energy surfaces are those with C2, symmetry.  相似文献

From extraction experiments in the two-phase water–nitrobenzene system and γ-activity measurements, the stability constants of the tetraethyl p-tert-butyltetrathiacalix[4]arene tetraacetate (cone)·M+ complexes (M+ = Li+, H3O+, NH4 +, Ag+, or K+) were determined in water-saturated nitrobenzene. It was found that these constants increase in the cation order NH4 + < K+ < H3O+ < Ag+ < Li+ < Na+.  相似文献

The complex formation between La3+, UO22+ Ag+, and NH4+ cations and macrocyclic ligand, dicyclohexyl-18-crown-6 (DCH18C6), was studied in acetonitrile-tetrahydrofuran (AN-THF) binary mixtures at different temperatures using the conductometric method. The results show that with the exception of complexation of the NH4+ cation with DCH18C6 in pure acetonitrile, the stoichiometry of all the complexes is being 1: 1 (M: L). The stability constants of the complexes were determined using a GENPLOT computer program. The nonlinear behavior which was observed for changes of log K f of the complexes versus the composition of the mixed solvent was discussed in terms of solvent-solvent interaction in their binary solution, which results in changing the chemical and physical properties of the constituent solvents when they mix with one another and, therefore, changing the solvation capacities of the metal cations, crown ether molecules, and even the resulting complexes with changing the mixed solvent composition. The results show that the selectivity of DCH18C6 for the studied cations changes with the composition of the AN-THF binary system. The sequence of stabilities of complexes in an AN-THF binary solution (mol. % AN = 75.0) at 25°C is [(DCH18C6)La)]3+ > [(DCH18C6)UO2]2+ > [(DCH18C6)Ag]+ ∼ [(DCH18C6)NH4]+, but in the case of other binary systems of AN/THF (mol. % AN = 25.0 and 50.0) is [(DCH18C6)La]+ > [(DCH18C6)NH4]+ ∼ [DCH18C6)UO2]2+ > [(DCH18C6)Ag]+.
