The flavor and helicity distributions of the and hyperons for both valence and sea quarks are calculated in a perturbative QCD (pQCD) based model. We relate these quark distributions to the fragmentation functions of and , and calculate the z-dependence of the longitudinal spin transfer to and in lepton deep-inelastic scattering (DIS). It is shown that the spin transfer to the is compatible with the first HERMES results at DESY, and further tests are suggested. We also make predictions for the z-dependence of the and longitudinal polarizations in neutrino (antineutrino) DIS processes. We investigate the sea contribution to the fragmentation functions, and we test a possible scenario where the sea quarks in (or the sea antiquarks in ) are negatively polarized, whereas the sea antiquarks in the (or the sea quarks in ) are positively polarized. The asymmetry of the polarized fragmentation functions of the sea quarks and antiquarks to and provides a way to understand the different behavior between the and spin transfers observed in the recent E665 experiment at FNAL. The relativistic meson field theory is used to study the effects of the in-medium interaction on the predicted antibaryon abundancy in hot hadronic matter. It is demonstrated that subtreshold production of antiprotons in high energy heavy ion collisions at Elab =1–2 GeV/nucleon is enhanced by 2–3 orders of magnitude as compared to a standard fireball model estimate. Furthermore, we show that after the inclusion of interactions the anti-hyperon yields, e.g. \(\bar \Lambda \) /π ? are enhanced by about a factor ten. Predicted yields are in excess of the data measured by the NA35 and WA85 collaborations at CERN. The annihilation of antibaryons in surrounding matter at the final stage of the reaction may essentially reduce their abundancy.  相似文献

We consider the τ leptonic decay $\tau\rightarrow l\bar{\nu}_{l}\nu_{\tau}$ in the framework of the littlest Higgs (LH) model and calculate the corrections of new particles to this decay. We find that the contributions of the charged scalars can be safely ignored and the LH model is in perfect agreement with the universality of the couplings of the SU gauge bosons to the leptonic charged currents. The corrections of the LH model to the τ leptonic decay $\tau\rightarrow l\bar{\nu}_{l}\nu_{\tau}$ are not sensitive to the parameter c, but depend strongly on the parameters f and x. The precision measured data about the τ leptonic decay demand that the parameter f approximately equal 3.5 TeV and x>0.1, while agree with the general expectation based on other phenomenological explorations.  相似文献

A three-body calculation for the \({^4_{\Lambda} \rm{He}}\) and \({^6_{\Lambda}{\rm H}}\) hypernuclei has been undertaken. The respective cores are \({^4_{\Lambda}{\rm H}}\) . The interactions in the \({^6_{\Lambda}{\rm He}}\) system, modeled as \({^4_{\Lambda} {\rm H+p+n}}\) , are reasonably well known. For example, the p n interaction is well determined by the p n scattering data, the \({^4_{\Lambda}{\rm H}}\) p interaction can be fitted to the \({^5_{\Lambda}{\rm He}}\) binding energy. The \({^4_{\Lambda}{\rm He}}\) n interaction can be fitted to α–n scattering data. For the 4He–n system the s-wave can be modeled alternatively as a repulsive potential or as an attractive potential with a forbidden bound state. We explore these alternatives in 6He, because the interaction comes into play in modeling \({^6_{\Lambda}{\rm He}}\) as well as in our \({^4_{\Lambda}{\rm H}}\) + n + n model of \({^6_{\Lambda}{\rm H}}\) , where the valence neutrons are Pauli blocked from the s-shell of the core nucleus.  相似文献

We consider the Schrödinger equation with a combination of Deng–Fan-type and harmonic terms. To solve the corresponding differential equation, we split the equation to two parts: the parent and the perturbation terms. We use the Nikiforov–Uvarov technique to solve the parent part. For the perturbation part, we apply the series expansion method. Next, using the calculated wave function, we investigate some bottom and charm mesons within the Isgur–Wise function formalism. We present especially semileptonic \({\bar{B} \rightarrow D\ell \bar{\nu}}\) and \({\bar{B}_{s} \rightarrow D_s \ell \bar{\nu }}\) decay widths, branching ratios and \({|V_{cb}|}\) (element of the CKM matrix). Masses of some pseudoscalar mesons are also indicated. Comparisons of our results with experimental values and other approaches are included.  相似文献

Time-dependent mixing is studied using about two million hadronic Z decays registered by L3 in 1994 and 1995. For this study three techniques are used. Tagging of the b-quark charge at decay time is performed by identifying leptons from semileptonic B decays. The flavour of the b quark at production time is determined from the charge of the lepton in the opposite hemisphere or by using a jet-charge technique. The proper time of the B-particle decay is obtained by reconstructing the production and decay vertices or by a measurement of the lepton impact parameter. The combined result for the frequency of meson oscillations is Received: 20 February 1998 / Revised version: 23 March 1998 / Published online: 12 August 1998  相似文献

We study predictions for the reaction . The complete one-loop corrections are taken into account and higher order contributions, in particular those for the observed real photons, are added whenever necessary. The event generator MC, a general-purpose Monte Carlo generator for the process based on the method of exclusive exponentiation, is used as the environment. We extend its applicability to the process ,, where the observation of at least a single is required. The exponentiation is implemented in much the same way as for the s-channel process alone. In particular, all photonic effects present in the case of W exchange, which cannot be included in the s-channel exponentiation scheme, are calculated to a finite order only. The real hard photon matrix element is calculated up to . Leading logarithmic contributions of the two-loop corrections and one-loop photonic corrections accompanying real single-photon emission are included. The electroweak corrections are calculated with the DIZET library of the ZFITTER package. Numerical tests and predictions for typical observables are presented. We study the interference of resonant Higgs boson exchange in neutralino production in m+ m-\mu^ + \mu^- annihilation with longitudinally polarized beams. We use the energy distribution of the decay lepton in the process [(c)\tilde]0j ? l± [(l)\tilde]\tilde{\chi}^0_j \to \ell^{\pm} \tilde{\ell}^\mp to determine the polarization of the neutralinos. In the CP-conserving minimal supersymmetric standard model a non-vanishing asymmetry in the lepton energy spectrum is caused by the interference of Higgs boson exchange channels with different CP-eigenvalues. The contribution of this interference is large if the heavy neutral bosons H and A are nearly degenerate. We show that the asymmetry can be used to determine the couplings of the neutral Higgs bosons to the neutralinos. In particular, the asymmetry allows one to determine the relative phase of the couplings. We find large asymmetries and cross sections for a set of reference scenarios with nearly degenerate neutral Higgs bosons.  相似文献

In this work we study the semileptonic decay of ${\bar{B}}_{s}^{0}\to \phi {l}^{+}{l}^{-}$ (l=e, μ, τ) with the QCD sum rule method. We calculate the ${\bar{B}}_{s}^{0}\to \phi $ translation form factors relevant to this semileptonic decay, then the branching ratios of ${\bar{B}}_{s}^{0}\to \phi {l}^{+}{l}^{-}$ (l=e, μ, τ) decays are calculated with the form factors obtained here. Our result for the branching ratio of ${\bar{B}}_{s}^{0}\to \phi {\mu }^{+}{\mu }^{-}$ agree very well with the recent experimental data. For the unmeasured decay modes such as ${\bar{B}}_{s}^{0}\to \phi {e}^{+}{e}^{-}$ and ${\bar{B}}_{s}^{0}\to \phi {\tau }^{+}{\tau }^{-}$, we give theoretical predictions.  相似文献
