Nanocrystalline CoFe2O4 ferrite with crystallite sizes of 30 nm have been successfully prepared by an emulsion method. X-ray diffractometer (XRD) shows that nanocrystalline CoFe2O4 ferrite possesses face center cubic structure. Crystal structure of the CoFe2O4 nanocrystals will not be changed by the applied magnetic field and pressures. The obtained CoFe2O4 nanocrystalline powders were pressed into thin columns with different pressures. Meanwhile, the dependences of the applied pressures and the direction of applied magnetic field on the magnetic properties of the CoFe2O4 nanocrystals were investigated in detail using vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). The pressed CoFe2O4 nanocrystal gains the most excellent magnetisms in a parallel applied magnetic field.  相似文献

Aminated-CoFe2O4/SiO2 magnetic nanoparticles (NPs) were prepared from primary silica particles using modified StÖber method. Glucose oxidase (GOD) was immobilized on CoFe2O4/SiO2 NPs via cross-linking with glutaraldehyde (GA). The optimal immobilization condition was achieved with 1% (v/v) GA, cross-linking time of 3 h, solution pH of 7.0 and 0.4 mg GOD (in 3.0 mg carrier). The immobilized GOD showed maximal catalytic activity at pH 6.5 and 40 °C. After immobilization, the GOD exhibited improved thermal, storage and operation stability. The immobilized GOD still maintained 80% of its initial activity after the incubation at 50 °C for 25 min, whereas free enzyme had only 20% of initial activity after the same incubation. After kept at 4 °C for 28 days, the immobilized and free enzyme retained 87% and 40% of initial activity, respectively. The immobilized GOD maintained approximately 57% of initial activity after reused 7 times. The KM (Michaelis-Menten constant) values for immobilized GOD and free GOD were 14.6 mM and 27.1 mM, respectively.  相似文献

CoFe2O4/Fe3O4 nano-composite ceramics were synthesized by Spark Plasma Sintering. The X-ray diffraction patterns show that all samples are composed of CoFe2O4 and Fe3O4 phases when the sintering temperature is below 900 °C. It is found that the magnetic properties strongly depend on the sintering temperature. The two-step hysteresis loops for samples sintered below 500 °C are observed, but when sintering temperature reaches 500 °C, the step disappears, which indicates that the CoFe2O4 and Fe3O4 are well exchange coupled. As the sintering temperature increases from 500 to 800 °C, the results of X-ray diffractometer indicate the constriction of crystalline regions due to the ion diffusion at the interfaces of CoFe2O4/Fe3O4 phases, which have great impact on the magnetic properties.  相似文献

Nanocomposite of hard (BaFe12O19)/soft ferrite (Ni0.8Zn0.2Fe2O4) have been prepared by the sol–gel process. The nanocomposite ferrite are formed when the calcining temperature is above 800 °C. It is found that the magnetic properties strongly depend on the presintering treatment and calcining temperature. The “bee waist” type hysteresis loops for samples disappear when the presintering temperature is 400 °C and the calcination temperature reaches 1100 °C owing to the exchange-coupling interaction. The remanence of BaFe12O19/Ni0.8Zn0.2Fe2O4 nanocomposite ferrite with the mass ratio of 5:1 is higher than a single phase ferrite. The specific saturation magnetization, remanence magnetization and coercivity are 63 emu/g, 36 emu/g and 2750 G, respectively. The exchange-coupling interaction in the BaFe12O19/Ni0.8Zn0.2Fe2O4 nanocomposite ferrite is discussed.  相似文献

Multi-functional magnetic, photoluminescent and photocatalytic CoFe2O4-ZnO nanocomposites were successfully synthesized by a collosol method. The average diameter of the prepared CoFe2O4-ZnO nanocomposites was 30±5 nm, and a diffusion layer was formed to link CoFe2O4 and ZnO. The saturation magnetization of the CoFe2O4-ZnO nanocomposites was 8.99 emu/g. Generation of ZnO from Zn(OH)2 collosol was nearly complete after thermal decomposition at about 380 °C. A photoluminescence emission peak was observed at 443 nm when excitated at 350 nm. Degradation of methyl orange is performed by CoFe2O4-ZnO nanocomposites under ultraviolet radiation, with a degradation rate of up to 93.9%.  相似文献

CoFe2O4 ferrite nanoparticles were prepared by a modified chemical coprecipitation route. Structural and magnetic properties were systematically investigated. X-ray diffraction results showed that the sample was in single phase with the space group . The results of field-emission scanning electronic microscopy showed that the grains appeared spherical with diameters ranging from 20 to 30 nm. The composition determined by energy-dispersive spectroscopy was stoichiometry of CoFe2O4. The Curie temperature in the process of increasing temperature was slightly higher than that in the process of decreasing temperature. This can be understood by the fact that heating changed Co2+ ion redistribution in tetrahedral and in octahedral sites. The coercivity of the synthesized CoFe2O4 samples was lower than the theoretical values, which could be explained by the mono-domain structure and a transformation from ferrimagnetic to superparamagnetic state.  相似文献

Aminated-CoFe2O4/SiO2 magnetic nanoparticles (NPs) were prepared from primary silica particles using modified StÖber method. By optimizing the preparation conditions, monodisperse CoFe2O4/SiO2 NPs with high amino groups’ density were obtained, which is necessary for enzyme immobilization. TEM confirm that the sample is a core/shell structure. These aminated-CoFe2O4/SiO2 NPs have narrow size distributions with a mean size of about 60 nm. Moreover, the aminated-CoFe2O4/SiO2 NPs can be easily dispersed in aqueous medium. The experimental results also show that the NPs have superparamagnetism, indicating that the aminated-CoFe2O4/SiO2 NPs can be used as an effective carrier for the enzyme immobilization.  相似文献

A series of Ce1−xCuxO2 nanocomposite catalysts with various copper contents were synthesized by a simple hydrothermal method at low temperature without any surfactants, using mixed solutions of Cu(II) and Ce(III) nitrates as metal sources. These bimetal oxide nanocomposites were characterized by means of XRD, TEM, HRTEM, EDS, N2 adsorption, H2-TPR and XPS. The influence of Cu loading (5-25 mol%) and calcination temperature on the surface area, particle size and catalytic behavior of the nanocomposites have been discussed. The catalytic activity of Ce1−xCuxO2 nanocomposites was investigated using the test of CO oxidation reaction. The optimized performance was achieved for the Ce0.80Cu0.20O2 nanocomposite catalyst, which exhibited superior reaction rate of 11.2 × 10−4 mmol g−1 s−1 and high turnover frequency of 7.53 × 10−2 s−1 (1% CO balanced with air at a rate of 40 mL min−1, at 90 °C). No obvious deactivation was observed after six times of catalytic reactions for Ce0.80Cu0.20O2 nanocomposite catalyst.  相似文献

Single domain magnetic CoFe2O4 nanoparticles with spinel structure were prepared by the coprecipitation method. Particles with size of 16, 20, 40 and 60 nm were synthesized by sintering the precursor at 500, 600, 800 and 900 °C, respectively. The magnetic hysteresis measurement of CoFe2O4 particles showed that particles were single domain particles with similar saturation magnetization (∼300 emu/cm3) at room temperature. The zeta potential study of suspensions (CoFe2O4-acetylacetone system) with various particle sizes showed the suspension systems had similar zeta potential values (∼40 mV). The effects of magnetic particle size on the suspension stability characterized by electrophoretic deposition yields and sediment volumes were studied. The suspension stability decreased with an increase in particle size and a flocculation threshold of particle radius a was found at 30 nm. A suspension stability theory approaching to the phenomenon was established. The theory based on the DLVO theory was developed by introducing an extra magnetic interaction force. Dormann model was adopted, in which the magnetic interactions of two spherical nanoparticles were investigated in terms of dipole-dipole interactions. Compared to DLVO, suspension's physical parameters not only zeta potential ζ and the Debye length 1/κ, but also particles' radius a brought about stable to flocculation transition in the theory.  相似文献

Self-heating from magnetic nanoparticles under AC magnetic field can be used either for hyperthermia or to trigger the release of an anti-cancer drug, using thermo-responsive polymers. The heat generated by applying an AC magnetic field depends on the properties of magnetic nanoparticles (composition, size, crystal structure) as well as the frequency and amplitude of the magnetic field. Before these systems can be efficiently applied for in vitro or in vivo studies, a thorough analysis of the magnetically induced heating is required. In this study, CoFe2O4 nanoparticles were synthesized, dispersed in water, and investigated as heating agents for magnetic thermo-drug delivery and hyperthermia. The temperature profiles and infrared (IR) camera images of heat generation of CoFe2O4 nanoparticles under various AC magnetic fields of 127–700 Oe at 195, 231, and 266 kHz were measured using an IR thermacam, excluding the external AC magnetic field interruption. The CoFe2O4 nanoparticles were successfully dispersed in water using an 11-mercaptoundecanoic acid ligand exchange method to exchange the solvent used for synthesis of hexane for water. During the heating experiments, each of CoFe2O4 nanoparticle solutions reached a steady state where the temperature rose between 0.1 and 42.9 °C above ambient conditions when a magnetic field of 127–634 Oe was applied at 231 or 266 kHz. The heat generation was found to be dependent on the intensity of AC magnetic field and applied frequency. Therefore, the desired heating for magnetically triggered drug delivery or hyperthermia could be achieved in water-dispersed CoFe2O4 nanoparticles by adjusting the AC magnetic field and frequency.  相似文献

CoFe2−xGdxO4 (x=0-0.25) nanoparticles were synthesized via a simple hydrothermal process at 200 °C for 16 h without the assistance of surfactant. The as-synthesized powders were characterized by X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, and a vibrating sample magnetometer. The X-ray diffraction results showed that the as-synthesized powders were in the pure phase with a doping amount of ≤0.25, and the peaks could be readily indexed to the cubic spinel cobalt ferrite. Transmission electron microscopy and high resolution transmission electron microscopy observations revealed that the gadolinium-doped cobalt ferrite nanoparticles were single crystal, roughly spherical, uniformly distributed, and not highly agglomerated. The room temperature magnetic field versus magnetization measurements confirmed a strong influence of gadolinium doping on the saturation magnetization and coercivity due to large lattice distortion and grain growth of small particles.  相似文献

Magnetic nanocomposites formed by cobalt ferrite particles dispersed in a silica matrix were prepared by a sol-gel process. The effects of the thermal treatment temperature and the salt concentration on the structural and magnetic properties of the composites were investigated. By controlling these parameters, CoFe2O4/SiO2 nanocomposites with different crystallite size and magnetic properties were obtained. By increasing the annealing temperature and salt concentration, composites with a progressive increase in the coercive field and of the density of magnetization were produced. In particular, a nanocomposite, with a Fe/Si molar concentration of 21%, obtained by drying the gel at 150 °C and further annealing at 800 °C, has a coercivity of 2000 Oe, which is more than twice higher than the coercivity of bulk cobalt ferrite.  相似文献

Collective magnetic behavior of CoFe2O4 nanoparticles with diameters of 76, 16, 15 and 8 nm, respectively, prepared by different chemical methods has been investigated. Particle composition, size and structure have been characterized by inductive coupled plasma (ICP), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD). Basic magnetic properties have been determined from the temperature dependence of magnetization and magnetization isotherms measurements. The three samples exhibit characteristic of a superparamagnetic system with the presence of strong interparticle interactions. Magnetic relaxation phenomena have been examined via frequency-dependent ac susceptibility measurements and aging and memory effect experiments. For the particles coated with oleic acid, it has been demonstrated that the sample reveals all attributes of a super-spin glass (SSG) system with strong interparticle interactions.  相似文献

We doped Ho3+ in CoFe1.95Ho0.05O4 spinel ferrite by mechanical alloying and subsequent annealing at different temperatures (600-1200 °C). We understood the structural and magnetic properties of the samples using X-ray diffraction, SEM, Thermal analysis (TGA and DTA), and VSM measurement. The samples have shown structural stabilization within cubic spinel phase for the annealing temperature (TAN)≥800 °C. Thermal activated grain growth kinetics has been accompanied with the substantial decrease in lattice strain. The gain size dependent magnetism is evident from the variation of magnetic moment, remanent magnetization and coercivity of the material. The paramagnetic to ferrimagnetic transition temperature TC (∼805 K) seems to be grain size independent in the present material. The magnetic nanograins, either single domain/pseudo-single domain (50-64 nm) or multi-domain (above 64 nm) regime, showed superparamagnetic blocking below Tm, which is below TC (805 K) and also well above the room temperature.  相似文献

The spinel CoFe2O4 has been synthesized by combustion reaction technique. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy shows that samples are near-stoichiometric, and that the specimen surface both in the powder and bulk sample is most typically represented by the formula (Co0.4Fe0.6)[Co0.6Fe1.4]O4, where cations in parentheses occupy tetrahedral sites and those within square brackets in octahedral sites. The results demonstrate that most of the iron ions are trivalent, but some Fe2+ may be present in the powder sample. The Co 2p3/2 peak in powder sample composed three peaks with relative intensity of 45%, 40% and 15%, attributes to Co2+ in octahedral sites, tetrahedral sites and Co3+ in octahedral sites. The O 1s spectrum of the bulk sample is composed of two peaks: the main lattice peak at 529.90 eV, and a component at 531.53 eV, which is believed to be intrinsic to the sample surface. However, the vanishing of the O 1s shoulder peak of the powder specimen shows significant signs of decomposition.  相似文献

The impact of the ZrO2/La2O3 film thickness ratio and the post deposition annealing in the temperature range between 400 °C and 600 °C on the electrical properties of ultrathin ZrO2/La2O3 high-k dielectrics grown by atomic layer deposition on (1 0 0) germanium is investigated. As-deposited stacks have a relative dielectric constant of 24 which is increased to a value of 35 after annealing at 500 °C due to the stabilization of tetragonal/cubic ZrO2 phases. This effect depends on the absolute thickness of ZrO2 within the dielectric stack and is limited due to possible interfacial reactions at the oxide/Ge interface. We show that adequate processing leads to very high-k dielectrics with EOT values below 1 nm, leakage current densities in the range of 0.01 A/cm2, and interface trap densities in the range of 2-5 × 1012 eV−1 cm−2.  相似文献

TiO2/Fe2O3 core-shell nanocomposition film has been fabricated via two-step method. TiO2 nanorod arrays are synthesized by a facile hydrothermal method, and followed by Fe2O3 nanoparticles deposited on TiO2 nanorod arrays through an ordinary chemical bath deposition. The phase structures, morphologies, particle size, chemical compositions of the composites have been characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM) and ultraviolet-visible (UV-vis) spectrophotometer. The results confirm that Fe2O3 nanoparticles of mean size ca. 10 nm coated on the surface of TiO2 NRs. After depositing Fe2O3, UV-vis absorption property is induces the shift to the visible-light range, the annealing temperature of 600 °C is the best condition for UV-vis absorption property of TiO2/Fe2O3 nanocomposite film, and increasing Fe content, optical activity are enhanced one by one. The photoelectrochemical (PEC) performances of the as-prepared composite nanorods are determined by measuring the photo-generated currents under illumination of UV-vis light. The TiO2 NRs modified by Fe2O3 show the photocurrent value of 1.36 mA/cm2 at 0 V vs Ag/AgCl, which is higher than those of unmodified TiO2 NRs.  相似文献

Highly crystalline CoFe1.9RE0.1O4 ferrite nanoparticles, where RE=La, Ce, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, and Ho, have been synthesized by forced hydrolysis in polyol. X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), electron energy-loss spectroscopy (EELS), 57Fe Mössbauer spectrometry, Co K-edge X-ray absorption spectroscopy and magnetic measurements using a SQUID magnetometer were employed to investigate the effect of the substitution RE3+ ions for Fe3+ ones on the structure, the microstructure, the chemical homogeneity, and the magnetic properties of the cobalt ferrite system. All the produced particles are superparamagnetic at room temperature. Nevertheless, the substitution causes reduction of the blocking temperature which is mainly ascribed to partial cation exchange among the spinel-like sublattices of CoFe2O4 induced by the insertion of the relatively large RE3+ ions. The low-temperature saturation magnetization and coercivity appear to be greatly affected by the nature of RE3+ ions—maxima values were found for Gd3+ and Eu3+, respectively.  相似文献

Magnetic susceptibility of the magnetic fluid with CoFe2O4 particles was measured in the low-frequency range in order to determine mean values of the magnetic grain size and the saturation magnetisation. The volume concentration of the solid phase (CoFe2O4) was also found. Results of the calorimetric measurements, in the range from 70 kHz to 1.7 MHz, confirmed the suitability of use of the medium studied in magnetic fluid hyperthermia, especially in the frequency region 600–800 kHz. The H2–law-type dependence of the specific absorption rate on the square amplitude of the magnetic field testified to the presence of superparamagnetic particles in the magnetic fluid. The minimum magnetic field intensity needed for successful hyperthermal treatment was experimentally determined.  相似文献

The present investigation is related to the deposition of single-phase nano-sheets spinel nickel ferrite (NiFe2O4) thin films onto glass substrates using a chemical method. Nano-sheets nickel ferrite films were deposited from an alkaline bath containing Ni2+ and Fe2+ ions. The films were characterized for their structural, surface morphological and electrical properties by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscope (TEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and two-point probe electrical resistivity techniques. The X-ray diffraction pattern showed that NiFe2O4 nano-sheets are oriented along (3 1 1) plane. The FT-IR spectra of NiFe2O4 films showed strong absorption peaks around 600 and 400 cm−1 which are typical for cubic spinel crystal structure. Microstructural study of NiFe2O4 film revealed nano-sheet like morphology with average sheet thickness of 30 nm. The room temperature electrical resistivity of the NiFe2O4 nano-sheets was 107 Ω cm.  相似文献
