The paper studies the rate of convergence of the weak Euler approximation for solutions to SDEs driven by Lévy processes, with Hölder-continuous coefficients. It investigates the dependence of the rate on the regularity of coefficients and driving processes. The equation considered has a nondegenerate main part driven by a spherically symmetric stable process.  相似文献

We study the rate of convergence of some recursive procedures based on some “exact” or “approximate” Euler schemes which converge to the invariant measure of an ergodic SDE driven by a Lévy process. The main interest of this work is to compare the rates induced by “exact” and “approximate” Euler schemes. In our main result, we show that replacing the small jumps by a Brownian component in the approximate case preserves the rate induced by the exact Euler scheme for a large class of Lévy processes.  相似文献

In some recent papers, some procedures based on some weighted empirical measures related to decreasing-step Euler schemes have been investigated to approximate the stationary regime of a diffusion (possibly with jumps) for a class of functionals of the process. This method is efficient but needs the computation of the function at each step. To reduce the complexity of the procedure (especially for functionals), we propose in this paper to study a new scheme, called the mixed-step scheme, where we only keep some regularly time-spaced values of the Euler scheme. Our main result is that, when the coefficients of the diffusion are smooth enough, this alternative does not change the order of the rate of convergence of the procedure. We also investigate a Richardson–Romberg method to speed up the convergence and show that the variance of the original algorithm can be preserved under a uniqueness assumption for the invariant distribution of the “duplicated” diffusion, condition which is extensively discussed in the paper. Finally, we conclude by giving sufficient “asymptotic confluence” conditions for the existence of a smooth solution to a discrete version of the associated Poisson equation, condition which is required to ensure the rate of convergence results.  相似文献

We present new algorithms for weak approximation of stochastic differential equations driven by pure jump Lévy processes. The method uses adaptive non-uniform discretization based on the times of large jumps of the driving process. To approximate the solution between these times we replace the small jumps with a Brownian motion. Our technique avoids the simulation of the increments of the Lévy process, and in many cases achieves better convergence rates than the traditional Euler scheme with equal time steps. To illustrate the method, we discuss an application to option pricing in the Libor market model with jumps.  相似文献

Through a regularization procedure, a few schemes for approximation of the local time of a large class of continuous semimartingales and reversible diffusions are given. The convergence holds in the ucp sense. In the case of standard Brownian motion, we have been able to bound the rate of convergence in L2L2, and to establish the a.s. convergence of some of our schemes.  相似文献

The modulus of continuity of a stochastic process is a random element for any fixed mesh size. We provide upper bounds for the moments of the modulus of continuity of Itô processes with possibly unbounded coefficients, starting from the special case of Brownian motion. References to known results for the case of Brownian motion and Itô processes with uniformly bounded coefficients are included. As an application, we obtain the rate of strong convergence of Euler–Maruyama schemes for the approximation of stochastic delay differential equations satisfying a Lipschitz condition in supremum norm.  相似文献

This article studies the rate of convergence of the weak Euler approximation for Itô diffusion and jump processes with Hölder-continuous generators. It covers a number of stochastic processes including the nondegenerate diffusion processes and a class of stochastic differential equations driven by stable processes. To estimate the rate of convergence, the existence of a unique solution to the corresponding backward Kolmogorov equation in Hölder space is first proved. It then shows that the Euler scheme yields positive weak order of convergence.  相似文献

We propose a new scheme for the long time approximation of a diffusion when the drift vector field is not globally Lipschitz. Under this assumption, a regular explicit Euler scheme–with constant or decreasing step–may explode and implicit Euler schemes are CPU-time expensive. The algorithm we introduce is explicit and we prove that any weak limit of the weighted empirical measures of this scheme is a stationary distribution of the stochastic differential equation. Several examples are presented including gradient dissipative systems and Hamiltonian dissipative systems.  相似文献

In this paper, we are concerned with the numerical approximation of stochastic differential equations with discontinuous/nondifferentiable drifts. We show that under one-sided Lipschitz and general growth conditions on the drift and global Lipschitz condition on the diffusion, a variant of the implicit Euler method known as the split-step backward Euler (SSBE) method converges with strong order of one half to the true solution. Our analysis relies on the framework developed in [D. J. Higham, X. Mao and A. M. Stuart, Strong convergence of Euler-type methods for nonlinear stochastic differential equations, SIAM Journal on Numerical Analysis, 40 (2002) 1041-1063] and exploits the relationship which exists between explicit and implicit Euler methods to establish the convergence rate results.  相似文献

We study sequences of empirical measures of Euler schemes associated to some non-Markovian SDEs: SDEs driven by Gaussian processes with stationary increments. We obtain the functional convergence of this sequence to a stationary solution to the SDE. Then, we end the paper by some specific properties of this stationary solution. We show that, in contrast to Markovian SDEs, its initial random value and the driving Gaussian process are always dependent. However, under an integral representation assumption, we also obtain that the past of the solution is independent of the future of the underlying innovation process of the Gaussian driving process.  相似文献

We provide sufficient conditions for polynomial rate of convergence in the weak law of large numbers for supercritical general indecomposable multi-type branching processes. The main result is derived by investigating the embedded single-type process composed of all individuals having the same type as the ancestor. As an important intermediate step, we determine the (exact) polynomial rate of convergence of Nerman’s martingale in continuous time to its limit. The techniques used also allow us to give streamlined proofs of the weak and strong laws of large numbers and ratio convergence for the processes in focus.  相似文献

The paper deals with non asymptotic computable bounds for the geometric convergence rate of homogeneous ergodic Markov processes. Some sufficient conditions are stated for simultaneous geometric ergodicity of Markov chain classes. This property is applied to nonparametric estimation in ergodic diffusion processes.  相似文献

Summary In this article, we obtain some sufficient conditions for weak convergence of a sequence of processes {X n } toX, whenX arises as a solution to a well posed martingale problem. These conditions are tailored for application to the case when the state space for the processesX n ,X is infinite dimensional. The usefulness of these conditions is illustrated by deriving Donsker's invariance principle for Hilbert space valued random variables. Also, continuous dependence of Hilbert space valued diffusions on diffusion and drift coefficients is proved.Research supported by National Board for Higher Mathematics, Bombay, IndiaPart of the work was done at University of California, Santa Barbara, USA  相似文献

A coupling method is used to obtain the explicit upper and lower bounds for convergence rates in strong ergodicity for Markov processes. For one-dimensional diffusion processes and birth–death processes, these bounds are sharp in the sense that the upper one and the lower one only differ in a constant.  相似文献

This paper aims at developing a systematic study for the weak rate of convergence of the Euler–Maruyama scheme for stochastic differential equations with very irregular drift and constant diffusion coefficients. We apply our method to obtain the rates of approximation for the expectation of various non-smooth functionals of both stochastic differential equations and killed diffusion. We also apply our method to the study of the weak approximation of reflected stochastic differential equations whose drift is Hölder continuous.  相似文献

We consider the small mass asymptotic (Smoluchowski–Kramers approximation) for the Langevin equation with a variable friction coefficient. The friction coefficient is assumed to be vanishing within certain region. We introduce a regularization for this problem and study the limiting motion for the 1-dimensional case and a multidimensional model problem. The limiting motion is a Markov process on a projected space. We specify the generator and the boundary condition of this limiting Markov process and prove the convergence.  相似文献

This work is concerned with several properties of solutions of stochastic differential equations arising from hybrid switching diffusions. The word “hybrid” highlights the coexistence of continuous dynamics and discrete events. The underlying process has two components. One component describes the continuous dynamics, whereas the other is a switching process representing discrete events. One of the main features is the switching component depending on the continuous dynamics. In this paper, weak continuity is proved first. Then continuous and smooth dependence on initial data are demonstrated. In addition, it is shown that certain functions of the solutions verify a system of Kolmogorov's backward differential equations. Moreover, rates of convergence of numerical approximation algorithms are dealt with.  相似文献

Recently, numerical solutions of stochastic differential equations have received a great deal of attention. Numerical approximation schemes are invaluable tools for exploring their properties. In this paper, we introduce a class of stochastic age-dependent (vintage) capital system with Poisson jumps. We also give the discrete approximate solution with an implicit Euler scheme in time discretization. Using Gronwall’s lemma and Barkholder-Davis-Gundy’s inequality, some criteria are obtained for the exponential stability of numerical solutions to the stochastic age-dependent capital system with Poisson jumps. It is proved that the numerical approximation solutions converge to the analytic solutions of the equations under the given conditions, where information on the order of approximation is provided. These error bounds imply strong convergence as the timestep tends to zero. A numerical example is used to illustrate the theoretical results.  相似文献

In this paper we discuss split-step forward methods for solving Itô stochastic differential equations (SDEs). Eight fully explicit methods, the drifting split-step Euler (DRSSE) method, the diffused split-step Euler (DISSE) method and the three-stage Milstein (TSM 1a-TSM 1f) methods, are constructed based on Euler-Maruyama method and Milstein method, respectively, in this paper. Their order of strong convergence is proved. The analysis of stability shows that the mean-square stability properties of the methods derived in this paper are improved on the original methods. The numerical results show the effectiveness of these methods in the pathwise approximation of Itô SDEs.  相似文献
