Ultrafast imaging tools are of great importance for determining the dynamic density distribution in high energy density(HED) matter. In this work, we designed a high energy electron radiography(HEER) system based on a linear electron accelerator to evaluate its capability for imaging HED matter. 40 MeV electron beams were used to image an aluminum target to study the density resolution and spatial resolution of HEER. The results demonstrate a spatial resolution of tens of micrometers. The interaction of the beams with the target and the beam transport of the transmitted electrons are further simulated with EGS5 and PARMELA codes, with the results showing good agreement with the experimental resolution.Furthermore, the experiment can be improved by adding an aperture at the Fourier plane.  相似文献

The excitation, of acoustic emission by a pulsed beam of protons with energy Ep = 70 MeV in methanol is investigated. Growth of the acoustic signal at the end of the proton trajectory is observed. The hydrodynamic characteristics of the acoustic emission are calculated on the assumption that the sources of elastic waves in the liquids are microcavities formed at the stopping sites of slow ionization electrons, i.e., so-called electrons.Translated from Izvestiya Vysshikh Uchebnykh Zavedenii, Fizika, No. 8, pp. 91–95, August, 1977.The authors wish to thank M. Electrons with abnormally high energies of up to 16 keV are detected from an iron target irradiated by ions (H+, Fe+, Fe2+, Fe3+) with energies ranging from 20 to 100 keV from the plasma of a high-power femtosecond laser pulse with an intensity of 1016 J/(s cm2). These electrons indicate that the energy of an incident ion is almost completely transferred to an electron knocked out of the target. In a range of 6–16 keV, the spectrum of electrons knocked out of the K shell of iron atoms by protons with an energy of 22 ± 2 keV is quasi-exponential with an exponent of 4 keV. For 8-keV electrons, the double differential cross section for ionization by such protons is estimated as 10?7 b/(eV sr).  相似文献

We produced cylindrically imploded plasmas, which have the same density-radius product of the imploded plasma rhoR with the compressed core in the fast ignition experiment and demonstrated efficient fast heating of cylindrically imploded plasmas with an ultraintense laser light. The coupling efficiency from the laser to the imploded column was 14%-21%, implying strong collimation of energetic electrons over a distance of 300 microm of the plasma. Particle-in-cell simulation shows confinement of the energetic electrons by self-generated magnetic and electrostatic fields excited along the imploded plasmas, and the efficient fast heating in the compressed region.  相似文献

The movement of protons in copper is studied using Ashcroft model potential and modified Hartree dielectric function. Octahedral position is found to be more favourable. The calculated activation energy is in good agreement with experiment for 0.31 e effective charge of the proton.  相似文献

衍射光的多普勒频移是与光栅运动速度有关的量.激光束依次通过动光栅、静光栅衍射,然后使1对光频不同、彼此平行又能部分重叠的衍射光束通过硅光电池进行光电转换,得到的信号电流的频率等于多普勒频移.信号电流经I/V转换、f/V转换和A/D转换后,由单片机测出电压,由此就可以确定动光栅的运动速度.最后对利用双光栅的多普勒频移测气垫导轨上滑块的速度进行分析和讨论.  相似文献

准确测量气态靶区的有效靶原子密度能够提升离子与气体和离子与等离子体靶相互作用实验结果的精度和对物理过程的认识.实验中利用离子加速器引出的100 ke V质子束穿过一定长度的氢气靶,对质子的剩余能量进行了精确测量,获得了在气体靶内的质子能损数据,结合已有的能损研究结果,重新标定了气体靶区内的有效靶原子密度.分别比较了能损、电离型真空计IonIVac ITR 90和薄膜电容型真空计Varian CDG-500的实验测量结果,对比了修正后的电离型真空计有效气压曲线,结果发现质子束能损的测量方式具有原位、高准确性、在线监测等突出优势,为诊断气态靶有效原子密度提供了新的方法.  相似文献

A measurement of the double-differential cross-section for the production of charged pions in proton–tantalum collisions emitted at large angles from the incoming beam direction is presented. The data were taken in 2002 with the HARP detector in the T9 beam line of the CERN PS. The pions were produced by proton beams in a momentum range from 3 GeV/c to 12 GeV/c hitting a tantalum target with a thickness of 5% of a nuclear interaction length. The angular and momentum range covered by the experiment (100 MeV/c ≤p< 800 MeV/c and 0.35 rad ≤θ< 2.15 rad) is of particular importance for the design of a neutrino factory. The produced particles were detected using a small-radius cylindrical time projection chamber (TPC) placed in a solenoidal magnet. Track recognition, momentum determination and particle identification were all performed based on the measurements made with the TPC. An elaborate system of detectors in the beam line ensured the identification of the incident particles. Results are shown for the double-differential cross-sections d2σ/dpdθ at four incident proton beam momenta (3 GeV/c, 5 GeV/c, 8 GeV/c and 12 GeV/c). In addition, the pion yields within the acceptance of typical neutrino factory designs are shown as a function of beam momentum. The measurement of these yields within a single experiment eliminates most systematic errors in the comparison between rates at different beam momenta and between positive and negative pion production. A new method to measure the total energy density of waves traveling in opposite directions in ducts is suggested in order to completely eliminate phase errors that lead to bias errors and are difficult to control in industrial tests. Only the auto-power spectral densities are measured by the three microphones. The inversion of a linear system based on a propagation model, where the two opposite waves are partially coherent, makes it possible to obtain the energy density. The sensitivity of this method to errors in the speed of sound, errors of microphone calibration and errors of microphone positions in the duct is analyzed. To complete the study on the robustness of the method, an evaluation of the statistical errors is carried out. The total uncertainty is used to make recommendations on the choice of the experimental parameters. The selection of the frequency limits permits to maintain the measurement uncertainty within a given confidence interval.  相似文献

惯性约束聚变点火成功的关键之一在于靶丸内形成均匀的氘氚冰层,靶丸周围的温度场对冰层质量有很大影响.首先通过实验靶系统实验验证了数值计算模型的可靠性,在此模型的基础上,对低温冷冻靶装置的热物理问题特别是温度动态特性问题展开了数值模拟,重点考察冷环温度波动时,温度传递衰减过程的规律以及各影响因素对于温度传递衰减过程的影响.结果显示:冷环温度一定时,填充气体压力降低、填充气体中氦气比例增大,靶丸表面温度均匀性提高;当冷环温度波动时,温度波动的周期减小、振幅减小、填充气体压力升高、填充气体中氦气比例降低有利于控制靶丸表面温度波动;冷环温度波动的周期适中、振幅减小、填充气体压力降低、填充气体中氦气比例提高有利于改善靶丸表面温度均匀性.研究结果对实验中冷冻靶合理配置各参数实现温度控制具有重要参考价值.  相似文献

快点火激光惯性约束聚变将压缩与点火过程分开,与中心点火方式相比,大大放宽了对压缩对称性和能量的要求,是国际惯性约束聚变研究的热点方向。在神光Ⅱ装置上开展的快点火锥壳靶预压缩实验中,背光分幅图像显示导引锥及输运丝对靶丸预压缩过程无明显影响,实验结果与一维数值模拟结果吻合也证明了该结论;实验中通过调节导引锥尺寸和相对靶丸的位置,可保证最大压缩时刻导引锥保存完好,这对超热电子的输运以及能量沉积是至关重要的。  相似文献
