Er^3 -doped TeO2-WO3-ZnO glasses were prepared and the absorption spectra, emission spectra and fluorescence lifetimes were measured. With more Te02 content in the glasses, the emission full width at half maximum (FWHM) increases while the lifetime of the ^4I13/2 level of Er^3 decreases. The stimulated emission cross-sectionof Er^3 calculated by the McCumber theory is as large as 0.86pm^2. The product of the FWHM and the emissioncross-section σe of Er^3 in TeO2-WO3-ZnO glass is larger than those in other glasses, which indicates that the glasses are promising candidates for Er^3 -doped broadband amplifiers. The Judd-Otfelt parameter Ω6 shows close composition dependence of the 1.5μm emission bandwidth. The more the TeO2 content is, the larger thevalues of Ω6 and FWHM.  相似文献

We investigate the absorption, stimulated emission cross section and potential laser parameters of Yb^3 doped gernano-silicate glasses (GSY glass). The emission cross section is evaluated by using the measured absorption spectra and the principle of reciprocity. It is found that Yb^3 in GSY glasses has high stimulated emission cross section of 0.5-0.65pm^2 near 1020nm and exists long measured fluorescence lifetime of 1.20-2.00ms. Compared with other glass hosts, the GSY glass exhibits excellent general spectroscopic properties for Yb^3 -doped double-cladding fibres.  相似文献

We investigate the thermal stability and kinetics of Cu65Hf35 bulk metallic glass (BMG). Cu65Hf35 glassy rods in diameter up to 2 mm are prepared by a conventional copper mould suction casting. Kinetics of glass transition and crystallizations are investigated and the ideal glass transition temperature of the alloy is obtained. It is found that the dependence of crystallization temperature of the BMG on the heating rates follows the Vogel-Fhlcher- Tammann (VFT) non-linear relationship rather than the Kissinger and Lasocka linear fittings. The long-term thermal stability of the BMG is investigated by means of continuous crystallization diagrams obtained from the extension of VFT analysis. It is suggested that ideal glass transition and crystallization temperatures can also be regarded as the long-term stability criteria of the BMG.  相似文献

The upconversion properties of Tm^3 /Yb3 -codoped lead chloride tellurite glass under 980hm excitation were investigated. The intense blue (476nm) emission and weak red (649 nm) emission corresponding to the ^1G4→4 ^3H6 and ^1G4→^3H4 transitions of Tm^3 ions, respectively, were simultaneously observed at room temperature. The dependence of upconversion intensities on excitation power and the possible upconversion mechanisms are evaluated. The intense blue upconversion luminescence of Tm^3 /Yb^3 -codoped lead chloride tellurite glass can be used as potential host material for the development of blue upconversion optical devices.  相似文献

The absorption,stimulated emission cross section and potential laser parameters of heavy metal silicate glasses doped with Yb^3 ions have been investigated.The emission cross section has been evaluated by using the measured absoprtion spectra and principle of reciprocity.It is found that Yb^3 in SiO2-Bi2O3-B2O3 glass has high stimulated emission cross section of 0.09pm^2 for the 2F5/1→2F7/2 transition and exists short measured fluorescence lifetime of 0.78ms.On the other hand,the stimulated emission cross section of Yb^3 -doped SiO2-PbO glass was 0.49pm^2,Its measured fluorescence lifetime was 2.00ms.Evaluated from the good potential laser parameters,Yb^3 -doped SiO2-PbO glass may be a good candidate for fibre laser applications.  相似文献

Strong upconversion luminescence of Er3 /Yb3 -doped lead halide tellurite glass under 976nm excitation is demonstrated. Three emission bands centred at 525 nm, 545 nm, and 655 nm resulting from the transitionsfrom the excited states 2H11/2, 4S3/2, and 4F9/2 to the ground state 4I15/2, respectively, are observed evenat 60mW pumping power. The power dependent intensity and the upconversion mechanisms responsible forthe luminescence are evaluated and discussed. The obtained results might provide useful information for thedevelopments of upconversion lasers.  相似文献

We study the structural and infrared-to-visible upconversion fluorescence properties of Er^3 /yb^3 -codoped leadfree germanium-bismuth glass. The structure of lead-free germanium-bismuth-lanthanum glass is investigated by peak-deconvolution of F~aman spectroscopy. Intense green and red emissions centred at 525, 546, and 657nm,corresponding to the transitions ^2H11/2 → 4I15/2, ^4S3/2 → 4I15/2, and 4F9/2 → 4I15/2, respectively, are observed at room temperature. The quadratic dependence of the 525, 546, and 657nm emissions on excitation power indicates that a two-photon absorption process occurs under 975nm excitation.  相似文献

ZnS quantum dots(QDs) synthesized in water and ethanol solutions were coated with polystyrene (PS) and SiO2 shells,respectively.The band edge emission was enhanced by nearly five times after PS coating and by about thirteen times after SiO2 coating,because the surface trap states were removed.From the photoluminescence properties of ZnS QDs coated with PS and SiO2 shells we have detected the improvement of thermal stability.This is due to the fact that the surface passivation can prevent the further growth of the ZnS QDs and the diffusion of oxygen on the surface of ZnS QDs during thermal oxidation.  相似文献

研究了Er3+ 和Yb3+ 共掺碲酸盐玻璃的吸收和荧光光谱性质 ,分析了碲酸盐玻璃中Er3 + 的上转换发光机制 ,应用Judd Ofelt理论计算了玻璃的强度参量Ωt(t =2 ,4,6 ) ,分别为Ω2 =4.74× 10 - 2 0 cm2 ,Ω4=1.46× 10 - 2 0 cm2 ,Ω6 =0 .6 4× 10 - 2 0 cm2 ,计算了Er3+ 离子的自发跃迁几率、荧光分支比 ,应用McCumber理论计算了受激发射截面 ,并比较了Er3 + 在不同基质玻璃中的光谱特性。  相似文献

We investigate the crystallization kinetics of Co48Cr15Mo14C15B6Er2 bulk metallic glass. It is found that Co48Cr15Mo14C15B6Er2 alloy shows extraordinary glass-forming ability, and a fully glassy rod with a diameter of 10mm can be formed, Thermal analysis exhibits that this glassy alloy has a high thermal stability, Johnson-Mehl-Avrami analysis of isothermal differential scanning calorimetry demonstrates that the crystalline phases homogeneously nucleates at a constant rate and grows linearly at a constant rate in three dimensions in the supercooled liquid of the glassy alloy.  相似文献

Mg63Ni22Pr15 metallic glasses are produced by a single roller melt-spinning technique. The hydrogen absorption and desorption capacities are respectively 0.38 and 0.14 wt% at 313 K obtained by pressure-composition isotherm. The amorphous structure is found to be retained after gaseous hydrogenation. The glass transition temperature, the onset crystallization temperature, and the crystallization temperature of the hydrogenated Mg63Ni22Pr15 metallic glass are 550, 570 and 577K, respectively, much higher than the corresponding values of 440, 470 and 499K of the as-quenched sample. This means that dramatic enhancement of thermal stability occurs in Mg63Ni22Pr15 metallic glass due to hydrogenation.  相似文献

Er^{3+}-doped lead chloride tellurite glasses were prepared using the conventional melting and quenching method. The absorption spectra were measured and the Judd-Ofelt analysis was performed. The spectroscopic parameters such as the intensity parameters, transition probabilities, radiative lifetimes, and branching ratios were obtained. Intense infrared emission and visible upconversion luminescence under 976 nm excitation were observed. For the 1.55μm emission, the full width at half maximum and the emission cross sections are more than 50 nm and 8×10^{- 20}cm^2, respectively. Three efficient visible luminescences centred at 525, 547, and 658nm are assigned to the transitions from the excited states {}^{2}H_{11/2}, {}^{4}S_{3/2}, and {}^{4}F_{9/2} to the ground state {}^{4}I_{15/2}, respectively. The upconversion mechanisms and the power-dependent intensities are also discussed and evaluated.  相似文献

We have prepared Er^3 -doped borotellurite glasses using conventional melting and quenching method.The absorption spectrum analysis is performed on the basis of Judd-Ofelt theory.The effects of B2O3 on the spectroscopic parameters such as intersity parameters,line strengths of electric-dipole transitions,and sopontaneous emission probability are discussed.  相似文献

By taking into account all the irreducible representations and their components in the electron-phonon interaction (EPI) as well as all the levels and the admixtures of basic wavefunctions within d^3 electronic configuration,the values of all the parameters in the expressions of thermal shift (TS) and thermal broadening (TB) due to EPI for the ground level,R level and R line of MgO:Cr^3 have microscopically been evaluated;and then,TS and TB of R line and various contributions to them have uniformly been calculated.The results are in very good agreement with the experimental data.It is found that all the three terms of TS due to EPI are red shifts;the Raman term is the largest one,and the optical-branch term and neighbor-level term are important for TS;the contribution to TS from thermal expansion is blue shift,which is also important.The R-line TS of MgO:Cr^3 comes from the first-order term of EPI.The elastic Raman scattering of acoustic phonons plays a dominant role in R-line TB of MgO:Cr^3 .For both TS and TB,it is very important to take into account all the admixtures of basic wavefunctions within d^3 electronic configuration.  相似文献

Erbium-doped TeO_2-based oxysulfide glasses have been prepared in argon atmosphere in graphite crucibles. The results of thermal analysis and spectroscopic properties of Er^{3+} have been studied in terms of sulfide influence. As a function of composition, we have measured principally the optical absorption, spontaneous emission, and lifetime of the materials. Judd-Ofelt theory was introduced to calculate bandwidth and emission cross-section of Er^{3+}. The results demonstrate that addition of sulfide in tellurite glasses results in broad emission spectra, with high emission cross-section, slightly low emission lifetime and a comparatively high thermal stability as pure oxide glasses.  相似文献
