A series of organic/inorganic hybrid materials containing the single-molecule magnet [Mn12(CH3COO)16(H2O)4O12]·2CH3COOH·4H2O with the photochromic compounds azobenzene or disperse red 1 cast into polymethyl methacrylate films was prepared. To understand
the photomodulation of analogous mixtures’ AC susceptibility, we investigated the molecular alignment based on Weigert’s effect
accompanying cycles of cis-trans photoisomerization by alternate irradiations with polarized UV and visible light. Polarized
electronic spectra of the hybrid materials demonstrated gradually increasing anisotropy. These features suggest interactions
between photochromic compounds and the Mn12 complex in polymethyl methacrylate.

ethylene glycol (EG) as solvent and reductant in the presence of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) surfactant and NaOH. The resultant
Ni powders were characterized by XRD, SEM, EDS, and FTIR. Spherical, hexagonal, and triangular fcc Ni powders from 0.30 to
0.60 μm were obtained in the presence of SDS; irregular spherical fcc Ni powders were obtained in its absence. The concentrations
of SDS, NaOH and Ni(CH3COO)2·4H2O greatly influence the product morphology and size.

antitumor selectivity was assessed using normal human peripheral blood mononuclear cells, PBMC as control.

In this report, a rapid, efficient and environmental friendly synthesis of 3-carboxycoumarins under ultrasound irradiation
in water media is described. The Knoevenagel condensation of Meldrum’s acid with substituted benzaldehydes in the presence
of zirconium oxide chloride (ZrOCl2·8H2O) and ultrasonic irradiation in water gave the corresponding 3-carboxycoumarins in good to excellent yields.

Three new copper(II) complex compounds with chlorhexidine diacetate as a ligand have been prepared and characterized by elemental
and thermogravimetrical analyses, molar conductances, magnetic susceptibility measurements, infrared, electronic and EPR spectra.
The complexes correspond to the formulas: [Cu2(CHX)Cl4]·2C2H5OH, [Cu2(CHX)Br4]·2C2H5OH and [Cu2(CHX)(CH3COO)2] (CH3COO)2·2C2H5OH, where CHX = chlorhexidine, their composition and stereochemistry depending on the reaction conditions and the metal salt
used. Chlorhexidine acts as neutral tetradentate NNNN donor, coordinating through the four imine nitrogen atoms. Investigations
on antimicrobial activity in vitro show that all the complexes are active against the tested microorganisms, the complex with chloride being more active against
Gram negative bacteria than chlorhexidine diacetate..

The three-dimensional complex {[Nd(bpdc)1.5(DMF)]·1.4DMF}n (DMF=N,N′-dimethylformamide, bpdc=biphenyl-4,4′-dicarboxylate) was synthesized using the solvothermal method. The crystal structure of the neodymium(III) complex has been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction method at 100(2) K. The polymeric structure consists of neodymium polyhedra bridged by bpdc ligands. Eight-coordinated Nd(III) atoms are surrounded by seven oxygen atoms from six bpdc moieties and one oxygen atom from the DMF molecule. The 3D structure of the complex contains two types of channels occupied by DMF molecules. Thermal analysis revealed that DMF molecules are lost in a stepwise manner. The infrared spectrum confirmed full deprotonation of acid and presence of DMF molecules in the structure. 相似文献

The complexation energies of H3BNHnCl3−n (n= 3-0) complexes and the proton affinities of NHnCl3−n compounds have been computed at the G2(MP2) level of theory. G2(MP2) results show that the successive chlorine substitution
on the ammonia decreases both the basicity of the NHnCl3−n ligands and the stability of H3BNHnCl3−n complexes. The findings are interpreted in terms of the rehybridisation of the nitrogen lone-pair orbital. The NBO partitioning
scheme shows that the variation of the N-H and N-Cl bond lengths, upon complexation, is due to variation of “s” character
in these bonds.

Layered compounds with CdS particles supported on the ion-exchanger, γ-titanium dihydrogen phosphate, were prepared by the
stepwise reaction of the ion-exchanger and cadmium solution, followed by reaction with H2S gas. The CdS content on the ion-exchanger is dependent on the timeframe of the H2S gas flow. The materials obtained were layered, as shown by the X-ray measurements that exhibit both precursor and CdS diffraction
peaks. The thermal treatment of the material obtained gives evidence of its stability (≤ 320°C) before the CdS decomposition,
which occurs in a single step.

The interaction of [Pd(DAP)(H2O)2]2+ (DAP = 1,3-diaminopropane) with some selected bio-relevant ligands, containing different functional groups, were investigated.
The ligands used are dicarboxylic acids, amino acids, peptides and DNA constituents. Stoichiometry and stability constants
of the complexes formed are reported at 25°C and 0.1 M ionic strength. The results show the formation of 1:1 complexes with
amino acids and dicarboxylic acids. The effect of chelate ring size of the dicarboxylic acid complexes on their stability
constants is examined. Peptides form both 1:1 complexes and the corresponding deprotonated amide species. DNA constituents
form 1:1 and 1:2 complexes. The effect of dioxane on the acid dissociation constants of CBDCA and the formation constant of
its complex with Pd(DAP)2+ was reported. The kinetics of hydrolysis of glycine methyl ester bound to [Pd(DAP)(H2O)2]2+ was studied at 25°C and 0.1M ionic strength.

The Pd(DMPA)Cl2 complex, where DMPA = N,N-dimethylaminoproylamine, was synthesized and characterized. The stoichiometry and stability constants of the complexes formed between various dicarboxylic acids and [Pd(DMPA)(H2O)2]2+ were investigated. The effect of solvent dielectric constant, chloride ion concentration of the medium and temperature on the stability constant of the cyclobutanedicaroxylic acid (CBDCA) complex was investigated. The equilibrium constants for the displacement of coordinated CBDCA by inosine, taken as an example of DNA constituents, were calculated. Complex formation between curcumin and Hg(II) ion MeOH/H2O (1: 1 v/v) was investigated and monitored by the spectrophotometric method. The absorption peak of unreacted curcumin which
was close and overlapped with that of the complex, was removed by calculation using Microsoft Excel, thereby, allowing determination
of the stoichiometry of the complex by the mole-ratio and the Job’s continuous variation methods. Both methods indicated that
a 1:1 complex of curcumin and Hg(II) was formed in solution. The formation constant of the 1:1 Hg(II) complex was obtained
from two methods, the equilibrium concentration calculation and the linear plot of Benesi-Hildebrand equation, as log K =
4.44 ± 0.16 and 4.83 ± 0.02, respectively. The structure is proposed as a tetrahedral complex of Hg(II) with one curcumin
and two chloride ions as ligands.

Water-soluble Mn3O4 nanocrystals have been prepared through thermal decomposition in a high temperature boiling solvent, 2-pyrrolidone. The final
product was characterized with XRD, SEM, TEM, FTIR and Zeta Potential measurements. Average crystallite size was calculated
as ∼15 nm using XRD peak broadening. TEM analysis revealed spherical nanoparticles with an average diameter of 14±0.4 nm.
FTIR analysis indicated that 2-pyrrolidone coordinates with the Mn3O4 nanocrystals only via O from the carbonyl group, thus confining their growth and protecting their surfaces from interaction
with neighboring particles.
