In this paper, we propose a discrete viral infection model with a general incidence rate. The discrete model is derived from a continuous case by using a 'mixed' Euler method, which is a mixture of both forward and backward Euler methods. We prove that the mixed Euler method preserves the qualitative properties of the corresponding continuous system, such as positivity, boundedness, and global behaviors of solutions. Furthermore, the model and mathematical results presented in another previous study are extended and generalized. Copyright © 2015 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this paper, the dynamical behavior of a delayed viral infection model with immune impairment is studied. It is shown that if the basic reproductive number of the virus is less than one, then the uninfected equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable for both ODE and DDE model. And the effect of time delay on stabilities of the equilibria of the DDE model has been studied. By theoretical analysis and numerical simulations, we show that the immune impairment rate has no effect on the stability of the ODE model, while it has a dramatic effect on the infected equilibrium of the DDE model.  相似文献

A viral infection model with nonlinear incidence rate and delayed immune response is investigated. It is shown that if the basic reproduction ratio of the virus is less than unity, the infection-free equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable. By analyzing the characteristic equation, the local stability of the chronic infection equilibrium of the system is discussed. Furthermore, the existence of Hopf bifurcations at the chronic infection equilibrium is also studied. By means of an iteration technique, sufficient conditions are obtained for the global attractiveness of the chronic infection equilibrium. Numerical simulations are carried out to illustrate the main results.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose a spatial heterogeneous viral infection model, where heterogeneous parameters, the intracellular delay and nonlocal diffusion of free virions are considered. The global well-posedness, compactness and asymptotic smoothness of the semiflow generated by the system are established. It is shown that the principal eigenvalue problem of a perturbation of the nonlocal diffusion operator has a principal eigenvalue associated with a positive eigenfunction. The principal eigenvalue plays the same role as the basic reproduction number being defined as the spectral radius of the next generation operator. The existence of the unique chronic-infection steady state is established by the super-sub solution method. Furthermore, the uniform persistence of the model is investigated by using the persistence theory of infinite dimensional dynamical systems. By setting the eigenfunction as the integral kernel of Lyapunov functionals, the global threshold dynamics of the system is established. More precisely, the infection-free steady state is globally asymptotically stable if the basic reproduction number is less than one; while the chronic-infection steady state is globally asymptotically stable if the basic reproduction number is larger than one. Numerical simulations are carried out to illustrate the effects of intracellular delay and diffusion rate on the final concentrations of infected cells and free virions, respectively.  相似文献

In this paper, the dynamics behavior of a delayed viral infection model with logistic growth and immune impairment is studied. It is shown that there exist three equilibria. By analyzing the characteristic equations, the local stability of the infection-free equilibrium and the immune-exhausted equilibrium of the model are established. By using suitable Lyapunov functional and LaSalle invariant principle, it is proved that the two equilibria are globally asymptotically stable. In the following, the stability of the positive equilibrium is investigated. Furthermore, we investigate the existence of Hopf bifurcation by using a delay as a bifurcation parameter. Finally, numerical simulations are carried out to explain the mathematical conclusions.  相似文献

Analysis of a viral infection model with delayed immune response   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
It is well known that the immune response plays an important role in eliminating or controlling the disease after human body is infected by virus. In this paper, we investigate the dynamical behavior of a viral infection model with retarded immune response. The effect of time delay on stability of the equilibria of the system has been studied and sufficient condition for local asymptotic stability of the infected equilibrium and global asymptotic stability of the infection-free equilibrium and the immune-exhausted equilibrium are given. By numerical simulating,we observe that the stationary solution becomes unstable at some critical immune response time, while the delay time and birth rate of susceptible host cells increase, and we also discover the occurrence of stable periodic solutions and chaotic dynamical behavior. The results can be used to explain the complexity of the immune state of patients.  相似文献

In this paper, the stability and Hopf bifurcation of a delayed viral infection model with logistic growth and saturated immune impairment is studied. It is shown that there exist 3 equilibria. The sufficient conditions for local asymptotic stability of the infection‐free equilibrium and no‐immune equilibrium are given. We also discussed the local stability of positive equilibrium and the existence of Hopf bifurcation. Moreover, the direction and stability of Hopf bifurcation is obtained by using standard form theory and the center manifold theorem. Finally, numerical simulations are performed to verify the theoretical conclusions.  相似文献

In this paper, we designed and analysed a discrete model to solve a delayed within-host viral infection model by using non-standard finite difference scheme. The original model that we considered was a delayed viral infection model with cell-to-cell transmission, cell-mediated immune response and general nonlinear incidence. We show that the discrete model has equilibria which are exactly the same as those of the original continuous model and the conditions for those equilibria to be globally asymptotically stable are consistent with the original continuous model with no restriction on the time step size. The results imply that the discretization scheme can efficiently preserves the qualitative properties of solutions for corresponding continuous model.  相似文献

The rate of infection in many virus dynamics models is assumed to be bilinear in the virus and uninfected target cells. In this paper, the dynamical behavior of a virus dynamics model with general incidence rate and cure rate is studied. Global dynamics of the model is established. We prove that the virus is cleared and the disease dies out if the basic reproduction number R0≤1 while the virus persists in the host and the infection becomes endemic if R0>1.  相似文献

In this paper, the global stability of a virus dynamics model with intracellular delay, Crowley–Martin functional response of the infection rate, and CTL immune response is studied. By constructing suitable Lyapunov functions and using LaSalles invariance principle, the global dynamics is established; it is proved that if the basic reproductive number, R0, is less than or equal to one, the infection‐free equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable; if R0 is more than one, and if immune response reproductive number, R0, is less than one, the immune‐free equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable, and if R0 is more than one, the endemic equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable. A viral infection model with immune circadian rhythms is investigated in this paper. By employing the persistence theory, we establish a threshold between the extinction and the uniform persistence of the disease. These results can be used to explain the oscillation behaviors of virus population, which were observed in chronic HBV or HCV carriers. Further, numerical simulations indicate that the dynamics of the lytic component of cytotoxicity T cells (CTLs) is crucial to the outcome of a viral infection.  相似文献

In this paper, a SIR model with two delays and general nonlinear incidence rate is considered. The local and global asymptotical stabilities of the disease‐free equilibrium are given. The local asymptotical stability and the existence of Hopf bifurcations at the endemic equilibrium are also established by analyzing the distribution of the characteristic values. Furthermore, the sufficient conditions for the permanence of the system are given. Some numerical simulations to support the analytical conclusions are carried out. At last, some conclusions are given. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this paper, an HIV-1 infection model with a saturation infection rate and an intracellular delay accounting for the time between viral entry into a target cell and the production of new virus particles is investigated. By analyzing the characteristic equations, the local stability of an infection-free equilibrium and a chronic-infection equilibrium of the model is established. By using suitable Lyapunov functionals and the LaSalle invariant principle, it is proved that if the basic reproduction ratio is less than unity, the infection-free equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable; if the basic reproduction ratio is greater than unity, the chronic-infection equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable.  相似文献
