A complex [Ni(L · CH3OH)2] · CH3OH was synthesized, in which a Schiff base ligand HL · CH3OH, was derived from condensation of 1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-(p-methylbenzoyl)-5-pyrazolone with L-Valine methyl ester. They were characterized by IR and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The ligand contains three independent molecules L · CH3OH. The complex has a dissociative methanol and nickel six-coordinated compound. Every fragment is a distorted octahedron with four oxygen atoms and two nitrogen atoms. The HL · CH3OH ligand and its complex have been tested in vitro to evaluate their antibacterial activity against bacteria Escherichia coli and Bacillus subtilis. It has been found that the complex has higher activity than the corresponding free ligand HL · CH3OH against the same bacteria. The HL · CH3OH ligand and its complex have been tested by liquid fluorescent. It has been found that the complex has higher fluorescence property than ligand.  相似文献

The crystal structures of cobalt(II) Schiff base complex (CoIIL2 · H2O) and Schiff base ligand 3,5-dichlorosalicylidene-2-chlorophenylmethylamine (HL) have been determined by single-crystal X-ray analysis. The geometry around cobalt in CoIIL2 · H2O is distorted tetrahedral. CoIIL2 · H2O crystallizes in the monoclinic system, in space group C2/c, with crystallographic parameters: a = 12.9143(16) Å, b = 8.8326(16) Å, c = 25.115(3) Å, β = 92.791(10)°, V = 2861.4(7) Å3, Z = 4, F(000) = 1420, and the final R indices (I > 2σ(I)) are R 1 = 0.0440, wR 2 = 0.1272. HL crystallizes in the monoclinic system, in space group P21/c, with crystallographic parameters: a = 11.9764(15), b = 8.2331(10), c = 14.2211(17) Å, β = 98.723(6)°, V = 1386.0(3) Å3, Z = 4, F(000) = 640, and the final R indices (I > 2σ(I)) are R 1 = 0.0397, wR 2 = 0.1018.  相似文献

A new Schiff base cobalt(III) complex with the formula [CoL1L2(N3)]·NO3 (L1 is 2-[1-(2-phenylaminoethylimino)ethyl]phenolate, L2 is N-phenylethane-1,2-diamine) is prepared and characterized by physicochemical methods and single crystal X-ray determination. The complex crystallizes in the triclinic system space group P-1, with a = 8.504(2) Å, b = 14.973(3) Å, c = 20.676(4) Å, α = 100.021(3)°, β = 90.005(3)°, γ = 103.084(2)°, V = 2523.0(9) Å3, Z = 4, R 1 = 0.0732, and wR 2 = 0.1182. Single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that the complex contains two mononuclear [CoL1L2(N3)]+ cations and two nitrate anions. The Co atom is six-coordinated in an octahedral geometry. The ligands and the cobalt(III) complex are screened in vitro for their antibacterial activity against Bacillus subtillis, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and Pseudomonas aereuguinosa.  相似文献

Reaction of tridentate Schiff bases with nickel and cadmium salts in methanol afforded two new mononuclear complexes, [Ni(L1)2] (I) and [Cd(L2)2] (II), where L1 and L2 are the anions of 2-bromo-4-chloro-6-[(3-dimethylaminopropylimino)methyl]phenol (HL1) and 2-bromo-4-chloro-6-[(3-morpholin-4-ylpropylimino)methyl]phenol (HL2), respectively. The complexes were characterized by singlecrystal X-ray diffraction (CIF files CCDC nos. 1428653 (I) and 1428654 for (II)), FT-IR, and elemental analysis. Complex I crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2 1/c, with a = 8.8216(8), b = 14.0424(8), c = 11.8687(12) Å, β = 111.238(2)°, V = 1370.4(2) Å3, Z = 2. Complex II crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2 1/n, with a = 9.6774(4), b = 15.8970(6), c = 20.3144(7) Å, β = 90.408(2)°, V = 3125.1(2) Å3, Z = 4. The metal atoms in the complexes are coordinated by two tridentate Schiff base ligands, forming octahedral coordination. The free Schiff bases and the complexes were assayed for antibacterial activities. Both complexes are more active against the bacteria than the free Schiff bases. Complex II has the MIC value of 0.39 μg mL–1 against Bacillus subtilis.  相似文献

Abstract  Two new complexes, [Ag(L)2](NO3) · (H2O) (1) and [Co(L)2Cl2] (2) [L = 1-(imidazol-1-yl-methyl)-benzotriazole], have been synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray diffraction techniques. In complex (1), the Ag(I) atom adopts a linear coordination geometry involving the imidazole nitrogens of two ligands. The [Ag(L)2] units are developed into a three-dimensional structure by intermolecular hydrogen bonds, π–π interactions, and Ag···O interactions. In complex (2), the Co(II) atom is in a distorted tetrahedral environment with two imidazole nitrogens and two chloride ligands. The [Co(L)2Cl2] units are assembled into a three-dimensional structure by intermolecular hydrogen bonds and π–π interactions. The bioactivities of both complexes have been studied, and the results indicate that complex (1) exhibits excellent radical-scavenging (RS) and fungicidal (FG) activities while complex (2) only has weak fungicidal activity. Syntheses, structures, and antimicrobial activities of cobalt(III) complexes with two tetradentate Schiff-base ligands, (BA)2en?=?bis(benzoylacetone)ethylenediimine dianion and (acac)2en?=?bis(acetylacetone)ethylenediimine dianion, and two axial pyridines (py) have been investigated. These complexes were characterized by FT-IR, 1H-NMR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and elemental analysis. The crystal structures of the complexes were determined by X-ray crystallography. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses revealed that both complexes have distorted octahedral environments, Schiff-base ligand coordinates cobalt in four equatorial positions, and the two axial positions are occupied by pyridines. The pyridines and Schiff-base ligands are involved in N–H···O hydrogen bonds with perchlorate. Biological activities of the ligands and metal complexes have been studied on Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and Bacillus subtilis by the well diffusion method. The activity data show the metal complexes to be more potent than the parent ligand against two bacterial species.  相似文献

Two new mononuclear complexes, [NiL1] · CH3OH (I) and [NiL2] (II), have been prepared from the tetradentate Schiff bases N,N'-bis(5-methylsalicylidene)ethylenediamine (H2L1) and N,N'-bis(5-methylsalicylidene)- o-phenylenediamine (H2L2), respectively. The complexes have been characterized by physico-chemical and spectroscopic methods, as well as single-crystal X-ray determination (CIF files nos. 1428969 (I), 1428968 (II)). Complex I crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1 with a = 6.7387(14), b = 10.7010(17), c = 12.681(2) Å, α = 87.059(2)°, β = 88.828(2)°, γ = 89.901(2)°, V = 913.0(3) Å3, Z = 2. Complex II crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/n with a = 12.1437(11), b = 8.0537(8), c = 18.4545(18) Å, β = 105.088(2)°, V = 1742.7(3) Å3, Z = 4. The nickel atoms in the complexes are coordinated by two phenolate O and two imine N atoms of the tetradentate Schiff base ligands, forming square planar coordination. The complexes and the Schiff base compounds were assayed for antibacterial activities against three Gram-positive bacterial strains (B. subtilis, S. aureus, and St. faecalis) and three Gram-negative bacterial strains (E. coli, P. aeruginosa, and E. cloacae) by MTT method. As a result, the complexes showed effective antimicrobial activity against the microorganisms tested.  相似文献

The Schiff base ligand (HL) obtained from phenylmethanamine and 5-methoxysalicylaldehyde are used as ligands for Co(II) and Ni(II) resulting in complexes [Co(L)2] (I) and [Ni(L)2] (II), and their solid state structures were determined by X-ray crystallography. In both complexes, weak interactions play an important role in the molecular self-assembly. Complex I was stacked up to the 2D layers by C-H…O hydrogen bonds and C-H…π interactions. In contrast, complex II was extended into 2D sheet by C-H…O hydrogen bonds, the C-H…π interactions, and edge-to-face interactions.  相似文献

A new chelating radical ligand, IMMeBzIm (IMMeBzIm = 2-{2′-[(l′-methyl)benzimidazolyl]}-4,4,5,5-tetramethylimidazoline-1-oxyl) and its copper(II) complex [Cu(IMMeBzIm)2(ClO4)]·(ClO4) have been prepared and characterized by IR, magnetic and single-crystal X-ray analysis. In the crystal structures, both free IMMeBzIm and the complex crystallize in monoclinic space groups P2(1)/c and C2/c, respectively. The structure of IMMeBzIm consists of mononuclear molecules. In the complex, the coordination geometry around copper is a distorted square pyramid, and the apical position is occupied by one oxygen atom of ClO4 anion. A 1-D polymer is formed through intermolecular H-bond interactions. The variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility of the free IMMeBzIm suggests weak antiferromagnetic coupling with J = −1.12 cm−1 where the spin Hamitonian is defined as Ĥ = −2  1 Ŝ 2 between radical and radical.  相似文献

以牛磺酸、邻香草醛为原料,合成了配体牛磺酸缩邻香草醛席夫碱,再用所得配体与醋酸镍、邻菲啰啉作用,合成了配合物 [Ni(phen)2(tovsb)]·4H2O(phen=邻菲啰啉,tovsb=牛磺酸缩邻香草醛席夫碱),其结构通过IR,元素分析和X-射线单晶衍射法测定.标题配合物属三斜晶系,Pī空间群;a=1.04661(16),b=1.2303(2),c=1.4063(2) nm,α=83.714(4),β=88.539(3),γ=69.398(3)°,V=1.6947(5)nm3,Z=2.结构分析表明,两个邻菲啰啉共提供四个配位原子,牛磺酸缩邻香草醛席夫碱提供两个配位原子,中心Ni(II)离子是一个六配位的畸变八面体结构.该聚合物中含有四个结晶水分子,水分子通过氢键作用,形成了一个六聚水簇,配合物分子通过氢键和π-π堆积作用形成三维超分子结构.  相似文献

Three new Schiff base complexes, namely [Mn(L)Cl] · H2O (1), [Co(L)Cl]2 · 2CH3COCH3 (2) and [Co(L)NCS]2 (3), where H2L = 2,2′-[propane-1,2-diylbis(nitriloeth-1-yl-1-ylidene)]diphenol, have been prepared and characterized. The syntheses of 1 and 2 have been achieved by reacting equimolar amounts of the respective metal chloride and the tetradentate Schiff base ligand (H2L). While the mononuclear Mn(III) complex 1 was obtained with MnCl2 in acetone medium, the same synthetic system yielded the binuclear Co(III) complex 2 in the presence of CoCl2. Dissolution of 1 and 2 followed by crystallization with ammonium thiocyanate in methanol yielded two isostructural phenoxo-bridged binuclear complexes, namely [Mn(L)NCS]2 (previously reported by us) and a new complex [Co(L)NCS]2 (3), respectively. All the complexes 13 have been characterized by microanalytical, spectroscopic, single crystal X-ray diffraction and other physicochemical studies. Structural studies reveal that 1 adopts a distorted tetragonal pyramidal geometry while 2 and 3 comprise dimeric Co(III) units with bridging phenolate oxygen atoms. All the complex units in 1–3 and the respective solvent molecules are held together by weak intermolecular H-bonding to constitute a supramolecular network in the solid state. The antibacterial activity of the complexes has been tested against some Gram(+) and Gram(?) bacteria.  相似文献

A new naphthalimide Schiff base N-allylamine-4-(ethylenediamine-3-methoxysalicylidene)-1,8-naphthalimide (HL) and its copper(II) complex {N-allylamine-4-(ethylenediamine-3-methoxysalicylidene)-1,8-naphthalimide copper(II)} (CuL2) have been synthesized and characterized. The crystal structure of CuL2 has been determined by X-ray single crystal diffraction. The central Cu(II) ion is four-coordinate with an N2O2 donor set which is afforded by two L ligands, forming a slightly distorted square planar geometry. The interactions of HL and CuL2 with calf thymus DNA were investigated using electronic absorption titration, fluorescence titration, and viscosity measurements. The results indicate that free HL and CuL2 bind to DNA in an intercalation mode, and their binding affinity for DNA takes the order CuL2 > HL. Moreover, the antioxidant assay in vitro also shows that HL and CuL2 possess significant antioxidant activities and CuL2 is more effective than free HL.  相似文献

New complexes of cobalt(III) with the tridentate and tetradentate Schiff base ligands: 3-methoxy-2-{(Z)[(2-hydroxyphenyl)imino]methyl}phenol (H2L1), 4-[(2-hydroxyphenyl)imino]-2-pentanone (H2L2); and 2-((E)-1-(2-((E)-1-(2-hydroxy-4,5-dimethylphenyl)ethylideneamino)ethylimino)ethyl)-4,5 dimethylphenol (H2L3), namely [CoIII(L1)(N-MeIm)3]PF6 (1), [CoIII(L1)(py)3]ClO4 (2), [Co(L1)(py)3][Co(L1)2] (3) and [CoIII(L2)(N-MeIm)3]PF6 (4) and [Co(L3)(N-MeIm)2]PF6 (5), were synthesized and characterized by physico-chemical and spectroscopic methods. The crystal structures of the complexes were determined by X-ray crystallography. In each of these complexes, the cobalt(III) centre has a slightly distorted octahedral environment, utilizing all available coordination centres of the ligands. The complexes were also screened for in vitro antibacterial activities against four human pathogenic bacteria, and their minimum inhibitory concentrations indicated good antibacterial activities.  相似文献

A new Schiff base copper(II) complex, {[CuL(H2O)2][CuL(H2O)]3 · 4H2O · C3H7NO} n (H2L = (Z)-2-(2-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzylideneamino)-4-(methylthio)butanoic acid), was synthesized and characterized by IR, UV, and X-ray diffraction single-crystal analysis. The crystal belongs to the triclinic crystal system, space group with cell parameters a = 5.2027(5) Å, b = 16.6916(16) Å, c = 20.237(2) Å, α = 88.895(10)°, β = 84.127(1)°, γ = 83.577(10)°, V = 1737.2(3) Å3, Z = 1, F(000) = 848, S = 1.042, ρcalcd = 1.561 g cm?3, μ = 1.411 mm?1, the final R 1 = 0.0760 and wR 2 = 0.2318 for 6030 observed reflections (I > 2σ(I)). The crystal structure of the complex contains two independent units with different coordination environments. In independent unit 1, the Cu(1) is five-coordinated by one nitrogen atom and two oxygen atoms from the Schiff base ligand and two oxygen atoms from two water molecules to form a distorted square pyramid geometry. On the other hand, in independent unit 2, the Cu(2) is five-coordinated and possesses a slightly distorted square-pyramidal coordination geometry, defined by one nitrogen atom, one hydroxyl oxygen atom, two carboxylate oxygen atoms in two different ligands, and one oxygen atom of the water molecule. The complex forms a one-dimensional chain polymer in the xy plane through carboxyl oxygen atoms in the Schiff base ligands.  相似文献

Two end-on azido-bridged Co(III) complexes, [Co3(L1)21,1-N3)4(N3)2(OH2)(OCH2CH3)]·0.5H2O (1) and [Co2(L2)21,1-N3)2(N3)2] (2), where L1 and L2 are the deprotonated form of 5-methoxy-2-[(2-morpholin-4-ylethylimino)methyl]phenol and 2-ethoxy-6-[(2-isopropylaminoethylimino)methyl]phenol, respectively, were prepared and structurally characterized by physicochemical and spectroscopic methods and single crystal X-ray determination. Complex (1) is a trinuclear Co compound, while complex (2) is a centrosymmetric dinuclear Co compound. In both complexes, the Co atoms are in octahedral coordination. The preliminary biological tests show that the complexes have excellent antibacterial activity.  相似文献

Two mixed-ligand complexes, [Cu(L)(2imi)] (1) and [Ni(L)(2imi)]·MeOH (2) [L = 2-(((5-chloro-2-oxyphenyl)imino)methyl)phenolato) and 2imi = 2-methyl imidazole], have been prepared by the reaction of appropriate metal salts with H2L and 2-methyl imidazole. Their structures were characterized by microanalysis, FT-IR, UV–vis, molar conductivity, and 1H NMR for [Ni(L)(2imi)]·MeOH. The structures were determined using single crystal X-ray diffraction. Each four-coordinate metal center, Cu(II) in 1 and Ni(II) in 2, is surrounded by donors of Schiff base (L2?) and N of 2-methyl imidazole in square planar geometries. α-Amylase activities of these compounds have also been investigated. The experimental data showed that α-amylase was inhibited by Ni(II) complex while the Cu(II) complex causes a 1.3-fold decrease in Km value. Antimicrobial results show that these compounds, especially the Cu(II) complex, have potential for antibacterial activity against Gram negative and Gram positive bacteria and antifungal activity against Aspergillus fumigatus.  相似文献

The crystal structure of the title complex {[Co(TCB)2/2-(IMI)2(H2O)2][Co(IMI)4(H2O)2] } (H2O)4 (where TCB = 1,2,4,5-benzenetetracarboxylic anion; IMI = imidazole) has been determined by X-ray diffraction method. Crystal data for {[Co(TCB)2/2(IMI)2(H2O)2][Co(IMI)4(H2O)2]}-(H2O)4: triclinic, space group P 1, a = 1.0647(2) nm, b = 1.1165(1)nm,c = 1.00361(1)nm,α = 91.56(1)°,β = 111.34(1)°, γ = 115.642(10)°, V = 0.9772(3) nm5, Z = 1. The polymer cobalt (II) complex has a novel three-dimension network structure. Co(1) atom and Co(2) atom both are coordinated in an octahedral arrangement and located in the center of the coordination anion and the center of the coordination cation, respectively. Moreover four carboxyl groups of TCB are divided into two types, two para-carboxyl groups bridge Co(1) atom in monodentate fashion and other two para-carboxyl groups are in free.  相似文献
