Two new compounds containing the possible Fe(III) spin-crossover cation, [Fe(qsal)2]+ (qsalH = N-(8-quinolyl)salicylaldimine), and nickel bis(dithiolene) anions have been synthesized. Both are 1 : 1 salts [Fe(qsal)2][Ni(dddt)2] · CH3CN · CH3OH (1) and [Fe(qsal)2][Ni(pddt)2] (2) (dddt = 5,6-dihydro-1,4-dithiin-2,3-dithiolate; pddt = 6,7-dihydro-5H-1,4-dithiepin-2,3-dithiolate). They have been characterized by X-ray crystal structure determination, elemental analysis, UV-Vis spectra and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The UV–Vis spectra are dominated by [Ni(L)2]? (1, L = dddt; 2, L = pddt). Magnetic studies show antiferromagnetic interaction in 1 from intermolecular S···S contacts and π–π stacking interactions, while the antiferromagnetic interaction in 2 is very weak.  相似文献

The synthesis and phosphorescence properties of two novel Ir(Ⅲ)complexes bearing tert-butyl substituents,bis(4-tert-butyl-2- phenylbenzothiozolato-N,C~(2′))iridium(Ⅲ)(acetylacetonate)[(tbt)_2Ir(acac)]and bis(4-tert-butyl-1-phenyl-1H-benzimidazolato- N,C~(2′))iridium(Ⅲ)(acetylacetonate)[(tpbi)_2Ir(acac)],are reported, their molecular structures are confirmed by~1H NMR,ESI-MS and elementary analysis.Photoluminescence(PL)studies revealed that they can emit strong green and orange phosphorescence in high quantum yields.Compared to their prototypes lacking of tert-butyl substituents, the two novel iridium(Ⅲ)complexes both have shorter lifetimes and improved or nearly similar PL quantum efficiencies, implying that the exciton quenching is inhibited effectively when molecular steric hindrance increases. The two chelates have great potential to be used as electrophosphorescent materials.  相似文献

Two novel nickel(II) dinuclear complexes [Ni2(cyclam)2- (DTA)](ClO4)2 (1) and [Ni2(TAA)2(DTA)] (ClO4)2 (2) (TAA=N(CH2CH2NH2)3 , cyclam = 1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane, DTA=dithiooxamide) have been prepared and studied by elemental analyses, i.r. and electronic spectra and magnetic measurements. The magnetic susceptibility temperature dependence was measured over the 77–300K range and the observed data were successfully simulated by an equation based on the spin Hamiltonian operator (H=–2JS1S2) giving the exchange integral J=–23.09cm–1 for (1) and J= –26.0cm–1 for (2).  相似文献

Two cubane-type tetranuclear nickel(II) and copper(II) complexes, [Ni4(L1)4(CH3OH)4] (1) and [Cu4(L2)4]·H2O (2), where L1 and L2 are the dianionic forms of the tridentate Schiff bases 4-nitro-2-[(2-hydroxyethylimino)methyl]phenol (H2L1) and 5-methoxy-2-[(2-hydroxyethylimino)methyl]phenol (H2L2), respectively, have been synthesized and characterized by physicochemical methods and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The magnetic properties of the complexes show the presence of ferromagnetic interactions for complex 1 and antiferromagnetic interactions for complex 2, mediated by hydroxyl bridges.  相似文献

To systematically explore the influence of the bulky aromatic ring skeleton with a large conjugated pi-system on the structures and properties of their complexes, six CuII, CoII, and NiII complexes with the anthracene-based carboxylic ligand anthracene-9-carboxylic acid (HL1), were synthesized and characterized, sometimes incorporating different auxiliary ligands: [Cu2(L1)4(CH3OH)2](CH3OH) (1), [Cu4(L1)6(L2)4](NO3)2(H2O)2 (2), {[Cu2(L1)4(L3)](CH3OH)0.25}infinity (3), [Co2(L1)4(L4)2(micro-H2O)](CH3OH) (4), {[Co(L1)2(L5)(CH3OH)2]}infinity (5), and {[Ni(L1)2(L5)(CH3OH)2]}infinity (6) (L2 = 2,2'-bipyridine, L3 = 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane, L4 = 1,10-phenanthroline, and L5 = 4,4'-bipyridine). 1 has a dinuclear structure that is further assembled to form a one-dimensional (1D) chain and then a two-dimensional (2D) network by the C-H...O H-bonding and pi...pi stacking interactions jointly. 2 takes a tetranuclear structure due to the existence of the chelating L2 ligand. 3 possesses a 1D chain structure by incorporating the related auxiliary ligand L3, which is further interlinked via interchain pi...pi stacking, resulting in a three-dimensional (3D) network. 4 also has a dinuclear structure and then forms a higher-dimensional supramolecular network through intermolecular pi...pi stacking and/or C-H...pi interactions. 5 and 6 are isostructural complexes, except they involve different metal ions, showing 1D chain structures, which are also assembled into 2D networks from the different crystallographic directions by interchain pi...pi stacking and C-H...pi interactions, respectively. The results reveal that the steric bulk of the anthracene ring in HL1 plays an important role in the formation of 1-6. The magnetic properties of the complexes were investigated, and the very long intermetallic distances result in weak magnetic coupling, with the exception of 1 and 3, which adopt the typical paddle-wheel structure of copper acetate and are thus strongly coupled.  相似文献

The preparation and spectroscopic characterization of a series of new bis[N-(2,6-di-t-butyl-1-hydroxyphenyl)salicylaldiminato]nickel(II) complexes, [Ni(LX)2], bearing one or two OH and MeO substituents on the salicylaldehyde moiety, as well as radical species generated from these compounds by the oxidation with PbO2, are reported. The [Ni(LX)2] chelates, which appear to be tetrahedral in the solid state and in dioxane solution, are converted into a square-planar configuration in non-donor solvents. The OH-substituted complexes, unlike their MeO analogues, form six-coordinate adducts in pyridine, DMF and DMSO. These new compounds, unlike their analogues with electron-withdrawing substituents (Cl, Br, NO2), are easily oxidized by PbO2 to produce NiII-stabilized phenoxy radicals in which the unpaired electrons are delocalized over the ligand and do not couple with the second radical center. No e.s.r. signals were observed that could be attributed to a M = ±2 transition of the triplet state biradicals.  相似文献

A synthetic procedure for preparation of new amphiphilic copper(II) and nickel(II) azamacrocyclic complexes bearing aromatic substituents is developed. The nature of substituents is shown to exert a negligible influence on spectral and electrochemical characteristics of the prepared compounds. The X-ray diffraction analysis of three copper complexes revealed the formation of the dimers of macrocyclic cations associated by noncovalent interactions, nature of which is determined by the structure of the substituent in the macrocyclic ligand.  相似文献

Summary Four kinds of novel CN-bridged NiII-FeIII complexes, [NiLn(NC)Fe(CN)5] , have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, i.r. and u.v.-vis. spectral analysis, and magnetic moments. The formation of cyanide bridges is evident from the i.r. and u.v.-vis. spectra by the appearance of v(CN) shifts and changes in max with respect to the mononuclear parent complex [Fe(CN)6]3–. The magnetic properties indicate the existence of magnetic spin interactions between NiII and FeIII through the cyanide bridge.  相似文献

Summary Mononuclear complexes of chromium(III), nickel(II) and cobalt(II) derived from 3-oxo-2-phenylhydrazonobutane1-carbamidoxime (OPCA) were prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility measurements and electronic and i.r. studies. The chromium(III) and nickel(II) ions form 1:2 complexes, whereas cobalt(II) forms a 1:1 complex in which the ligand chelates through the nitrogen of the amidoxime and the carbonyl oxygen. An octahedral structure is assigned to these complexes and the ligand field parameters such as Dq, B and were calculated. The nephelexautic parameter, , has values of 0.68, 0.84 and 0.78 for the chromium(III), cobalt(II) and nickel(II) complexes, respectively, suggesting the presence of covalent metal-ligand -bonds.  相似文献

Four novel complexes of nickel(II), Ni(tfac)2(NITPa)2 (1), Ni(tfac)2(NITPhNO2)2 (2), Ni(pfpr)2(NITPa)2 (3) and Ni(pfpr)2(NITPhNO2)2 (4), [tfac=trifluoro- acetato, NITPa=2-(3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl)-4,4,5, 5-tetramethylimidazoline-1-oxy-3-oxid, NITPhNO2= 2-(3-nitrophenyl)-4,4,5,5-tetramethylimidazoline-1-oxyl-3-oxid, pfpr=pentafluoropropionato], have been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, i.r., and electronic spectra, and molar conductances. The temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility for complexes (1) and (3) was measured (4–300K). The observed data were successfully simulated giving the exchange integral J=–1.48cm–1 for (1) and J=–1.25cm–1 for (3). These results indicate a weak antiferromagnetic spin exchange interaction between nickel(II) ion and the radicals.  相似文献

Summary Two CuII complexes, [Cu2(-L)Cl4·H2O (1) and Cu2(-L)Cl4 (2) [-L and -L = meso- and rac-PhS(O)(CH2)2S(O)Ph, respectively], were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, i.r. spectra and molar conductances. In each case, the CuII ion bonds to the 557-01 moiety through oxygen, and may be bridged by the ligand (-L or -L). From magnetic moment measurements at room temperature and variable temperature magnetic susceptibilities, we suggest that complexes (1) and (2) exhibit weak ferromagnetic behaviour.  相似文献

Four new nickel(II) phthalate compounds: mononuclear complexes [Ni(Im)]6(Pht)·H2O (1), [Ni(Pht)(Im)3(H2O)2]·H2O (2) and [Ni(Pht)(2-MeIm)3(H2O)3]·H2O (3), and coordination polymer [Ni(Pht)(4-MeIm)2(H2O)]n (4) (where Pht = dianion of o-phthalic acid, Im = imidazole, 2-MeIm = 2-methylimidazole, 4-MeIm = 4-methylimidazole) have been synthesized. The complexes 14 were characterised by elemental analysis, IR data, thermogravimetric, and X-ray diffraction analyses. X-ray analysis shows that the asymmetric unit of 1 consists of [Ni(Im)]62+ cation, Pht2− anion and solvate H2O molecule. The phthalate dianion does not take part in coordination to metal ion. The cations, anions and water molecules are linked via   N–H??O and O–H??O interactions forming 2D hydrogen-bonded networks. The structures of 2 and 3 are similar to other mononuclear Ni(II) phthalate complexes where Pht2− anions act as monodentate ligands and uncoordinated carboxylate oxygen atoms participate in the formation of hydrogen bonded double-chains. The structure of 4 consists of [Ni(4-MeIm)2(H2O)] building units connected by phthalate ions to form helical chains. The complexes 14 were tested for their ability to increase the biosynthesis of enzymes.  相似文献

The preparation, crystal structures and magnetic properties of the copper(II) complexes of formula [Cu(pyim)(tcm)(2)](n) (1), [Cu(bpy)(tcm)(2)](n) (2), [Cu(4)(bpz)(4)(tcm)(8)] (3), {[Cu(terpy)(tcm)].tcm}(n) (4) and {[Cu(2)(tppz)(tcm)(4)].3/2H(2)O}(n) (5) [pyim = 2-(2-pyridyl)imidazole, tcm = tricyanomethanide, bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine, bpz = 2,2'-bipyrazine, terpy = 2,2':6',2'-terpyridine and tppz = 2,3,5,6-tetrakis(2-pyridyl)pyrazine] are reported. Complexes, 1, 2 and 4 are uniform copper(II) chains with single- (1 and 4) and double-(2) micro-1,5-tcm bridges with values of the intrachain copper-copper separation of 7.489(1) (1), 7.520(1) and 7.758(1) (2) and 7.469(1) A (4). Each copper atom in 1, 2 and 4 is five-coordinate with bidentate pyim (1)/bpy (2) and tridentate terpy (4) ligands and nitrile-nitrogen atoms from bridging (1,2 and 4) and terminal (1) tcm groups building a distorted square pyramidal surrounding. The structure of 3 is made up of neutral centrosymmetric rectangles of (2,2'-bipyrazine)copper(II) units at the corners, the edges being built by single- and double-micro-1,5-tcm bridges with copper-copper separations of 7.969(1) and 7.270(1) A, respectively. Five- and six-coordinated copper atoms with distorted square pyramidal and elongated octahedral environments occur in . Compound 5 is a neutral copper(II) chain with regular alternating bis-tridentate tppz and double micro-1,5-tcm bridges, the intrachain copper-copper distances being 6.549(7) and 7.668(1) A, respectively. The two crystallographically independent copper atoms in 5 have an elongated octahedral geometry with three tppz nitrogen atoms and a nitrile-nitrogen atom from a bridging tcm group in the equatorial positions, and two nitrile nitrogen atoms from a terminal and a bridging tcm ligand occupying the axial sites. The investigation of the magnetic properies of 1-5 in the temperature range 1.9-295 K has shown the occurrence of weak ferro- [J = +0.11(1) cm(-1) (2)] and antiferromagnetic interactions [J = -0.093(1) (1), -0.083(1) (4), -0.04(1) and 1.21(1) cm(-1) (3)] across the micro-1,5-tcm bridges and intermediate antiferromagnetic coupling [-J = 37.4(1) cm(-1) (5)] through bis-tridentate tppz. The values of the magnetic interactions are analyzed through simple orbital symmetry considerations and compared with those previously reported for related systems.  相似文献

Summary Heterotrinuclear CrIII-PdII-CrIII complexes of formulae [Cr(salen)-Pd(dmg)2-Cr(salen)]·H2O (1), [Cr(salen)-Pd(-BD) 2-Cr(salen)]·H2O (2) and [Cr(salen)-Pd(-FD) 2-Cr(salen)]·2H2O (3) [dmg2- =dimethyl-glyoximato, (-BD)2/2- = -benzyldioximato, (-FD)2/2- = -furildioximato and salen2– = N,N-ethylenebis(salicylideneiminate)] have been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, i.r. and electronic spectroscopies, and molar conductances. These complexes are thought to contain extended diomixato bridges. The magnetic properties of complex (1) has been investigated over the 80–300 K range and corresponds to what is expected for an antiferromagnetic CrIII-CrIIIi pair with S Cr = 3/2 and S Pd = 0 (Pd2+ is a diamagnetic in a square-planar environment) local spins. The exchange integral (J) was evaluated as -3.38cm–1 using the spin Hamiltonians = -2J A B(S A = S B = 3/2).  相似文献

The title complexes of Ni and Cu with symmetrical 3,6-di-tert-butyl-o-benzosemiquinone are synthesized. Their EPR spectra and magnetic properties are investigated. The x-ray structure studies [Siemens R3/PC diffractometer, MoK, /20-scanning in the rang 2 2 54°, 2084 reflections withF > 4(F),R = 0.034,R w = 0.039, monoclinic crystals,a = 9.982(2),b = 11.548(2),c = 12.145(2) Å, = 95.05(3)°,Z = 2,d calc = 1.19 g/cm–3, space groupP2 l/c) demonstrated that the complex is monomeric with square-planar coordination for the Ni with theo-semiquinone ligands. The Cu complex is isostructural with the Ni (a = 9.88,b = 11.60,c = 12.15 Å, = 95°]. The dependence of the magnetic moment of the Cu complex on temperature is consistent with the presence in it of two pathways for exchange interaction. These are antiferromagnetic ligand-ligandJ 12 = –179 cm–1 and ferromagnetic metal-ligandJ 13 = 100 cm–1 (mean-square deviation 2%). The Ni complex is diamagnetic over the whole studied temperature range despite the fact that it contains free-radicalo-semiquinone ligands. Such an effect involving electrons belonging to the free-radical ligands is observed for the first time in the magnetochemistry ofd 8- andd 9-transition-metal complexes. It is explained by incorporation of vacantp z- and/or occupiedd xz- andd yz-orbitals of Ni in molecular orbitals containing the -MO of the semiquinone ligands.Institute of Organometallic Chemistry, Russian Academy of Sciences, 603600 Nizhnii Novgorod, Russia. The rotational orientation of cyclopentadienyl rings usually has no effect on d-orbital energy levels and splitting in transition metal complexes. With related but less symmetrical carbocyclic ligands, however, the magnetic properties of the associated complexes can be altered by the alignment of the ligands. Examples of this effect are found in substituted organochromium(II) bis(indenyl) complexes. The monosubstituted compounds (1-RC(9)H(6))(2)Cr (R = t-Bu, SiMe(3)) are prepared from the substituted lithium indenides and CrCl(2) in THF; they are high-spin species with four unpaired electrons. Their spin state likely reflects that in the unknown monomeric (C(9)H(7))(2)Cr, which is calculated to have a high-spin (S = 2) ground state in the staggered configuration (180 degrees rotation angle). However, the analogous bis(indenyl) complexes containing t-Bu or SiMe(3) groups in both the 1 and 3 positions on the indenyl ligands ((1,3-R(2)C(9)H(5))(2)Cr) are low-spin compounds with two unpaired electrons. X-ray diffraction results indicate that [1-(t-Bu)C(9)H(6)](2)Cr exists in a staggered conformation, with Cr-C (av) = 2.32(4) A. In contrast, the average Cr-C distances in [1,3-(t-Bu or SiMe(3))(2)C(9)H(5)](2)Cr are 2.22(2) and 2.20(2) A, respectively, and the rings are in a gauche configuration, with rotation angles of 87 degrees. The indenyl conformations are sterically imposed by the bulk of the t-Bu and SiMe(3) substituents. The change from a staggered to a gauche indenyl orientation lowers the symmetry of a (C(9)H(7))(2)M complex and allows greater mixing of metal and ligand orbitals. Calculations indicate that previously nonbonding pi orbitals of the indenyl anion are able to interact with the chromium d orbitals, producing bonding and antibonding combinations. The latter remain unpopulated, and the resulting increase in the HOMO-LUMO gap forces the complexes to adopt a low-spin configuration. The possibility of using sterically imposed ligand rotation as a means of spin-state manipulation makes indenyl compounds a potentially rich source of magnetically adjustable molecules.  相似文献

Two 2-terephthalate (tp) bridged complexes, [Cu2(tp)(pren)4](ClO4)2 (pren = 1,3-diaminopropane) (1) and [Ni2(tp)(pren)4(Him)2](ClO4)2 (Him = imidazole) (2), have been synthesized and characterized by X-ray single-crystal structural analysis. In the discrete dinuclear [Cu2(tp)(pren)4]2+ cation of complex (1), each CuII atom has a square-pyramidal geometry, being coordinated by four nitrogen atoms (avg. 2.031 Å) from two pren ligands at the basal plane and one oxygen atom [2.259(3) Å] from a bis-monodentate tp group at the axial position. In the discrete dinuclear [Ni2(tp)(pren)4(Him)2]2+ cation of complex (2), each NiII center is coordinated by five nitrogen atoms [Ni—N 2.069(3)–2.109(2) Å] from one Him group and two pren groups, and completed by one oxygen atom [Ni—O 2.138(3) Å] from a bis-monodentate tp group to furnish a distorted octahedron. Magnetic susceptibility studies show that the pair of metal atoms, although being separated by >11.5 Å, exhibit weak intramolecular antiferromagnetic interactions in complexes (1) (g = 2.07 and J = –3.4 cm–1) and (2) (g = 2.10 and J = –0.7 cm–1). The electrochemical behaviors of the complexes have also been studied by cyclic voltammogram processes.  相似文献

The substituted bis(pyrazolyl)methane ligands RCH(3,5-Me2pz)2(R=SiMe3, CH2Ph, G1, G2, and G3; Gn=Fréchet-type dendritic wedges of generation n) have been prepared starting from H2C(3,5-Me2pz)2. Reaction of these didentate ligands with [NiBr2(DME)] is a straightforward procedure that allows the synthesis of the nickel(II) complexes [NiBr2{RCH(3,5-Me2pz)2}]. The molecular structure of compound (R=CH2Ph) has been determined by X-ray diffraction studies. The nickel centre coordinates two bromine and two nitrogen atoms in a tetrahedral environment, and the metallacycle Ni(NN)2C adopts a boat conformation with the benzyl group in an axial position. 1H NMR studies have been carried out to characterize these paramagnetic nickel compounds in solution. Valuable information about the disposition of the ligands and dendritic wedges in solution has been obtained thanks to the influence of the paramagnetic centre on the proton resonances.  相似文献

The procedures for the synthesis of the Cu(II) complexes with bis(pyrazole-1-yl)methane (L1), bis(3,5-dimethyl-4-bromopyrazole-1-yl)methane (L2), and bis(3,5-dimethyl-4-iodopyrazole-1-yl)methane (L3) of the composition Cu2(L1)2Br4 (I), Cu2(L2)2Cl4 (II), Cu(L3)(NO3)2 (III), and Cu(L3)(H2O)(NO3)2 · 2H2O (IV) were developed. The organic ligands in the above complexes are coordinated to Cu(II) in a bidentate cyclic type through the N(2), N(2′) atoms of the pyrazole rings. The molecular and crystal structures of L2, L3, II, III, and IV were determined by X-ray diffraction. The study of the μeff(T) function in a temperature interval 2–300 K showed that compound I, which exhibited ferromagnetic exchange interactions in the chains, undergoes transition to antiferromagnetic state with weak ferromagnetism. The exchange antiferromagnetic interactions predominate in compound II.  相似文献
