This paper is to study the conformal scalar curvature equation on complete noncompact Riemannian manifold of nonpositive curvature. We derive some estimates and properties of supersolutions of the scalar curvature equation, and obtain some nonexistence results for complete solutions of scalar curvature equation.  相似文献

We study K2 of one-dimensional local domains which are essentially of finite type over a field of characteristic 0. We address the problem of finding the K best path trees connecting a source node with any other non-source node in a directed network with arbitrary lengths. The main result in this paper is the proof that the kth shortest path tree is adjacent to at least one of the previous (k-1) shortest path trees. Consequently, we design an O(f(n,m,Cmax)+Km) time and O(K+m) space algorithm to determine the K shortest path trees, in a directed network with n nodes, m arcs and maximum absolute length Cmax, where O(f(n,m,Cmax)) is the best time needed to solve the shortest simple paths connecting a source node with any other non-source node.  相似文献

We study projective curvature tensor in K-contact and Sasakian manifolds. We prove that (1) if a K-contact manifold is quasi projectively flat then it is Einstein and (2) a K-contact manifold is ξ-projectively flat if and only if it is Einstein Sasakian. Necessary and sufficient conditions for a K-contact manifold to be quasi projectively flat and φ-projectively flat are obtained. We also prove that for a (2n + 1)-dimensional Sasakian manifold the conditions of being quasi projectively flat, φ-projectively flat and locally isometric to the unit sphere S 2n+1 (1) are equivalent. Finally, we prove that a compact φ-projectively flat K-contact manifold with regular contact vector field is a principal S 1-bundle over an almost Kaehler space of constant holomorphic sectional curvature 4.  相似文献

It is well known that a Hopf vector field on the unit sphere S 2n+1 is the Reeb vector field of a natural Sasakian structure on S 2n+1. A contact metric manifold whose Reeb vector field ξ is a harmonic vector field is called an H-contact manifold. Sasakian and K-contact manifolds, generalized (kμ)-spaces and contact metric three-manifolds with ξ strongly normal, are H-contact manifolds. In this paper we study, in dimension three, the stability with respect to the energy of the Reeb vector field ξ for such special classes of H-contact manifolds (and with respect to the volume when ξ is also minimal) in terms of Webster scalar curvature. Finally, we extend for the Reeb vector field of a compact K-contact (2n+1)-manifold the obtained results for the Hopf vector fields to minimize the energy functional with mean curvature correction. We prove new estimates of the K-divisibility constants for some special Banach couples. In particular, we prove that the K-divisibility constant for a couple of the form (UV,U) where U and V are non-trivial Hilbert spaces equals . We also prove estimates for the K-divisibility constant of the two-dimensional version of the couple (L2,L), proving in particular that this couple is not exactly K-divisible. There are also several auxiliary results, including some estimates for relative Calderón constants for finite-dimensional couples.  相似文献

We interpret the Steinberg symbols xi,j(a) as homotopies contracting the elementary matrices ei,j(a), the latters being represented by certain arcs in a simplicial model of the K-theory. We further prove the Steinberg relations for these homotopies. This provides an explicit map from K2 of a ring, defined classically as ker(St(R) → GL(R)), to π2 of the G-construction assigned to R. Though the two groups are known to be isomorphic, a certain work is to be done to prove that this explicit map is an isomorphism. We prove that for smooth surfaces over real closed fields, and a class of smooth projective surfaces over a real number field, the map between mod 2 algebraic and étale K-theory is an isomorphism in sufficiently large degrees. For a class of smooth projective surfaces over a real closed field, including rational surfaces, complete intersections and K3-surfaces over the real numbers, we explicate the abutment of the mod 2 motivic cohomology to algebraic K-theory spectral sequence.  相似文献

For submanifolds tangent to the structure vector field in locally conformal almost cosymplectic manifolds of pointwise constantφ-sectional curvature, we establish a basic inequality between the main intrinsic invariants of the submanifold on one side, namely its sectional curvature and its scalar curvature; and its main extrinsic invariant on the other side, namely its squared mean curvature. We prove that the composition of the A-theory transfer with the trace map to stable homotopy is weakly homotopic to the Becker–Gottlieb transfer. This shows that the Waldhausen splitting A(*) ≃ Q (S0) × Wh(*) of A-theory into stable homotopy and the Whitehead space is natural with respect to transfer maps. A families index theorem in K-theory is given for the setting of Atiyah, Patodi, and Singer of a family of Dirac operators with spectral boundary condition. This result is deduced from such a K-theory index theorem for the calculus of cusp, or more generally fibred-cusp, pseudodifferential operators on the fibres (with boundary) of a fibration; a version of Poincaré duality is also shown in this setting, identifying the stable Fredholm families with elements of a bivariant K-group. We study the behavior of complete graphs in with L p -finite r-curvature, that is, whose length of the r-th Newton transformation |P r | is in L p , for some p ≥ 1.
