We study C 1-generic diffeomorphisms with a homoclinic class with non empty interior and in particular those admitting a codimension one dominated splitting. We prove that if in the finest dominated splitting the extreme subbundles are one dimensional then the diffeomorphism is partially hyperbolic and from this we deduce that the diffeomorphism is transitive.  相似文献

Let p be a hyperbolic periodic saddle of a diffeomorphism of f on a closed smooth manifold M, and let Hf(p) be the homoclinic class of f containing p. In this paper, we show that if Hf(p) is locally maximal and every hyperbolic periodic point in Hf(p) is uniformly far away from being nonhyperbolic, and Hf(p) has the average shadowing property, then Hf(p) is hyperbolic.  相似文献

We consider the set of volume preserving partially hyperbolic diffeomorphisms on a compact manifold having 1-dimensional center bundle. We show that the volume measure is ergodic, and even Bernoulli, for any C 2 diffeomorphism in an open and dense subset of This solves a conjecture of Pugh and Shub, in this setting.  相似文献

We study the ergodic theory of non-conservative C 1-generic diffeomorphisms. First, we show that homoclinic classes of arbitrary diffeomorphisms exhibit ergodic measures whose supports coincide with the homoclinic class. Second, we show that generic (for the weak topology) ergodic measures of C 1-generic diffeomorphisms are non-uniformly hyperbolic: they exhibit no zero Lyapunov exponents. Third, we extend a theorem by Sigmund on hyperbolic basic sets: every isolated transitive set Λ of any C 1-generic diffeomorphism f exhibits many ergodic hyperbolic measures whose supports coincide with the whole set Λ.  相似文献

R ‐circles in (non‐degenerate) three dimensional CR manifolds are the analogues to traces of Lagrangian totally geodesic planes on S3 viewed as the boundary of two dimensional complex hyperbolic space. They form a family of certain Legendrian curves on the manifold. We prove that a diffeomorphism between three dimensional CR manifolds which preserve circles is either a CR diffeomorphism or a conjugate CR diffeomorphism.  相似文献

In this paper we count closed orbits of a hyperbolic diffeomorphism restricted to a basic set. In fact we shall be dealing with two types of extensions of a hyperbolic diffeomorphism: a finite group extension (also called G-extensions) and also an automorphism extension (also called (G, ρ)-extensions). In particular we present Chebotarev type theorems and prime orbit theorem for such diffeomorphisms. These counting results are in the form of an asymptotic formula derived in complete analogy with the number theoretic result. The main difficulty is extending the domain of analyticity of the zeta and L-functions and this is overcome by resorting to symbolic dynamics. Unlike the case of a flow, the proof of this extension result does not rely on the properties of the Ruelle–Perron–Frobenius operator. Also the counting results do not use any tauberian theorems. We prove that a partially hyperbolic attractor with two-dimensional central direction Λ is a homoclinic class if it exhibits a hyperbolic periodic orbit O and a Lorenz-like singularity σ with Wu(σ)∩Ws(O)≠∅ such that Ws(σ) is dense in Λ.  相似文献

In [Xiang Zhang, The embedding flows of C hyperbolic diffeomorphisms, J. Differential Equations 250 (5) (2011) 2283-2298] Zhang proved that any local smooth hyperbolic diffeomorphism whose eigenvalues are weakly nonresonant is embedded in the flow of a smooth vector field. We present a new and more conceptual proof of such result using the Jordan-Chevalley decomposition in algebraic groups and the properties of the exponential operator. We characterize the hyperbolic smooth (resp. formal) diffeomorphisms that are embedded in a smooth (resp. formal) flow. We introduce a criterion showing that the presence of weak resonances for a diffeomorphism plus two natural conditions imply that it is not embeddable. This solves a conjecture of Zhang. The criterion is optimal, we provide a method to construct embeddable diffeomorphisms with weak resonances if we remove any of the conditions.  相似文献

We study the chaotic behaviour of a time dependent perturbation of a discontinuous differential equation whose unperturbed part has a sliding homoclinic orbit that is a solution homoclinic to a hyperbolic fixed point with a part belonging to a discontinuity surface. We assume the time dependent perturbation satisfies a kind of recurrence condition which is satisfied by almost periodic perturbations. Following a functional analytic approach we construct a Melnikov-like function M(α) in such a way that if M(α) has a simple zero at some point, then the system has solutions that behave chaotically. Applications of this result to quasi-periodic systems are also given.  相似文献

We prove that a backward orbit with bounded Kobayashi step for a hyperbolic, parabolic or strongly elliptic holomorphic self-map of a bounded strongly convex C2 domain in Cd necessarily converges to a repelling or parabolic boundary fixed point, generalizing previous results obtained by Poggi-Corradini in the unit disk and by Ostapyuk in the unit ball of Cd.  相似文献

For a C 1 generic diffeomorphism if a bi-Lyapunov stable homoclinic class is homogeneous then it does not have weak eigenvalues. Using this, we show that such homoclinic classes are hyperbolic if it has one of the following properties: shadowing, specification or limit shadowing.  相似文献

In this work we extend the results obtained by Gouëzel in [12] to partially hyperbolic attractors. We study a forward invariant set K on a Riemannian manifold M   whose tangent space splits as dominated decomposition TKM=Ecu⊕EsTKM=EcuEs, for which the center-unstable direction EcuEcu is non-uniformly expanding on some local unstable disk. We prove that the (stretched) exponential decay of recurrence times for an induced scheme can be deduced under the assumption of (stretched) exponential decay of the time that typical points need to achieve some uniform expanding in the center-unstable direction. As an application of our results we obtain exponential decay of correlations and exponential large deviations for a class of partially hyperbolic diffeomorphisms considered in [1].  相似文献

In this paper we dramatically expand the domain of known stably ergodic, partially hyperbolic dynamical systems. For example, all partially hyperbolic affine diffeomorphisms of compact homogeneous spaces which have the accessibility property are stably ergodic. Our main tools are the new concepts – julienne density point and julienne quasi-conformality of the stable and unstable holonomy maps. Julienne quasi-conformal holonomy maps preserve all julienne density points. Received June 14, 1999 / final version received October 25, 1999  相似文献

In this paper, we define robust weak ergodicity and study the relation between robust weak ergodicity and stable ergodicity for conservative partially hyperbolic systems. We prove that a Cr(r > 1) conservative partially hyperbolic diffeomorphism is stably ergodic if it is robustly weakly ergodic and has positive (or negative) central exponents on a positive measure set. Furthermore, if the condition of robust weak ergodicity is replaced by weak ergodicity, then the diffeomophism is an almost stably ergodic system. Additionally, we show in dimension three, a Cr(r > 1) conservative partially hyperbolic diffeomorphism can be approximated by stably ergodic systems if it is robustly weakly ergodic and robustly has non-zero central exponents.  相似文献

Differential equations that are equivariant under the action of a finite group can possess robust homoclinic cycles that can moreover be asymptotically stable. For differential equations in R4 there exists a classification of different robust homoclinic cycles for which moreover eigenvalue conditions for asymptotic stability are known. We study resonance bifurcations that destroy the asymptotic stability of robust ‘simple homoclinic cycles’ in four-dimensional differential equations. We establish that typically a periodic trajectory near the cycle is created, asymptotically stable in the supercritical case.  相似文献

In this note, we introduce the notion of nonuniformly sectional hyperbolic set and use it to prove that any C1-open set which contains a residual subset of vector fields with nonuniformly sectional hyperbolic critical set also contains a residual subset of vector fields with sectional hyperbolic nonwandering set. This not only extends Theorem A of Castro [11], but using suspensions we recover it.  相似文献

LetM be a compact connected oriented three dimensional manifold andf:MM an expansive diffeomorphism such that (f)=M. Let us also assume that there is a hyperbolic periodic point with a homoclinic intersection. Thenf is conjugate to an Anosov isomorphism ofT 3. Moreover, we show that at a homoclinic point the stable and unstable manifolds of the hyperbolic periodic point are topologically transverse.  相似文献

We consider partially hyperbolic diffeomorphisms preserving a splitting of the tangent bundle into a strong-unstable subbundleE uu (uniformly expanding) and a subbundleE c, dominated byE uu. We prove that if the central directionE c is mostly contracting for the diffeomorphism (negative Lyapunov exponents), then the ergodic Gibbsu-states are the Sinai-Ruelle-Bowen measures, there are finitely many of them, and their basins cover a full measure subset. If the strong-unstable leaves are dense, there is a unique Sinai-Ruelle-Bowen measure. We describe some applications of these results, and we also introduce a construction of robustly transitive diffeomorphisms in dimension larger than three, having no uniformly hyperbolic (neither contracting nor expanding) invariant subbundles. We prove a dichotomy of C2 partially hyperbolic sets with one-dimensional center direction admitting no zero Lyapunov exponents, either hyperbolicity over the supports of ergodic measures or approximation by a heterodimensional cycle. This provides a partial result to the C1 Palis Conjecture that claims a dichotomy, hyperbolicity or homoclinic bifurcations in a dense subset of the space of C1 diffeomorphisms. Moreover, a theorem of Ma?é applied in the proof is modified to have an additional property concerning the Hausdorff distance between a periodic orbit and the support of a hyperbolic ergodic measure.  相似文献

We give a complete invariant, called global scheme, of topological conjugacy classes of gradient-like diffeomorphisms, on compact 3-manifolds. Conversely, we can realize any abstract global scheme by such a diffeomorphism.  相似文献
