We prove a formula expressing the motivic integral (Loeser and Sebag, 2003) [34] of a K3 surface over C((t)) with semi-stable reduction in terms of the associated limit mixed Hodge structure. Secondly, for every smooth variety over a complete discrete valuation field we define an analogue of the monodromy pairing, constructed by Grothendieck in the case of abelian varieties, and prove that our monodromy pairing is a birational invariant of the variety. Finally, we propose a conjectural formula for the motivic integral of maximally degenerate K3 surfaces over an arbitrary complete discrete valuation field and prove this conjecture for Kummer K3 surfaces. 相似文献

We construct an Enriques surface X over Q with empty étale-Brauer set (and hence no rational points) for which there is no algebraic Brauer–Manin obstruction to the Hasse principle. In addition, if there is a transcendental obstruction on X, then we obtain a K3 surface that has a transcendental obstruction to the Hasse principle. 相似文献

The versal deformation of Stanley–Reisner schemes associated to equivelar triangulations of the torus is studied. The deformation space is defined by binomials and there is a toric smoothing component which I describe in terms of cones and lattices. Connections to moduli of abelian surfaces are considered. We prove that the Néron-Severi groups of several complex Fermat surfaces are generated by lines. Specifically, we obtain these new results for all degrees up to 100 that are relatively prime to 6. The proof uses reduction modulo a supersingular prime. The techniques are developed in detail. They can be applied to other surfaces and varieties as well. 相似文献

We introduce notions of finiteness obstruction, Euler characteristic, L2-Euler characteristic, and Möbius inversion for wide classes of categories. The finiteness obstruction of a category Γ of type (FPR) is a class in the projective class group K0(RΓ); the functorial Euler characteristic and functorial L2-Euler characteristic are respectively its RΓ-rank and L2-rank. We also extend the second author's K-theoretic Möbius inversion from finite categories to quasi-finite categories. Our main example is the proper orbit category, for which these invariants are established notions in the geometry and topology of classifying spaces for proper group actions. Baez and Dolan's groupoid cardinality and Leinster's Euler characteristic are special cases of the L2-Euler characteristic. Some of Leinster's results on Möbius–Rota inversion are special cases of the K-theoretic Möbius inversion. 相似文献

A degree 1 non-negative graded super manifold equipped with a degree 1 vector field Q satisfying [Q,Q]=1, namely a so-called NQ-1 manifold is, in plain differential geometry language, a Lie algebroid. We introduce a notion of fibration for such super manifolds, that essentially involves a complete Ehresmann connection. As it is the case for Lie algebras, such fibrations turn out not to be just locally trivial products. We also define homotopy groups and prove the expected long exact sequence associated to a fibration. In particular, Crainic and Fernandes's obstruction to the integrability of Lie algebroids is interpreted as the image of a transgression map in this long exact sequence. 相似文献

Local models are certain schemes, defined in terms of linear-algebraic moduli problems, which give étale-local neighborhoods of integral models of certain p-adic PEL Shimura varieties defined by Rapoport and Zink. When the group defining the Shimura variety ramifies at p, the local models (and hence the Shimura models) as originally defined can fail to be flat, and it becomes desirable to modify their definition so as to obtain a flat scheme. In the case of unitary similitude groups whose localizations at Qp are ramified, quasi-split GUn, Pappas and Rapoport have added new conditions, the so-called wedge and spin conditions, to the moduli problem defining the original local models and conjectured that their new local models are flat. We prove a preliminary form of their conjecture, namely that their new models are topologically flat, in the case n is odd. 相似文献

Let C be a real nonsingular affine curve of genus one, embedded in affine n-space, whose set of real points is compact. For any polynomial f which is nonnegative on C(R), we prove that there exist polynomials fi with (mod IC) and such that the degrees deg(fi) are bounded in terms of deg(f) only. Using Lasserre?s relaxation method, we deduce an explicit representation of the convex hull of C(R) in Rn by a lifted linear matrix inequality. This is the first instance in the literature where such a representation is given for the convex hull of a nonrational variety. The same works for convex hulls of (singular) curves whose normalization is C. We then make a detailed study of the associated degree bounds. These bounds are directly related to size and dimension of the projected matrix pencils. In particular, we prove that these bounds tend to infinity when the curve C degenerates suitably into a singular curve, and we provide explicit lower bounds as well. 相似文献

Given a polarized manifold there are obstructions for asymptotic Chow semistability described as integral invariants which can be regarded as characters of the Lie algebra of holomorphic vector fields. Let G be a reductive algebraic group over C and denote its Lie algebra by g. Let Oh be a closed G-orbit through a semisimple element h∈g. By a result of Borho and Kraft (1979) [4], it is known that the asymptotic cone of the orbit Oh is the closure of a Richardson nilpotent orbit corresponding to a parabolic subgroup whose Levi component is the centralizer ZG(h) in G. In this paper, we prove an analogue on a semisimple orbit for a symmetric pair.More precisely, let θ be an involution of G, and K=Gθ a fixed point subgroup of θ. Then we have a Cartan decomposition g=k+s of the Lie algebra g=Lie(G) which is the eigenspace decomposition of θ on g. Let {x,h,y} be a normal sl2 triple, where x,y∈s are nilpotent, and h∈k semisimple. In addition, we assume , where denotes the complex conjugation which commutes with θ. Then is a semisimple element in s, and we can consider a semisimple orbit Ad(K)a in s, which is closed. In the present article, we consider Algebraic Geometry codes on some rational surfaces. The estimate of the minimum distance is translated into a point counting problem on plane curves. This problem is solved by applying the upper bound à la Weil of Aubry and Perret together with the bound of Homma and Kim for plane curves. The parameters of several codes from rational surfaces are computed. Among them, the codes defined by the evaluation of forms of degree 3 on an elliptic quadric are studied. As far as we know, such codes have never been treated before. Two other rational surfaces are studied and very good codes are found on them. In particular, a [57,12,34] code over F7 and a [91,18,53] code over F9 are discovered, these codes beat the best known codes up to now. 相似文献

We give a simple and direct proof of the Grobman–Hartman theorem for nonautonomous differential equations obtained from perturbing a nonuniform exponential dichotomy. In particular, we do not need to pass through discrete time and obtain the result as a consequence of a corresponding result for maps. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first direct approach for nonuniform exponential dichotomies. We also show that the conjugacies are continuous in time and Hölder continuous in space. In addition, we describe the dependence of the conjugacies on the perturbation, and we obtain a reversibility result for the conjugacies of reversible differential equations. We emphasize that the additional work required to consider nonuniform exponential dichotomies is substantial. 相似文献

We generalize Springer representations to the context of groups over a global function field. The global counterpart of the Grothendieck simultaneous resolution is the parabolic Hitchin fibration. We construct an action of the graded double affine Hecke algebra (DAHA) on the direct image complex of the parabolic Hitchin fibration. In particular, we get representations of the degenerate graded DAHA on the cohomology of parabolic Hitchin fibers, providing the first step towards a global Springer theory. 相似文献

Let (X,T) be a regular stable conical action of an algebraic torus on an affine normal conical variety X defined over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero. We define a certain subgroup of Cl(X//T) and characterize its finiteness in terms of a finite T-equivariant Galois descent of X. Consequently we show that the action (X,T) is equidimensional if and only if there exists a T-equivariant finite Galois covering such that is cofree. Moreover the order of is controlled by a certain subgroup of Cl(X). The present result extends thoroughly the equivalence of equidimensionality and cofreeness of (X,T) for a factorial X. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate orders of divisor classes associated to modules of relative invariants for a Krull domain with a group action. This is useful in studying on equidimensional torus actions as above. The generalization of R.P. Stanley?s criterion for freeness of modules of relative invariants plays an important role in showing key assertions. 相似文献
