Multi‐wall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and Nafion composite film (MWCNTs/Nafion) were used for fabricating electrochemical sensors for the voltammetric detection of trace lead(II) and cadmium(II) in several water samples. The morphology and structure of MWCNTs/Nafion film were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and infrared spectrum (IR). The electron transfer of MWCNTs/Nafion composite film was examined by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectrum (EIS). Various experimental parameters, which influenced the response of MWCNTs/Nafion/GC to target metals, were optimized. The results showed that the synergistic effect was obtained on the MWCNTs/Nafion/GC whose sensitivity and stability were better than those of Nafion‐coated electrode (Nafion/GC) or CNTs/GC. Stability of the Pb(II) and Cd(II) stripping signals was excellent with relative standard deviations (RSD) within 5% (n=10) from one electrode preparation to another, and RSD of 30 µg·L?1 Pb(II) and Cd(II) were 2.8% and 3.2% for 20 repeated analysis on one single CNTs/Nafion/GC. Over 50 runs, the stability of Pb and Cd detection at the MWCNTs/Nafion conposites electrode was still satisfactory with RSD lower than 6.0%. The determination limits (S/N=3) of the proposed method were determined to be 100 ng·L?1 for Pb and 150 ng·L?1 for Cd. Finally, the MWCNTs/Nafion/GC was successfully applied to determine Pb(II) and Cd(II) in different water samples with recoveries of 97%–103% for Pb and 96%–104% for Cd.  相似文献

In this paper two kinds of ionic liquids (ILs) were used for the construction of a myoglobin (Mb) electrochemical biosensor. Firstly a hydrophilic ionic liquid of 1‐ethyl‐3‐methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate (EMIMBF4) was used as binder to prepare a carbon ionic liquid electrode (CILE), then a Nafion and hydrophobic ionic liquid of 1‐butyl‐3‐methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate (BMIMPF6) composite film was applied on the surface of the CILE. The direct electrochemistry of Mb in the Nafion‐BMIMPF6/CILE was achieved with the cathodic and anodic peak potentials located at ?0.345 V and ?0.213 V (vs. SCE). The formal potential (E°′) was located at ?0.279 V, which was the characteristic of Mb FeIII/FeII redox couples. The electrochemical behaviors of Mb in the Nafion‐ionic liquid composite film modified CILE were carefully investigated. The Mb modified electrode showed good electrocatalytic behaviors to the reduction of trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and NaNO2. Based on the Nafion‐BMIMPF6/Mb/CILE, a new third generation reagentless biosensor was constructed.  相似文献

A new electrochemical biosensor was constructed by immobilization of hemoglobin (Hb) on a DNA modified carbon ionic liquid electrode (CILE), which was prepared by using 1‐ethyl‐3‐methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate (EMIMBF4) as the modifier. UV‐vis absorption spectroscopic result indicated that Hb remained its native conformation in the composite film. The fabricated Nafion/Hb/DNA/CILE was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and cyclic voltammetry (CV). A pair of well‐defined redox peaks was obtained on the modified electrode, indicated that the Nafion and DNA composite film provided an excellent biocompatible microenvironment for keeping the native structure of Hb and promoting the direct electron transfer rate of Hb with the basal electrode. The electrochemical parameters of Hb in the composite film were further calculated with the results of the charge transfer coefficient (α) and the apparent heterogeneous electron transfer rate constant (ks) as 0.41 and 0.31 s?1. The proposed electrochemical biosensor showed good electrocatalytic response to the reduction of trichloroacetic acid (TCA), H2O2, NO and the apparent Michaelis–Menten constant (KMapp) for the electrocatalytic reaction was calculated, respectively.  相似文献

Poly-N-acetylaniline (PNAANI) film, an analogous polymer of polyaniline, was electrodeposited on a glassy carbon (GC) electrode by an electro-dynamic scan method. Cyclic voltammetry was used to characterize the electrochemical response. The cyclic voltammograms of PNAANI films after its electro-hydrolysis and electro-chlorination were interpreted. The electrode processes are discussed and the electrochemical degradation mechanism of PNAANI film proposed based on the experimental results.  相似文献

A simple, highly sensitive and label‐free electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) immunosensor was developed using Nafion and gold nanoparticles (nano‐Au/Nafion) composites for the determination of 1‐pyrenebutyric acid (PBA). Under the optimal conditions, the amount of immobilized antibody was significantly improved on the nano‐Au/Nafion electrode due to the synergistic effect and biocompatibility of Nafion film and gold nanoparticles composites. The results showed that the sensitivity and stability of nano‐Au/Nafion composite electrode for PBA detection were much better than those of nano‐Au modified glassy carbon electrode (nano‐Au/GCE). The plot of increased electron transfer resistances (Rets) against the logarithm of PBA concentration is linear over the range from 0.1 to 150 ng·mL?1 with the detection limit of 0.03 ng·mL?1. The selectivity and accuracy of the proposed EIS immunosensor were evaluated with satisfactory results.  相似文献

A highly sensitive and stable amperometric tyrosinase biosensor has been developed based on multiwalled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) dispersed in mesoporous composite films of sol–gel‐derived titania and perfluorosulfonated ionomer (Nafion). Tyrosinase was immobilized within a thin film of MWCNT–titania–Nafion composite film coated on a glassy carbon electrode. Phenolic compounds were determined by the direct reduction of biocatalytically‐liberated quinone species at ?100 mV versus Ag/AgCl (3 M NaCl) without a mediator. The present tyrosinase biosensor showed good analytical performances in terms of response time, sensitivity, and stability compared to those obtained with other biosensors based on different sol–gel matrices. Due to the large pore size of the MWCNT–titania–Nafion composite, the present biosensor showed remarkably fast response time with less than 3 s. The present biosensor responds linearly to phenol from 1.0×10?7 M to 5.0×10?5 M with an excellent sensitivity of 417 mA/M and a detection limit of 9.5×10?8 M (S/N=3). The enzyme electrode retained 89% of its initial activity after 2 weeks of storage in 50 mM phosphate buffer at pH 7.0.  相似文献

A robust and effective composite film combined the benefits of Nafion, room temperature ionic liquid (RTIL) and multi‐wall carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) was prepared. Hemoglobin (Hb) was successfully immobilized on glassy carbon electrode surface by entrapping in the composite film. Direct electrochemistry and electrocatalysis of immobilized Hb were investigated in detail. A pair of well‐defined and quasi‐reversible redox peaks of Hb was obtained in 0.10 mol·L?1 pH 7.0 phosphate buffer solution (PBS), indicating that the Nafion‐RTIL‐MWNTs film showed an obvious promotion for the direct electron transfer between Hb and the underlying electrode. The immobilized Hb exhibited an excellent electrocatalytic activity towards the reduction of H2O2. The catalysis current was linear to H2O2 concentration in the range of 2.0×10?6 to 2.5×10?4 mol·L?1, with a detection limit of 8.0×10?7 mol·L?1 (S/N=3). The apparent Michaelis‐Menten constant (Kmapp) was calculated to be 0.34 mmol·L?1. Moreover, the modified electrode displayed a good stability and reproducibility. Based on the composite film, a third‐generation reagentless biosensor could be constructed for the determination of H2O2.  相似文献

Composite solution of sol–gel‐derived titania and perfluorosulfonated ionomer (Nafion) was used as a solubilizing agent for multiwalled carbon nanotubes (CNT) as well as an encapsulation matrix for alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) for the fabrication of a highly sensitive and stable amperometric ethanol biosensor. ADH was immobilized within a thin film of CNT–titania–Nafion composite film coated on a glassy carbon electrode. Because of the mesoporous nature of the CNT–titania–Nafion composite film, the present biosensor exhibited remarkably fast response time within 2 s. The presence of CNT in the composite film increases not only the sensitivity of the ethanol biosensor but also the long‐term stability of the biosensor. The present biosensor responds linearly to ethanol in the wide concentration ranges from 1.0×10?5 M to 3.0×10?3 M with the sensitivity of 51.6 mA M?1cm?2. The present biosensor showed good long‐term stability with 75% of its activity retained after 4 weeks of storage in 50 mM phosphate buffer at pH 7.0.  相似文献

A new electrochemiluminescence (ECL) sensing interface was established based on the zinc oxide nanorod in this paper. Firstly, the zinc oxide (ZnO) nanorod was prepared on an indium tin oxide (ITO) electrode surface by the method of constant current cathodic electrodeposition, on which the Nafion film was then modified, and finally ruthenium(II) tris(bipyridine) (Ru(bpy)32+) was immobilized at the ZnO nanorod/Nafion composite‐modified electrode. The sensing interface shows well ECL behaviors and perfect stability after being constant temperature treatment at 80 °C. The composite electrode was characterized by EIS, SEM and XRD. The results showed that the good stability maybe related to the water content of Nafion film.  相似文献

In this paper a room temperature ionic liquid 1‐butyl‐3‐methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate (BMIMPF6) was used as binder for the construction of carbon ionic liquid electrode (CILE) and a new electrochemical biosensor was developed for determination of H2O2 by immobilization of hemoglobin (Hb) in the composite film of Nafion/nano‐CaCO3 on the surface of CILE. The Hb modified electrode showed a pair of well‐defined, quasi‐reversible redox peaks with Epa and Epc as ?0.265 V and ?0.470 V (vs. SCE). The formal potential (E°′) was got by the midpoint of Epa and Epc as ?0.368 V, which was the characteristic of Hb Fe(III)/Fe(II) redox couples. The peak to peak separation was 205 mV in pH 7.0 Britton–Robinson (B–R) buffer solution at the scan rate of 100 mV/s. The direct electrochemistry of Hb in the film was carefully investigated and the electrochemical parameters of Hb on the modified electrode were calculated as α=0.487 and ks=0.128 s?1. The Nafion/nano‐CaCO3/Hb film electrode showed good electrocatalysis to the reduction of H2O2 in the linear range from 8.0 to 240.0 μmol/L and the detection limit as 5.0 μmol/L (3σ). The apparent Michaelis–Menten constant (KMapp) was estimated to be 65.7 μmol/L. UV‐vis absorption spectroscopy and FT‐IR spectroscopy showed that Hb in the Nafion/nano‐CaCO3 composite film could retain its native structure.  相似文献

The structures of Nafion membranes prepared by solutions casting from low aliphatic alcohols/water mixture solvents and N,N′‐dimethyl formamide (DMF) solvent were investigated using differential scanning calorimeter and small angle X‐ray scattering. The aggregation behavior of Nafion molecules in the casting solutions was also investigated using dynamic light scattering. We show that the morphology of membranes was strongly influenced by the conformations of Nafion molecules in the solutions. In aliphatic alcohol/water mixture solvents, which have a worse compatibility with Nafion backbones, the Nafion molecules aggregate and form fringed rod‐like structures. These primary rod‐like structures then aggregate again through fringed side chains to form secondary ionic aggregations. In DMF solvent, owing to its better compatibility with Nafion backbones, less Nafion molecules aggregate. The high degree of Nafion molecular aggregations in aliphatic alcohol/water mixture solvents leads to a high degree of hydrophobic and hydrophilic phase separation for membranes prepared by casting from Nafion/aliphatic alcohol/water solutions. However, the lower degree of molecular aggregations in DMF solvent results in a lower degree of hydrophobic and hydrophilic phase separation for membranes prepared by casting from Nafion/DMF solution. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. An effective electrochemiluminescence (ECL) sensor based on Nafion/poly(sodium 4-styrene sulfonate) (PSS) composite film-modified ITO electrode was developed. The Nafion/PSS/Ru composite film was characterized by atomic force microscopy, UV-vis absorbance spectroscopy and electrochemical experiments. The Nafion/PSS composite film could effectively immobilize tris(2,2′-bipyridyl)ruthenium(II) (Ru(bpy)32+) via ion-exchange and electrostatic interaction. The ECL behavior of Ru(bpy)32+ immobilized in Nafion/PSS composite film was investigated using tripropylamine (TPA) as an analyte. The detection limit (S/N = 3) for TPA at the Nafion/PSS/Ru composite-modified electrode was estimated to be 3.0 nM, which is 3 orders of magnitude lower than that obtained at the Nafion/Ru modified electrode. The Nafion/PSS/Ru composite film-modified indium tin oxide (ITO) electrode also exhibited good ECL stability. In addition, this kind of immobilization approach was simple, effective, and timesaving.  相似文献

Multiwall carbon nanotubes were dispersed in Nafion (MWCNTs‐NA) solution and used in combination with bismuth (MWCNTs‐NA/Bi) for fabricating composite sensors to determine trace Pb(II) and Cd(II) by differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry (DPASV). The electrochemical properties of the MWCNTs‐NA/Bi composites film modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE) were evaluated. The synergistic effect of MWCNTs and bismuth composite film was obtained for Pb(II) and Cd(II) detection with improved sensitivity and reproducibility. Linear calibration curves ranged from 0.05 to 100 μg/L for Pb(II) and 0.08 to 100 μg/L for Cd(II). The determination limits (S/N=3) were 25 ng/L for Pb and 40 ng/L for Cd, which compared favorably with previously reported methods in the area of electrochemical Pb(II) and Cd(II) detection. The MWCNTs‐NA/Bi composite film electrodes were successfully applied to determine Pb(II) and Cd(II) in real sample, and the results of the present method agreed well with those of atomic absorption spectroscopy.  相似文献

Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy is used to characterize thin p-doped polypyrrole (PPy) films in propylene carbonate (PC) solutions and poly(trifluorophenyl)thiophene (PTFPT), in solutions based on sulfolane (SF). It appears that the latter film is much less swelled compared to the former one. One consequence of this difference is that the PTFPT film shows a much higher bulk resistance compared to that for the PPy film. Another important consequence is that the swelling of the PTFPT film is essentially physically non-homogeneous. Two parallel, uncoupled paths, with different chemical diffusion coefficients, model the experimental results adequately. In order to quantify the impedance spectra for both polymer films, we use a model proposed by Rubinstein et al. explaining the difference in the diffusion coefficients of Ru(bpy)3+/2+ 3 within a thin Nafion film. The model can also predict the impedance spectra for composite powdery electrodes containing different particle sizes, such as composite cathodes and graphite anodes used in lithium batteries.  相似文献

Mesoporous films of platinized carbon nanotube–zirconia–Nafion composite have been used for the immobilization of tris(2,2′‐bipyridyl)ruthenium (II) (Ru(bpy)32+) on an electrode surface to yield a solid‐state electrogenerated chemiluminescence (ECL) sensor. The composite films of Pt–CNT–zirconia–Nafion exhibit much larger pore diameter (3.55 nm) than that of Nafion (2.82 nm) and thus leading to much larger ECL response for tripropylamine (TPA) because of the fast diffusion of the analyte within the films. Due to the conducting and electrocatalytic features of CNTs and Pt nanoparticles, their incorporation into the zirconia–Nafion composite films resulted in the decreased electron transfer resistance within the films. The present ECL sensor based on the Pt–CNT–zirconia–Nafion gave a linear response (R2=0.999) for TPA concentration from 3.0 nM to 1.0 mM with a remarkable detection limit (S/N=3) of 1.0 nM, which is much lower compared to those obtained with the ECL sensors based on other types of sol‐gel ceramic–Nafion composite films such as silica–Nafion and titania–Nafion.  相似文献

A novel N-substituted aniline, N-(4-sulfonicbutyryl)aniline was synthesized and subsequently to be electropolymerized to yield a new conductive polymer, poly(N-(4-sulfonicbutyryl)aniline). X-ray photoelectron spectrum (XPS) of the polymer film was examined to propose the polymer molecular structure. The sulfonated polyaniline was also characterized by 1H NMR, TGA, DTA, FTIR, and UV–vis spectra. The sulfonated polyaniline showed high conductivity in neutral aqueous solutions, which is two orders of magnitude higher than that of poly(N-acetylaniline) (PNAANI).  相似文献

Mesoporous V2O5/Nafion composite films have been used for the immobilization of tris(2,2′‐bipyridyl)ruthenium (II) (Ru(bpy) ) on an electrode surface to yield a solid‐state electrogenerated chemiluminescence (ECL) sensor. The electrochemical and ECL behavior of Ru(bpy) ion‐exchanged into the composite films has been characterized as a function of the amount of Nafion incorporated into the V2O5/Nafion composite. The composite film with 80% Nafion content has the largest pore diameter (4.19 nm) and yields the maximum ECL response for tripropylamine (TPA) because of the fast diffusion of analyte into the film with large pores. Due to the enlarged pore size and enhanced conductivity of the V2O5/Nafion composite, the present ECL sensor based on the composite films exhibited around 2 orders of magnitude higher ECL response and one order of magnitude lower detection limit for TPA (10 nM) compared to those obtained with the ECL sensors based on other types of sol–gel ceramic/Nafion composite films such as SiO2/Nafion and TiO2/Nafion.  相似文献

This work describes electrocatalytic detection of S(IV) compounds in water‐ethanol solutions under acidic conditions, on a glassy carbon electrode modified with Co(II) tetraruthenated porphyrin electrostatically assembled onto a Nafion film. The Ipc current shows a linear relationship with the concentration of S(IV) oxo‐anions. Controlled potential electrolysis shows that thiosulfate was detected as reaction product. Rotating disk electrode and UV‐visible spectroelectrochemistry experiments showed a kinetic limitation to the electron transfer controlled by charge propagation in the film and the formation of an intermediary between Co center and S(IV) species. The reproducibility of the modification methodology presents a RSD of 4.1%.  相似文献

The composite film based on Nafion and hydrophobic room-temperature ionic liquid (RTIL) 1-butyl-3-methyl-imidazolium hexafluorophosphate ([bmim] PF6) was explored. Here, Nafion was used as a binder to form Nafion-ionic liquids composite film and help [bmim] PF6 effectively adhered on glassy carbon (GC) electrode. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), cyclic voltammtery (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) were used to characterize this composite film, showing that the composite film can effectively adhere on the GC electrode surface through Nafion interacting with [bmim] PF6 and GC electrode. Meanwhile, doping [bmim] PF6 in Nafion can also effectively reduce the electron transfer resistance of Nafion. The composite film can be readily used as an immobilization matrix to entrap horseradish peroxidase (HRP). A pair of well-defined redox peaks of HRP was obtained at the HRP/Nafion-[bmim] PF6 composite film-modified GC electrode through direct electron transfer between the protein and the underlying electrode. HRP can still retain its biological activity and enhance electrochemical reduction towards O2 and H2O2. It is expected that this composite film may find more potential applications in biosensors and biocatalysis.  相似文献
