We have measured the photodissociation spectrum of CH(+) and CD(+) molecular ions, stored as fast (MeV) ion beams in the heavy-ion storage ring TSR. Several b (3)Sigma(-)-a (3)Pi bands were observed as strong resonances because a large fraction of the ions in the metastable a (3)Pi(v=0) state were pumped to b (3)Sigma(-) levels and predissociated via the c (3)Sigma(+) state into C(+) and H(D) fragments. From a rotational analysis of the 2-0, 3-0, and 4-0 bands in CH(+) and the 3-0 and 4-0 bands in CD(+), we derive spectroscopic constants for these levels and also revise a previous analysis of the 0-0 and 1-0 bands in CH(+). Combining all data delivers new, significantly adjusted equilibrium constants for the b (3)Sigma(-) and a (3)Pi electronic states. Apart from the spectroscopic analysis, we estimate the predissociation rates of the upper b (3)Sigma(-) vibrational levels in CH(+) and compare them to a model. For the initial rovibrational distribution of the stored metastable CH(+) molecules, the data indicate a faster vibrational cooling than derived before, and rotational cooling at a rate similar to the X (1)Sigma(+) ground state. New aspects of the spin-forbidden a (3)Pi-X (1)Sigma(+) radiative decay are discussed. Finally, we predict b (3)Sigma(-)-a (3)Pi absorption and a (3)Pi-X (1)Sigma(+) emission lines through which CH(+) in the metastable a (3)Pi(v=0) state might be detectable in astrophysical environments.  相似文献

The A(2)A(1)<--X(2)E(3/2) transition of CH(3)I(+) was investigated by photodissociation (PD) of the cation generated by one-photon mass-analyzed threshold ionization (MATI). Compared to the PD spectrum obtained by excitation of the cation in the main 0-0 band in the MATI spectrum, those obtained by excitation of the cations in the satellite structures showed substantially simplified rotational structures for nondegenerate vibronic bands. Spectral simplification occurred because each satellite consisted mostly of cations with one K quantum number. Spectroscopic constants in the ground vibronic state and in the 2(1)3(5), 2(1)3(8), 3(9), and 3(13) nondegenerate vibrational states in A(2)A(1) were determined via spectral fitting. Also, those in the 2(1)3(n)6(1) (n=1?) degenerate state, which had been reported previously, was improved. The K quantum number in each satellite determined by the present high resolution study was compatible with the prediction by the symmetry selection rule for photoionization. That is, the K quantum number of the ion core in high Rydberg states accessed by one-photon excitation was found to be conserved upon pulsed field ionization. This work demonstrates generation of mass-selected, vibronically selected, and K-selected ion beam by one-photon MATI.  相似文献

From a vibrationally corrected 3D potential energy surface determined with highly correlated ab initio calculations (CCSD(T)), the lowest vibrational energies of two dimethyl-ether isotopologues, (12)CH(3)-(16)O-(12)CD(3) (DME-d(3)) and (12)CD(3)-(16)O-(12)CD(3) (DME-d(6)), are computed variationally. The levels that can be populated at very low temperatures correspond to the COC-bending and the two methyl torsional modes. Molecular symmetry groups are used for the classification of levels and torsional splittings. DME-d(6) belongs to the G(36) group, as the most abundant isotopologue (12)CH(3)-(16)O-(12)CH(3) (DME-h(6)), while DME-d(3) is a G(18) species. Previous assignments of experimental Raman and far-infrared spectra are discussed from an effective Hamiltonian obtained after refining the ab initio parameters. Because a good agreement between calculated and experimental transition frequencies is reached, new assignments are proposed for various combination bands corresponding to the two deuterated isotopologues and for the 020 → 030 transition of DME-d(6). Vibrationally corrected potential energy barriers, structural parameters, and anharmonic spectroscopic parameters are provided. For the 3N - 9 neglected vibrational modes, harmonic and anharmonic fundamental frequencies are obtained using second-order perturbation theory by means of CCSD and MP2 force fields. Fermi resonances between the COC-bending and the torsional modes modify DME-d(3) intensities and the band positions of the torsional overtones.  相似文献

Conclusions A conformational equilibrium has been observed in (CH3)2CClNO, and it has been shown that the cisCl and trans conformers are present in solutions and in the gas phase, the more stable conformer being the cisCl. In n-C6H14, the energy difference amounts to 1.22 kcal/mole.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Seriya Khimicheskaya, No. 7, pp. 1538–1544, July, 1989.  相似文献

Infrared gas phase spectra of CH3GeH3 and CD3GeH3 have been investigated at a resolution of 0.06 cm−1 and Raman spectra obtained in the liquid phase at low resolution. Several reassignments of the fundamental frequencies are proposed. Q-branch maxima from the five naturally occurring Ge isotopes have been resolved in several of the fundamental vibrations and new values obtained of rotational and Coriolis coupling constants for ν7, ν8, ν10 and ν12 of CH3GeH3 and ν7, ν8, ν9, ν10 and ν12 of CD3GeH3. Germanium isotopic frequency shifts on νGeC are also reported.  相似文献

The i.r. spectra (20–3500 cm−1 of gaseous and solid (CH3)3SiN3, (CH3)3SiNCO and (CH3)3SiNCS have been recorded. The Raman spectra (25–3100 cm−1) of these three compounds in the gaseous (except (CH3)3SiNCS), liquid and solid states have also been recorded. A vibrational assignment is proposed for each molecule. The spectral data for the heavy atom vibrations are consistent with C3v symmetry for the isocyanate and the isothiocyanate and there is good evidence for lower symmetry for the azide. The SiNC bend was observed in the Raman spectrum of gaseous isocyanate at 37 cm−1 with the overtone centered at 84 cm−1. This same mode was observed in the Raman spectrum of the isothiocyanate in the liquid state at ∼45 cm−1. For the azide, this motion was observed in the Raman spectra of both the gaseous and liquid samples at 102 and 111 cm−1, respectively.  相似文献

A novel species, diaceto disulfide (CH3C(O)OSSOC(O)CH3), has been generated through the heterogeneous reaction between sulfur monochloride (S2Cl2) and silver acetate (AgOC(O)CH3). Photoelectron spectroscopy (PES) and theoretical calculations are performed to investigate its electronic and geometric structures. This molecule exhibits gauche conformation with both C=O groups syn to the S-O bond. The dihedral angle around the S-S bond is calculated to be -93.1 degrees at the B3LYP/6-311++G(3df,3pd) level. After structural optimizations of the most stable conformer, a theoretical study involving the calculation of the ionization energies using orbital valence Green's functional (OVGF) was performed. The ionization energies of different bands in the photoelectron spectrum are in good agreement with the calculated values from the OVGF method. The first vertical ionization energy of CH3C(O)OSSOC(O)CH3 is determined to be 9.83 eV by photoelectron spectroscopy, which corresponds to the ionization of an electron mainly localized on the sulfur 3p lone pair molecular orbital.  相似文献

The mechanism and kinetics for the reaction of propene(CH3CH=CH2) molecule with O(1D) atom were investigated theoretically. The electronic structure information of the potential energy surface(PES) was obtained at the B3LYP/6-311+G(d,p) level, and the single-point energies were refined by the multi-level MCG3-MPWB method. The calculated results show that O(1D) atom can attack CH3CH=CH2 via the barrierless insertion mechanism to form four energy-riched intermediates CH3C(OH)CH2(IM1), CH3CHCHOH(IM2), CH2OHCHCH2(IM3) and cyclo- CH2OCHCH3(IM4), respectively, on the singlet PES. The branching ratios as well as the pressure- and temperaturedependence of various product channels for this multi-well reaction were predicted by variational transition-state and Rice-Ramsperger-Kassel-Marcus(RRKM) theories. The present results will be useful to gain a deep insight into the reaction mechanism and kinetics of CH3CH=CH2+O(1D) reaction.  相似文献

Threshold photoelectron-photoion coincidence spectroscopy (TPEPICO) has been used to investigate the gas-phase ionic dissociation energies and thermochemistry of Me4Ge and Me3GeX, (Me = methyl; X = Cl, Br) molecules. The 0 K dissociation onsets for these species have been measured from the breakdown diagram and the ion time-of-flight distributions, which were modeled with the statistical RRKM theory and DFT calculations. The measured 0 K dissociative photoionization onsets were as follows: Me3Ge+ + Me (9.826 +/- 0.010 eV); Me3Ge+ + Cl (10.796 +/- 0.040 eV); Me3Ge+ + Br (10.250 +/- 0.011 eV); Me2GeCl+ + Me (10.402 +/- 0.010 eV); and Me2GeBr+ + Me (10.333 +/- 0.020 eV). These onsets were used to obtain new values for delta(f)H(degrees)298 (in kJ/mol) of the neutral molecules Me3GeCl (-239.8 +/- 5.7) and Me3GeBr (-196.5 +/- 4.3), and also for the following ionic species: Me3Ge+ (682.3 +/- 4.1), Me2GeCl+ (621.1 +/- 5.8), and Me2GeBr+ (657.8 +/- 4.7).  相似文献

The infrared and Raman spectra of gaseous and solid (CH3)3 GeNCO and solid (CH3)3GeNCS have been recorded over the frequency range 20–4000 cm?1 . The Raman spectra of the liquids have also been recorded. Assignments of the normal modes have been made on the bases of band types, Raman depolarization values, and characteristic frequencies. Spectral data indicate that (CH3)3 GeNCO is non-linear in all phases and that (CH3)3GeNCS has a linear or quasi-linear heavy atom skeleton in the fluid phases.  相似文献

The branching of the title reaction into several product channels has been investigated quantitatively by laser infrared kinetic spectroscopy for CH(4) and CD(4). It is found that OH (OD) is produced in 67 +/- 5% (60 +/- 5%) yield compared to the initial O((1)D) concentration. H (D) product is produced in 30 +/- 10%(35 +/- 10%). H(2)CO is produced in 5% yield in the CH(4) system (it was not possible to measure the CD(2)O yield in the CD(4) case). D(2)O is produced in 8% yield in the CD(4) system (it was not feasible to measure the H(2)O yield). The ratio of the overall rate constant of the CD(4) reaction to the overall rate constant of the O((1)D) + N(2)O reaction was determined to be 1.2(5) +/- 0.1. A measurement of the reaction of O((1)D) with NO(2) gave 1.3 x 10(-10) cm(3) molecule(-1) s(-1) relative to the literature values for the rate constants of O((1)D) with H(2) and CH(4). Hot atom effects in O((1)D) reactions were observed.  相似文献

The gas-phase free radical displacement reaction has been studied in the temperature range of 240–290°C and at 140°C with the thermal decomposition of azomethane (AM) and di-tert-butylperoxide (DTBP), respectively, as methyl radical sources. The reaction products of the CD3 radicals were analyzed by mass spectrometry. Assuming negligible isotope effects, Arrhenius parameters for the elementary radical addition reaction were derived: The data are discussed with respect to the back reaction and general features of elementary addition reactions.  相似文献

Using the complete active space self-consistent field (CASSCF) method with 6-311++g(3df,3pd) basis sets, a few electronic states of nitrenes (CH3)3CN and (CH3)2CHN and their positive ions are calculated. All calculated states are valence states, and their characteristics are discussed in detail. In order to investigate the Jahn-Teller effect on (CH3)3CN radical, Cs symmetry was used for (CH3)3CN and (CH3)2CHN in the calculations. The results of our calculations (CASPT2 adiabatic excitation energies and RASSI oscillator strengths) suggest that the calculated transitions of (CH3)3CN at 27,710 cm(-1) and (CH3)2CHN at 28,110 cm(-1) are attributed to 23A' --> 13A', while those of (CH3)3CN at 28,916 cm(-1) and (CH3)2CHN at 29,316 cm(-1) are attributed to 13A' --> 13A'. The vertical and adiabatic ionization energies were obtained to compare with the photoelectron spectroscopic data. These results are in agreement with previous experimental data. Also, we present a comprehensive review on the CAS calculation results for (CH3)nCH(3-n)N (n = 0-3) presented in our previous and present papers.  相似文献

Threshold photoelectron-photoion coincidence spectroscopy (TPEPICO) has been used to study the dissociation kinetics and thermochemistry of Me(4)Si, Me(6)Si(2), and Me(3)SiX, (X = Br, I) molecules. Accurate 0 K dissociative photoionization onsets for these species have been measured from the breakdown diagram and the ion time-of-flight distribution, both of them analyzed and simulated in terms of the statistical RRKM theory and DFT calculations. The average enthalpy of formation of trimethylsilyl ion, Delta fH(o)298K(Me(3)Si(+)) = 617.3 +/- 2.3 kJ/mol, has been determined from the measured onsets for methyl loss (10.243 +/- 0.010 eV) from Me(4)Si, and Br and I loss from Me(3)SiBr (10.624 +/- 0.010 eV) and Me(3)SiI (9.773 +/- 0.015 eV), respectively. The methyl loss onsets for the trimethyl halo silanes lead to Delta fH(o)298K(Me(2)SiBr(+)) = 590.3 +/- 4.4 kJ/mol and Delta fH(o)298K(Me(5)Si(2)(+)) = 487.6 +/- 6.2 kJ/mol. The dissociative photoionization of Me(3)SiSiMe(3) proceeds by a very slow Si-Si bond breaking step, whose rate constants were measured as a function of the ion internal energy. Extrapolation of this rate constant to the dissociation limit leads to the 0 K dissociation onset (9.670 +/- 0.030 eV). This onset, along with the previously determined trimethylsilyl ion energy, leads to an enthalpy of formation of the trimethylsilyl radical, Delta fH(o)298K(Me(3)Si(*)) = 14.0 +/- 6.6 kJ/mol. In combination with other experimental values, we propose a more accurate average value for Delta fH(o)298K(Me(3)Si(*)) of 14.8 +/- 2.0 kJ/mol. Finally, the bond dissociation enthalpies (DeltaH(298K)) Si-H, Si-C, Si-X (X=Cl, Br, I) and Si-Si are derived and discussed in this study.  相似文献

Ab initio density functional and molecular orbital calculations provide singlet and triplet electronic potential energy surfaces for the reactions of CF3CH2I+O(3P) leading to OI and HF eliminations, reactions which have been the subject of recent experimental studies. A barrier to OI formation occurs on the triplet potential energy surface; there is no reverse barrier to OI formation on the singlet pathway. Findings suggest that two competing pathways may form HF. One is an addition-insertion-elimination process involving insertion of O into the C-I bond. The alternate path involves OI elimination, addition of an O atom to CF3CH2, and subsequent HF elimination. The computed reactant pathways and energetics are discussed in relation to recent experiments.  相似文献

Methyl, methyl-d(3), and ethyl hydroperoxide anions (CH(3)OO(-), CD(3)OO(-), and CH(3)CH(2)OO(-)) have been prepared by deprotonation of their respective hydroperoxides in a stream of helium buffer gas. Photodetachment with 364 nm (3.408 eV) radiation was used to measure the adiabatic electron affinities: EA[CH(3)OO, X(2)A' '] = 1.161 +/- 0.005 eV, EA[CD(3)OO, X(2)A' '] = 1.154 +/- 0.004 eV, and EA[CH(3)CH(2)OO, X(2)A' '] = 1.186 +/- 0.004 eV. The photoelectron spectra yield values for the term energies: Delta E(X(2)A' '-A (2)A')[CH(3)OO] = 0.914 +/- 0.005 eV, Delta E(X(2)A' '-A (2)A')[CD(3)OO] = 0.913 +/- 0.004 eV, and Delta E(X(2)A' '-A (2)A')[CH(3)CH(2)OO] = 0.938 +/- 0.004 eV. A localized RO-O stretching mode was observed near 1100 cm(-1) for the ground state of all three radicals, and low-frequency R-O-O bending modes are also reported. Proton-transfer kinetics of the hydroperoxides have been measured in a tandem flowing afterglow-selected ion flow tube (FA-SIFT) to determine the gas-phase acidity of the parent hydroperoxides: Delta(acid)G(298)(CH(3)OOH) = 367.6 +/- 0.7 kcal mol(-1), Delta(acid)G(298)(CD(3)OOH) = 367.9 +/- 0.9 kcal mol(-1), and Delta(acid)G(298)(CH(3)CH(2)OOH) = 363.9 +/- 2.0 kcal mol(-1). From these acidities we have derived the enthalpies of deprotonation: Delta(acid)H(298)(CH(3)OOH) = 374.6 +/- 1.0 kcal mol(-1), Delta(acid)H(298)(CD(3)OOH) = 374.9 +/- 1.1 kcal mol(-1), and Delta(acid)H(298)(CH(3)CH(2)OOH) = 371.0 +/- 2.2 kcal mol(-1). Use of the negative-ion acidity/EA cycle provides the ROO-H bond enthalpies: DH(298)(CH(3)OO-H) = 87.8 +/- 1.0 kcal mol(-1), DH(298)(CD(3)OO-H) = 87.9 +/- 1.1 kcal mol(-1), and DH(298)(CH(3)CH(2)OO-H) = 84.8 +/- 2.2 kcal mol(-1). We review the thermochemistry of the peroxyl radicals, CH(3)OO and CH(3)CH(2)OO. Using experimental bond enthalpies, DH(298)(ROO-H), and CBS/APNO ab initio electronic structure calculations for the energies of the corresponding hydroperoxides, we derive the heats of formation of the peroxyl radicals. The "electron affinity/acidity/CBS" cycle yields Delta(f)H(298)[CH(3)OO] = 4.8 +/- 1.2 kcal mol(-1) and Delta(f)H(298)[CH(3)CH(2)OO] = -6.8 +/- 2.3 kcal mol(-1).  相似文献

The conformational stability and the three rotor internal rotations in 3-chloro- and 3-bromo-1-propanols were investigated by DFT-B3LYP/6-311+G and ab initio MP2/6-311+G, MP3/6-311+G and MP4(SDTQ)//MP3/6-311+G levels of theory. On the calculated potential energy surface twelve distinct minima were located all of which were not predicted to have imaginary frequencies at the B3LYP level of theory. The calculated lowest energy minimum in the potential curves of both molecules was predicted to correspond to the Gauche-gauche-trans (Ggt) conformer in excellent agreement with earlier microwave and electron diffraction results. The equilibrium constants for the conformational interconversion of the two 3-halo-1-propanols were calculated at the B3LYP/6-311+G level of calculation and found to correspond to an equilibrium mixture of about 32% Ggt, 18% Ggg1, 13% Tgt, 8% Tgg and 8% Gtt conformations for 3-chloro-1-propanol and 34% Ggt, 15% Tgt, 13% Ggg1, 9% Tgg and 7% Gtt conformations for 3-bromo-1-propanol at 298.15K. The nature of the high energy conformations was verified by carrying out solvent experiments using formamide ( epsilon=109.5) and MP3 and MP4//MP3 calculations. The vibrational frequencies of each molecule in its three most stable forms were computed at the B3LYP level and complete vibrational assignments were made based on normal coordinate calculations and comparison with experimental data of the molecules.  相似文献
