In an -permutation group , with a chain and its Dedekind completion, the coincidence of two stabilizer subgroups yields a map from to , and this map commutes with all the elements of G. Roughly speaking, a tying is such a map. We show that the permutations of which commute with the tyings are exactly those in the closure of G in the full automorphism group with respect to the coarse stabilizer topology. We term this closure the gate completion of G, written . We show that each o-primitive component of consists of those permutations of the closure of the corresponding G component which respect the orbits of the points which are "tied" to nonsingleton o-blocks. Finally, we show that any two representations of the same lattice-ordered group which are complete and without dead segments give rise to the same , and that in this case is the -completion of G. The concept of the orthogonality is important in the study of lattice-ordered groups. The purpose of this paper is to investigate a generalization of this concept to directed groups. The idea of an AO-group is introduced here. Some results are obtained concerning convex directed subgroups and Archimedean extensions of AO-groups. We prove that the intersection of all maximal special-valued subgroups of a lattice-ordered group is the special-valued quasi-torsion radical of a lattice-ordered group , which extends our earlier result that the intersection of all maximal finite-valued subgroups of a lattice-ordered group is the finite-valued torsion radical of . We also show that the class of almost finite-valued lattice-ordered groups is a quasi-torsion class, and the quasi-torsion radical of a group is equal to the intersection of the group with the lateral completion of the finite-valued torsion radical of the group.

An extension operator c in a category is an assignment, to each object A a monomorphism c A : AcA. Seeking to approximate such a c by a functor, in our earlier paper Maximum monoreflections, we showed that with some hypotheses on the category, and on c, there is a monoreflection (c) maximum beneath c. Thus, in a suitable category of rings, using the complete ring of quotients operator Q, each object A has a maximum functorial ring of quotients (Q)A. But the proof gave no hint of how to calculate the general (c)A's, nor the particular (Q)A's. In the present paper, we give an explicit formula (and separate proof of existence) for the (c)A's, under more complicated hypotheses on the category and assuming the c A 's are essential monomorphisms. We discuss briefly how the formula proves adequate to calculate the (Q)A's in Archimedean f-rings, and some related and necessary constructs in Archimedean l-groups.  相似文献

Orderable solvable groups in which every relatively convex subgroup is normal are studied. If such a class is subgroup closed than it is precisely the class of solvable orderable groups which are locally of finite (Mal’tsev) rank.
