对一类非线性时滞反应扩散方程的有限差分方程组建立了一类高阶单调迭代方法.这类方法给出了一个有效的线性迭代算法.迭代序列单调收敛于方程组的唯一解,并且序列的单调性使得每一步迭代都给出了解的改进的上下界.迭代收敛率具有p+2阶,这里p≥1是一个正整数,它依赖于迭代方法的构造.数值结果显示了方法的有效性.  相似文献

The present paper is concerned with the control of certain parabolic systems whose boundary conditions involve time delays. The optimal controls are characterized in terms of an adjoint system and shown to be unique and bang-bang. In this paper, we consider a class of optimal control problems involving a second-order, linear parabolic partial differential equation with Neumann boundary conditions. The time-delayed arguments are assumed to appear in the boundary conditions. A necessary and sufficient condition for optimality is derived, and an iterative method for solving this optimal control problem is proposed. The convergence property of this iterative method is also investigated.On the basis of a finite-element Galerkin's scheme, we convert the original distributed optimal control problem into a sequence of approximate problems involving only lumped-parameter systems. A computational algorithm is then developed for each of these approximate problems. For illustration, a one-dimensional example is solved.  相似文献

We consider elliptic operators with operator-valued coefficients and discuss the associated parabolic problems. The unknowns are functions with values in a Hilbert space W. The system is equipped with a general class of coupled boundary conditions of the form f|∂ΩY and , where Y is a closed subspace of L2(∂Ω;W). We discuss well-posedness and further qualitative properties, systematically reducing features of the parabolic system to operator-theoretical properties of the orthogonal projection onto Y.  相似文献

Certain biochemical reaction can be modeled by a coupled system of time-delayed ordinary differential equations and linear parabolic partial differential equations. In a three-compartment model these equations are coupled through the boundary conditions. The aim of this paper is to give a qualitive analysis of this unusual coupled system. The analysis includes the existence and uniqueness of a global solution, explicit upper and lower bounds of the solution, and global stability of a steady-state solution. The global stability result is with respect to any nonnegative initial perturbation and is independent of the time delays in the process of reaction. Special attention is given to the Goodwin model for biochemical control of genes by a negative feedback mechanism with time delay and diffusion.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with coupled boundary value problems for self-adjoint second-order difference equations. Existence of eigenvalues is proved, numbers of eigenvalues are calculated, and relationships between the eigenvalues of a self-adjoint second-order difference equation with three different coupled boundary conditions are established. This article is concerned with numerical solutions of finite difference systems of reaction diffusion equations with nonlinear internal and boundary reaction functions. The nonlinear reaction functions are of general form and the finite difference systems are for both time-dependent and steady-state problems. For each problem a unified system of nonlinear equations is treated by the method of upper and lower solutions and its associated monotone iterations. This method leads to a monotone iterative scheme for the computation of numerical solutions as well as an existence-comparison theorem for the corresponding finite difference system. Special attention is given to the dynamical property of the time-dependent solution in relation to the steady-state solutions. Application is given to a heat-conduction problem where a nonlinear radiation boundary condition obeying the Boltzmann law of cooling is considered. This application demonstrates a bifurcation property of two steady-state solutions, and determines the dynamic behavior of the time-dependent solution. Numerical results for the heat-conduction problem, including a test problem with known analytical solution, are presented to illustrate the various theoretical conclusions. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with three 3-species time-delayed Lotka-Volterra reaction-diffusion systems and their corresponding ordinary differential systems without diffusion. The time delays may be discrete or continuous, and the boundary conditions for the reaction-diffusion systems are of Neumann type. The goal of the paper is to obtain some simple and easily verifiable conditions for the existence and global asymptotic stability of a positive steady-state solution for each of the three model problems. These conditions involve only the reaction rate constants and are independent of the diffusion effect and time delays. The result of global asymptotic stability implies that each of the three model systems coexists, is permanent, and the trivial and all semitrivial solutions are unstable. Our approach to the problem is based on the method of upper and lower solutions for a more general reaction-diffusion system which gives a common framework for the 3-species model problems. Some global stability results for the 2-species competition and prey-predator reaction-diffusion systems are included in the discussion.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to investigate the asymptotic behavior of solutions for a class of three-species predator-prey reaction-diffusion systems with time delays under homogeneous Neumann boundary condition. Some simple and easily verifiable conditions are given to the rate constants of the reaction functions to ensure the convergence of the time-dependent solution to a constant steady-state solution. The conditions for the convergence are independent of diffusion coefficients and time delays, and the conclusions are directly applicable to the corresponding parabolic-ordinary differential system and to the corresponding system without time delays.  相似文献

We study the blow-up behavior for a semilinear reaction-diffusion system coupled in both equations and boundary conditions. The main purpose is to understand how the reaction terms and the absorption terms affect the blow-up properties. We obtain a necessary and sufficient condition for blow-up, derive the upper bound and lower bound for the blow-up rate, and find the blow-up set under certain assumptions.  相似文献

We consider a simple reaction-diffusion system exhibiting Turing’s diffusion driven instability if supplemented with classical homogeneous mixed boundary conditions. We consider the case when the Neumann boundary condition is replaced by a unilateral condition of Signorini type on a part of the boundary and show the existence and location of bifurcation of stationary spatially non-homogeneous solutions. The nonsymmetric problem is reformulated as a single variational inequality with a potential operator, and a variational approach is used in a certain non-direct way.  相似文献

This paper deals with the existence of travelling wave fronts in reaction-diffusion systems with spatio-temporal delays. Our approach is to use monotone iterations and a nonstandard ordering for the set of profiles of the corresponding wave system. New iterative techniques are established for a class of integral operators when the reaction term satisfies different monotonicity conditions. Following this, the existence of travelling wave fronts for reaction-diffusion systems with spatio-temporal delays is established. Finally, we apply the main results to a single-species diffusive model with spatio-temporal delay and obtain some existence criteria of travelling wave fronts by choosing different kernels.  相似文献

Using the theory of fixed point index, we discuss the existence and multiplicity of nonnegative solutions of a wide class of boundary value problems with coupled nonlinear boundary conditions.
