Under fairly weak assumptions, the solutions of the system of Volterra equations x(t) = ∝0ta(t, s) x(s) ds + f(t), t > 0, can be written in the form x(t) = f(t) + ∝0tr(t, s) f(s) ds, t > 0, where r is the resolvent of a, i.e., the solution of the equation r(t, s) = a(t, s) + ∝0ta(t, v) r(v, s)dv, 0 < s < t. Conditions on a are given which imply that the resolvent operator f0tr(t, s) f(s) ds maps a weighted L1 space continuously into another weighted L1 space, and a weighted L space into another weighted L space. Our main theorem is used to study the asymptotic behavior of two differential delay equations.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove the following result: Let f(z) and g(z) be two nonconstant meromorphic(entire) functions, n ≥ 11(n ≥ 6) a positive integer. In this paper we will give necessary and sufficient conditions under which a map is a contraction on a certain subset of a normed linear space. These conditions are already well known for maps on intervals in R. Using the conditions and Banach’s fixed point theorem we can prove a fixed point theorem for operators on a normed linear space. The fixed point theorem will be applied to the matrix equation X = In + Af(X)A, where f is a map on the set of positive definite matrices induced by a real valued map on (0, ∞). This will give conditions on A and f under which the equation has a unique solution in a certain set. We will consider two examples of f in detail. In one example the application of the fixed point theorem is the first step in proving that the equation has a unique positive definite solution under the conditions on A.  相似文献

A Hilbert space operator A ∈ B(H) is said to be p-quasi-hyponormal for some 0 < p ? 1, A ∈ p − QH, if A(∣A2p − ∣A2p)A ? 0. If H is infinite dimensional, then operators A ∈ p − QH are not supercyclic. Restricting ourselves to those A ∈ p − QH for which A−1(0) ⊆ A∗-1(0), A ∈ p − QH, a necessary and sufficient condition for the adjoint of a pure p − QH operator to be supercyclic is proved. Operators in p − QH satisfy Bishop’s property (β). Each A ∈ p − QH has the finite ascent property and the quasi-nilpotent part H0(A − λI) of A equals (A − λI)-1(0) for all complex numbers λ; hence f(A) satisfies Weyl’s theorem, and f(A) satisfies a-Weyl’s theorem, for all non-constant functions f which are analytic on a neighborhood of σ(A). It is proved that a Putnam-Fuglede type commutativity theorem holds for operators in p − QH.  相似文献

Let f : X → X be a continuous map of a compact metric space X. The map f induces in a natural way a map fM on the space M(X) of probability measures on X, and a transformation fK on the space K(X) of closed subsets of X. In this paper, we show that if (Xf) is a chain transitive system with shadowing property, then exactly one of the following two statements holds:
(a)
fn and (fK)n are syndetically sensitive for all n ? 1.
(b)
fn and (fK)n are equicontinuous for all n ? 1.
In particular, we show that for a continuous map f : X → X of a compact metric space X with infinite elements, if f is a chain transitive map with the shadowing property, then fn and (fK)n are syndetically sensitive for all n ? 1. Also, we show that if fM (resp. fK) is chain transitive and syndetically sensitive, and fM (resp. fK) has the shadowing property, then f is sensitive.In addition, we introduce the notion of ergodical sensitivity and present a sufficient condition for a chain transitive system (Xf) (resp. (M(X), fM)) to be ergodically sensitive. As an application, we show that for a L-hyperbolic homeomorphism f of a compact metric space X, if f has the AASP, then fn is syndetically sensitive and multi-sensitive for all n ? 1.  相似文献

Let E and F be Banach spaces, f: UEF be a map of C r (r ⩾ 1), x 0U, and ft (x 0) denote the FréLechet differential of f at x 0. Suppose that f′(x 0) is double split, Rank(f′(x 0)) = ∞, dimN(f′(x 0)) > 0 and codimR(f′(x 0)) s> 0. The rank theorem in advanced calculus asks to answer what properties of f ensure that f(x) is conjugate to f′(x 0) near x 0. We have proved that the conclusion of the theorem is equivalent to one kind of singularities for bounded linear operators, i.e., x 0 is a locally fine point for f′(x) or generalized regular point of f(x); so, a complete rank theorem in advanced calculus is established, i.e., a sufficient and necessary condition such that the conclusion of the theorem to be held is given.   相似文献

Given a continuous function f:Sm+n−2Rm, and n points u1,u2,…,unSm+n−2; does there exist a rotation rSO(m+n−1) such that f(ru1)=f(ru2)=?=f(run)? In this paper, we study the property of a continuous map from a sphere to a Euclidean space by using the theory of Smith periodic transformation and Brouwer degree of map theorem. The conjecture is proved under the case of n=2 and m being even. Furthermore, this conjecture is proved for the case when ujuj+1=λ and the dimension of the sphere is not less than m+n−2. This paper generalizes the Borsuk-Ulam theorem and then presents its application.  相似文献

The two dimensional diffusion equation of the form is considered in this paper. We try a bi-cubic spline function of the form as its solution. The initial coefficients Ci,j(0) are computed simply by applying a collocation method; Ci,j = f(xiyj) where f(xy) = u(xy, 0) is the given initial condition. Then the coefficients Ci,j(t) are computed by X(t) = etQX(0) where X(t) = (C0,1C0,1C0,2, … , C0,NC1,0, … , CN,N) is a one dimensional array and the square matrix Q is derived from applying the Galerkin’s method to the diffusion equation. Note that this expression provides a solution that is not necessarily separable in space coordinates x, y. The results of sample calculations for a few example problems along with the calculation results of approximation errors for a problem with known analytical solution are included.  相似文献

This article presents a semigroup approach to the mathematical analysis of the inverse parameter problems of identifying the unknown parameters p(t) and q in the linear parabolic equation ut(xt)  = uxx + qux(xt) + p(t)u(xt), with Dirichlet boundary conditions u(0, t) = ψ0, u(1, t) = ψ1. The main purpose of this paper is to investigate the distinguishability of the input-output mapping Φ[·]:PH1,2[0,T], via semigroup theory. In this paper, it is shown that if the nullspace of the semigroup T(t) consists of only zero function, then the input-output mapping Φ[·] has the distinguishability property. It is also shown that the types of the boundary conditions and the region on which the problem is defined play an important role in the distinguishability property of the mapping. Moreover, under the light of the measured output data ux(0, t) = f(t) the unknown parameter p(t) at (xt) = (0, 0) and the unknown coefficient q are determined via the input data. Furthermore, it is shown that measured output data f(t) can be determined analytically by an integral representation. Hence the input-output mapping Φ[·]:PH1,2[0,T] is given explicitly interms of the semigroup.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the problem of finding u = u(xyt) and p = p(t) which satisfy ut = uxx + uyy + p(t)u + ? in R × [0, T], u(xy, 0) = f(xy), (xy) ∈ R = [0, 1] × [0, 1], u is known on the boundary of R and u(xyt) = E(t), 0 < t ? T, where E(t) is known and (xy) is a given point of R. Through a function transformation, the nonlinear two-dimensional diffusion problem is transformed into a linear problem, and a backward Euler scheme is constructed. It is proved by the maximum principle that the scheme is uniquely solvable, unconditionally stable and convergent in L norm. The convergence orders of u and p are of O(τ + h2). The impact of initial data errors on the numerical solution is also considered. Numerical experiments are presented to illustrate the validity of the theoretical results.  相似文献

In this paper, existence and attractiveness of solutions for quadratic Urysohn fractional integral equations on an unbounded interval are obtained by virtue of Tichonov fixed point theorem and suitable conjunction of the well known measure ω0(X) and the spaces C(R+). Further, three certain solutions sets XL,γ, X1,α and X1,(1−(α+v)), which tending to zero at an appropriate rate tν (ν > 0), ν = γ (or α or 1 − (α + v)) as t → ∞, are introduced and stability of solutions for quadratic Urysohn fractional integral equations are obtained based on these solutions sets respectively by applying Schauder fixed point theorem via some easy checked conditions. In this paper we introduce a generalized vector-valued paranormed sequence space Np(Ekm,f,s) using modulus function f, where p=(pk) is a bounded sequence of positive real numbers such that infkpk>0,(Ek,qk) is a sequence of seminormed spaces with Ek+1Ek for each kN and s?0. We have also studied sequence space Np(Ekm,fr,s), where fr=f°f°f°,…,f (r-times composition of f with itself) and rN={1,2,3,…}. Results regarding completeness, K-space, normality, inclusion relations etc. are derived. In this paper, we obtain a version of subordination lemma for hyperbolic disk relative to hyperbolic geometry on the unit disk D. This subordination lemma yields the distortion theorem for Bloch mappings f ∈ H(B^n) satisfying ||f||0 = 1 and det f'(0) = α ∈ (0, 1], where||f||0 = sup{(1 - |z|^2 )n+1/2n det(f'(z))[1/n : z ∈ B^n}. Here we establish the distortion theorem from a unified perspective and generalize some known results. This distortion theorem enables us to obtain a lower bound for the radius of the largest univalent ball in the image of f centered at f(0). When a = 1, the lower bound reduces to that of Bloch constant found by Liu. When n = 1, our distortion theorem coincides with that of Bonk, Minda and Yanagihara.  相似文献

We consider an unknown response function f defined on Δ = [0, 1] d , 1 ≤ d ≤ ∞, taken at n random uniform design points and observed with Gaussian noise of known variance. Given a positive sequence r n → 0 as n → ∞ and a known function f 0L 2(Δ), we propose, under general conditions, a unified framework for goodness-of-fit testing the null hypothesis H 0: f = f 0 against the alternative H 1: f ∈ $ \mathcal{F} $ \mathcal{F} , ∥ff 0∥ ≥ r n , where $ \mathcal{F} $ \mathcal{F} is an ellipsoid in the Hilbert space L 2(Δ) with respect to the tensor product Fourier basis and ∥ · ∥ is the norm in L 2(Δ). We obtain both rate and sharp asymptotics for the error probabilities in the minimax setup. The derived tests are inherently non-adaptive. Several illustrative examples are presented. In particular, we consider functions belonging to ellipsoids arising from the well-known multidimensional Sobolev and tensor product Sobolev norms as well as from the less-known Sloan-Woźniakowski norm and a norm constructed from multivariable analytic functions on the complex strip.  相似文献
