Density functional theory calculations for the structure and conformational equilibrium of thiacalix[4]arene are reported. The conformational equilibrium of thiacalix[4]arene, a heterocalixarene in which the phenol groups are bridged by sulphur atoms is compared to the conformational equilibrium of calix[4]arene. Thiacalix[4]arene conformational energies relative to the cone conformer (ΔE's) are reduced in comparison with calix[4]arene. This conformational change is in qualitative agreement with recent NMR spectroscopy measurements of the conformational equilibrium for a tetraethylether of thiacalix[4]arene in a CDCl3 solution which indicates an enhanced chemical exchange of thiacalixarene conformers in comparison with similar methylene bridged structures. Density functional theory results for the structure of thiacalix[4]arene are in good agreement with recent X-ray diffraction measurements. The electrostatic potentials in the cone conformers of thiacalix[4]arene and calix[4]arene suggest that their complexation or recognition abilities can be significantly different. Dipole moments of the four thiacalix[4]arene conformers are in the order: cone>1,2-alternate>partial-cone>1,3-alternate.  相似文献

A novel thiacalix[4]arene ditopic receptor with 1,3-alternate conformation and possessing two complexation sites for hard and soft cations, 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,27-bis[(N,N-diethylaminocarbonyl)methoxy]-26,28-bis[(pyridylmethyl)oxy]-2,8,14,20-tetrathiacalix[4]arene is prepared. Regioselective synthesis of distal-bis[(N,N-diethylaminocarbonyl)methoxy]thiacalix[4]arene is accomplished by a protection-deprotection method using benzyl groups as a protecting group. The deprotection of benzyl group was succeeded in the presence of solid superacid (Nafion-H) under refluxing benzene. Its complexation behavior is examined by 1H-NMR titration experiments. The formation of 1:2 homo- and heteronuclear complexes demonstrates that the preorganization, subtle conformational changes and affinity have a pronounced effect on the complexation of the receptor.  相似文献

A simple method for thiacalix[4]arene O-monoamide preparation with high yields using 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-28-(ethoxycarbonyl)methoxy-2,8,14,20-tetrathiacalix[4]arene reaction with diaminoalkanes is reported. The solid state cyclization reaction of the acylethylenediamines function of 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-28-O-[(N-(2-aminoethyl)aminocarbonyl)-methoxy]thiacalix[4]arene leading to the formation of the 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-28-[2-methoxy-imdazoline]thiacalix[4]arene compound is described for the first time for the calixarene macrocycle family. Finally, preliminary results show that O-mono-amide-thiacalixarene derivatives are promising candidates for the production of self-assembled materials and efficient precursors for the synthesis of bisthiacalix[4] arenes.  相似文献

A novel ditopic receptor possessing two complexation sites and bearing 1,3-alternate conformation based on thiacalix[4]arene was prepared. The binding behaviors with alkali metals and silver ion have been examined by 1H NMR titration experiment. Although the formation of the heterogeneous dinuclear complexes was not observed, the exclusive formation of mononuclear complexes of 1,3-alternate-3 with metal cations is of particular interest in negative allosteric effect in the thiacalix[4]arene family. These findings demonstrate that preorganization, subtle conformational changes and affinity have a pronounced effect on the complexation process between the two different arms placed at the two edges of the thiacalix[4]arene cavity.  相似文献

As bifunctional reagents, bis(tosyloxyethoxy)benzenes can react with p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene or p-tert-butylthiacalix[4]arene to afford intramolecularly bridged (1+1) or intermolecularly bridged (2+2) products. It was found that the bridging pattern strongly depended on the structure of bis(tosyloxyethoxy)benzene and the kind of calixarene. For the ortho-isomer of bis(tosyloxyethoxy)benzene, intramolecularly bridged calix[4]arene and thiacalix[4]arene were the main products. For the para-isomer, the bridging reaction was in a (2+2) fashion. As for the meta-isomer, double thiacalix[4]arene and intramolecularly bridged calix[4]crown were synthesized.  相似文献

The possibility of designing a model of sensor to antioxidants based on thiacalix[4]arene monolayers with immobilized cytochrome c was shown. The molecular surface area S 0 of thiacalix[4]arene in the monolayers and the surface pressure coefficient ?dπ/dS (elasticity) reflect changes in the redox state of cytochrome c in the presence of dihydroquercetin and ascorbic acid in the aqueous subphase. The absorption spectra in the visible and UV ranges of solutions of the subphase and transferred thiacalix[4]arene monolayers with immobilized cytochrome c confirm the oxidation of the antioxidants to quinones and formation of the reduced form of cytochrome c.  相似文献

Thiacalix[4]arenes possessing carboxylic groups were used for the design of potential dendritic cores with amino surface groups. The known tetraacetic acid in the 1,3-alternate conformation gave the desired product in very low yield because of steric hindrance on thiacalix[4]arene moiety. Therefore, synthetic strategy based on withdrawing of the carboxyl groups via benzylic spacer from the thiacalix[4]arene moiety was successfully applied for the realization of novel thiacalix[4]arenes bearing two or four protected lysine units.  相似文献

Direct O-alkylation of p-tert-butyltetrathiacalix[4]arene with N,N-diethylchloroacetamide afforded two conformational isomers (1,3-alternate and cone) of tetrakis[(N,N-diethylaminocarbonyl)methoxy]thiacalix[4]arene and 1,3-disubstituted bis[(N,N-diethylaminocarbonyl)methoxy]thiacalix[4]arene, depending on the base used. The complaxation behaviors of the tetrakis isomers were assessed by 1H NMR titration experiments. Evidence of 1:2 (homo- and hetero-dinuclear) complexes formation of 1,3-alternate-tetrakis[(N,N-diethylaminocarbonyl)methoxy]thiacalix[4]arene with alkali (K+ and Na+) or transition (Ag+) metal ions was obtained. Interestingly, it was found that the cone-tetrakis[(N,N-diethylaminocarbonyl)methoxy]thiacalix[4]arene required a prior Ag+ complexation to form 1:2 heterodinuclear complex. The regioselective nitration of 25,27-dipropoxythiacalix[4]arene was carried out as a key step in the synthesis of thiacalix[4]arene derivative bearing two arylureido functions on the upper rim. The preorganisation of ureido units using the thiacalix[4]arene/calix[4]arene moieties as a molecular scaffold gave novel anion receptors. These compounds, albeit based on hydrogen bonding interactions, show good complexation ability even in highly HB-competitive solvent, such as DMSO. Direct comparison of otherwise identical structures 6a and 7a revealed remarkable dominance of the thiacalix[4]arene derivative over its classical analogue in anion binding.  相似文献

The structure and complexation behaviour of 1,3-alternate-1,2,3-triazole based on thiacalix[4]arene,1,3-alternate-1 and 2 have been determined by means of X-ray analysis, fluorescence and 1H NMR spectroscopy. The X-ray results suggested that the nitrogen atom N3 on triazole ring can act as hydrogen bond acceptors in the self-assembly of a supramolecular structure. The fluorescence spectra changes indicated that the thiacalix[4]arene bearing 1,2,3-triazole groups were highly selective for Ag+ in comparison with other tested metal ions by enhancement of the monomer emission of pyrene. The 1H NMR results suggested that Ag+ can be strongly bonded by the triazole groups with the cooperation of the ionophoric cavity formed by the two inverted benzene rings and the sulfur atoms of the thiacalix[4]arene.  相似文献

Synergistic extraction of long-lived fission products 137Cs+, 85Sr2+, and 152Eu3+ from dilute HNO3 into dichloroethane with ligands derived from p-(1-adamantyl)thiacalix[4]arene in mixtures with chlorinated cobalt dicarbollide was studied. An extraordinary synergistic effect is observed in extraction of europium with p-(1-adamantyl)thiacalix[4]arene tetraacetate derivative. Amides of p-(1-adamantyl)thiacalix-[4]arene tetracarboxylic acid are selective toward europium, although their extraction ability toward the examined ions is lower than that of the classical extractant, p-(1-adamantyl)calix[4]arene tetracarboxylic acid diethylamide.  相似文献

Novel ditopic receptors of tetraamide derivatives possessing four 2-pyridyl groups derived from thiacalix[4]arene in cone- and 1,3-alternate conformation were prepared. The structure of one of the tetraamide derivatives was confirmed by a single crystal X-ray analysis. The tetrathiacalix[4]arene tetraamides show strong intramolecular hydrogen bonding. By reacting thiacalix[4]arene with p-tosyloxyethoxylbenzaldehyde 1, 3-bis(benzaldehyde-4-oxyethyloxy)-p-tert-butylthiacalix[4]arene (2) were prepared in yield of 65%. Refluxing compound 2 with aniline, salicylic hydrazide, nicotinic hydrazide and isonicotinic hydrazide, novel ringopening 1,3-bis-arylformyl-hydrazone substituted thiacalix[4]arene derivatives (3a3d) were obtained in yields of 77–89%. Refluxing compound 2 with o-phenylendiamine, oxalyl dihydrazide, malonic dihydrazide and adipic dihydrazide in “1 + 1” intermolecular condensation mode under diluted condition, novel 1,3-bis-acyl hydrazone-bridged calix[4]arene derivatives (4a4d) were prepared in good yields. Moreover, by condensating compound 2 with 1,3-bis(hydrazinocarbonyl-methoxy)-p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene (5), the first example of hydrazone-bridged biscalixarene (6) with calix[4]arene and thiacalix[4]arene subunits was facilely synthesized in yield of 90%. The noncompetitive and competitive extracting experiments showed that these novel hosts were good receptors for both metal cations and α-amino acids. Compounds 3a–3d and 4a–4d showed similar binding properties with high extraction percentage but low extracting selectivities. Biscalixarene 6 exhibited not only high extracting abilities but also good extracting selectivities.  相似文献

The first comparative theoretical study of three parent calix[4]arene analogues (calix[4]arene, thiacalix[4]arene, and homooxacalix[4]arene) has been performed using molecular dynamic simulations and density functional theory (MPWB1K/6-311G∗∗//B3LYP/6-311G∗∗) methods. The theoretical observations herein including optimized geometry, polarity, and atomic charge data provide that homooxacalix[4]arene would offer more efficient platform for metal ion recognition compared to thiacalix[4]arene or calix[4]arene.  相似文献

Three new thiacalix[4]arene derivatives, 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,27-di(2-hydroxyethoxy)-26,28-dihydroxythiacalix-{}[4]arene (2), 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-25, 26,27,28-tetrakis[(methylcarboxyl)methoxy]thiacalix[4]arene (3),5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,26,27,28-tetrakis(2-hydroxy-1-propanoxy)thiacalix[4]arene (4), were synthesized for the first time. The coordination properties of thiacalix[4]arene(1) and its derivatives (2 and 4) were investigated by detecting the interactions betweenthese compounds and two palladium complexes, cis-[Pd(en)(H2O)2]2+ and cis-[Pd(dtco-3-OH)(H2O)2]2+, by means of electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) technique.  相似文献

Novel self-assembled supramolecular networks were prepared by the interactions of thiacalix[4]arenes bearing simple alkyl groups on the lower rim (4×MeO-, 4×n-PrO-) with silver triflate. Contrary to the classical calix[4]arenes (with CH2 bridges between the aromatic moieties), the presence of four sulfur atoms enables the formation of S-Ag-S connections between the individual molecules leading to the coordination topology so far unknown in calixarene chemistry. These systems form infinite 1-D coordination polymeric structures in the solid state, where the thiacalixarene moieties are preorganized in a side-by-side arrangement. Interestingly, the linear coordination polymers were obtained using both the conformational immobilised (4×n-PrO, cone, 1,3-alternate conformers) and the conformational mobile (4×MeO) thiacalix[4]arenes, which indicates the generality of this behaviour in thiacalixarene series.  相似文献

New chromogenic supramolecular vanadophiles were designed and synthesized by incorporating hydroxamic acid chains on a 1,3-alternate thiacalix[4]arene scaffold and were found to show high affinity toward vanadate ions. The article describes a comprehensive design process to devise a tailor-made co-ordination cavity for vanadate ions by pre-organization of hydroxamic acid chelating moieties on a 1,3-alternate thiacalix[4]arene scaffold. These receptors simultaneously co-ordinate two vanadate ions giving a highly ‘staggered’ geometry with almost D2d symmetry. Proposed structures and complexation behavior of the receptors were explained by critical examination of FTIR, UV-visible, mass, and 1H NMR data.  相似文献

The possibility of using three derivatives of p-R-thiacalix[4]arene: tetraethyl ester of p-(1-adamantyl)thiacalix[4]arene acid (I) and asymmetric p-tert-buthylcalix[4]-p-R-thiacalix[4]arene “molecular tubes” [R = tert-Bu(II), 1-adamantyl(III)] as ionophores in PVC-membrane ISEs for the determination of Na+, K+ and Rb+ ions was studied. It was found that an electrode based on thiacalix[4]arene (I) exhibited high selectivity toward Na+ ions, and electrodes with (II) and (III) demonstrated a good potentiometric response of the Rb+ ion; Rb+ can be determined in the presence of excess amounts Na+ and K+.  相似文献

Aminobismethylenephosphonic acids on a platform of p-tert-butylthiacalix[4]arene were obtained by reacting macrocyclic amines with phosphorous acid and formaldehyde under acid catalysis. Free phenol hydroxy groups on the lower rim of p-tert-butylthiacalix[4]arene were found to inhibit the interaction with the amino moieties of the macrocycle. In the case of amino derivatives of thiacalix[4]arene containing no hydroxy groups the reaction led to the formation of target compounds in good yields.  相似文献
