To solve nonlinear system of equation,F(x) = 0,a continuous Newton flow x_t(t) = V(x) =-(DF(x))~(-1)F(x),x(0) =x~0 and its mathematical properties,such as the central field,global existence and uniqueness of real roots and the structure of the singular surface,are studied.We concisely introduce random Newton flow algorithm(NFA) for finding all roots,based on discrete Newton flow x~(j+1)=x~j+hV{x~j) with random initial value x~0 and h∈(0,1],and three computable quantities,g_j,d_j and K_j.The numerical experiments with dimension n=300 are provided.  相似文献

We introduce a new algorithm, namely two-step relaxation Newton, for solving algebraic nonlinear equations f(x)=0. This new algorithm is derived by combining two different relaxation Newton algorithms introduced by Wu et al. (Appl. Math. Comput. 201:553–560, 2008), and therefore with special choice of the so called splitting function it can be implemented simultaneously, stably with much less memory storage and CPU time compared with the Newton–Raphson method. Global convergence of this algorithm is established and numerical experiments show that this new algorithm is feasible and effective, and outperforms the original relaxation Newton algorithm and the Newton–Raphson method in the sense of iteration number and CPU time.  相似文献

We consider the Cauchy problem for the system of semilinear damped wave equations with small initial data:
We show that a critical exponent which classifies the global existence and the finite time blow up of solutions indeed coincides with the one to a corresponding semilinear heat systems with small data. T. Ojika, S. Watanabe, and T. Mitsui (in preparation) have been developing a subroutine package NAES (Nonlinear Algebraic Equations Solver) for the numerical solutions of the system of nonlinear equations. An algorithm, in the package, termed the deflation algorithm, for determining multiple roots for a system of nonlinear equations, is presented and its effectiveness is shown by solving a numerical example.  相似文献

We consider the model that has been suggested by Greenberg et al. (Physica D 134 (1999) 362-383) for the ferroelectric behavior of materials. In this model, the usual (linear) Maxwell's equations are supplemented with a constitutive relation in which the electric displacement equals a constant times the electric field plus an internal polarization variable which evolves according to an internal set of nonlinear Maxwell's equations. For such model we provide rigorous proofs of global existence, uniqueness, and regularity of solutions. We also provide some preliminary results on the long-time behavior of solutions. The main difficulties in this study are due to the loss of compactness in the system of Maxwell's equations. These results generalize those of Greenberg et al., where only solutions with TM (transverse magnetic) symmetry were considered.  相似文献

This work is concerned with a system of two wave equations with nonlinear damping and source terms acting in both equations. Under some restrictions on the nonlinearity of the damping and the source terms, we show that our problem has a unique local solution. Also, we prove that, for some restrictions on the initial data, the rate of decay of the total energy is exponential or polynomial depending on the exponents of the damping terms in both equations.  相似文献

This paper deals with the global existence and nonexistence of solutions of the second-order nonlinear differential equation (φ(x))+λφ(x)=0(φ(x))+λφ(x)=0 satisfying x(0)=x0x(0)=x0 and x(0)=x1x(0)=x1, where λ   is a positive parameter and φ:(−ρ,ρ)→(−σ,σ)φ:(ρ,ρ)(σ,σ) with 0<ρ?∞0<ρ? and 0<σ?∞0<σ? is strictly increasing odd bijective and continuous on (−ρ,ρ)(ρ,ρ). Necessary and sufficient conditions are obtained for the initial value problem to have a unique global solution which is oscillatory and periodic. Examples are given to illustrate our main result. Finally, a nonexistence result for the equation with a damping term is discussed as an application to our result.  相似文献

By making use of a special Lyapunov-type function and applying the comparison method due to Conti, we prove global existence of solutions for a general class of nonlinear second-order differential equations that includes, in particular, van der Pol, Rayleigh, and Liénard equations, widely encountered in applications. This article studies the Cauchy problem for the damped wave equation with nonlinear memory. For a noncompactly supported initial data with small energy, global existence and asymptotic behaviour of solutions are obtained when 1?≤?n?≤?3. This result generalized the previous result by Fino [Critical exponent for damped wave equations with nonlinear memory, Nonlinear Anal. 74 (2011), pp. 5495–5505], which dealt with the solution with compactly supported initial data.  相似文献

In this paper we obtain new conditions for the global existence and boundedness of solutions for nonlinear second-order equations of the form (r(t)|u|p?2u)+g(t,u,u)u+a(t)f(u)=e(t), where p>1 is a real constant. We consider an initial-boundary value problem for a nonlinear wave equation in one space dimension. The nonlinearity features the damping term and a source term of the form , with 1$">. We show that whenever , then local weak solutions are global. On the other hand, we prove that whenever m$"> and the initial energy is negative, then local weak solutions cannot be global, regardless of the size of the initial data.

In this paper, we deal with the global existence and nonexistence of solutions to a diffusive polytropic filtration system with nonlinear boundary conditions. By constructing various kinds of sub- and super-solutions and using the basic properties of M-matrix, we give the necessary and sufficient conditions for global existence of nonnegative solutions, which extend the recent results of Li et al. (Z Angew Math Phys 60:284–298, 2009) and Wang et al. (Nonlinear Anal 71:2134–2140, 2009) to more general equations and simplify their proofs slightly.  相似文献
