In the present paper, in terms of a generalized solution of the wave equation, we perform an exhaustive study of the problem on the boundary control by an elastic force u x (0, t) = µ(t) at one endpoint x = 0 of a string in the presence of a model nonlocal boundary condition of one of four types relating (with the sign “+” or “?”) the values of the displacement u(x, t) or its derivative u x (x, t) at the boundary point x = l of the string to their values at some interior point \(\mathop x\limits^ \circ \) of the string (0 < \(\mathop x\limits^ \circ \) < l). We prove necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of such boundary controls. Under these conditions, we optimize the controls by minimizing the boundary energy integral and then write out the optimal boundary controls in closed analytic form.  相似文献

Let R be a commutative ring with 1 ≠ 0 and U(R) be the set of all unit elements of R. Let m, n be positive integers such that m > n. In this article, we study a generalization of n-absorbing ideals. A proper ideal I of R is called an (m, n)-absorbing ideal if whenever a 1?a m I for a 1,…, a m R?U(R), then there are n of the a i ’s whose product is in I. We investigate the stability of (m, n)-absorbing ideals with respect to various ring theoretic constructions and study (m, n)-absorbing ideals in several commutative rings. For example, in a Bézout ring or a Boolean ring, an ideal is an (m, n)-absorbing ideal if and only if it is an n-absorbing ideal, and in an almost Dedekind domain every (m, n)-absorbing ideal is a product of at most m ? 1 maximal ideals.  相似文献

Let R and S be associative rings and S V R a semidualizing (S-R)-bimodule. An R-module N is said to be V-Gorenstein injective if there exists a Hom R (I V (R),?) and Hom R (?,I V (R)) exact exact complex \( \cdots \to {I_1}\xrightarrow{{{d_0}}}{I_0} \to {I^0}\xrightarrow{{{d_0}}}{I^1} \to \cdots \) of V-injective modules I i and I i , i ∈ N0, such that N ? Im(I 0I 0). We will call N to be strongly V-Gorenstein injective in case that all modules and homomorphisms in the above exact complex are equal, respectively. It is proved that the class of V-Gorenstein injective modules are closed under extension, direct summand and is a subset of the Auslander class A V (R) which leads to the fact that V-Gorenstein injective modules admit exact right I V (R)-resolution. By using these facts, and thinking of the fact that the class of strongly V-Gorenstein injective modules is not closed under direct summand, it is proved that an R-module N is strongly V-Gorenstein injective if and only if NE is strongly V-Gorenstein injective for some V-injective module E. Finally, it is proved that an R-module N of finite V-Gorenstein injective injective dimension admits V-Gorenstein injective preenvelope which leads to the fact that, for a natural integer n, Gorenstein V-injective injective dimension of N is bounded to n if and only if \(Ext_{{I_V}\left( R \right)}^{ \geqslant n + 1}\left( {I,N} \right) = 0\) for all modules I with finite I V (R)-injective dimension.  相似文献

Let M n (n ? 3) be a complete Riemannian manifold with sec M ? 1, and let \(M_i^{n_i }\) (i = 1, 2) be two complete totally geodesic submanifolds in M. We prove that if n1 + n2 = n ? 2 and if the distance |M1M2| ? π/2, then M i is isometric to \(\mathbb{S}^{n_i } /\mathbb{Z}_h\), \(\mathbb{C}P^{n_i /2}\), or \(\mathbb{C}P^{n_i /2} /\mathbb{Z}_2 \) with the canonical metric when n i > 0; and thus, M is isometric to S n /? h , ?Pn/2, or ?Pn/2/?2 except possibly when n = 3 and \(M_1 (or M_2 )\mathop \cong \limits^{iso} \mathbb{S}^1 /\mathbb{Z}_h \) with h ? 2 or n = 4 and \(M_1 (or M_2 )\mathop \cong \limits^{iso} \mathbb{R}P^2 \).  相似文献

The paper is devoted to the study of intrinsic geometry of a Cartan distribution \(\mathcal{M}\) in projective space P2m . We essentially use the hyperband distribution \(\mathcal{H}\) and P2m associated with \(\mathcal{M}\). Using the duality theory, we construct, in the 4th differential neighborhood, a series of normalizations of \(\mathcal{M}\). We also consider dual affine connections \(\mathop \nabla \limits^1 \) and \(\mathop \nabla \limits^2 \) induced by the dual normalization of the Cartan distribution \(\mathcal{M}\).  相似文献

The system of equations \(\frac{{dx}}{{dt}} = A\left( \cdot \right)x + B\left( \cdot \right)u\), where A(·) ∈ ?n × n, B(·) ∈ ?n × m, S(·) ∈ Rn × m, is considered. The elements of the matrices A(·), B(·), S(·) are uniformly bounded and are functionals of an arbitrary nature. It is assumed that there exist k elements \({\alpha _{{i_i}{j_l}}}\left( \cdot \right)\left( {l \in \overline {1,k} } \right)\) of fixed sign above the main diagonal of the matrix A(·), and each of them is the only significant element in its row and column. The other elements above the main diagonal are sufficiently small. It is assumed that m = n ?k, and the elements βij(·) of the matrix B(·) possess the property \(\left| {{\beta _{{i_s}s}}\left( \cdot \right)} \right| = {\beta _0} > 0\;at\;{i_s}\; \in \;\overline {1,n} \backslash \left\{ {{i_1}, \ldots ,{i_k}} \right\}\). The other elements of the matrix B(·) are zero. The positive definite matrix H = {hij} of the following form is constructed. The main diagonal is occupied by the positive numbers hii = hi, \({h_{{i_l}}}_{{j_l}}\, = \,{h_{{j_l}{i_l}}}\, = \, - 0.5\sqrt {{h_{{i_l}}}_{{j_l}}} \,\operatorname{sgn} \,{\alpha _{{i_l}}}_{{j_l}}\left( \cdot \right)\). The other elements of the matrix H are zero. The analysis of the derivative of the Lyapunov function V(x) = x*H–1x yields hi\(\left( {i \in \overline {1,n} } \right)\) and λi ≤ 0 \(\left( {i \in \overline {1,n} } \right)\) such that for S(·) = H?1ΛB(·), Λ = diag(λ1, ..., λn), the system of the considered equations becomes globally exponentially stable. The control is robust with respect to the elements of the matrix A(·).  相似文献

Given an indexing set I and a finite field Kα for each α ∈ I, let ? = {L2(Kα) | α ∈ I} and \(\mathfrak{N} = \{ SL_2 (K_\alpha )|\alpha \in I\}\). We prove that each periodic group G saturated with groups in \(\Re (\mathfrak{N})\) is isomorphic to L2(P) (respectively SL2(P)) for a suitable locally finite field P.  相似文献

The system
$$\frac{{dx}}{{dt}} = A\left( \cdot \right)x + B\left( \cdot \right)u,{\kern 1pt} \frac{{dy}}{{dt}} = A\left( \cdot \right)y + B\left( \cdot \right)u + D\left( {C*y - v} \right)$$
where v = C*x is an output, u = S*y is a control, A(·) ∈ R n × n , B(·) ∈ R n × (np), C ∈ R n × (np), and D ∈ R n × (np), is considered. The elements αij(·) and βij(·) of the matrices A(·) and B(·) are arbitrary functionals satisfying the conditions
$$\mathop {\sup }\limits_{\left( \cdot \right)} |{\alpha _{ij}}\left( \cdot \right)| < \infty \left( {i,j \in 1,n} \right),\mathop {\sup }\limits_{\left( \cdot \right)} |{\beta _{ij}}\left( \cdot \right)| < \infty \left( {i \in 1,n,j \in 1,n - p} \right).$$
It is assumed that A(·) ∈ Z 1Z 3 and A*(·) ∈ Z 1Z 3, where Z 1 is the class of matrices in which the first p elements of the kth superdiagonal are sign-definite and the elements above them are sufficiently small. The class Z 3 differs from Z t1 in that the elements between this superdiagonal and the (k + 1)th row are sufficiently small. If k > p, then the elements of the p × p square in the upper left corner of the matrix are sufficiently small as well. By using special quadratic Lyapunov functions, a matrix D for which y(t)–x(t) → 0 exponentially as t → ∞ is first found, and then a matrix S for which the vectors x(t) and y(t) have the same property is constructed.

Let k be an algebraically closed field of characteristic p > 0, X a smooth projective variety over k with a fixed ample divisor H, FX : XX the absolute Frobenius morphism on X. Let E be a rational GLn(k)-bundle on X, and ρ : GLn(k) → GLm(k) a rational GLn(k)-representation of degree at most d such that ρ maps the radical RGLn(k)) of GLn(k) into the radical R(GLm(k)) of GLm(k). We show that if \(F_X^{N*}(E)\) is semistable for some integer \(N \ge {\max {_{0 < r < m}}}(_r^m) \cdot {\log _p}(dr)\), then the induced rational GLm(k)-bundle E(GLm(k)) is semistable. As an application, if dimX = n, we get a sufficient condition for the semistability of Frobenius direct image \(F_{X*}(\rho*(\Omega_X^1))\), where \(\rho*(\Omega_X^1)\) is the vector bundle obtained from \(\Omega_X^1\) via the rational representation ρ.  相似文献

Let \(n \ge 2\) be a fixed integer, R be a noncommutative n!-torsion free ring and I be any non zero ideal of R. In this paper we have proved the following results; (i) If R is a prime ring and there exists a symmetric skew n-derivation \(D: R^n \rightarrow R\) associated with the automorphism \(\sigma \) on R,  such that the trace function \(\delta : R \rightarrow R \) of D satisfies \([\delta (x), \sigma (x)] =0\), for all \(x\in I,\) then \(D=0;\,\)(ii) If R is a semi prime ring and the trace function \(\delta ,\) commuting on I,  satisfies \([\delta (x), \sigma (x)]\in Z\), for all \(x \in I,\) then \([\delta (x), \sigma (x)] = 0 \), for all \(x \in I.\) Moreover, we have proved some annihilating conditions for algebraic identity involving multiplicative(generalized) derivation.  相似文献

We consider the problem to synthesize a stabilizing control u synthesis for systems \(\frac{{dx}}{{dt}} = Ax + Bu\) where A ∈ ?n×n and B ∈ ?n×m, while the elements αi,j(·) of the matrix A are uniformly bounded nonanticipatory functionals of arbitrary nature. If the system is continuous, then the elements of the matrix B are continuous and uniformly bounded functionals as well. If the system is pulse-modulated, then the elements of the matrix B are differentiable uniformly bounded functions of time. It is assumed that k isolated uniformly bounded elements \({\alpha _{{i_l},{j_l}}}\left( \cdot \right)\) satisfying the condition \(\mathop {\inf }\limits_{\left( \cdot \right)} \left| {{\alpha _{{i_l},{j_l}}}\left( \cdot \right)} \right|{\alpha _ - } > 0,\quad l \in \overline {1,k}\) are located above the main diagonal of the matrix A(·), where G k is the set of all isolated elements of the system, J1 is the set of indices of rows of matrix A(·) containing isolated elements, and J2 is the set of indices of its rows free of isolated elements. It is assumed that other elements located above the main diagonal are sufficiently small provided that their row indices belong to J1, i.e., \(\mathop {\sup }\limits_{\left( \cdot \right)} \left| {{\alpha _{i,j}}\left( \cdot \right)} \right| < \delta ,\quad {\alpha _{i,j}} \notin {G_k},\quad i \in {J_1},\quad j > i\). All other elements located above the main diagonal are uniformly bounded. The relation u = S(·)x is satisfied in the continuous case, while the relation u = ξ(t) is satisfied in the pulse-modulated case; here the components of the vector ξ are outputs of synchronous pulse elements. Constructing a special quadratic Lyapunov function, one can determine a matrix S(·) such that the closed system becomes globally exponentially stable in the continuous case. In the pulse-modulated case, input pulses are synthesized such that the system becomes globally asymptotically stable.  相似文献

It is well known that the fundamental solution of
$${u_t}\left( {n,t} \right) = u\left( {n + 1,t} \right) - 2u\left( {n,t} \right) + u\left( {n - 1,t} \right),n \in \mathbb{Z},$$
with u(n, 0) = δ nm for every fixed m ∈ Z is given by u(n, t) = e ?2t I n?m (2t), where I k (t) is the Bessel function of imaginary argument. In other words, the heat semigroup of the discrete Laplacian is described by the formal series W t f(n) = Σ m∈Z e ?2t I n?m (2t)f(m). This formula allows us to analyze some operators associated with the discrete Laplacian using semigroup theory. In particular, we obtain the maximum principle for the discrete fractional Laplacian, weighted ? p (Z)-boundedness of conjugate harmonic functions, Riesz transforms and square functions of Littlewood-Paley. We also show that the Riesz transforms essentially coincide with the so-called discrete Hilbert transform defined by D. Hilbert at the beginning of the twentieth century. We also see that these Riesz transforms are limits of the conjugate harmonic functions. The results rely on a careful use of several properties of Bessel functions.

We completely determine the universal central extension of the generalized orthosymplectic Lie superalgebra osp m|2n (R,-) that is coordinatized by an arbitrary unital associative superalgebra (R,-) with superinvolution. As a result, an identification between the second homology group of the Lie superalgebra osp m|2n (R,-) and the first skew-dihedral homology group of the associative superalgebra (R,-) with superinvolution is created for positive integers m and n with (m,n) ≠ (1,1) and (m, n) ≠ (2,1). The second homology groups of the Lie superalgebras osp1|2(R,-) and osp2|2(R,-) are also characterized explicitly.  相似文献

The paper considers cubature formulas for calculating integrals of functions f(X), X = (x 1, …, x n ) which are defined on the n-dimensional unit hypercube K n = [0, 1] n and have integrable mixed derivatives of the kind \(\partial _{\begin{array}{*{20}c} {\alpha _1 \alpha _n } \\ {x_1 , \ldots , x_n } \\ \end{array} } f(X)\), 0 ≤ α j ≤ 2. We estimate the errors R[f] = \(\smallint _{K^n } \) f(X)dX ? Σ k = 1 N c k f(X(k)) of cubature formulas (c k > 0) as functions of the weights c k of nodes X(k) and properties of integrable functions. The error is estimated in terms of the integrals of the derivatives of f over r-dimensional faces (rn) of the hypercube K n : |R(f)| ≤ \(\sum _{\alpha _j } \) G j )\(\int_{K^r } {\left| {\partial _{\begin{array}{*{20}c} {\alpha _1 \alpha _n } \\ {x_1 , \ldots , x_n } \\ \end{array} } f(X)} \right|} \) dX r , where coefficients G j ) are criteria which depend only on parameters c k and X(k). We present an algorithm to calculate these criteria in the two- and n-dimensional cases. Examples are given. A particular case of the criteria is the discrepancy, and the algorithm proposed is a generalization of those used to compute the discrepancy. The results obtained can be used for optimization of cubature formulas as functions of c k and X(k).  相似文献

For Riesz potential I β (f) on p-adic linear space Q p n and its modification \(\widetilde{I^\beta }(f)\) we give sufficient conditions of their boundedness from radialMorrey space to anotherMorrey or Campanato space. Also we study the boundedness of modified Riesz potential \(\widetilde{I^\beta }(f)\) from Herz space to special Campanato spaces.  相似文献

Call a sequence of k Boolean variables or their negations a k-tuple. For a set V of n Boolean variables, let T k (V) denote the set of all 2 k n k possible k-tuples on V. Randomly generate a set C of k-tuples by including every k-tuple in T k (V) independently with probability p, and let Q be a given set of q “bad” tuple assignments. An instance I = (C,Q) is called satisfiable if there exists an assignment that does not set any of the k-tuples in C to a bad tuple assignment in Q. Suppose that θ, q > 0 are fixed and ε = ε(n) > 0 be such that εlnn/lnlnn→∞. Let k ≥ (1 + θ) log2 n and let \({p_0} = \frac{{\ln 2}}{{q{n^{k - 1}}}}\). We prove that
$$\mathop {\lim }\limits_{n \to \infty } P\left[ {I is satisfiable} \right] = \left\{ {\begin{array}{*{20}c} {1,} & {p \leqslant (1 - \varepsilon )p_0 ,} \\ {0,} & {p \geqslant (1 + \varepsilon )p_0 .} \\ \end{array} } \right.$$

For a finite group G and nonnegative integer n ≥ 0, one may consider the associated tower \(G \wr S_{n} := S_{n} \ltimes G^{n}\) of wreath product groups. Zelevinsky associated to such a tower the structure of a positive self-adjoint Hopf algebra (PSH-algebra) R(G) on the direct sum over integers n ≥ 0 of the Grothendieck groups K 0(R e p?G?S n ). In this paper, we study the interaction via induction and restriction of the PSH-algebras R(G) and R(H) associated to finite groups H ? G. A class of Hopf modules over PSH-algebras with a compatibility between the comultiplication and multiplication involving the Hopf k t h -power map arise naturally and are studied independently. We also give an explicit formula for the natural PSH-algebra morphisms R(H) → R(G) and R(G) → R(H) arising from induction and restriction. In an appendix, we consider a family of subgroups of wreath product groups analogous to the subgroups G(m, p, n) of the wreath product cyclotomic complex reflection groups G(m, 1, n).  相似文献

For integers m > r ≥ 0, Brietzke (2008) defined the (m, r)-central coefficients of an infinite lower triangular matrix G = (d, h) = (dn,k)n,k∈N as dmn+r,(m?1)n+r, with n = 0, 1, 2,..., and the (m, r)-central coefficient triangle of G as
$${G^{\left( {m,r} \right)}} = {\left( {{d_{mn + r,\left( {m - 1} \right)n + k + r}}} \right)_{n,k \in \mathbb{N}}}.$$
It is known that the (m, r)-central coefficient triangles of any Riordan array are also Riordan arrays. In this paper, for a Riordan array G = (d, h) with h(0) = 0 and d(0), h′(0) ≠ 0, we obtain the generating function of its (m, r)-central coefficients and give an explicit representation for the (m, r)-central Riordan array G(m,r) in terms of the Riordan array G. Meanwhile, the algebraic structures of the (m, r)-central Riordan arrays are also investigated, such as their decompositions, their inverses, and their recessive expressions in terms of m and r. As applications, we determine the (m, r)-central Riordan arrays of the Pascal matrix and other Riordan arrays, from which numerous identities are constructed by a uniform approach.
