Let X be a non-elementary Riemann surface of type(g,n),where g is the number of genus and n is the number of punctures with 3g-3+n1.Let T(X)be the Teichmller space of X.By constructing a certain subset E of T(X),we show that the convex hull of E with respect to the Teichmller metric,the Carathodory metric and the Weil-Petersson metric is not in any thick part of the Teichmler space,respectively.This implies that convex hulls of thick part of Teichmller space with respect to these metrics are not always in thick part of Teichmller space,as well as the facts that thick part of Teichmller space is not always convex with respect to these metrics.  相似文献

Geometric aspects of the moduli space of Riemann surfaces   总被引:10,自引:0,他引:10  
We describe some recent progress in the study of moduli space of Riemann surfaces in this survey paper. New complete Kahler metrics were introduced on the moduli space and Teichmuller space. Their curvature properties and asymptotic behavior were studied in details. These natural metrics served as bridges to connect all the known canonical metrics, especially the Kahler-Einstein metric. We showed that all the known complete metrics on the moduli space are equivalent and have Poincare type growth. Furthermore, the Kahler-Einstein metric has strongly bounded geometry. This also implied that the logarithm cotangent bundle of the moduli space is stable in the sense of Mumford.  相似文献

In this paper, we study homogeneous Einstein-like metrics on the compact irreducible symmetric space M, which is not isometric to a compact Lie group and has rank greater than 1. Whenever there exists a closed proper subgroup G′ of G = Isom_0(M) acting transitively on M, we find all the G′-invariant A-metrics and B-metrics on M. More precisely, we prove that G′-invariant metrics on M must be A-metrics, and G′-invariant B-metrics on M are always Einstein.  相似文献

Let △n be the ball |x| 1 in the complex vector space C n , let f :△n→ C n be a holomorphic mapping and let M be a positive integer. Assume that the origin 0 = (0, . . . , 0) is an isolated fixed point of both f and the M-th iteration f M of f. Then the (local) Dold index P M (f, 0) at the origin is well defined, which can be interpreted to be the number of virtual periodic points of period M of f hidden at the origin: any holomorphic mapping f 1 :△n→ C n sufficiently close to f has exactly P M (f, 0) distinct periodic points of period M near the origin, provided that all the fixed points of f M 1 near the origin are simple. Therefore, the number O M (f, 0) = P M (f, 0)/M can be understood to be the number of virtual periodic orbits of period M hidden at the fixed point. According to the works of Shub-Sullivan and Chow-Mallet-Paret-Yorke, a necessary condition so that there exists at least one virtual periodic orbit of period M hidden at the fixed point, i.e., O M (f, 0)≥1, is that the linear part of f at the origin has a periodic point of period M. It is proved by the author recently that the converse holds true. In this paper, we will study the condition for the linear part of f at 0 so that O M (f, 0)≥2. For a 2 × 2 matrix A that is arbitrarily given, the goal of this paper is to give a necessary and sufficient condition for A, such that O M (f, 0)≥2 for all holomorphic mappings f :△2 → C 2 such that f(0) = 0, Df(0) = A and that the origin 0 is an isolated fixed point of f M .  相似文献

The authors prove that all n-th completely bounded cohomology groups of a nest algebra T(N) acting on a separable Hilbert space are trivial when the coefficients lie in any ultraweakly closed T(N)-bimodule containing the nest algebra. They also prove that Hcbn(A, M)(?)Hcbn(A, A) for all n≥1 and a CSL algebra A with an ultraweakly closed A-bimodule M containing A.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate a class of quadratic Riemannian curvature functionals on closed smooth manifold M of dimension n ≥3 on the space of Riemannian metrics on M consisting of metrics with unit volume.We study the stability of these functionals at the metric with constant sectional curvature as its critical point.  相似文献

Let (∈n)≥0 be the Markov chain of two states with respect to the probability measure of the maximal entropy on the subshift space ∑A defined by Fibonacci incident matrix A.We consider the measure μλ of the probability distribution of the random series ∑∞n=0 εnλn (0 <λ< 1).It is proved that μλ is singular if λ∈ (0,√5-1/2) and that μλ is absolutely continuous for almost all λ∈ (√5-1/2,0.739).  相似文献

The author introduces the w-function defined on the considered spacelike graph M.Under the growth conditions w = o(log z) and w = o(r),two Bernstein type theorems for M in Rmn+ mare got,where z and r are the pseudo-Euclidean distance and the distance function on M to some fixed point respectively.As the ambient space is a curved pseudoRiemannian product of two Riemannian manifolds(Σ1,g1) and(Σ2,g2) of dimensions n and m,a Bernstein type result for n = 2 under some curvature conditions on Σ1 and Σ2 and the growth condition w = o(r) is also got.As more general cases,under some curvature conditions on the ambient space and the growth condition w = o(r) or w = o(√r),the author concludes that if M has parallel mean curvature,then M is maximal.  相似文献

Suppose F is a field consisting of at least four elements. Let Mn(F) and SP2n(F) be the linear space of all n×n matrices and the group of all 2n×2n symplectic matrices over F, respectively. A linear operator L:M2n(F)→M2n(F) is said to preserve the symplectic group if L(SP2n(F))=SP2n(F). It is shown that L is an invertible preserver of the symplectic group if and only if L takes the form (i) L(X)=QPXP-1 for any X∈M2n(F) or (ii) L(X)=QPXTP-1 for any X∈M2n(F), where Q∈SP2n(F) and P is a generalized symplectic matrix. This generalizes the result derived by Pierce in Canad J. Math., 3(1975), 715-724.  相似文献

Given a connected CW-space X, SN T(X) denotes the set of all homotopy types[X′] such that the Postnikov approximations X~((n)) and X′~((n)) are homotopy equivalent for all n. The main purpose of this paper is to show that the set of all the same homotopy ntypes of the suspension of the wedges of the Eilenberg-MacL ane spaces is the one element set consisting of a single homotopy type of itself, i.e., SNT(Σ(K(Z, 2a_1) ∨ K(Z, 2a_2) ∨···∨ K(Z, 2a_k))) = * for a_1 a_2 ··· a_k, as a far more general conjecture than the original one of the same n-type posed by McG ibbon and M?ller(in [McG ibbon, C. For a Tychonoff space X,we use ↓USC F(X) and ↓C F(X) to denote the families of the hypographs of all semi-continuous maps and of all continuous maps from X to I = [0,1] with the subspace topologies of the hyperspace Cld F(X × I) consisting of all non-empty closed sets in X × I endowed with the Fell topology.In this paper,we shall show that there exists a homeomorphism h:↓USC F(X) → Q = [1,1] ω such that h(↓CF(X))=c0 = {(xn)∈Q| lim n→∞ x n = 0} if and only if X is a locally compact separable metrizable space and the set of isolated points is not dense in X.  相似文献

Necessary and sufficient conditions are studied that a bounded operator T_x =(x_1~*x, x_2~*x,···) on the space ?_∞, where x_n~*∈ ?_∞~*, is lower or upper semi-Fredholm; in particular, topological properties of the set {x_1~*, x_2~*,···} are investigated. Various estimates of the defect d(T) = codim R(T), where R(T) is the range of T, are given. The case of x_n~*= d_nx_(tn)~*,where dn ∈ R and x_(tn)~*≥ 0 are extreme points of the unit ball B_?_∞~*, that is, t_n ∈βN, is considered. In terms of the sequence {t_n}, the conditions of the closedness of the range R(T)are given and the value d(T) is calculated. For example, the condition {n:0 |d_n| δ} = Φ for some δ is sufficient and if for large n points tn are isolated elements of the sequence {t_n},then it is also necessary for the closedness of R(T)(t_(n0) is isolated if there is a neighborhood U of t_(n0) satisfying t_n ■ U for all n ≠ n0). If {n:|d_n| δ} =Φ, then d(T) is equal to the defect δ{_tn} of {t_n}. It is shown that if d(T) = ∞ and R(T) is closed, then there exists a sequence {A_n} of pairwise disjoint subsets of N satisfying χ_(A_n)■R(T).  相似文献

In this paper, we study weighted mean integral convergence of Hakopian interpolation on the unit disk D. We show that the inner product between Hakopian interpolation polynomial Hn(f;x,y) and a smooth function g(x,y) on D converges to that of f(x,y) and g(x,y) on D when n →∞, provided f(x,y) belongs to C(D) and all first partial derivatives of g(x,y) belong to the space LipαM(0 <α≤ 1). We further show that provided all second partial derivatives of g(x,y) also belong to the space LipαM and f(x,y) belongs to C1 (D), the inner product between the partial derivative of Hakopian interpolation polynomial (6)/(6)xHn(f;x,y) and g(x,y) on D converges to that between (6)/(6)xf(x,y) and g(x,y) on D when n →∞.  相似文献

A sufficient condition is obtained for the minimality of the complex exponential system E(A, M) = {z^le^λnz: l = 0, 1,,.., mn - 1; n = 1, 2,...} in the Banaeh space La^p consisting of all functions f such that f^-a ∈ LP(N). The authors compute non-zero structure constants of the full flag manifold M = SO(7)/T with nine isotropy summands,then construct the Einstein equations.With the help of computer they get all the forty-eight positive solutions(up to a scale) for SO(7)/T,up to isometry there are only five G-invariant Einstein metrics,of which one is Khler Einstein metric and four are non-Khler Einstein metrics.  相似文献

In this paper, the authors construct a class of unitary invariant strongly pseudoconvex complex Finsler metrics which are of the form F =√[ rf(s- t)[, where r = ||v||~ 2, s =| z,v |~2/r, t =|| z||~ 2, f(w) is a real-valued smooth positive function of w ∈ R,and z is in a unitary invariant domain M  C~n. Complex Finsler metrics of this form are unitary invariant. We prove that F is a class of weakly complex Berwald metrics whose holomorphic curvature and Ricci scalar curvature vanish identically and are independent of the choice of the function f. Under initial value conditions on f and its derivative f, we prove that all the real geodesics of F =√[rf(s- t)] on every Euclidean sphere S~(2n-1) M are great circles.  相似文献
