The purpose of this paper is to discuss those kinds of statistical convergence,in terms of filter F,or ideal L-convergence,which are equivalent to measure convergence defined by a single statistical measure.We prove a number of characterizations of a single statistical measure μ-convergence by using properties of its corresponding quotient Banach space l_∞/l_∞(I_μ).We also show that the usual sequential convergence is not equivalent to a single measure convergence.  相似文献

The numerical modelling of surface water waves generated by a moving underwater landslide on irregular bottom is considered. The non-linear shallow water model is used with taking into account bottom mobility. The equations are obtained for an underwater landslide movement under the action of gravity force, buoyancy force, friction force and water resistance force. The predictor-corrector scheme [5], preserving the monotonicity of the numerical solution profiles in a linear case, is used on adaptive grids. The scheme is validated on the problem with a known analytical solution. The analysis is done for the dependencies of wave regimes on bottom slope, initial landslide depth, its length and width. Summary The initial-value problem of surface waves generated by a moving oscillatory pressure distribution is considered and the effect of surface tension on such waves is studied in detail. It is found that the surface tension modifies the critical case in a remarkable way. And also it introduces two extra waves that exist in the upstream side of the pressure distribution.
Zusammenfassung Das Anfangswertproblem der Oberflächenwellen die durch eine bewegte oszillierende Druckverteilung erzeugt werden, wird behandelt und der Einfluss der Oberflächenspannung wird ausführlich untersucht. Es wird gefunden, dass die Oberflächenspannung den kritischen Fall in bemerkenswerter Weise beeinflusst, und auch zwei besondere Wellen stromaufwärts von der Druckstörung verursacht.

The optimal of damping out the oscillations of an elastically rectangular double-membrane system by means of point-wise actuators is solved analytically. The membrane is clamped along the boundaries. The motion of the system is initiated by given initial displacement and velocity conditions. The basic control problem is to minimize the deflection and the velocity of displacements at a specified time with the minimum expenditure of actuation energy. A quadratic performance functional is chosen as the cost functional which comprises the functionals of the deflection, velocity and the point-wise actuators. Necessary and sufficient conditions of optimality are investigated. The necessary conditions of optimality are obtained from a variational approach and formulated in the form of degenerate integrals which lead to explicit optimal control laws for the actuators. Numerical results are given for various problem parameters and the efficiency of the control mechanism is investigated.  相似文献

We construct analytical solutions for a system composed of a reaction–diffusion equation coupled with a purely diffusive equation. The question is to know if the traveling wave solutions of the reaction–diffusion equation can generate a traveling wave for the diffusion equation. Our motivation comes from the calcic wave, generated after fertilization within the egg cell endoplasmic reticulum, and propagating within the egg cell. We consider both the monostable (Fisher–KPP type) and bistable cases. We use a piecewise linear reaction term so as to build explicit solutions, which leads us to compute exponential tails whose exponents are roots of second-, third-, or fourth-order polynomials. These raise conditions on the coefficients for existence of a traveling wave of the diffusion equation. The question of positivity and monotonicity is only partially answered.  相似文献

We consider solutions of the scalar wave equation vanishing on the boundary of an obstacle which undergoes periodic motion. In analogy with the Lax-Phillips theory, we show that the scattering matrix, as a function of frequency, is holomorphic in a lower half-plane, and meromorphic in an upper half-plane, provided rays are not trapped. The poles of the scattering matrix correspond to certain outgoing eigenfunctions, and there is a near-field expansion of finite energy solutions in terms of these eigenfunctions.  相似文献

Cross decomposition is a recent method for mixed integer programming problems, exploiting simultaneously both the primal and the dual structure of the problem, thus combining the advantages of Dantzig—Wolfe decomposition and Benders decomposition. Finite convergence of the algorithm equipped with some simple convergence tests has been proved. Stronger convergence tests have been proposed, but not shown to yield finite convergence.In this paper cross decomposition is generalized and applied to linear programming problems, mixed integer programming problems and nonlinear programming problems (with and without linear parts). Using the stronger convergence tests finite exact convergence is shown in the first cases. Unbounded cases are discussed and also included in the convergence tests. The behaviour of the algorithm when parts of the constraint matrix are zero is also discussed. The cross decomposition procedure is generalized (by using generalized Benders decomposition) in order to enable the solution of nonlinear programming problems.  相似文献

The diffraction of a line source by an absorbing finite barrier, satisfying Myers' impedance condition [M.K. Myers, On the acoustic boundary condition in the presence of flow, J. Sound Vibration 71 (1980) 429-434] in the presence of a subsonic flow is studied. The problem is solved analytically by using Integral transforms, Wiener-Hopf technique and the asymptotic methods. The expression for the diffracted field is shown to be the sum of the fields produced by the two edges of the strip and a field due to the interaction of the two edges. The diffracted field in the far zone is determined by the method of steepest decent.  相似文献

The generation of waves inside an ideal two-layer stratified shallow water by the uniform motion of a vertical plate partially immersed in the fluid mass is studied in two dimensions. The fluid is assumed to occupy an infinite channel of constant depth. Two distinctive cases are studied according to whether the submerged part of the moving plate is smaller or greater than the upper layer's depth. In the first case, the lower fluid layer is not influenced by the motion of the plate up to the second order of approximation and local perturbations, only, are created in the upper layer. For the second case, progressive waves of the first order are shown in both layers besides local perturbations of the second order in the lower layer only. Passing to the limit of homogeneous fluids, local perturbations only remain. This passage to the limit shows that the stratification of the fluid mass is significant for the generation progressive waves. The systems of stream lines are drawn for stratified and homogeneous fluids.  相似文献

Two-dimensional travelling waves on an ideal fluid with gravity and surface tension over a periodically moving bottom with a small amplitude are studied. The bottom and the wave travel with a same speed. The exact Euler equations are formulated as a spatial dynamic system by using the stream function. A manifold reduction technique is applied to reduce the system into one of ordinary differential equations with finite dimensions. A homoclinic solution to the normal form of this reduced system persists when higher-order terms are added, which gives a generalized solitary wave—the homoclinic solution connecting a periodic solution.  相似文献

Summary A dynamic crack problem with finite crack length subject to antiplane shear is solved. The medium is viscoelastic in shear and the two tips are allowed to extend as arbitrary functions of time; hence it represents a more realistic physical condition. On the other hand, the solution is interesting in itself because of the lack of the elastic-viscoelastic correspondence principle. The solution is obtained from a system of recursive Abel's integral equations which are derived from an integral representation, slightly different from Poisson's formula for the wave equation.
Zusammenfassung Das dynamische Fortpflanzungsproblem eines Risses mit endlicher Länge unter orthogonaler Schubbelastung wird hier gelöst. Das Medium soll sich unter Schub viskoelastisch verhalten, und die zwei Rissspitzen sollen sich als willkürliche Zeitfunktionen ausdehnen können. Aus diesen beiden Annahmen entsteht sodann ein realistischeres physikalisches Modell. Die Lösung ist auch vom mathematischen Standpunkt aus interessant, da hier das elastisch-viskoelastische Korrespondenzprinzip nicht anwendbar ist. Eine Integraldarstellung, die sich von der Poissonschen Formel für die Wellengleichung wenig unter-scheidet, führt zu einem rekursiven System von Abelschen Integralgleichungen und somit zur obengenannten Lösung.

We describe global time existence nd uniqueness results for the wave equations with boundary conditions of Dirichlet type on a characteresitc cone and either Dirichlet or Neumann type on a timelike tube. We find that the solution is in general only half as regular as the data and we provide estimates which describe the differing differentiabilities of the solution in directions which are either tangent or transvers to the characteristic cone.  相似文献

In recent years,a nonoverlapping domain decomposition iterative procedure,which is based on using Robin-type boundary conditions as information transmission conditions on the subdomain interfaces,has been developed and analyzed.It is known that the convergence rate of this method is 1-O(h),where h is mesh size.In this paper,the convergence rate is improved to be 1-O(h1/2 H-1/2)sometime by choosing suitable parameter,where H is the subdomain size.Counter examples are constructed to show that our convergence estimates are sharp,which means that the convergence rate cannot be better than 1-O(h1/2H-1/2)in a certain case no matter how parameter is chosen.  相似文献

We determine the rate with which finitely multiple approximations in the Feynman formula converge to the exact expression for the equilibrium density operator of a harmonic oscillator in the linear ??-quantization. We obtain an explicit analytic expression for a finitely multiple approximation of the equilibrium density operator and the related Wigner function. We show that in the class of ??-quantizations, the equilibrium Wigner function of a harmonic oscillator is positive definite only in the case of the Weyl quantization.  相似文献

The author's decomposition method using his An polynomials for the nonlinearities has been shown to apply to wide classes of nonlinear (or nonlinear stochastic) operator equations providing a computable, accurate solution which converges rapidly.
