Singly-periodic monogenic cotangent and cosecant functions areimportant to Clifford analysis because they are the buildingblocks of the Bergman and Szegö reproducing kernels forstrip domains, that is, rectangular domains with a single boundeddimension. In this paper, Cauchy type integral and singular integral over hyper-complex plane \({\prod}\) are considered. By using a special Möbius transform, an equivalent relation between \({\widehat{H}^\mu}\) class functions over \({\prod}\) and \({H^\mu}\) class functions over the unit sphere is shown. For \({\widehat{H}^\mu}\) class functions over \({\prod}\) , we prove the existence of Cauchy type integral and singular integral over \({\prod}\) . Cauchy integral formulas as well as Poisson integral formulas for monogenic functions in upper-half and lower-half space are given respectively. By using Möbius transform again, the relation between the Cauchy type integrals and the singular integrals over \({\prod}\) and unit sphere is built. 相似文献

In the last decade several versions of the Fourier transform have been formulated in the framework of Clifford algebra. We present a (Clifford-Fourier) transform, constructed using the geometric properties of Clifford algebra. We show the corresponding results of operational calculus, and a connection between the Fourier transform and this new transform. We obtain a technique to construct monogenic extensions of a certain type of continuous functions, and versions of the Paley-Wiener theorems are formulated. 相似文献

We consider Einstein's equations coupled to the Euler equations in plane symmetry, with compact spatial slices and constant mean curvature time. We show that for a wide variety of equations of state and a large class of initial data, classical solutions break down in finite time. The key mathematical result is a new theorem on the breakdown of solutions of systems of balance laws. We also show that an extension of the solution is possible if the spatial derivatives of the energy density and the velocity are bounded, indicating that the breakdown is really due to the formation of shock waves. 相似文献

This paper is aimed at finding all linear first order partial differential operators \({\mathcal{F}}\) with parameter-depending Clifford-algebra-valued coefficients, that are associated to the generalized Cauchy-Riemann operator. In order to obtain the conditions on the coefficients of \({\mathcal{F}}\), a Leibniz rule for functions with values in a more general Clifford-type algebra is proved. Using the theory of associated spaces, we show the construction of solutions of initial value problems involving these operators. 相似文献

The Oregonator is a set of differential equations proposed by R. J. Field and R. M. Noyes as a model for the oscillating chemical reaction first studied by B. P. Belousov and A. M. Zhabotinskii. In this paper it is shown that the associated diffusion equations have periodic plane waves for parameter values not covered in earlier work. This amounts to studying a singularly perturbed system when nothing is known about the stability of periodic solutions for the reduced system. 相似文献

By Brinkmann’s theorem the only Ricci flat and nonflat 4-manifolds admitting non-homothetic conformal vector fields are certain pp-waves. It seems that the converse direction was never completely clarified Which metrics really do occur? It is well known that the conformal group of a nonconformally-flat spacetime is atmost seven-dimensional and that seven is attained for certain pp-waves. Here we explicitly determine all solutions with a seven-dimensional conformal group. In other words We determine all Ricci flat Lorentzian manifolds admitting a seven-dimensional conformal group. They come in three particular families of gravitational plane waves. All of them are exact analytic solutions in terms of elementary functions. Furthermore, it turns out that Ricci flat Lorentzian manifolds with a six-dimensional conformal group are not necessarily real analytic. 相似文献

A Poincaré-Lindstedt type technique for partial differential equations is used to study branching phenomena in perturbed dispersive systems arising in hydrodynamic stability theory. Multi-periodic waves with two frequencies which branch from a family of neutrally stable nonlinear periodic plane waves are constructed, the second frequency as a power series expansion in ε. The branching is compared with that of the unperturbed equations described in an earlier paper for the purpose of understanding how higher order perturbation terms effect the properties of the lower order amplitude equations. We find that in general the perturbation terms alter the leading order frequency shifts, thus changing the bifurcation from pitchfork to transverse type. The method is used to study the perturbed nonlinear Schrödinger equation and the perturbed MKdV equation. 相似文献

We briefly report on some exact results (Fiore in J. Phys. A, Math. Theor. 47:225501, 2014) regarding plane waves in a relativistic cold plasma. If the plasma, initially at rest, is reached by a transverse plane electromagnetic travelling-wave, then its motion has a very simple dependence on this wave in the limit of zero density, otherwise can be determined by an iterative procedure whose accuracy decreases with time or the plasma density. Thus one can describe in particular the impact of a very intense and short laser pulse onto a plasma and determine conditions for the slingshot effect (Fiore et al. in arXiv:1309.1400, 2014) to occur. The motion in vacuum of a charged test particle subject to a wave of the same kind is also determined, for any initial velocity. 相似文献

The aim of this paper is to show Cauchy-Kowalevski and Holmgren type theorems with an infinite number of variables. We adopt von Koch and Hilbert's definition of analyticity of functions as monomial expansions. Our Cauchy-Kowalevski type theorem is derived by modifying the classical method of majorants.Based on this result, by employing some tools from abstract Wiener spaces, we establish our Holmgren type theorem. 相似文献
