Motivated by recent experimental results and ongoing measurements, we review the chiral perturbation theory prediction for decays. Special emphasis is given to the stability of the inner bremsstrahlung-dominated relative branching ratio versus the K e3 form factors, and on the separation of the structure-dependent amplitude in differential distributions over the phase space. For the structure-dependent terms, an assessment of the order p 6 corrections is given, in particular, a full next-to-leading order calculation of the axial component is performed. The experimental analysis of the photon energy spectrum is discussed, and other potentially useful distributions are introduced.Received: 9 December 2004, Published online: 21 February 2005PACS: 13.20.Eb, 11.30.Rd, 12.39.Fe  相似文献

The E-theory defined by Connes and Higson provides a realization of K-homology, the generalized homology theory dual to K-theory, based on the notion of asymptotic homomorphisms. With this realization it becomes possible to associate a K-homology element to a quantization scheme. In this article we associate an asymptotic homomorphism and K-homology element to the Berezin quantization of a bounded symmetric domain. Further, we identify this element with the element of K-homology defined by the Dolbeault operator of the domain. The author was supported by the NSF through an MSRI Postdoctoral Fellowship and other grants.  相似文献

We present a detailed numerical study of the Ke3 decays to in chiral perturbation theory with virtual photons and leptons. We describe the extraction of the CKM matrix element |Vus| from the experimental Ke3 decay parameters. We propose a consistency check of the K + e3 and K0e3 data that is largely insensitive to the dominating theoretical uncertainties, in particular the contributions of . Our analysis is highly relevant in view of the recent high statistics measurement of the K + e3 branching ratio by E865 at Brookhaven which does not indicate any significant deviation from CKM unitarity but rather a discrepancy with the present K0e3 data.Received: 22 January 2004, Published online: 30 April 2004Work supported in part by IHP-RTN, Contract No. HPRN-CT2002-00311 (EURIDICE) and by Acciones Integradas, Project No. 19/2003 (Austria), HU2002-0044 (MCYT, Spain)  相似文献

From a macroscopic theory of the quantum vacuum in terms of conserved relativistic charges (generically denoted by q (a) with label a), we have obtained, in the low-energy limit, a particular type of f(R) model relevant to cosmology. The macroscopic quantum-vacuum theory allows us to distinguish between different phenomenological f(R) models on physical grounds. The text was submitted by the authors in English.  相似文献

Recent results from OKA setup concerning form factor studies in Ke3 decay are presented. About 5.25 M events obtained for decays of 17.7 GeV/cK+ are selected for the analysis. The linear and quadratic slopes for the decay form factor f+(t) are measured: λ'+ = 2.95 ± 0.022 ± 0.018 × 10 -2 for the linear slope fit and λ+ = 2.611 ± 0.035 ± 0.028 × 10 -2, λ"+ = 1.91 ± 0.19 ± 0.14 × 10 -3 for the quadratic one. The scalar and tensor contributions are compatible with zero. Several alternative parametrizations are tried: the Pole fit parameter is found to be M V = 891 ± 3 MeV; the parameter of the dispersive parametrization is measured to be Λ+ = 2.458 ± 0.018 × 10-2.  相似文献

We report our results for the bag parameter B K obtained from the quenched simulations on the lattice with Wilson fermions for three values of the lattice spacing. We implemented the method by which no subtraction of the mixing with other four-fermion operators is needed. Our final result, in terms of the renormalization group invariant bag parameter, is .Received: 9 July 2004, Revised: 27 July 2004, Published online: 21 September 2004  相似文献

The Kd reactions are considered in the impulse approximationwithNN final-state interactions (FSI) taken into account. Realistic parameters for the KN phase shifts are used. The “quasi-elastic” energy region, in which the elementary KN interaction is predominantly elastic, is considered. The theoretical predictions are compared with the data on the K + dK + pn, K + d → K0 pp, K + dK + d, and K + d total cross sections. The NN FSI effect in the reaction K + dK + pn has been found to be large. The predictions for the Kd cross sections are also given for slow kaons, produced from ϕ(1020) decays, as the functions of the isoscalar KN scattering length a 0. These predictions can be used to extract the value of a 0 from the data. The text was submitted by the authors in English.  相似文献

The final-state interaction of pions in K e4 decay allows to obtain the value of the isospin and angular-momentum-zero ππ scattering length a 0 0 .We take into account the electromagnetic interaction of pions and isospin-symmetry-breaking effects caused by different masses of neutral and charged pions and estimate the impact of these effects on the procedure of scattering-length extraction from K e4 decays.  相似文献

In a recent paper (Sharif and Shamir in Class. Quantum Grav. 26:235020, 2009), we have studied the vacuum solutions of Bianchi types I and V spacetimes in the framework of metric f (R) gravity. Here we extend this work to perfect fluid solutions. For this purpose, we take stiff matter to find energy density and pressure of the universe. In particular, we find two exact solutions in each case which correspond to two models of the universe. The first solution gives a singular model while the second solution provides a non-singular model. The physical behavior of these models has been discussed using some physical quantities. Also, the function of the Ricci scalar is evaluated.  相似文献

The question of the K factor in transversely polarised Drell-Yan (DY) processes is examined. The transverse-spin case is peculiar for the absence of a reference point in deeply inelastic scattering (DIS). Therefore, in order to study more fully the possible effects of higher-order corrections on DY asymmetries, a DIS definition for transversity is devised using a hypothetical scalar (Higgs-like) vertex. The results show that some care may be required in interpreting experimentally extracted partonic transversity, in particular when comparing with model calculations or predictions.Received: 21 December 2004, Revised: 15 March 2005, Published online: 21 April 2005PACS: 13.88. + e, 12.38.Bx  相似文献

It is proven that K-causality coincides with stable causality, and that in a K-causal spacetime the relation K + coincides with the Seifert’s relation. As a consequence the causal relation “the spacetime is strongly causal and the closure of the causal relation is transitive” stays between stable causality and causal continuity.  相似文献

Ferromagnetism and ferroelectricity in Eu monochalcogenides have been investigated by ab initio density functional theory in the DFT+U approach. Exchange interaction parameters and Curie temperatures under pressure are studied and discussed using Heisenberg Hamiltonian with first and second-nearest-neighbor interactions. The calculations showed that the hydrostatic pressure perfectly improves the Curie temperature (EuO: T C = 175 K; EuS: T C = 33.8 K) and in the other hand it cannot induce the spontaneous polarization (P s ). The effect of uniaxial and biaxial pressure is also studied. Although the uniaxial strains slightly increases the Curie temperature, it ensures the ferrolectricity in these systems by producing a spontaneous polarization of the order of P s (EuO) = 57.50 μC/cm2 and P s (EuS) = 42.86 μC/cm2 with pressures of 5% and 4%, respectively. The search for new model systems is a necessity to better understand the physics related to multiferroïc materials and to consider possible applications.  相似文献

The spectrum of the Zn-like Kr VII ion, excited in a capillary discharge and recorded with a high resolution in the wavelength range of 300–1000 Å, was studied. Previously performed identification of the transitions from the levels of the 4s4f, 4s5s, 4s5p, and 4s5d configurations is confirmed and extended, and the energies of these levels are specified. The (4p 2+4s4d)?4p4d and (4p 2+4s5s)?4p5s transitions are identified for the first time, and the energies of all the levels of the 4p4d and 4p5s configurations are determined. The results of the analysis performed are confirmed by semiempirical calculations in terms of the Hartree-Fock method. These results are also shown to conform to the experimental data obtained for lighter ions of the Zn I isoelectronic sequence.  相似文献

We investigate both geometric and conformal field theoretic aspects of mirror symmetry on N=(4,4) superconformal field theories with central charge c=6. Our approach enables us to determine the action of mirror symmetry on (non-stable) singular fibers in elliptic fibrations of N orbifold limits of K3. The resulting map gives an automorphism of order 4,8, or 12, respectively, on the smooth universal covering space of the moduli space. We explicitly derive the geometric counterparts of the twist fields in our orbifold conformal field theories. The classical McKay correspondence allows for a natural interpretation of our results.  相似文献

The difference of vector and axial-vector charged current correlators is analyzed by means of QCD sum rules. The contribution of 10-dimensional 4-quark condensates is calculated and its value is estimated within the framework of the factorization hypothesis. It is compared to the result obtained from an operator fit of Borel sum rules in the complex q 2-plane, calculated from experimental data on hadronic -decays. This fit gives accurate values of the light quark condensate and the quark-gluon mixed condensate. The size of the high-order operators and the convergence of the operator series are discussed.Received: 10 May 2004, Revised: 7 September 2004, Published online: 18 November 2004  相似文献

We investigate the issues of future oscillations around the phantom divide (FOPD) for f(R) gravity. For this purpose, we introduce two types of energy density and pressure arisen from the f(R)-higher order curvature terms. One has the conventional energy density and pressure even in the beginning of the Jordan frame, whose continuity equation defines the native equation of state w DE. On the other hand, the other has the different energy density and pressure which do not obviously satisfy the continuity equation. This needs to introduce the effective equation of state w eff to describe the f(R)-fluid, in addition to the native equation of state [(w)\tilde]DE\tilde{w}_{\mathrm{DE}}. We show that the FOPD occur in f(R) gravities by introducing two types of equation of state. Finally, we point out that the singularity appears ar x=x c because the stability condition of f(R) gravity violates.  相似文献

In this paper, we reconstruct cosmological models in the framework of f(R,T) gravity, where R is the Ricci scalar and T is the trace of the stress-energy tensor. We show that the dust fluid reproduces ΛCDM, phantom–non-phantom era and phantom cosmology. Further, we reconstruct different cosmological models, including the Chaplygin gas, and scalar field with some specific forms of f(R,T). Our numerical simulation for the Hubble parameter shows good agreement with the BAO observational data for low redshifts, z<2.  相似文献

This paper contains the study of spherically symmetric perfect fluid collapse in the frame work of f(R, T) modified theory of gravity. We proceed our work by considering the non-static spherically symmetric background in the interior and static spherically symmetric background in the exterior regions of the star. The junction conditions between exterior and interior regions are presented by matching the exterior and interior regions. The field equations are solved by taking the assumptions that the Ricci scalar as well as the trace of energy-momentum tensor are to be constant, for a particular f(R, T) model. By inserting the solution of the field equations in junction conditions, we evaluate the gravitational mass of the collapsing system. Also, we discuss the apparent horizons and their time formation for different possible cases. It is concluded that the term f(R 0, T 0) behaves as a source of repulsive force and that’s why it slowdowns the collapse of the matter.  相似文献
