Decay properties of excited states in the151Nd and155Sm nuclei produced by 10 MeV douterons have been investigated with in-beam gamma-gamma-coincidence equipment during bombardment of the150Nd and154Sm targets. The results largely confirm the data obtained earlier for these nuclei. The (d, p γ) reaction channel favors population of odd-parity low-spin levels, whose energies follow the rule of regular band structure for well-deformed nuclei. The level schemes are interpreted with calculations using an axial particle-rotor model with a Woods-Saxon potential.  相似文献

Predictions for the low energy structure of well deformed odd-A Pm and Sm nuclei in the A ≈ 130 region are given, based on the particle-rotor model. Distinctive magnetic dipole properties (static moments and transition rates) are expected for certain Nilsson configurations, and comparisons to recent data are made for133Pm,135Sm and133Sm.  相似文献

Levels in the149Pm nucleus populated via149Nd decay were studied using the low temperature nuclear orientation technique. The parent149Nd nuclei were oriented in a gadolinium host. The normalized gamma-ray intensities were determined for twenty five transitions in the daughter149Pm nucleus. The spins of the149Pm levels at 288.2 and 425.3 keV were determined as 9/2 and 7/2, respectively, and for several other149Pm levels the previous spin-assignments could be unambiguously confirmed. Substantial new information on multipole mixing ratios of gamma-transitions in149Pm is presented. Low-energy level spacing in the149Pm nucleus is found to be in reasonable agreement with recent particle-rotor model calculations including the variable moment of inertia.  相似文献

It is demonstrated that level energies and pick-up spectroscopic factors for the low-spin negative-parity states in transitional N = 89 nuclei can be successfully described in the particle-rotor model with Nilsson single-particle orbitals, provided that both Coriolis and recoil effects are properly taken into account.  相似文献

It is shown that the cranking model normally gives a smaller rotation-aligned spin for an odd quasiparticle than the particle-rotor model, especially at low rotational frequencies. The basic reason is found to be that the rotational frequency vector of the cranking model is “sharp”. This is an unphysical model property, and in the presence of a particle whose rotational motion is partly decoupled from the rotational motion of the average field its consequences become serious. A “sharp” rotational frequency corresponds to a neglect of the recoil effect that establishes coherence between the motion of the decoupled nucleon and the other nucleons and therefore is a prerequisite for the conservation of angular momentum. In conclusion the cranking model cannot be invoked to explain the so-called “Coriolis attenuation”, relative to the particle-rotor model, that is observed experimentally. Particle-rotor calculations are carried out into the backbending region of some well-deformed rare-earth nuclei, and the results indicate that the “Coriolis attenuation” effect is weak or absent at high rotational frequencies. However, the experimental i132, unfavoured band of 167Yb is found to exhibit an anomalous “downbending” behaviour.  相似文献

利用三轴形变的粒子 转子模型讨论了A≈100和A≈130核区手征双重带.基于粒子空穴组态πh11/2 νh-111/2的计算很好地再现了A≈130核区N=75同中子素的手征双重带实验能谱.通过分析基于组态πg9/2 νg-19/2的约化跃迁几率B(E2)和B(M1)研究A≈100核区可能的手征双重带. The Chiral doublets for nuclei in A≈100 and 130 regions have been studied with the particle-rotor model. The experimental spectra of chiral partner bands for four N=75 isotones in A≈region have been well reproduced by the calculation with the configuration πh_(11/2)νh~(-1)_(11/2). The possible chiral doublets in A≈100 region have been predicted by the particle-rotor model (PRM) with the configuration πg_(9/2) νg~(-1)_(9/2) based on the analysis of the B(M1) and B(E2) transition probabilities.  相似文献

A new cluster decay process is proposed for the complex, intermediate mass fragments or “clusters” emitted in low energy nuclear reactions forming the excited light (A CN * ~ 60) and medium mass (A CN * ~ 110) nuclear systems. The complex fragments are shown to arise as multiple clusters of masses less than ~20 in medium mass nuclei or as complete mass spectra in light nuclei. For 116Ba*, 12C decay is still shown to be a preferred decay. The calculations for fragment production cross sections and total kinetic energies of fragments are presented for reactions leading to hot 56Ni and 116Ba nuclei.  相似文献

The approximate angular momentum projected Hartree-Fock(PDHF)method is used to some odd-A nuclei in the fp shell:47Ti,47V,47Cr,49Cr.Their energy spectra are calculated and compared with the experimental data.The results are fairly satisfactory.In addition,the characteristics of those spectra are analyzed with the particle-rotor model.It is found that those spectra possess the properties of the no alignment limit Spectra.  相似文献

Thesdg interacting boson model (sdgIBM), which includes monopole (s), quadrupole (d) and hexadecupole (g) degrees of freedom, enables one to analyze hexadecupole (E4) properties of atomic nuclei. Various aspects of the model, both analytical and numerical, are reviewed emphasizing the symmetry structures involved. A large number of examples are given to provide understanding and tests, and to demonstrate the predictiveness of thesdg model. Extensions of the model to include proton-neutron degrees of freedom and fermion degrees of freedom (appropriate for odd mass nuclei) are briefly described. A comprehensive account ofsdgIBM analysis of all the existing data on hexadecupole observables (mainly in the rare-earth region) is presented, includingβ 4 (hexadecupole deformation) systematics,B(IS4; 0 GS + →4 γ + ) systematics that give information about hexadecupole component in γ-vibration,E4 matrix elements involving few low-lying 4+ levels,E4 strength distributions and hexadecupole vibrational bands in deformed nuclei. The ability of optical pumping to produce nuclear orientation and the advent of single frequency tunable dye lasers has brought about a new interesting area of study, Laser Induced Nuclear Orientation (LINO). The impact of LINO on the nuclear structure studies of short lived nuclei along with a discussion on various relaxation mechanisms involved are presented. The Gamow-Teller strength distributions for the β decay of the ground state as well as the lowest excited states of the rp-process waiting point nuclei 68Se and 72Kr are obtained within the complex Excited Vampir variational approach using realistic effective interactions and a rather large model space. The shape mixing is consistently described for both the states in the even-even parent and the states in the odd-odd daugther nucleus. The influence of the shape mixing accounted by the different effective interactions used and comparison with the available data are presented. The possible influence of the decay of the lowest excited states of the parent nuclei in the astrophysical environment of X-ray bursts is discussed.Gamow-Teller strength distributions, β-decay half-lives, and β-delayed neutron emission probabilities for neutron-rich Zr nuclei are investigated for the first time within the complex Excited Vampir approach using a large model space. Interaction radii for 11,12,14Be and 8,12,13,14,15B have been determined by the measurement of interaction cross sections at 790 MeV/nucleon. Effective root-mean-square (RMS) radii of nucleon distribution of these nuclei have been deduced using a Glauber-model calculation. Isospin dependence of nuclear radii are presented for isobars of mass numbers from 6 to 12, and compared with theoretical predictions by the droplet model and by a Hartree-Fock (HF) model. The HF model with the Skyrme-III potential, which includes a strong density-dependent force, reproduce the observed isospin dependence.  相似文献

On-line low temperature nuclear orientation measurements were performed on shortlived185Au,186Au,189mAu,191mHg implanted in an iron matrix. As decay products185IrFe and191mAuFe were studied too. Besides magnetic moment determinations spectroscopic information on spin values of excited levels and mixing ratios of transitions in the daughter nuclei Pt and Au are presented. The level structures populated in alpha decay of all odd-Z-even-N nuclei withZ=(83–93) andN=(126–142) up to 500 keV are presented. More data on the 4n+3 nuclear sequences are given from215Bi to235Np. Particular emphasis is placed on the hindrance factors to alpha decay in interpreting the level structures in term of the shell model, the octupole-quadrupole model and the Nilsson model. The level structures and the hindrance factors go through transition region in which mixtures of the properties of two different nuclear models are appropriate. These transition regions represent a challenge to nuclear theorists to develop more all-encompassing nuclear models.  相似文献
