We prove a coordinatization theorem for noncommutative Jordan superalgebras of degree n > 2, describing such algebras. It is shown that the symmetrized Jordan superalgebra for a simple finite-dimensional noncommutative Jordan superalgebra of characteristic 0 and degree n > 1 is simple. Modulo a “nodal” case, we classify central simple finite-dimensional noncommutative Jordan superalgebras of characteristic 0.  相似文献

Due to the fact that in the case q > 1 the q-Bernstein polynomials are no longer positive linear operators on C[0, 1], the study of their convergence properties turns out to be essentially more difficult than that for q < 1. In this paper, new saturation theorems related to the convergence of q-Bernstein polynomials in the case q > 1 are proved.  相似文献

Let G be a finite group. We define the prime graph Γ(G) as follows. The vertices of Γ(G) are the primes dividing the order of G and two distinct vertices p, q are joined by an edge if there is an element in G of order pq. Recently M. Hagie [5] determined finite groups G satisfying Γ(G) = Γ(S), where S is a sporadic simple group. Let p > 3 be a prime number. In this paper we determine finite groups G such that Γ(G) = Γ(PSL(2, p)). As a consequence of our results we prove that if p > 11 is a prime number and p ≢ 1 (mod 12), then PSL(2, p) is uniquely determined by its prime graph and so these groups are characterizable by their prime graph. In this paper, we propose approximations to compute the steady-state performance measures of the M/GI/N+GI queue receiving Poisson arrivals with N identical servers, and general service and abandonment-time distributions. The approximations are based on scaling a single server M/GI/1+GI queue. For problems involving deterministic and exponential abandon times distributions, we suggest a practical way to compute the waiting time distributions and their moments using the Laplace transform of the workload density function. Our first contribution is numerically computing the workload density function in the M/GI/1+GI queue when the abandon times follow general distributions different from the deterministic and exponential distributions. Then we compute the waiting time distributions and their moments. Next, we scale-up the M/GI/1+GI queue giving rise to our approximations to capture the behavior of the multi-server system. We conduct extensive numerical experiments to test the speed and performance of the approximations, which prove the accuracy of their predictions.   相似文献

Let S be a pomonoid and I a proper right ideal of S. In a previous paper, using the amalgamated coproduct A(I) of two copies of S S over I, we were able to solve one of the problems posed in S. Bulman-Fleming et al. (Commun. Algebra 34:1291–1317, 2006). In the present paper, we investigate further flatness properties of A(I). We also solve another problem stated in the paper cited above. Certain -modules related to the kernels ofincidence maps between types in the poset defined by the natural productorder on the set of n-tuples with entries from {1, ,m} are studied as linear codes (whencoefficients are extended to an arbitrary field K). Theirdimensions and minimal weights are computed. The Specht modules areextremal among these submodules. The minimum weight codewords of theSpecht module are shown to be scalar multiples of polytabloids. Ageneralization of t-design arising from the natural permutationS n-modules labelled by partitions with mparts is introduced. In this note we study the relation between k R -spaces and k-spaces and prove that a k R -space with a σ-hereditarily closure-preserving k-network consisting of compact subsets is a k-space, and that a k R -space with a point-countable k-network consisting of compact subsets need not be a k-space. In this paper, we give the eigenvalues of the manifold Sp(n)/U(n). We prove that an eigenvalue λ s (f 2, f 2, …, f n ) of the Lie group Sp(n), corresponding to the representation with label (f 1, f 2, ..., f n ), is an eigenvalue of the manifold Sp(n)/U(n), if and only if f 1, f 2, …, f n are all even.  相似文献

In this note, we find a monomial basis of the cyclotomic Hecke algebra \({\mathcal{H}_{r,p,n}}\) of G(r,p,n) and show that the Ariki-Koike algebra \({\mathcal{H}_{r,n}}\) is a free module over \({\mathcal{H}_{r,p,n}}\), using the Gröbner-Shirshov basis theory. For each irreducible representation of \({\mathcal{H}_{r,p,n}}\), we give a polynomial basis consisting of linear combinations of the monomials corresponding to cozy tableaux of a given shape.  相似文献

Let ƒ be a transcendental meromorphic function, a a nonzero finite complex number, and n ⩾ 2 a positive integer. Then ƒ + a(ƒ′) n assumes every complex value infinitely often. This answers a question of Ye for n = 2. A related normality criterion is also given.
