The elastic scattering process for 11Be ions impinging on a 209Bi target was studied in the energy range around the Coulomb barrier. The angular distributions of the 11Be scattered particles were analyzed within the optical model framework in order to evaluate the reaction cross section, which turned out to be much larger than the fusion one, especially in the sub-barrier region. The comparison with the system 9Be + 209Bi showed that the reaction cross section is larger for the reaction 11Be + 209Bi in the energy range around the Coulomb barrier, while they are rather similar at higher bombarding energies. This result suggests that direct processes related to the 11Be halo structure and lower binding energy are more relevant at near-barrier energies.  相似文献

Elastic scattering angular distributions have been measured for 7Be + 9Be system at Elab = 17, 19 and 21 MeV in the angular range θcm=26–58°, and for 7Li + 9Be system at Elab= 15.75, 24 and 30 MeV. An optical model (OM) analysis of these data have been carried out. For the 7Li + 9Be system fusion cross sections were obtained at Elab = 15.75, 24 and 30 MeV by measuring the α-evaporation spectra from the compound nucleus at backward angles. The measured α-evaporation spectra were reproduced by the statistical model calculations and fusion cross sections were extracted therefrom. The ratios of the experimental fusion cross sections to the total reaction cross sections (obtained form OM analysis) were found to be rather small. This result suggests that break-up process has a strong influence on fusion process leading to a reduction in fusion cross section.  相似文献

The 10,11Be(p, p) and (12C, 12C) reactions were analyzed to determine the influence of the weak binding energies of exotic nuclei on their interaction potential. The elastic cross sections were measured at GANIL in inverse kinematics using radioactive 10,11Be beams produced at energies of 39.1A   and 38.4A MeV38.4A MeV. The elastic proton scattering data were analyzed within the framework of the microscopic Jeukenne–Lejeune–Mahaux (JLM) nucleon–nucleus potential. The angular distributions are found to be best reproduced by reducing the real part of the microscopic optical potential, as a consequence of the coupling to the continuum. These effects modify deeply the elastic potential. Including the Virtual Coupling Potential (VCP), we show the ability of the general optical potentials to reproduce the data for scattering of unstable nuclei, using realistic densities. Finally, the concepts needed to develop a more general and microscopic approach of the VCP are discussed.  相似文献

Using the framework of the coupled reaction channels (CRC) the elastic scattering and the elastic transfer in the system 6He + 4He measured at E = 151 MeV have been analysed. It is shown that the structure observed in the backward range of the angular distributions is influenced by the interference of the elastic 2n-transfer with a two-step process passing through the 2+ excitation in 6He. The two-neutron transfer mechanism is studied in the microscopic approach and it is found that for the ground-state transition the one step dominates by a factor 10 over the two-step mechanism at this energy. Based on an α-particle model of 12C, an optical potential for intermediate-energy proton- 12C scattering is presented in the framework of the KMT theory. The parameterized proton- 4He amplitude, the required basic input for constructing the optical potential, is obtained by fitting the proton- 4He scattering data. The differential cross-sections and analyzing powers of the proton- 12C elastic scattering at incident energies ranging from 0.2 to 1.0GeV have been calculated by using the obtained optical potential. The main features of the measured angular distributions of the cross-section and the analyzing power can be satisfactorily described. The proton- 12C total cross-sections have also been calculated, and the results are in good agreement with the experimental data at energies below 0.6GeV but underestimate the data about 6% at higher energies.  相似文献

It is found that the scattering of the fragile nucleus 6Li from 12C and 16O is unexpectedly transparent. It is shown that the internal-wave contribution is significantly large in the scattering, which suggests that some transparency could persist in the scattering involving the fragile nucleus 6He.  相似文献

In the framework of the Glauber multiple-scattering theory, the elastic collisions of proton-proton (pp) at the center-of-mass energies = 23.5, 30.7, 44.7, and 52.8 GeV and alpha-proton (p) at = 88 and 89 GeV are analyzed by considering the quark structure of their constituents. The differential cross-section containing the full multiple-scattering series between their quarks is calculated using Gaussian forms for the quark density and quark-quark (QQ) scattering amplitudes. The results obtained from the quark model and the conventional nucleon model are compared with the experimental data. The comparison shows that the nucleon model reproduces the experimental data more satisfactorily than the quark model, and both approaches have limited success in describing the data at such energies. The agreement with the experimental data is improved by the inclusion of the phase variation.  相似文献

Pure elastic and inelastic scattering cross sections have been measured for the systems 58Ni +90,94Zr at energies near the Coulomb barrier where not only quasi-elastic and fusion but also deep-inelastic process come into play. Coupled channels calculations including both projectile and target inelastic excitations can successfully explain the elastic and inelastic scattering angular distributions with an energy-independent semi-empirical bare potential. The calculation reproduces also the sum of the total quasi-elastic, fusion and deep-inelastic cross sections. Received: 14 September 1998 / Revised version: 21 October 1998  相似文献

The study of deeply virtual Compton scattering (DVCS) has shown that electromagnetic gauge invariance requires, to leading order, not only twist-two but additional twist-three contributions. We apply this analysis and, using the Ellis-Furmanski-Petronzio factorization scheme, compute the single- (electron) spin asymmetry arising in the collision of longitudinally polarized electrons with hadrons up to twist-3 accuracy. In order to simplify the kinematics we restrict the actual calculation to pions in the chiral limit. The process is described in terms of the generalized parton distribution functions which we obtain within a bag model framework. Received: 7 November 2001 / Accepted: 25 February 2002  相似文献

We present a simple method which enables us to identify the occurence of a forward glory in heavy ion scattering data. The method is successfully applied to the elastic scattering data of 12C (65 MeV), 13C (60 MeV), 15N (85 MeV) and 16O (75 MeV) on 28Si. This study has been developed for electron-proton scattering experiments when only the scattered electrons are detected. Pion electroproduction on the proton including the cascade π0→ 2γ decay and the QED radiative corrections to elastic ep scattering are investigated. Our results are shown in the kinematical configuration of the parity violating electron scattering experiment planned at the Mainz Microtron (MAMI). The 9Be and 9B nuclei are investigated in a microscopic three-cluster model involving α + α + n (or α + α + p) configurations. The 8Be (0 + , 2 + ) + n and 5He (3/2 - , 1/2 - ) + α (or mirror) channels are included by taking account of the unstable nature of 8Be and 5He. Spectroscopic properties of 9Be and 9B are analyzed. We show that the 5He + α configurations cannot be neglected to derive accurate results. The 9Be(γ,αα)n photodisintegration cross-section is shown to be mainly determined by 8Be + n channels at low energies, but 5He + α channels become important beyond E γ≈ 4 MeV. The fusion of 6He with a 209Bi target displays a large enhancement at energies near to and below the Coulomb barrier. Recently, a 4He group of remarkable intensity, which dominates the total reaction cross-section, has also been observed in the near-barrier interaction of the same system. It is argued that this transfer/breakup channel acts as a doorway state to fusion. Received: 1 May 2001 / Accepted: 4 December 2001  相似文献

The measurements of energy loss distributions obtained in electron scattering experiments at high momentum transfer are presented for Xe, Ar and methane. The spectra show a large variety of intensity distributions, clearly different from those obtained in measurements at the dipole limit. The fraction of the intensity present in the energy loss distribution compared to the elastic peak is significant, but is in line with the reduction of the elastic cross section due to absorption. It is argued that, if similar effects are present in the condensed phase, they should be dealt with in any quantitative analysis of electron transport in matter, as is often done using Monte Carlo simulations. This argument is worked out in some detail for Reflection Electron Energy Loss Spectroscopy.  相似文献

The results of the evaluation of the viscosity cross-section for elastic electron-xenon collisions, taking into account the spin-orbit interaction of the continuum electron, in the energy interval from 0.1 eV to 50 eV are presented and discussed. The calculations are performed on the basis of three theoretically derived sets of phase shift data obtained by different authors and on the deduced relativistic expression for the viscosity cross-section in terms of phase shifts discerning the spin-up and spin-down states of the scattered electrons. Comparison with viscosity cross-sections, as evaluated from non-relativistic phase shifts extracted from experiments, strongly favours the relativistic results. The assumption of isotropic scattering is critically examined and the error induced by its use is shown to persist to the same extent as in non-relativistic calculations, at least in the energy region considered. We present a theoretical calculation finding that a spectrum from ion beam analysis will change at different stopping cross sections. This is more visible at a deeper place in the sample. Helium-contained Ti films annealed at different temperatures are prepared to gain different stopping cross sections whereby the stopping cross section will change with the helium phase states and the pressure of helium bubbles. Then ion beam analysis is used to measure the concentration of helium. It is found that the concentration curve rises greatly after the sample is annealed at 673K which reflects the increasing size of the helium bubble. The results axe consistent with that of positron annihilation radiation spectra which are performed by using a changeable energy positron beam.  相似文献

In this article, we study resonances and surface waves in π+–p scattering. We focus on the sequence whose spin-parity values are given by . A widely-held belief takes for granted that this sequence can be connected by a moving pole in the complex angular momentum (CAM)-plane, which gives rise to a linear trajectory of the form , which is the standard expression of the Regge pole trajectory. But the phenomenology shows that only the first few resonances lie on a trajectory of this type. For higher Jp this rule is violated and is substituted by the relation JkR, where k is the pion-nucleon c.m.s. momentum, and R1 fm. In this article we prove: (a) Starting from a non-relativistic model of the proton, regarded as composed by three quarks confined by harmonic potentials, we prove that the first three members of this π+–p resonance sequence can be associated with a vibrational spectrum of the proton generated by an algebra . Accordingly, these first three members of the sequence can be described by Regge poles and lie on a standard linear trajectory. (b) At higher energies the amplitudes are dominated by diffractive scattering, and the creeping waves play a dominant role. They can be described by a second class of poles, which can be called Sommerfeld’s poles, and lie on a line nearly parallel to the imaginary axis of the CAM-plane. (c) The Sommerfeld’s pole which is closest to the real axis of the CAM-plane is dominant at large angles, and describes in a proper way the backward diffractive peak in both the following cases: at fixed k, as a function of the scattering angle, and at fixed scattering angle θ=π, as a function of k. (d) The evolution of this pole, as a function of k, is given in first approximation by JkR.  相似文献
