The scalar products of polarization tensor and unit vectors are presented explicitly in spherical coordinate system expanded in terms of spherical harmonic functions. By applying the obtained formulae, different wave components in the Salpeter wave function can be shown explicitly, and the results are consistent with the results obtained by LS coupling analysis. The cancelation formula is given, by which the terms with pure L = J + 1 wave components in the Salpeter wave function for the bound state with hP=(-1)J\eta_{\rm P}=(-1)^J can be obtained by separating the L = J − 1 wave components from mixing terms. This separation provides the basis for studying higher-order contributions from the coupling of L = J − 1 and J + 1 wave states, and for solving the Salpeter equation exactly without approximation.  相似文献

A three-dimensional model of the double-slot coupled cavity slow-wave structure(CCSWS) with a solid round electron beam for the beam–wave interaction is presented. Based on the "cold" dispersion, the "hot" dispersion equation is derived with the Maxwell equations by using the variable separation method and the field-matching method. Through numerical calculations, the effects of the electron beam parameters and the staggered angle between adjacent walls on the linear gain are analyzed.  相似文献

A highly efficient high-order boundary element method is developed for the numerical simulation of nonlinear wave–wave and wave-body interactions in the context of potential flow. The method is based on the framework of the quadratic boundary element method (QBEM) for the boundary integral equation and uses the pre-corrected fast Fourier transform (PFFT) algorithm to accelerate the evaluation of far-field influences of source and/or normal dipole distributions on boundary elements. The resulting PFFT–QBEM reduces the computational effort of solving the associated boundary-value problem from O(N2~3) (with the traditional QBEM) to O(N ln N) where N represents the total number of boundary unknowns. Significantly, it allows for reliable computations of nonlinear hydrodynamics useful in ship design and marine applications, which are forbidden with the traditional methods on the presently available computing platforms. The formulation and numerical issues in the development and implementation of the PFFT–QBEM are described in detail. The characteristics of accuracy and efficiency of the PFFT–QBEM for various boundary-value problems are studied and compared to those of the existing accelerated (lower- and higher-order) boundary element methods. To illustrate the usefulness of the PFFT–QBEM, it is applied to solve the initial boundary-value problem in the generation of three-dimensional nonlinear waves by a moving ship hull. The predicted wave profile and resistance on the ship are compared to available experimental measurements with satisfactory agreements.  相似文献

When background gas is present in pulsed laser–material interaction, a shock wave down to the nanoscale will emerge. The background gas will affect the phase change and explosion in the target. This study is focused on the void dynamics and stress wave in a model material (argon crystal) under picosecond pulsed laser irradiation. Our results show that existence of ambient gas and the shock wave significantly suppresses the void formation and their lifetime. Void dynamics, including their growing rate, lifetime, and size under the influence of ambient gas are studied in detail. All the voids undergo an accelerating and decelerating process in the growth. The collapsing process is almost symmetrical to the growing process. Higher laser fluence is found to induce an obvious foamy structure. Stress wave formation and propagation, temperature contour, and target and gas atom number densities are studied to reveal the underlying physical processes. Although the interaction of the plume with ambient gas significantly suppresses the void formation and phase explosion, no obvious effect is found on the stress wave within the target. Very interestingly, secondary stress waves resulting from re-deposition of ablated atoms and void collapse are observed, although their magnitude is much smaller than the directly laser-induced stress wave.  相似文献

The characteristics of a spin-wave neutron interferometer comprising two parallel magnetic mirrors located in noncollinear to the magnetizations of the mirrors are investigated. The device can be used to study the properties of the neutron wave packet and measure the time and spatial correlations of material densities in the medium and on the surface. The interferometer’s sensitivity and the observed neutron coherence length are estimated using experimental data. The possible applications of neutron spin-echo spectrometry based on the two-mirror interferometer are discussed.  相似文献

A complete discrimination system for the fourth order polynomial is given. As an application, we have reduced a (1+1)-dimensional dispersive long wave equation with general coefficients to an elementary integral form and obtained its all possible exact travelling wave solutions including rational function type solutions, solitary wave solutions, triangle function type periodic solutions and Jacobian elliptic functions double periodic solutions. Using the extended homogeneous balance method,the (1 1)-dimensional dispersive long-wave equations have been solved.Starting from the homogeneous balance method,we have obtained a nonlinear transformation for simplifying a dispersive long-wave equation into a linear partial differential equation.Usually,we can obtain only a type of soliton-like solution.In this paper,we have further found some new multi-soliton solutions and exact travelling solutions of the dispersive long-wave equations from the linear partial equation.  相似文献

We treat the particle motion in Stokes’ linear edge wave along a uniformly sloping beach. By a rotation of the coordinate frame, we show that there is no particle motion in the direction orthogonal to the sloping beach, and conclude that particles have a longshore drift in the direction of wave propagation which decreases with depth and distance from the shoreline. We discuss the application of this rotated coordinate frame to higher mode (Ursell) and weakly nonlinear (Whitham) edge waves, and show that the weakly nonlinear case is identical to that for two-dimensional deep-water Stokes waves.  相似文献

On the surface of 128° yx-LiNbO3 substrate, two pairs of Inter-Digital Transducers (IDTs) are parallelly arranged in the propagation direction, which is a stator of surface acoustic wave (SAW) rotary motors. A plastic disk with small balls distributed around the circumference is a rotor. When a high frequency voltage is inputted to two IDTs, two Rayleigh wave beams are generated and are propagating on the substrate in opposite directions with each other. The resulting local relative motion between the particles of the stator and the balls produces two inverse frictional forces to form a moment to drive the rotor. The experimental results and theoretical analysis and calculation for two operating frequencies are accomplished and discussed.  相似文献

The quasi-continuous wave Titanium-doped sapphire laser pumped by a frequency-dou-bled YAG laser developed in Tianjin University has been achieved new advance. Abstract

Correlations in Gaussian speckle patterns are discussed for the intensity and the phase, as well as for the real and imaginary parts of the wavefunction. Application of the sampling theorem to the wave field is described, and five topologically mandated deterministic rules are enumerated that constrain many aspects of the field structure. In this paper, we propose a method of digital in-line holography of particle. A diverging spherical beam is used for illumination in recording hologram, the complex amplitude distribution generated by particle field at a single plane located in the Fresnel diffraction region is recorded by CCD, and a plane beam for reconstructing hologram, then, the magnified image can be obtained by numerical reconstruction in computer. This procedure can be interpreted by Fourier optical theory and the theoretical analysis have been done in detail, the experimental results, the air freshener being subject, are also given.  相似文献

We discuss the relationship between bosonic stimulation, density fluctuations, and matter wave gratings. It is shown that enhanced stimulated scattering, matter wave amplification, and atomic four-wave mixing do not require macroscopic occupation of a single quantum state. These processes are in principle possible for fermionic or nondegenerate samples, if they are prepared in a cooperative state. In practice, there are limitations due to short coherence times.  相似文献

The decay of a discontinuity in a two-component homogeneous gas mixture and the dispersion of a gas–particle mixture with a two-component carrier medium are numerically simulated. The mathematical model of the dynamics of heterogeneous media takes into account the interphase force interaction and interphase heat exchange. Experimental results known from the literature are compared with numerical results describing the dispersion of a gas–particle mixture in a shock tube.  相似文献
