Let R be a local, Gorenstein ring with algebraically closed residue field k of characteristic 0 and let P R (z):= Σ p=0 dim k (Tor p R (k, k))z p be its Poincaré series. We compute P R when R belongs to a particular class defined in the Introduction, proving its rationality. As a by-product we prove the rationality of P R for all local, Gorenstein rings of multiplicity at most 10.  相似文献

Let B be a Blaschke product with simple zeros in the unit disk, let Λ be the set of its zeros, and let ϕ∈H. It is known that ϕ+BH is a weak* generator of the algebra H/BH if (for B that satisfy the Carleson condition (C)) and only if the sequence ϕ(Λ) is a weak* generator of the algebra l. In this paper, we show that for any Blaschke product B with simple zeros that does not satisfy condition (C), there exists B=B1·…·BN, where N ∈ℕ, and B1, …, BN are Blaschke products satisfying condition (C), there exists a function ϕ∈H such that ϕ(Λ) is a weak* generator of the algebra l, and ϕ+BH is not a weak* generator of the algebra H/BH. We establish a new theorem on the pathwise uniqueness of solutions for the equation under a weaker condition than the Lipschitz one. The result concerning the one-parameter analogue of the problem we consider here is immediate (see [1, Theorem 3.2]). Unfortunately, the situation is much more complicated for two-parameter process and we believe that our result is the first one of its kind and is interesting in itself. By considering all surfaces and their mapping class groups at once, it is shown that the classifying space of the stable mapping class group after plus construction, BΓ +, has the homotopy type of an infinite loop space. The main new tool is a generalized group completion theorem for simplicial categories. The first deloop of BΓ + coincides with that of Miller [M] induced by the pairs of pants multiplication. The classical representation of the mapping class group onto Siegel's modular group is shown to induce a map of infinite loop spaces from BΓ + to K-theory. It is then a direct consequence of a theorem by Charney and Cohen [CC] that there is a space Y such that BΓ +≃Im J (1/2)×Y, where Im J (1/2) is the image of J localized away from the prime 2. LetR * G be a crossed product of the finite groupG over the ringR. In this paper we discuss the relationship between the prime ideals ofR*G and theG-prime ideals ofR. In particular, we show that Incomparability and Going Down hold in this situation. In the course of the proof, we actually completely describe all the prime idealsP ofR*G such thatPR is a fixedG-prime ideal ofR. As an application, we prove that ifG is a finite group of automorphisms ofR, then the prime (primitive) ranks ofR and of the fixed ringR G are equal provided •G•R. In an appendix, we extend some of these 3 results to crossed products of the infinite cyclic group.  相似文献

Let F n be the free group of rank n, and let Aut+(F n ) be its special automorphism group. For an epimorphism π : F n G of the free group F n onto a finite group G we call the standard congruence subgroup of Aut+(F n ) associated to G and π. In the case n = 2 we fully describe the abelianization of Γ+(G, π) for finite abelian groups G. Moreover, we show that if G is a finite non-perfect group, then Γ+(G, π) ≤ Aut+(F 2) has infinite abelianization.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove the almost sure central limit theorem (ASCLT) and the function-typed almost sure central limit theorem (FASCLT) for the random function Tn. As a consequence, it can be shown that ASCLT and FASCLT also hold for U-statistics, Von-Mises statistics, linear processes, moving average processes, error variance estimates in linear models, power sums, product-limit estimators of a continuous distribution, product-limit estimators of a quantile function, etc.  相似文献

Letg be a positive continuous function onR which tends to zero at −∞ and which is not integrable overR. The boundary-value problem −u″+g(u)=f, u′(±∞)=0, is considered forfL 1(R). We show that this problem can have a solution if and only ifg is integrable at −∞ and if this is so then the problem is solvable precisely when ∫ −∞ . Some extensions of this result are also given. Let p be a prime and let 1 ≤ a ≤ p − 1. In the paper, an asymptotics for the sum over a of the moments of order α (0 < α < 1) of the sequence of elements of the expansion of a/p into a continued fraction is obtained. As a corollary, an upper bound for the number of those a whose expansions contain at least one element larger than log λ p (λ > 1) is derived. Note that in the case considered, the set of elements has no limiting distribution as p → ∞, which is in contrast with the case of rational fractions b/c, where (b, c) = 1 and b2 + c2 ≤ R2 (R → ∞). SupposeΩis a bounded open subset in the complex plane whose complement has finitely many components and suppose Rat(Ω) is dense in the Hardy space H2(Ω). Letσdenote a harmonic measure forΩ. In this work, we characterize all subnormal operators quasi-similar to Sσ, the operators of the multiplication by z on R2(Ω,σ). We show that for a given v supported onΩ, Sv is quasi-similar to Sσif and only if v/■Ω■σ and log(dv/dσ)∈L1(σ). Our result extends a well-known result of Clary on the unit disk.  相似文献

In this paper we study dense inverse subsemigroups of topological inverse semigroups. We construct a topological inverse semigroup from a semilattice. Finally, we give two examples of the closure of B ( −∞, ∞ )1, a topological inverse semigroup obtained by starting with the real numbers as a semilattice with the operation a b=sup{a,b}. In this article we study the exponential behavior of the continuous stochastic Anderson model, i.e. the solution of the stochastic partial differential equation u(t,x)=1+0tκΔxu (s,x) ds+0t W(ds,x) u (s,x), when the spatial parameter x is continuous, specifically xR, and W is a Gaussian field on R+×R that is Brownian in time, but whose spatial distribution is widely unrestricted. We give a partial existence result of the Lyapunov exponent defined as limt→∞t−1 log u(t,x). Furthermore, we find upper and lower bounds for lim supt→∞t−1 log u(t,x) and lim inft→∞t−1 log u(t,x) respectively, as functions of the diffusion constant κ which depend on the regularity of W in x. Our bounds are sharper, work for a wider range of regularity scales, and are significantly easier to prove than all previously known results. We show the existence and uniqueness of the (asymptotically) almost periodic solution to parabolic evolution equations with inhomogeneous boundary values on \mathbbR{\mathbb{R}} and \mathbbR±\mathbb{R}_{\pm}, if the data are (asymptotically) almost periodic. We assume that the underlying homogeneous problem satisfies the ‘Acquistapace–Terreni’ conditions and has an exponential dichotomy. If there is an exponential dichotomy only on half intervals ( − ∞, − T] and [T, ∞), then we obtain a Fredholm alternative of the equation on \mathbbR{\mathbb{R}} in the space of functions being asymptotically almost periodic on \mathbbR+{\mathbb{R}}_{+} and \mathbbR-\mathbb{R}_{-}.  相似文献

In this paper we investigate Riesz transforms R μ (k) of order k≥1 related to the Bessel operator Δμ f(x)=-f”(x)-((2μ+1)/x)f’(x) and extend the results of Muckenhoupt and Stein for the conjugate Hankel transform (a Riesz transform of order one). We obtain that for every k≥1, R μ (k) is a principal value operator of strong type (p,p), p∈(1,∞), and weak type (1,1) with respect to the measure dλ(x)=x 2μ+1dx in (0,∞). We also characterize the class of weights ω on (0,∞) for which R μ (k) maps L p (ω) into itself and L 1(ω) into L 1,∞(ω) boundedly. This class of weights is wider than the Muckenhoupt class of weights for the doubling measure dλ. These weighted results extend the ones obtained by Andersen and Kerman.  相似文献
