The paper deals with the early stage of impact of a solid cylindrical body on the surface of a cylindrical cavity for zero and non-zero gap between the cavity surface and the body surface. As a result, the stated mixed non-stationary boundary value problem with the unknown variable in the time boundary is formulated. Its solution is reduced to a joint solution of an infinite system of linear integral Volterra equations of the second kind and the differential equation of the body movement. In the case of simplified formulation, the solution is reduced to the infinite sequence of the linear integral Volterra equations. Hydrodynamic and kinematic characteristics are also obtained.  相似文献

The self-similar singular solution of the fast diffusion equation with nonlinear gradient absorption terms are studied. By a self-similar transformation, the self-similar solutions satisfy a boundary value problem of nonlinear ordinary differential equation (ODE). Using the shooting arguments, the existence and uniqueness of the solution to the initial data problem of the nonlinear ODE are investigated, and the solutions are classified by the region of the initial data. The necessary and sufficient condition for the existence and uniqueness of self-similar very singular solutions is obtained by investigation of the classification of the solutions. In case of existence, the self-similar singular solution is very singular solution.  相似文献

A Volterra series analysis is used to analyse the dispersive behaviour in the frequency domain for the non-linear Schrödinger equation (NLS). It is shown that the solution of the initial value problem for the nonlinear Schrödinger equation admits a local multi-input Volterra series representation. Higher order spatial frequency responses of the nonlinear Schrödinger equation can therefore be defined in a similar manner as for lumped parameter non-linear systems. A systematic procedure is presented to calculate these higher order spatial frequency response functions analytically. The frequency domain behaviour of the equation, subject to Gaussian initial waves, is then investigated to reveal a variety of non-linear phenomena such as self-phase modulation (SPM), cross-phase modulation (CPM), and Raman effects modelled using the NLS.  相似文献

本文讨论了一类简化的Signorini问题。首先将原问题和一个边值问题建立联系,其次将原问题的解分解为不带不等边界条件的变分方程的解和一个变分不等式的解。然后利用边值问题的边界积分方程将变分不等式等价地化解为边界变分不等式。这样原求区域上的第一类椭圆变分不等式问题化解为求一个区域上的变分方程和一个边界变分不等式。最后说明了边界变分不等式解的存在唯一性。文末计算了柱面和半无限刚性基础的摩擦接触问题。结论表明文中方法具有较好的精度。  相似文献

Steady flow of a viscous incompressible fluid in a channel, driven by suction or injection of the fluid through the channel walls, is investigated. The velocity equation of this problem is reduced to nonlinear ordinary differential equation with two boundary conditions by appropriate transformation and convert the two‐point boundary‐value problem for the similarity function into an initial‐value problem in which the position of the upper channel. Then obtained differential equation is solved analytically using differential transformation method and compare with He's variational iteration method and numerical solution. These methods can be easily extended to other linear and nonlinear equations and so can be found widely applicable in engineering and sciences. Copyright © 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

在圆形三向网架非线性动力学基本方程的基础上,用拟壳法给出了圆底扁球面三向网壳的非线性动力学基本方程.在固定边界条件下,引入了异于等厚度壳的无量纲量,对基本方程和边界条件进行无量纲化,通过Galerkin作用得到了一个含二次、三次的非线性动力学方程.为求Melnikov函数,对一类非线性动力系统的自由振动方程进行了求解,得到了此类问题的准确解.在无激励情况下,讨论了稳定性问题.在外激励情况下,通过求Melnikov函数,给出了可能发生混沌运动的条件.通过数字仿真绘出了平面相图,证实了混沌运动的存在.  相似文献

In this paper, higher order frequency response functions, based on the Volterra series, are employed to characterise the input-output behaviour of the non-linear viscous Burgers?? equation subject to sinusoidal excitation. First, a formal Volterra series representation for each spatial location is derived for the solution of Burgers?? equation with a boundary condition as the input to the system. Then a systematic method is presented to obtain the higher order frequency kernels of the Volterra series at each spatial location by solving a series of ordinary differential equations. It is shown that the convergence region of the individual harmonics with respect to the magnitude of the input excitation can be estimated by using these higher order kernels. The frequency characteristics of Burgers?? equation is investigated and compared with numerical simulation.  相似文献

In this pepar we consider the upwind difference scheme of a kind of boundary value problems for nonlinear, second order, ordinary differential equations. Singular perturbation method is applied to construct the asymptotic approximation of the solution to the upwind difference equation. Using the theory of exponential dichotomies we show that the solution of an order-reduced equation is a good approximation of the solution to the upwind difference equation except near boundaries. We construct correctors which yield asymptotic approximations by adding them to the solution of the order-reduced equation. Finally, some numerical examples are illustrated.  相似文献

The first boundary value problem of nonlinear theory of steady-state creep with powerlaw relationship between the stresses and the strain rates is considered for a half-space under conditions of antiplane (out-of-plane) deformation when tangential distributed forces are given on the half-space boundary. 对高维非线性初值问题,微分求积法在每一步的积分过程中需要求解一个更高维的非线性方程组,因而计算量巨大。基于微分求积法与边界值方法两者之间的关系,可以将广义向后差分方法和扩展的隐式梯形积分方法看作是经典微分求积法的稀疏表达形式。将广义向后差分方法以及扩展的隐式梯形积分方法这两类边界值方法应用于微分动力系统的数值计算,提出了一类新的数值计算方法。理论分析及算例结果表明,对高维非线性微分初值问题的数值计算,本文方法相对于经典的微分求积法具有更高的计算效率。  相似文献

In this paper, the shape problem of interface of bicomponent flows between two concentric rotating cylinders is investigated. With tensor analysis, the problem is reduced to an energy functional isoperimetric problem when neglecting the effects of the dissipative energy caused by viscosity. We derive the associated Euler-Lagrangian equation, which is a nonlinear elliptic boundary value problem of the second order. Moreover, by considering the effects of the dissipative energy, we propose another total energy functional to characterize the geometric shape of the interface, and obtain the corresponding Euler-Lagrangian equation, which is also a nonlinear elliptic boundary value problem of the second order. Thus, the problem of the geometric shape is converted into a nonlinear boundary value problem of the second order in both cases.  相似文献

A numerical solution methodology is proposed herein to investigate the nonlinear forced vibrations of Euler–Bernoulli beams with different boundary conditions around the buckled configurations. By introducing a set of differential and integral matrix operators, the nonlinear integro-differential equation that governs the buckling of beams is discretized and then solved using the pseudo-arc-length method. The discretized governing equation of free vibration around the buckled configurations is also solved as an eigenvalue problem after imposing the boundary conditions and some complicated matrix manipulations. To study forced and nonlinear vibrations that take place around a buckled configuration, a Galerkin-based numerical method is applied to reduce the partial integro-differential equation into a time-varying ordinary differential equation of Duffing type. The Duffing equation is then discretized using time differential matrix operators, which are defined based on the derivatives of a periodic base function. Finally, for any given magnitude of axial load, the pseudo -arc-length method is used to obtain the nonlinear frequencies of buckled beams. The effects of axial load on the free vibration, nonlinear, and forced vibrations of beams in both prebuckling and postbuckling domains for the lowest three vibration modes are analyzed. This study shows that the nonlinear response of beams subjected to periodic excitation is complex in the postbuckling domain. For example, the type of boundary conditions significantly affects the nonlinear response of the postbuckled beams.  相似文献
