Negative muons captured by atoms with zero nuclear spin usually retain about 1/6 of their initial spin polarization P_0 after cascading down to their lowest Bohr orbital. This is particularly observed for μ- implanted into graphite and diamond. However, μ- implanted into a powder of the fullerene C60 are found to show essentially zero residual polarization. A residual polarization of \sim P_0/6 is again seen in metallic K3C60. We speculate that these results are to be explained on the basis of hyperfine effects after completion of the muonic cascade. Preparation of fullerites containing cobalt and analyses of reactions based on semiempirical quantum calculations are described. The magnetic properties of thermally treated C60Co3 samples: Curie constant (C≈3500 emu K/mol Oe) temperature and field dependencies of magnetization and nonequilibrium effects of magnetization are interpreted in terms of superparamagnetic blocking model of the compound.  相似文献

13C hyperfine interactions obtained for CD3C60 are compared with previous data for MuC60 and used to map the unpaired spin distribution on the C60 surface of these radicals with the help of semi-empirical and density functional calculations. 采用量子分子动力学技术,模拟了C60、C60F60与C60H60分子的压缩过程,计算了这些"分子滚珠"受压变形后的电子结构.根据计算结果,对比、分析了三种分子的压缩力学特性以及压缩变形对其电子结构的影响.研究表明,1)三种分子的抗压缩载荷与能量吸收能力有C60F60>C60H60>C60的排序,但抗变形能力相当;2)随着压缩变形的增大,三种分子的化学活性增加,但相同应变下,C60F60和C60H60分子有着比C60更好的化学稳定性.  相似文献
