We establish the existence and uniqueness of solutions of fully nonlinear elliptic second-order equations like H(v, Dv, D 2 v, x) = 0 in smooth domains without requiring H to be convex or concave with respect to the second-order derivatives. Apart from ellipticity nothing is required of H at points at which |D 2 v| ≤K, where K is any given constant. For large |D 2 v| some kind of relaxed convexity assumption with respect to D 2 v mixed with a VMO condition with respect to x are still imposed. We provide regularity results at the boundary for continuous viscosity solutions to nonconvex fully nonlinear uniformly elliptic equations and inequalities in Euclidian domains. We show that (i) any solution of two sided inequalities with Pucci extremal operators is C 1, α on the boundary; (ii) the solution of the Dirichlet problem for fully nonlinear uniformly elliptic equations is C 2, α on the boundary; (iii) corresponding asymptotic expansions hold. This is an extension to viscosity solutions of the classical Krylov estimates for smooth solutions.  相似文献

The general difference schemes for the first boundary problem of the fully nonlinear parabolic systems of second order f(x, t, u, u_x, u_{xx}, u_t) = 0 are considered in the rectangular domain Q_T = {0 ≤ x ≤ l, 0 ≤ t ≤ T}, where u(x, t) and f(x, t, u, p, r, q) are two m-dimensional vector functions with m ≥ 1 for (x, t) ∈ Q_T and u, p, r, q ∈ R^m. The existence and the estimates of solutions for the finite difference system are established by the fixed point technique. The absolute and relative stability and convergence of difference schemes are justified by means of a series of a priori estimates. In the present study, the existence of unique smooth solution of the original problem is assumed. The similar results for nonlinear and quasilinear parabolic systems are also obtained.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

We obtain Alexandrov-Bakelman-Pucci type estimates for semicontinuous viscosity solutions of fully nonlinear elliptic inequalities in unbounded domains. Under suitable assumptions relating the geometry of the domain with structural conditions on the differential operator, we establish the validity of the weak maximum principle for solutions which are bounded from above. Two variants are also given, namely one for unbounded solutions in narrow domains and one for operators with possibly changing sign zero order coefficients in domains of small measure.  相似文献

In this paper we present an elementary theory about the existence of eigenvalues for fully nonlinear radially symmetric 1-homogeneous operators. A general theory for first eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of 1-homogeneous fully nonlinear operators exists in the framework of viscosity solutions. Here we want to show that for the radially symmetric operators or in the one dimensional case a much simpler theory, based on ode and degree theory arguments, can be established. We obtain the complete set of eigenvalues and eigenfunctions characterized by the number of zeroes.  相似文献
