Gorenstein Injective and Gorenstein Flat Dimensions Under Base Change

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to investigate some connections between Gorenstein flat and Gorenstein injective dimensions of complexes over different rings.     

Gorenstein Injective and Gorenstein Flat Resolution of Modules Over Gorenstein Rings

Abstract

Let R be a commutative Noetherian ring. There are several characterizations of Gorenstein rings in terms of classical homological dimensions of their modules. In this paper, we use Gorenstein dimensions (Gorenstein injective and Gorenstein flat dimension) to describe Gorenstein rings. Moreover a characterization of Gorenstein injective (resp. Gorenstein flat) modules over Gorenstein rings is given in terms of their Gorenstein flat (resp. Gorenstein injective) resolutions.

证明了在任意结合环R上,复形C是Gorenstein投射复形当且仅当每个层次的模C~m是Gorenstein投射模,由此给出了复形Gorenstein投射维数的性质刻画.并证明了对于正合复形C,若对于任意投射模Q,函子Hom(-,Q)作用复形C后仍然得到正合复形,则C是Gorenstein投射复形当且仅当对于所有的m∈Z,有Ker(δ_C~m)是Gorenstein投射模.类似地,本文也讨论了关于Gorenstein内射和Gorenstein平坦复形的相应结果.     

n-Strongly Gorenstein Projective,Injective and Flat Modules

In this article, we study the relation between m-strongly Gorenstein projective (resp., injective) modules and n-strongly Gorenstein projective (resp., injective) modules whenever m ≠ n, and the homological behavior of n-strongly Gorenstein projective (resp., injective) modules. We introduce the notion of n-strongly Gorenstein flat modules. Then we study the homological behavior of n-strongly Gorenstein flat modules, and the relation between these modules and n-strongly Gorenstein projective (resp., injective) modules.     

On Gorenstein FP-Injective and Gorenstein Flat Complexes

In this article, the concept of Gorenstein FP-injective modules and some related known results are generalized to Gorenstein FP-injective complexes. Moreover, some new characterizations of Gorenstein flat complexes are given. It is also proved that every complex has a Gorenstein flat preenvelope over coherent rings with finite self-FP-injective dimension.     

Gorenstein projective dimensions of complexes

We show that over a right coherent left perfect ring R, a complex C of left R-modules is Gorenstein projective if and only if C ^m is Gorenstein projective in R-Mod for all m ∈ ℤ. Basing on this we show that if R is a right coherent left perfect ring then Gpd(C) = sup{Gpd(C ^m )|m ∈ ℤ} where Gpd(−) denotes Gorenstein projective dimension.     

On Gorenstein Resolution Dimensions of Complexes

Let W be a self-orthogonal class of R-modules. We prove that W-Gorenstein res-olution dimension of a complex X is equivalent to the supremum of W-Gorenstein resolution dimension of modules Xi for all i∈Z.     

Gorenstein Injective Envelopes of Artinian Modules

Let R be a commutative Noetherian ring and A an Artinian R-module. We prove that if A has finite Gorenstein injective dimension, then A possesses a Gorenstein injective envelope which is special and Artinian. This, in particular, yields that over a Gorenstein ring any Artinian module possesses a Gorenstein injective envelope which is special and Artinian.     

On Stability of Gorenstein Categories

We show that an iteration of the procedure used to define the Gorenstein projective modules over a ring R yields exactly the Gorenstein projective modules. Specifically, given an exact sequence of Gorenstein projective left R-modules G = … → G ₁ → G ₀ → G ⁰ → G ¹ → … such that the complex Hom _R (G, H) is exact for each projective left R-module H, the module Im(G ₀ → G ⁰) is Gorenstein projective. We also get similar results for Gorenstein flat left R-modules when R is a right coherent ring. As applications, we obtain the corresponding results for Gorenstein complexes.     

Gorenstein flatness and injectivity over Gorenstein rings

Let R be a Gorenstein ring.We prove that if I is an ideal of R such that R/I is a semi-simple ring,then the Gorenstein flat dimension of R/I as a right R-module and the Gorenstein injective dimension of R/I as a left R-module are identical.In addition,we prove that if R→S is a homomorphism of rings and SE is an injective cogenerator for the category of left S-modules,then the Gorenstein flat dimension of S as a right R-module and the Gorenstein injective dimension of E as a left R-module are identical.We also give some applications of these results.

On the Existence of Certain Modules of Finite Gorenstein Homological Dimensions

Let (R, 𝔪) be a commutative Noetherian local ring. It is known that R is Cohen–Macaulay if there exists either a nonzero finitely generated R-module of finite injective dimension or a nonzero Cohen–Macaulay R-module of finite projective dimension. In this article, we investigate the Gorenstein analogues of these facts.

Cotorsion Dimension of Unbounded Complexes

We extend the cotorsion dimension of R-modules to unbounded R-complexes by applying the flat model structure on Ch(R) proposed by J. Gillespie. This is not natural because there has been no sufficiently general result available for the existence of proper “cotorsion” resolutions of unbounded complexes, for which one would be able to define the derived functors. The global cotorsion dimension of ring is discussed in our present framework, and the relations between it and other dimensions are investigated as well. Some rings are characterized and some known results are extended.

文 [1],[2 ]分别研究了Gr NoetherGr 局部 (半局部 )环的同调维数 ,本文主要进一步讨论Gr 凝聚Gr 半局部环的同调性质 .在§ 1中 ,主要刻画交换Gr 凝聚Gr 半局部环R的分次弱整体维数gr.gl.w .dimR ;在§ 2中 ,定义了分次环R的小有限分次投射维数gr.fp .dimR .刻画了gr.fp .dimR =gr .gl.w .dimR的Gr 凝聚环 .由于Gr Noether环是Gr 凝聚的 ,因而本文所得的结果对于Gr Noether环是自然成立的 .同时 ,本文所得的结果 ,也可视为文 [4 ]关于一般交换凝聚环相应结论的推广 .
