The decay of149Gd(9.4d) to the levels of149Eu has been studied using large volume high resolution Ge(Li) and NaI(Tl) detectors,γ-γ coincidence and directional correlation experiments have been performed. Newγ-rays at energies 131.9, 278.6, 384.7, 415.7, 599.2, 726.5, 734.7, 956.4 and 1,231.1 keV in149Eu have been observed. Three new levels in149Eu have been placed at 956.4, 1,082.0 and 1,231.1 keV. Spin-parity assignments have been made to some of the levels in149Eu. Multipolarity assignments have been made for most of the electromagnetic transitions from the conversion coefficients obtained through the knowledge of ourγ-transition intensities and the published conversion-electron intensities. Based on the newγ-transitions observed in the singles and coincidence spectra, a revised level scheme has been proposed for149Eu and compared with previously published level schemes. The decay of147Pr produced by (γ, p) reaction on enriched148Nd has been studied with Ge(Li) detectors and gamma-gamma coincidence methods. Half-life determinations, and accurate energy and intensity measurements for 84 gamma transitions have been performed. A level scheme with 21 levels including 62 of the transitions was deduced. Beta branch intensities were estimated from measured gamma intensities. Tentative spin and parity assignments are given.  相似文献

The level scheme of the doubly odd nucleus146Pm was investigated by means of in-beam spectroscopy. The146Nd(p, n) reaction in the 3.5–8 MeV proton energy interval on enriched targets has been used to populate the exited states of146Pm. High resolutionγ-ray spectra using Ge(Li) and hyperpure Ge detectors and conversion electrons with a mini-orange spectrometer were measured. Withγ-exitation functions and-coincidences using-discriminated NE231 neutron detectors transitions in146Pm were identified,γγ-coincidences gave information aboutγ-cascades. With these data a level scheme of 38 levels below 1.1 MeV exitation energy has been deduced including 73 transitions. For 12 transitions experimental conversion coefficients have been evaluated, which agree with the expected values forM1/E2-transitions.  相似文献

The still existing discrepancies in the γ-ray spectrum accompanying the β?-decay of147Nd could be cleared up by careful measurements with high-resolution Ge(Li)-detectors. It could be shown that these discrepancies are caused by radioactive impurities of148m Pm thus excluding several energy levels and γ-ray transitions reported in earlier papers. The experimental level scheme is compared with the predictions of intermediate coupling theory.  相似文献

Levels in the149Pm nucleus populated via149Nd decay were studied using the low temperature nuclear orientation technique. The parent149Nd nuclei were oriented in a gadolinium host. The normalized gamma-ray intensities were determined for twenty five transitions in the daughter149Pm nucleus. The spins of the149Pm levels at 288.2 and 425.3 keV were determined as 9/2 and 7/2, respectively, and for several other149Pm levels the previous spin-assignments could be unambiguously confirmed. Substantial new information on multipole mixing ratios of gamma-transitions in149Pm is presented. Low-energy level spacing in the149Pm nucleus is found to be in reasonable agreement with recent particle-rotor model calculations including the variable moment of inertia.  相似文献

Theγ spectra emitted in the decay of122Xe and122I have been investigated using Ge(Li) detectors and a Ge(Li)-NaI coincidence apparatus. 14γ transitions with energies between 61.8 and 416.9 keV have been identified in the decay of122Xe, 44 transitions between 564.0 and 3,291.0 keV in the decay of122I. Level schemes having 7 excited levels for122I and 21 excited levels for122Te are proposed.  相似文献

The decay of149Pr (T 1/2=2.2 min) has been studied using the two fission product separators JOSEF and LOHENGRIN to produce the149Pr nucleus. A level scheme for149Nd has been established. Theβ-branching and logft values for the excited levels were deduced from the analysis ofγ-intensity balances. Furthermore, the spins and parities for most of the excited states observed were obtained from the comparison between the present work, the neutron capture results and the pick-up reactions. The positive parity levels have been described with the Nilsson model with Coriolis andΔN=2 interactions included. The properties of the negative parity states cannot be explained as easily; however, it has been attempted to extract the structure of the ground state \((I^\pi = \tfrac{5}{2}^ - )\) and the first excited states \((I^\pi = \tfrac{7}{2}^ - and\tfrac{3}{2}^ - )\) .  相似文献

The structure of138Nd is investigated through theβ +-decay of138Pm, whose decay half-life is measured to be 3.24±0.05 min. A level structure comprising 27 excited states and 52 transitions is constructed. With the help of deducedft values and internal conversion coefficients, spin-parity assignments are made to many states in138Nd and to the ground states of138Pm. From the positron end-point energy measurement, the total decay energy is determined to be 5.4±0.2 MeV, which is compared with the predictions of several mass formulae and with the decay energy systematics of theN=77 isotones. The structure of138Nd is discussed in the light of nuclear systematics of theN=78 isotones.  相似文献

Decay of193m Hg     
The decay of193m Hg to193Au levels was investigated by means of Ge(Li) and Ge(Li)-NaI(Tl) coincidence spectrometers. In theγ-ray spectrum about 120 transitions were observed, about 80 of them being new. Forty coincidences betweenγ-transitions were observed. The level scheme of193Au, including 12 earlier known levels as well as 17 new and corrected levels, has been constructed on the basis of the balance of energy sums and the observed coincidences. Possible multipolarities of 33 transitions were determined. Possible spins and parities of several levels were deduced from the determined multipolarities.  相似文献

The level scheme of95Tc has been investigated with Ge(Li)-detectors by observing the γ-rays after the decay of 1.65 h95Ru. The energies and intensities of theγtransitions were extracted fromγ-singles andγγ-coincidence spectra. In the decay of95Ru 88γ-transitions were observed; a scheme of95Tc with 25 levels is proposed into which 86 transitions could be accomodated. Spin and parity assignments were made from log (ft) values andγ-ray branching ratios. The level structure of95Tc is compared with that of the other odd Tc isotopes.  相似文献

136Pm and136Nd were studied using theβ decay of136Sm and136Pm. The radioactive nuclei were produced by the92Mo (48Ti,xpyn) and112Sn (28Si,xpyn) reactions. The UNISOR isotope separator enabled mass identification. The previously unknown level scheme of136Pm was constructed and the half-life of136Sm was determined to be 47±2 s. Six new levels and thirteen newγ-ray transitions have been added to the level scheme of136Nd.  相似文献

The beta decay of143Sm was reinvestigated with the aid of a Ge(Li) detector. Levels of143Pm at 271.8, 1,056.5, 1,173.4, 1,342.1, 1,403.2, 1,514.9, 1,752.8, 1,816.3, 1,853.6, (2,000), 2,009.0, 2,080.5, 2,344, 2,443, 2,463, 2,906 and (3,054) keV were established. Logft values for all observed beta transitions have been calculated. Spin and parity assignments have been made from electron capture and positon disintegration considerations and gamma branches. The experimental level scheme of143Pm is compared with the results of 1 and 3 q.p. calculations forN=82 nuclei.  相似文献

Theγ-radiation following the β? decay of73Ga has been studied. Singlesγ andγγ coincidence spectra were recorded with Ge(Li)-detectors. 17γ-rays were assigned to transitions in73Ge, where 11 excited levels are proposed. From logft values based onγ-transition intensities, spin and parity assignments for the levels were deduced. The half-life of73Ga was measured to (4.86±0.03) h. The decay of 24h96Nb has been studied with a Ge(Li) spectrometer and with a Ge(Li)-NaI(Tl) coincidence spectrometer. A total of 27 gamma-ray transitions were observed, their energies and intensities measured. All but one of these have been incorporated into the level scheme of96Mo. The level at 1,625.9 keV reported recently in (n th, γ) work on95Nb has also been observed through the decay of96Nb. No experimental evidence has been found for previously proposed levels at 2,657 and 2,791 keV in96Mo.  相似文献

The intensities, placements andE2/M1 mixing ratios of transitions in the decay of154Eu have been carefully studied to provide accurate data for microscopic calculations. Coincidence relationships in the decay of154Eu have been studied extensively with a multiparameterγ-γ coincidence system with two large volume Ge(Li) detectors. Spectra in coincidence with twenty energy gates were analyzed. Twenty-nine new coincidence relationships were established and confirmed most, but not all, of several levels previously assigned by energy fits only. From an analysis of coincidence spectra and singles spectra with a 18% efficiency Ge(Li) detector new information on the gamma-ray intensities were obtained. Precise values of theE2/M1 mixing ratios of transitions from the gamma- and beta-vibrational bands to the g.s. band have been determined fromγ-γ directional correlation measurements with a NaI(Tl)-Ge(Li) detector coincidence system. Mixing ratios were obtained for a number of other transitions including those fromK π =0? and 2+ bands from direct and skipped cascade correlations.  相似文献

The level structure of theN=80,140Nd has been investigated through the beta decay of140m Pm and140g Pm, whose decay half-lives were measured to be 5.95±0.05 min and 9.1±0.5 sec, respectively. Decay schemes for the two isomers have been constructed fromγ-ray measurements. With the help of the beta decayft values and internal conversion electron measurements, spins and parities were deduced for levels in140Nd. Among the levels a 7? state at 2222.0 keV and a 5? state at 2273.3 keV are identified as two-neutron quasiparticle states. The (ie233-01) for140m Pm and140g Pm have been deduced as 7? and 1+, respectively. From beta end-point measurements, the decay energies of the two isomers have been determined asQ EC=6.48±0.07 MeV140m (Pm) andQ EC=6.08±0.10 MeV (140gPm). The results are discussed in the light of nuclear systematics of theN=79 and 80 isotones.  相似文献

Theγ-radiation associated with the β+ decay of130La to levels in130Ba is studied. The level scheme is established on the basis of theγ-γ coincidence measurements emploing two Ge(Li) detectors. The available experimental data are compared to collective model calculations withγ-soft P.E.S. andγ-dependent inertial functions. The decay of171 Lu(t1/2=8.2 day) to the levels of171Yb has been studied using large volume high resolution Ge(Li), x-ray Ge(Li) and NaI(Tl) detectors.γ-γ coincidence and directional correlation experiments have been performed. Spin-parity of 5/2?, 7/2+, 5/2?, 9/2+, 7/2?, 7/2?, 11/2+, 9/2?, 9/2? and 5/2? have been assigned to the 75.87, 95.26, 122.37, 167.62, 208.00, 230.61, 259.02, 835.21, 948.37 and 1024.87 keV levels respectively. Several new coincidence relations have been observed in the present work. Two newγ-transitions at 141.45 and 821.30 keV observed and two levels at 766 and 944 keV been proposed. Multipolarity assignments have been made for most of theγ-transitions from theK-shell internal conversion coefficients obtained using the presentγ-ray intensities and the published conversion electron intensities. A revised level scheme for171Yb has been proposed and compared with published data. Radioactivity171Lu; measuredT 1/2,E γ ,I γ ,γγ coin,γγ (θ), I.C.C.,171Yb deduced levels,J, γ-mixing,π. The structure of140Pm is investigated through the beta decay of140Sm, whose half-life is measured to be (14.7 ± 0.2) m. A level structure comprising 41 transitions among 17 excited states is constructed. Using the deduced ft values and measured internal conversion coefficients, spin-parity assignments to several states in140Pm were made. From beta end-point measurement, the total decay energy is deduced to beQ EC =3.4±0.3 MeV, which is compared with the predictions of several mass formulae. The systematics of the odd-Z, N=79 isotones are discussed.  相似文献
