 The influence of collector structure on interaction with metal cations was modelled by computational ab initio methods. The interaction energies were calculated between metal ions (Cu+, Cu2+, Zn2+ and Pb2+) and selected collector anions: ethyl xanthate, ethyl trithiocarbonate, dithiobutyric acid, ethyl dithiocarbamate, diethyl dithiocarbamate, diethylphosphinecarbodithioic acid and diethoxyphosphinecar bodithioic acid. The strongest interaction was found with diethyl dithiocarbamate. The results give qualitative information on the effect of the collector structure on the initial adsorption steps on sulphide mineral flotation. Summary The stability constants,K sof monensin complexes with Li+, Na+, K+ and Cs+ ions were studied by a competitive polarographic method using the Tl+/Tl(Hg) redox couple as a sensitive electrochemical probe. TheK svalues are strongly influenced by the solvents (acetonitrile, propionitrile, acetone, N,N-dimethylformamide, N-methyl pyrolidinone, N,N-dimethylacetamide, dimethylsulfoxide, N,N-diethylformamide and N,N-diethylacetamide were used in experiments) and vary inversely with the Gutmann donicity scale. Molecular mechanics computations revealed the probable structures of the complexes.

Zusammenfassung Es wurden die StabilitätskonstantenK svon Monesin-Komplexen mit Li+-, Ma+- und Cs+-Ionen mittels einer competitiven polarographischen Methode unter Verwendung der Tl+/Tl(Hg)-Redoxelektrode als sensitiver elektrochemischer Sonde bestimmt. DieK s-Werte werden stark vom Lösungsmittel (Acetonitril, Propionitril, Aceton, N,N-Dimethylformamid, N-Methylpyrrolidinon, N,N-Dimethylacetamid, Dimethylsulfoxid, N,N-Diethylformamid und N,N-Diethylacetamid) beeinflußt, wobei sie invers zurGutmann schen Donizitätsskala variieren. Die wahrscheinliche Struktur der Komplexe wurde mittels molekularmechanischer Berechnungen ermittelt.

Competitive uptake of Cs+, Ba2+ and Zn2+ ions from aqueous medium by zeolite-3A is studied by the radiotracer technique. Suppression Cs+ uptake in presence of Ba2+ is the maximum amongst the competitive uptakes. The simultaneous uptakes of the individual cations are considered in the light of the zeolite pore size, hydration effects and mobilities of the competing cations.  相似文献

Composite of polyacrylamide-bentonite (PAA-B) was prepared by direct polymerization in a suspension of bentonite (B), the composite was then modified by phytic acid (PAA-B-Phy). The parameters related to adsorption of UO2 2+ in absence and presence of 0.01M CaCl2 and of natural radionuclides (Tl+, Pb2+, Ra2+ and Ac3+ in a leaching solution) onto PAA-B and PAA-B-Phy, and thermodynamics of the adsorption were investigated. Adsorption isotherms were of L and H types for the adsorption of UO2 2+ onto PAA-B and PAA-B-Phy, whilst for Tl+, Pb2+, Ra2+ and Ac3+ they were of C type for both adsorbents. Langmuir equilibrium constants for the adsorption of all studied ions onto PAA-B-Phy were significantly higher than those found for PAA-B. The thermodynamic parameters indicated that adsorption reactions are spontaneous in terms of adsorption free enthalpy. The composite of PAA-B and its modification by Phy have been used for the first time in this study. It is concluded that the composites can be practically used for adsorption and applied as adsorbent of radionuclides.  相似文献

Summary The batch removal ofCs+, Sr2+, Ca2+and Mg2+ions from aqueous solutions using synthetic zeolite A was investigated. The influence of the initial ion concentration, pH and temperature was studied. The obtained isotherm data have been correlated with Langumir, Freundlich, and Dubinin-Radushkevich(D-R) isotherm models. The effect of the temperature on the equilibrium distribution values has been utilized to evaluate the standard thermodynamic parameters such as free energy (DG), enthalpy (DH) and entropy (DS). Based on the D-R isotherm expression, the maximum ion-exchange capacity and the mean free energy of each studied ion has been determined. The selectivity sequence, deduced from the equilibrium isotherm data is: Sr2+>Ca2+>Mg2+>Cs+>Na+.</p> </p>  相似文献

Humin is separated from a soil sample and characterized by elemental analysis, IR and potentiometric titration. These investigations indicated that humin displayed similar characteristics as humic acid. The sorption behavior of137Cs,90Sr and153Gd with humin was investigated from aqueous solution. The results indicated that the sorption process follows the order: Gd3+≫Sr2+>Cs+. It was time dependent and increased with pH. The sorption in the presence of humic acid or EDTA showed that both form a metal-ligand complex and consequently decrease the % uptake.  相似文献

The synthetic model systems based on the study of supramolecular compounds are proficient in mimicking the biological processes so as to get the insight of their processes. In this perspective, a series of naphthaquinone derived redox switchable ionophores namely D1 (2,3,5,6,8,9,11,12-octahydronaphtho [2,3b] [1,4,7,10,13] pentaoxacyclo octadecine-14,19-dione) and D2 (2,3,5,6,8,9-hexahydronaphtho[2,3-b] [1,4,7,10] tetraoxacyclododecine-11,16-dione) have been synthesized and interacted with Li+, Na+, K+, Ca2+, Mg2+ cations. The isolated solid state soft materials obtained after interaction were characterized by melting point, TLC, 1H NMR spectroscopy and CHN estimation. The extraction, transport potential and stability constant determination of these ionophores towards cations helped in investigating their binding strength in solution. The selective extraction of Na+ and Li+ by D1 and D2 correspondingly proves them an efficient compound for the manufacturing of chemosensor. Whereas efficient transport of Mg2+ by both the ionophores especially by D1 may assist in developing biomodels for understanding its transport through membrane in living system. The selectivity of these ionophores towards metal ions can be modulated by molecular tailoring.  相似文献

The activity of atropine on the complexation and transport of Na(+), K(+), Mg(2+) and Ca(2+) ions across a liquid membrane was investigated using a spectrophotometric method. Atropine is a natural drug that blocks muscarinic receptors. It is a competitive antagonist of the action of acetylcholine and other muscarinic agonists. Atropine is shown to extract Na(+), K(+), Mg(2+) and Ca(2+) ions from an aqueous phase into an organic one with a preference for Ca(2+) ions. According to a kinetic study, divalent cations (Mg(2+) and Ca(2+)) are more rapidly transported than monovalent ones (Na(+) and K(+)). In both complexation and transport, the flux of the ions increases with the increase of atropine concentration. Atropine might act on the membrane permeability; its complexation and ionophoric properties shed new lights on its therapeutic properties.  相似文献

The interaction of the metal ions Na(+), Mg(2+), Ca(2+), and Zn(2+) with cytosine have been reinvestigated at the density functional, M?ller-Plesset, and coupled cluster levels of theory, including hitherto unstudied tautomeric forms. It has been found that the interaction of the metal ion has a varying and often significant effect on the stabilities of the various tautomers, in some cases making most stable rare tautomeric forms. The results have been analyzed with respect to method and role of ion in binding, and confirm that, as has been found for the base cytosine tautomers, B3LYP does not give energetics consistent with highly accurate post-SCF methods for their interaction with these metal ions.  相似文献

A thermodynamic study of the complexation of Cu2+, Pb2+, Zn2+ and Cd2+ ions with 1 and 2 in acetonitrile has been carried out. The study was conducted in the temperature range 283–308 K using a conductometric technique. The observed molar conductivity, Λ, was found to decrease significantly for mole ratios [L]t/[M]t less than unity in all cases. A model involving 1:1 stoichiometry has been used to analyze the conductivity data. The stability constant, K, for each 1:1 complex was determined from the conductivity data by using a nonlinear least-squares curve fitting procedure. The results show that compound 1 has no peak selectivity for any of the metal cations, while compound 2 selectively associates with Cu2+ and Pb2+. Complexes of 1 have the following stability order Pb2+ > Cu2+ > Zn2+ > Cd2+  and Pb2+ > Cu2+ for the complexes of 2. The ?H° and ?S° values for the complexation process were obtained from the slope and intercept of the Van’t Hoff plots respectively. All ?G° values were negative and were determined from the Gibbs–Helmholtz equation and the significance of these values is discussed.  相似文献
