The formation of a 1D chain-like structure of dust particles in a low-temperature argon plasma was studied. A new numerical model for calculation of the self-consistent spatial distribution of plasma parameters around a chain of dust particles was presented. The model described the motion of positively charged ions in the electric potential of several negatively charged dust particles, taking into account the action of an external electric field. The main advantage of the model was that the charges of the dust particles and the interparticle distances were determined self-consistently. As a result of numerical simulations, the dependencies of the spatial distributions of the plasma parameters (the densities of electrons and ions and the self-consistent electric potential) near the dust particles chain on the strength of the external electric field, an external force acted on the last particle, and the mean free path of the ions was determined. The obtained results made it possible to describe the process of the formation of chain-like structures of dust particles in discharge plasma.  相似文献

利用双向电场控制毛细管电泳系统,考察了神经递质的分离。在pH2.5的0.01mol/L磷酸盐缓冲体系中,通过加入20%(V/V)正丙醇,改善了多巴胺和5-羟色胺的分离效果,但仍不太理想。通过施加径向电场,可进一步提高分离度。本研究不仅拓宽了径向电场调控的样品分离范围,而且为生物活性物质的痕量分析提供了参考依据。  相似文献

利用自制的双向电场控制毛细管电泳新系统,考察了蛋白质的分离情况.结果发现,在低pH值下,通过施加径向电场,不仅可改变电渗流的大小和方向,而且能抑制蛋白质的吸附,进而实现对蛋白质分离效率和分离速度的调控.研究结果表明,可通过物理化学方法实现毛细管电泳的动态或随机调控,这对许多生物样品分离有实际意义.  相似文献

以羟乙基纤维素为筛分介质, 在直流、方波脉冲、反向脉冲电场中对0.1~10.0 kbp范围的DNA样品进行分离, 改变脉冲电场调制深度, 探讨电场方式对毛细管电泳分离DNA的影响. 研究发现, 其它实验条件一定时: (1)直流电场下, 小片段DNA (<1.0 kbp)可以被有效分离, 大片段DNA (>1.0 kbp)迁移时几乎重叠在一起; (2)方波脉冲电场下, 增大调制深度可提高大片段DNA (>1.0 kbp)分离效果, 但降低了部分小片段DNA (0.6~1.0 kbp)的分离度; (3)反向脉冲电场下, 可以实现0.1~8.0 kbp范围内各个DNA片段的有效分离, 改变调制深度会影响样本DNA的分离时间. 并将反向脉冲电场应用于毛细管电泳分离λ-DNA的EcoT14 I/Bgl II限制性内切酶酶切片段. 结果表明, 反向脉冲毛细管电泳技术具有快速、准确、重复性高等特点, 可用于宽分子量范围DNA片段分离.  相似文献

Abstract

In this study, a method for the separation and determination of basic analytes in aqueous capillary electrophoresis (CE) was developed based on high electric field strengths and ionic liquids (ILs). The resulting electric field strengths ranged from 500 to 1000 V/cm. Trishydroxymethylaminomethane (Tris) and sodium cholate (SC) were used as main electrolytes. The ionic liquids 1‐ethyl‐3‐methylimidazoium tetrafluoroborate (1E‐3MI‐TFB) and 1‐butyl‐3‐methylimidazoium tetrafluoroborate (1B‐3MI‐TFB) were used as modifiers to improve the separation efficiency and selectivity. It was shown that increasing the applied electric field strengths not only caused short analysis time, but also did not induce excessive Joule heating in the capillary when ionic liquids were used as modifiers. The susceptibility to high electric field of separation efficiency in capillary electrophoresis, with the effect of ionic liquids, was subsequently discussed, and the developed method was used to analyze three model analytes in Sinacalia tangutica. The accurate results illustrated that high electric field strength with the ionic liquids was feasible in CE.  相似文献

The effect of an electric field on the formation of a drop of an inviscid, perfectly conducting liquid from a capillary which protrudes from the top plate of a parallel-plate capacitor into a surrounding dynamically inactive, insulating gas is studied computationally. This free boundary problem which is comprised of the surface Bernoulli equation for the transient drop shape and the Laplace equation for the velocity potential inside the drop and the electrostatic potential outside the drop is solved by a method of lines incorporating the finite element method for spatial discretization. The finite element algorithm employed relies on judicious use of remeshing and element addition to a two-region adaptive mesh to accommodate large domain deformations, and allows the computations to proceed until the thickness of the neck connecting an about to form drop to the rest of the liquid in the capillary is less than 0.1% of the capillary radius. The accuracy of the computations is demonstrated by showing that in the absence of an electric field predictions made with the new algorithm are in excellent agreement with boundary integral calculations (Schulkes, R. M. S. M. J. Fluid Mech. 278, 83 (1994)) and experimental measurements on water drops (Zhang, X., and Basaran, O. A. Phys. Fluids 7(6), 1184 (1995)). In the presence of an electric field, the algorithm predicts that as the strength of the applied field increases, the mode of drop formation changes from simple dripping to jetting to so-called microdripping, in accordance with experimental observations (Cloupeau, M., and Prunet-Foch, B. J. Aerosol Sci. 25(6), 1021 (1994); Zhang, X., and Basaran, O. A. J. Fluid Mech. 326, 239 (1996)). Computational predictions of the primary drop volume and drop length at breakup are reported over a wide range of values of the ratios of electrical, gravitational, and inertial forces to surface tension force. In contrast to previously mentioned cases where both the flow rate in the tube and the electric field strength are nonzero, situations are also considered in which the flow rate is zero and the dynamics are initiated by impulsively changing the field strength from a certain value to a larger value. When the magnitude of the step change in field strength is small, the results of the new transient calculations accord well with those of an earlier stability analysis (Basaran, O. A., and Scriven, L. E. J. Colloid Interface Sci. 140(1), 10 (1990)) and thereby provide yet another testament to the accuracy of the new algorithm. Copyright 1999 Academic Press.  相似文献

The influence of an external field on the ground states energy and dipole moment of the cyclic water trimer is investigated. Employing the Hartree-Fork method with basis sets 3-21G. The field-induced H-F force including the internal and external forces and clusters equilibrium structures under balance of this force are analyzed. The external field is varied in the 0.001~0.01 a.u. range. It is shown that the magnitude of the external electric field has important effects on these characteristics of the cyclic water trimer. The energy was found to decrease and the dipole moment to increase with the increasing external field. The change of the electronic population of every atom leads the electrostatic field to vary accordingly.  相似文献

The effects of applying a constant electric field E to an ionic autocatalytic reaction with a general power p (p≥1) are discussed through a consideration of the equations for the corresponding travelling waves. It is shown that, when the ratio of diffusion coefficients D of autocatalyst and substrate is less than some value D0 (which depends on p), the effect of a negative electric field is to increase the wave speed of the reaction front over its field-free value. This is in contrast to previous results for cubic autocatalysis (p=2) [J.H. Merkin and H. Ševčíková. J. Math. Chem. 25 (1999) 111.] for D>D0, where the effect is to decrease the wave speed. This feature, seen in the numerical solutions of the travelling wave equations, is confirmed by an expansion for small E and in an asymptotic analysis for p large  相似文献

Thanks to thermogenesis in the presence of an alternating magnetic field, magnetic nanoparticles could play a promising role in local heating in vivo. However, the flexible control of thermogenesis for the given nanomaterials remains challenging. Here, we propose that the thermogenesis of assembled magnetic nanoparticles can be controlled by orientation of the film relative to an external field. This idea arises from the principle of energy conservation that is formulated by Poynting′s theorem in electromagnetics. We firstly prove that the thermogenesis of magnetic nanoparticles under an alternating magnetic field is directly related to the energy flux of the field rather than to the field′s intensity. Then, alteration of the orientation can lead to different incident electromagnetic energies for the nanoparticle film, where the cross‐section of the energy absorption plays a crucial role. We developed a method to directly measure the complex susceptibility of an assembled film to confirm this point. This work could be of great importance for applications based on the electromagnetic energy conversion of nanomaterials.  相似文献

The effect of an external electric field on the magnetic anisotropy of a single‐molecule magnet has been investigated, for the first time, with the help of DFT. The application of an electric field can alter the magnetic anisotropy from “easy‐plane” to “easy‐axis” type. Excitation analysis performed through time‐dependent DFT predicts that the external electric field facilitates metal to π‐acceptor ligand charge transfer, leading to uniaxial magnetic anisotropy and concomitant spin Hall effect in a single molecule.  相似文献

The concept of sweeping has been used in electrokinetic chromatography to explain the concentrating mechanism in micellar electrokinetic chromatography when the sample matrix is a high resistivity non-micellar aqueous solution. Theoretical and experimental studies were undertaken. It was found that the total focusing effect is brought about by the cumulative effect of sweeping and sample stacking. For better analytical results, compounds showing low to moderate retention factors (k) and compounds showing high values of k must be dissolved in low and high conductivity matrices, respectively.  相似文献

Birefringence kinetics in magnetite–kerosene and magnetite–transformer oil colloidal systems in electric field was studied.
