CsLnCdSe(3) (Ln = Ce, Pr, Sm, Gd, Tb, Dy, Y) and CsLnHgSe(3) (Ln = La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Gd, Y) have been synthesized at 1123 K. These isostructural materials crystallize in the layered KZrCuS(3) structure type in the orthorhombic space group Cmcm and are group X extensions of the previously characterized Zn compounds. The structure is composed of two-dimensional [LnMSe(3)] layers that stack perpendicular to [010] and are separated by layers of face- and edge-sharing CsSe(8) bicapped trigonal prisms. Because there are no Se-Se bonds in the structure of CsLnMSe(3) (M = Zn, Cd, Hg), the formal oxidation states of Cs/Ln/M/Se are 1+/3+/2+/2-. CsSmHgSe(3) does not adhere to the Curie-Weiss law, whereas CsCeHgSe(3) and CsGdHgSe(3) are Curie-Weiss paramagnets with micro (eff) values of 2.77 and 7.90 micro (B), corresponding well with the theoretical values of 2.54 and 7.94 micro (B) for Ce(3+) and Gd(3+), respectively. Single-crystal optical absorption measurements were performed with polarized light perpendicular to the (010) and (001) crystal faces of these materials. The band gaps of the (010) crystal faces range from 1.94 eV (CsCeHgSe(3)) to 2.58 eV (CsYCdSe(3)) whereas those of the (001) crystal faces span the range 2.37 eV (CsSmHgSe(3)) to 2.54 eV (CsYCdSe(3) and CsYHgSe(3)). The largest band gap variation between crystal faces is 0.06 eV for CsYCdSe(3). Theoretical calculations for CsYMSe(3) indicate that these materials are direct band gap semiconductors whose colors and optical band gaps are dependent upon the orbitals of Y, M, and Se.  相似文献

The synthesis process and crystal structure evolution for a family of stoichiometric layered rare-earth hydroxides with general formula Ln(8)(OH)(20)Cl(4) x nH(2)O (Ln = Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, and Y; n approximately 6-7) are described. Synthesis was accomplished through homogeneous precipitation of LnCl(3) x xH(2)O with hexamethylenetetramine to yield a single-phase product for Sm-Er and Y. Some minor coexisting phases were observed for Nd(3+) and Tm(3+), indicating a size limit for this layered series. Light lanthanides (Nd, Sm, Eu) crystallized into rectangular platelets, whereas platelets of heavy lanthanides from Gd tended to be of quasi-hexagonal morphology. Rietveld profile analysis revealed that all phases were isostructural in an orthorhombic layered structure featuring a positively charged layer, [Ln(8)(OH)(20)(H(2)O)(n)](4+), and interlayer charge-balancing Cl(-) ions. In-plane lattice parameters a and b decreased nearly linearly with a decrease in the rare-earth cation size. The interlamellar distance, c, was almost constant (approximately 8.70 A) for rare-earth elements Nd(3+), Sm(3+), and Eu(3+), but it suddenly decreased to approximately 8.45 A for Tb(3+), Dy(3+), Ho(3+), and Er(3+), which can be ascribed to two different degrees of hydration. Nd(3+) typically adopted a phase with high hydration, whereas a low-hydration phase was preferred for Tb(3+), Dy(3+), Ho(3+), Er(3+), and Tm(3+). Sm(3+), Eu(3+), and Gd(3+) samples were sensitive to humidity conditions because high- and low-hydration phases were interconvertible at a critical humidity of 10%, 20%, and 50%, respectively, as supported by both X-ray diffraction and gravimetry as a function of the relative humidity. In the phase conversion process, interlayer expansion or contraction of approximately 0.2 A also occurred as a possible consequence of absorption/desorption of H(2)O molecules. The hydration difference was also evidenced by refinement results. The number of coordinated water molecules per formula weight, n, changed from 6.6 for the high-hydration Gd sample to 6.0 for the low-hydration Gd sample. Also, the hydration number usually decreased with increasing atomic number; e.g., n = 7.4, 6.3, 7.2, and 6.6 for high-hydration Nd, Sm, Eu, and Gd, and n = 6.0, 5.8, 5.6, 5.4, and 4.9 for low-hydration Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, and Er. The variation in the average Ln-O bond length with decreasing size of the lanthanide ions is also discussed. This family of layered lanthanide compounds highlights a novel chemistry of interplay between crystal structure stability and coordination geometry with water molecules.  相似文献

The reaction between 1.5 equiv of elemental iodine and rare earth metals in powder form in THF at room temperature gives the rare earth triiodides LnI(3)(THF)(n)() in good yields. Purification by Soxhlet extraction of the crude solids with THF reliably gives the THF adducts LnI(3)(THF)(4) [Ln = La, Pr] and LnI(3)(THF)(3.5) [Ln = Nd, Sm, Gd, Dy, Er, Tm, Y] as microcrystalline solids. X-ray crystallography reveals that the early, larger lanthanide iodide PrI(3)(THF)(4) crystallizes as discrete molecules having a pentagonal bipyramidal structure, whereas the later, smaller lanthanide iodides LnI(3)(THF)(3.5) [Ln = Nd, Gd, Y] crystallize as solvent-separated ion pairs [LnI(2)(THF)(5)][LnI(4)(THF)(2)] in which the cations adopt a pentagonal bipyramidal geometry and the anions adopt an octahedral geometry in the solid state.  相似文献

A series of new quaternary semiconductor materials CsLnCdTe(3) (Ln = La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Gd-Tm, and Lu) was obtained from high-temperature solid-state reactions by the reactive halide flux method. These compounds belong to the layered KZrCuS(3) structure type and crystallize in the orthorhombic space group Cmcm (No. 63). Their structure features two-dimensional infinity(2)[LnCdTe(3)-] layers of edge- and vertex-sharing LnTe(6) octahedra with Cd atoms filling the tetrahedral interstices, which stack along b-axis. The Cs atoms are located between the infinity(2)[LnCdTe(3)-] layers and are surrounded by eight Te atoms to form a CsTe(8) bicapped trigonal prism. Such Te layers are more flexible than the Se analogues in the isostructural CsLnMSe(3) to accommodate nearly the entire Ln series. Theoretical studies performed on CsTmCdTe(3) show that the material is a direct band gap semiconductor and agrees with the result from a single-crystal optical absorption measurement. Magnetic susceptibility measurements show that the CsLnCdTe(3) (Ln = Pr, Nd, Gd, Dy, Tm) materials exhibit temperature-dependent paramagnetism and obey the Curie-Weiss law, whereas CsSmCdTe(3) does not.  相似文献

A new family of chloroborate compounds, which was investigated from the viewpoint of rare earth ion activated phosphor materials, have been synthesized by a conventional high temperature solid-state reaction. The crystal structure and thermally stable luminescence of chloroborate phosphors Ba(2)Ln(BO(3))(2)Cl:Eu(2+) (Ln = Y, Gd, and Lu) have been reported in this paper. X-ray diffraction studies verify the successful isomorphic substitution for Ln(3+) sites in Ba(2)Ln(BO(3))(2)Cl by other smaller trivalent rare earth ions, such as Sm, Eu, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, and Yb. The detailed structure information for Ba(2)Ln(BO(3))(2)Cl (Ln = Y, Gd, and Lu) by Rietveld analysis reveals that they all crystallize in a monoclinic P2(1)/m space group. These compounds display interesting and tunable photoluminescence (PL) properties after Eu(2+)-doping. Ba(2)Ln(BO(3))(2)Cl:Eu(2+) phosphors exhibit bluish-green/greenish-yellow light with peak wavelengths at 526, 548, and 511 nm under 365 UV light excitation for Ba(2)Y(BO(3))(2)Cl:Eu(2+), Ba(2)Gd(BO(3))(2)Cl:Eu(2+), and Ba(2)Lu(BO(3))(2)Cl:Eu(2+), respectively. Furthermore, they possess a high thermal quenching temperature. With the increase of temperature, the emission bands show blue shifts with broadening bandwidths and slightly decreasing emission intensities. It is expected that this series of chloroborate phosphors can be used in white-light UV-LEDs as a good wavelength-conversion phosphor.  相似文献

The compounds RbLnSe(2) (Ln = La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Gd, Tb, Ho, Er, Lu) have been synthesized by means of the reactive flux method at 1173 K. These isostructural compounds, which have the alpha-NaFeO(2) structure type, crystallize with three formula units in space group D(3d)(5)-R(-)3m of the trigonal system in cells at T = 153 K of dimensions (a, c in A) La, 4.4313(4), 23.710(3); Ce, 4.3873(3), 23.656(3); Pr, 4.3524(11), 23.655(7); Nd, 4.3231(5), 23.670(4); Sm, 4.2799(4), 23.647(3); Gd, 4.2473(7), 23.689(5); Tb, 4.2197(4), 23.631(3); Ho, 4.1869(6), 23.652(5); Er, 4.1541(8), 23.576(7); Lu, 4.1294(6), 23.614(5). The structure consists of close-packed Se layers in a pseudocubic structure distorted along [111]. The Rb and Ln atoms occupy distorted octahedral sites in alternating layers. The Rb-centered octahedra share edges with the Ln-centered octahedra between layers. Within a given layer, both the Rb-centered and Ln-centered octahedra share edges with themselves. RbTbSe(2) and RbErSe(2) exhibit Curie-Weiss paramagnetism between 5 and 300 K, and RbCeSe(2) exhibits Curie-Weiss paramagnetism between 100 and 300 K. The optical transitions for RbCeSe(2), RbTbSe(2), and RbErSe(2) are in the 2.0-2.2 eV region of the spectrum, both from diffuse reflectance spectra and from first-principles calculations. These calculations also provide insight into the electronic structures and chemical bonding in RbLnSe(2). A quadratic fit for the lanthanide contraction of the Ln-Se distance is superior to the linear one only if the closed-shell atoms La and Lu are included.  相似文献

3,5-pyrazoledicarboxylic acid (H3L) reacts with nitrate salts of lanthanide(III) (Ln=Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, and Er) under hydrothermal conditions to form a series of lanthanide polymers 1-9. These nine polymers have the same crystal system of monoclinic, but they exhibit three different kinds of metal-organic framework structures. The complexes {[Ln2(HL)3(H2O)4].2H2O}n (Ln=Pr (1), Nd (2), and Sm (3)) were isostructural and exhibited porous 3D frameworks with a Cc space group. The complexes {[Ln2(HL)3(H2O)3].3H2O}n (Ln=Eu (4), Gd (5), and Tb (6)) were isostructural and built 2D double-decker (2DD) frameworks with a P21/c space group. The complexes {[Ln(HL)(H2L)(H2O)2]}n ((Ln=Dy (7), Ho (8), and Er (9)) were also isostructural and formed 2D monolayer (2DM) frameworks with a P21/n space group. The structure variation from the 3D porous framework to the 2D double-decker to the 2D monolayer is attributed to the lanthanide contraction effect. Notably, six new coordination modes of 3,5-pyrazoledicarboxylic acid were observed, which proved that 3,5-pyrazoledicarboxylic acid may be used as an effective bridging ligand to assemble lanthanide-based coordination polymers. The photophysical and magnetic properties have also been investigated.  相似文献

CsLnMnSe(3) (Ln = Sm, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Y) and AYbZnQ(3) (A = Rb, Cs; Q = S, Se, Te) have been synthesized from solid-state reactions at temperatures in excess 1173 K. These isostructural materials crystallize in the layered KZrCuS(3) structure type in the orthorhombic space group Cmcm. The structure is composed of LnQ(6) octahedra and MQ(4) tetrahedra that share edges to form [LnMQ(3)] layers. These layers stack perpendicular to [010] and are separated by layers of face- and edge-sharing AQ(8) bicapped trigonal prisms. There are no Q-Q bonds in the structure of the ALnMQ(3) compounds so the formal oxidation states of A/Ln/M/Q are 1+/3+/2+/2-. The CsLnMnSe(3) materials, with the exception of CsYbMnSe(3), are Curie-Weiss paramagnets between 5 and 300 K. The magnetic susceptibility data for CsYbZnS(3), RbYbZnSe(3), and CsYbMSe(3) (M = Mn, Zn) show a weak cusp at approximately 10 K and pronounced differences between field-cooled and zero-field-cooled data. However, CsYbZnSe(3) is not an antiferromagnet because a neutron diffraction study indicates that CsYbZnSe(3) shows neither long-range magnetic ordering nor a phase change between 4 and 295 K. Nor is the compound a spin glass because the transition at 10 K does not depend on ac frequency. The optical band gaps of the (010) and (001) crystal faces for CsYbMnSe(3) are 1.60 and 1.59 eV, respectively; the optical band of the (010) crystal faces for CsYbZnS(3) and RbYbZnSe(3) are 2.61 and 2.07 eV, respectively.  相似文献

The syntheses, structural determinations and magnetic studies of tetranuclear M(II)Ln(III) complexes (M = Ni, Zn; Ln = Y, Gd, Dy) involving an in situ compartmentalized schiff base ligand HL derived from the condensation of o-vanillin and 2-hydrazinopyridine as main ligand are described. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction reveals that all complexes are closely isostructural, with the central core composed of distorted {M(2)Ln(2)O(4)} cubes of the formulas [Ni(2)Ln(2)(μ(3)-OH)(2)(L)(2)(OAc)(4)(H(2)O)(3.5)](ClO(4))(2)·3H(2)O (Ln = Y 1 and Gd 2), [Ni(2)Dy(2)(μ(3)-OH)(2)(L)(2)(OAc)(5)(EtOH)(H(2)O)(1.5)](ClO(4))·EtOH·H(2)O (3) and [Zn(2)Ln(2)(μ(3)-OH)(2)(L)(2)(OAc)(5)(EtOH)(H(2)O)](ClO(4))·2EtOH·1.5H(2)O (Gd 4 and Dy 5). The Ln(III) ions are linked by two hydroxo bridges and each M(II) ion is also involved in a double phenoxo-hydroxo bridge with the two Ln(III) ions, so that each hydroxo group is triply linked to the two Ln(III) and one M(II) ions. The magnetic properties of all complexes have been investigated. Ni(2)Y(2) (1) has a ferromagnetic Ni(II)Ni(II) interaction. A weak ferromagnetic Ni(II)Ln(III) interaction is observed in the Ni(2)Ln(2) complexes (Ln = Gd 2, Dy 3), along with a weak antiferromagnetic Ln(III)Ln(III) interaction, a D zero-field splitting term for the nickel ion and a ferromagnetic Ni(II)Ni(II) interaction. The isomorphous Zn(2)Ln(2) (Ln = Gd 4, Dy 5) does confirm the presence of a weak antiferromagnetic Ln(III)Ln(III) interaction. The Ni(2)Dy(2) complex (3) does not behave as a SMM, which could result from a subtractive combination of the Dy and Ni anisotropies and an increased transverse anisotropy, leading to large tunnel splittings and quantum tunneling of magnetization. On the other hand, Zn(2)Dy(2) (5) exhibits a possible SMM behavior, where its slow relaxation of magnetization is probably attributed to the presence of the anisotropic Dy(III) ions.  相似文献

Eleven new quaternary rare-earth tellurides, CsLnZnTe3 (Ln=La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, and Y), were prepared from solid-state reactions at 1123 K. These isostructural materials crystallize in the layered KZrCuS3 structure type in the orthorhombic space group Cmcm. The structure is composed of LnTe6 octahedra and ZnTe4 tetrahedra that share edges to form [LnZnTe3] layers. These layers stack perpendicular to [010] and are separated by layers of face- and edge-sharing CsTe8 bicapped trigonal prisms. There are no Te-Te bonds in the structure of these CsLnZnTe3 compounds so the formal oxidation states of Cs/Ln/Zn/Te are 1+/3+/2+/2-. Optical band gaps of 2.13 eV for CsGdZnTe3 and 2.12 eV for CsTbZnTe3 were deduced from single-crystal optical absorption measurements. A first-principles calculation of the density of states and the frequency-dependent optical properties was performed on CsGdZnTe3. The calculated band gap of 2.1 eV is in good agreement with the experimental value. A quadratic fit for the lanthanide contraction of the Ln-Te distance is superior to a linear one if the closed-shell atom is included.  相似文献

We present the syntheses, crystal structures, and magnetochemical characterizations for a family of isostructural [Mn(4)Ln(4)] compounds (Ln = Sm, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, and Y). They were prepared from the reactions of formic acid, propionic acid, N-n-butyl-diethanolamine, manganese perchlorate, and lanthanide nitrates under the addition of triethylamine in MeOH. The compounds possess an intriguing hetero-octanuclear wheel structure with four Mn(III) and four Ln(III) ions alternatively arranged in a saddle-like ring, where formate ions act as key carboxylate bridges. In the lattice, the molecules stack into columns in a quasi-hexagonal arrangement. Direct current (dc) magnetic susceptibility measurements indicated the depopulation of the Stark components at low temperature and/or very weak antiferromagnetic interactions between magnetic centers. The zero-field alternating current (ac) susceptibility studies revealed that the compounds containing Sm, Tb, and Dy showed frequency-dependent out-of-phase signals, indicating they are single-molecule magnets (SMMs). Magnetization versus applied dc field sweeps on a single crystal of the Dy compound down to 40 mK exhibited hysteresis depending on temperatures and field sweeping rates, further confirming that the Dy compound is a SMM. The magnetization dynamics of the Sm and Y compounds investigated under dc fields revealed that the relaxation of the Sm compound is considered to be dominated by the two-phonon (Orbach) process while the Y compound displays a multiple relaxation process.  相似文献

Six compounds of the general formula [Ln(pfpr)3]2(NITPhOMe).nH2O, where Ln=Nd, Gd, Dy, Ho, Er, Y, pfpr=pentafluoropropionate, NITPhOMe=2-(4'-methoxyphenyl)-4,4,5, 5-tetra-methylimidazoline-1-oxyl-3-oxide, and n=4 (for Nd, Dy, Er); 3 (for Gd); 6 (for Ho); 5 (for Y), have been synthesized. These complexes were characterized by elemental analyses, IR, electronic spectra and molar conductances. The variable temperature (4-300 K) magnetic susceptibility of the complex [Gd(pfpr)3]2(NITPhOMe).3H2O was determined. The observed susceptibility data were fit to those from theoretical magnetic equation by least-squares method. The exchange integral, J, was found to be equal to 2.14 cm-1. This indicates a weak ferromagnetic spin-exchange interaction between the radical and the gadolinium(III) ion.  相似文献

The new pro-ligand 4-methyl-4'-(carbonylamino(2-(tert-butoxycarbonylamino)ethyl))-2,2'-bipyridyl (L1) has been prepared and used to synthesise the complex fac-Re(I)Cl(CO)3(L1) 1 and the complex salts [M(II)(bipy)2(L1)](PF6)2 (M=RuII 8 or OsII 15). Deprotection with trifluoroacetic acid affords the amine-functionalised derivatives fac-Re(I)Cl(CO)3(L2) 2, [M(II)(bipy)2(L2)](PF6)2 (M=RuII 9 or OsII 16) which react with the dianhydride of diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid (DTPA) to give the binuclear complex {fac-Re(I)Cl(CO)3}2(L3) 3 and the complex salts [{M(II)(bipy)2}2(L3)](PF6)4 (M = RuII 10 or OsII 17). The latter react with salts Ln(OTf)3 to afford a series of 12 heterotrimetallic compounds that contain a lanthanide (Ln) ion in the DTPA binding site; {fac-Re(I)Cl(CO)3}2(L3)LnIII (Ln=Nd 4, Er 5, Yb 6 or Y 7) and [{M(II)(bipy)2}2(L3)LnIII](PF6)(OTf)3 (M=RuII, Ln=Nd 11, Er 12, Yb 13 or Y 14; M=OsII, Ln=Nd 18, Er 19, Yb 20 or Y 21). All of these trimetallic species display absorption bands ascribed to metal-to-ligand charge-transfer (MLCT) excitations, and luminescence measurements show that these excited states can be used to sensitise near-infrared emission from LnIII (Ln=Nd, Er or Yb) ions. Single crystal X-ray structures of L1 and [RuII(bipy)2(L2H)](H2PO4)3.(CH3)2CO.0.8H2O were obtained, the latter revealing the presence of H2PO4- counter anions, the source of which is presumed to be hydrolysis of PF6- ions.  相似文献

The platelike crystals of a series of novel molecular conductors, which are based on the pi-donor molecules BDT-TTP (2,5-bis(1,3-dithiol-2-ylidene)-1,3,4,6-tetrathiapentalene) with a tetrathiapentalene skeleton and lanthanide nitrate complex anions [Ln(NO3)x](3-x)(Ln = La, Ce, (Pr), Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu) with localized 4f magnetic moments, were synthesized. Except for the Ce complex, the salts were composed of (BDT-TTP)(5)[Ln(NO(3))(5)] and were isostructural. Even though the Ce crystal had a different composition, (BDT-TTP)(6)[Ce(NO(3))(6)](C(2)H(5)OH)(x)() (x approximately 3), the crystals all had the space group P(-)1. Although the X-ray examination of the Pr salts was insufficient, the existence of two modifications was suggested in these systems by preliminary X-ray examination. Previously, we reported the crystal structures and unique magnetic properties of (BDT-TTP)(5)[Ln(NO(3))(5)] (Ln = Sm, Eu, Nd, Gd). Thus, by combining the results of this work with previous one, we for the first time succeeded in obtaining a complete set of organic conductors composed of the identical pi-donors (BDT-TTP in this case) and all the lanthanide nitrate complex anions (except the complex with Pm(3+)). The crystals were all metallic down to 2 K. Electronic band structure calculations resulted in two-dimensional Fermi surfaces, which was consistent with their stable metallic states. Except for the Lu complex, which lacked paramagnetic moments, the magnetic susceptibilities were measured on the six heavy lanthanide ion complex salts by a SQUID magnetometer (Ln = Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb). The large paramagnetic susceptibilities, which were caused by the paramagnetic moments of the rare-earth ions, were obtained. The Curie-Weiss law fairly accurately reproduced the temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibilities of (BDT-TTP)(5)[Ho(NO(3))(5)] in the experimental temperature range (2-300 K) and a comparatively large Weiss temperature (|THETAV;|) was obtained (THETAV;(Ho) = -15 K). A Weiss temperature (THETAV;(Tm) = -8 K) was also obtained for Tm. The |THETAV;| values of other (BDT-TTP)(5)[Ln(NO(3))(5)] salts and (BDT-TTP)(6)[Ce(NO(3))(6)](C(2)H(5)OH)x(x approximately 3) were as follows: |THETAV;|/K = 4 (Er), < or =2 (Ce, Tb, Dy, Yb). The comparatively strong intermolecular magnetic interaction between Ho(3+) ions, which was suggested by the |THETAV;| value, is inconsistent with the traditional image of strongly localized 4f orbitals shielded by the electrons in the outer 5s and 5p orbitals. The dipole interactions between Ln(3+) ions causing the Curie-Weiss behavior and the comparatively large THETAV; value of (BDT-TTP)(5)[Ho(NO(3))(5)] is inconsistent with the data, since the complexes exhibit isostructural properties and there is not a clear relationship between the magnitudes of THETAV; values and those of magnetic moments. Therefore, it is possible that the 4f orbitals of Ho atom are sensitive to the ligand field, which will have an effect on the orbital moment of the Ho(3+) ion and/or produce a small amount of mixing between 4f and ligand orbitals to give rise to "real" intermolecular antiferromagnetic interaction through intermolecular overlapping between pi (BDT-TTP) and ligand orbitals of lanthanide nitrate complex anions.  相似文献

A series of lanthanide-organic framework coordination polymers, {[La(2)(TDC)(2)(NO(3))(H(2)O)(4)](OH)·5H(2)O}(n) (1) and [Ln(TDC)(NO(3))(H(2)O)](n) (TDC = thiophene- 2, 5- dicarboxylic acid; Ln = Nd(2), Sm(3), Eu(4), Gd(5), Tb(6), Dy(7), Ho(8), Er(9), Yb(10)) have been synthesized by solvothermal reaction and characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, TG analysis, single-crystal X-ray diffraction and power X-ray diffraction. The single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis results show that 1 displays a 3-D porous framework with (3,7)-connected {4(10).6(11)}{4(3)} topology. The compounds 2-10 crystallized in the same P2(1)/c space group and exhibits a (3,6)-connected {4.6(2)}(2){4(2).6(10).8(3)} topology, Right-handed and left-handed helical chains coexist in the 2-D layer structure. The luminescence properties of 2-10 and the magnetic properties of 5,7,8,9 were investigated.  相似文献

By reaction of hydrated rare earths chlorides (M = La, Nd, Sm, Gd, Dy, Er, Yb, Y) with orthoformates, the following adducts have been prepared: MCl3· 4MeOH, MCl3 ·3EtOH (M = La, Nd, Sm, Gd, Yb), MCl4 · 4 EtOH (M = Dy, Er, Y); adducts MCl3 · 3iso-PrOH have been prepared by successive action of methyl orthoformate and of 2-propanol. The solubilities of these adducts in the corresponding alcohols at 25° (for the lanthanum adducts equally at 0 and 50°) are given. Two examples of the transsolvatation of these compounds, yielding adducts with weakligands, are described.  相似文献

The Ln[N(SiMe(3))(2)](3)/K dinitrogen reduction system, which mimicks the reactions of the highly reducing divalent ions Tm(II), Dy(II), and Nd(II), has been explored with the entire lanthanide series and uranium to examine its generality and to correlate the observed reactivity with accessibility of divalent oxidation states. The Ln[N(SiMe(3))(2)](3)/K reduction of dinitrogen provides access from readily available starting materials to the formerly rare class of M(2)(mu-eta(2):eta(2)-N(2)) complexes, [[(Me(3)Si)(2)N](2)(THF)Ln](2)(mu-eta(2):eta(2)-N(2)), 1, that had previously been made only from TmI(2), DyI(2), and NdI(2) in the presence of KN(SiMe(3))(2). This LnZ(3)/alkali metal reduction system provides crystallographically characterizable examples of 1 for Nd, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Y, Tm, and Lu. Sodium can be used as the alkali metal as well as potassium. These compounds have NN distances in the 1.258(3) to 1.318(5) A range consistent with formation of an (N=N)(2)(-) moiety. Isolation of 1 with this selection of metals demonstrates that the Ln[N(SiMe(3))(2)](3)/alkali metal reaction can mimic divalent lanthanide reduction chemistry with metals that have calculated Ln(III)/Ln(II) reduction potentials ranging from -2.3 to -3.9 V vs NHE. In the case of Ln = Sm, which has an analogous Ln(III)/Ln(II) potential of -1.55 V, reduction to the stable divalent tris(amide) complex, K[Sm[N(SiMe(3))(2)](3)], is observed instead of dinitrogen reduction. When the metal is La, Ce, Pr, or U, the first crystallographically characterized examples of the tetrakis[bis(trimethylsilyl)amide] anions, [M[N(SiMe(3))(2)](4)](-), are isolated as THF-solvated potassium or sodium salts. The implications of the LnZ(3)/alkali metal reduction chemistry on the mechanism of dinitrogen reduction and on reductive lanthanide chemistry in general are discussed.  相似文献
