Gamma-radiolytic decomposition of zirconium nitrate and its binary mixtures with potassium halides viz. KCl, KBr and KI has been studied at different compositions up to an absorbed dose of 550 kGy. Radiolytic decomposition has been found to decrease with the absorbed dose. It also varies with the concentration of zirconium nitrate in the binary mixtures. G(NO 2 ) values are enhanced by the addition of halides but only at 75% composition. It is not affected so significantly by KI. A plot of G(NO 2 ) vs. composition of the binary mixtures of the nitrates shows a somewhat parabolic curve with a minimum at 75% Zr(NO3)4+25% KX composition. A part of the energy absorbed by the system is being taken up by the halides depending upon their nature and concentration. Thermal decomposition shows slow decomposition, finally yielding an oxynitrate of indefinite composition.  相似文献

Gamma-ray induced decomposition of binary mixtures of potassium nitrate with 90, 70, 50, 30 and 10 mol% SiO2, Al2O3, MnO2, V2O5, La2O3, CeO2, Sm2O3, Eu2O3, Gd2O3 and Dy2O3 has been studied at different doses up to 500 kGy. Radiolytic decomposition of the nitrate is affected by the concentration of the oxide in the binary mixture as well as by the absorbed dose. The enhancement is up to 103 times at 90 mol% of the additive.G(NO2 ) values calculated on the basis of electron fraction of the nitrate decrease with the increasing concentration of the nitrate. A comparison ofG(NO2 ) for 90 mol% oxides shows decreasing trend as Gd2O3>Sm2O3≈Dy2O3> Eu2O3>CeO2>Al2O3>V2O5>SiO2>MnO2. ESR and TL measurements suggest the formation of radical species which interact with the radical species of nitrate causing enhanced decomposition by energy transfer mechanism.  相似文献

Differential potentiometric titrations with two different ion-selective indicator electrodes are described. Ion-selective electrodes for Cl-, Br-, I-, F-, S2-, as well as glass and silver billet electrodes were used. The method was tested in the determination of binary mixtures of halides (Cl-, Br-, I-, and F-) by titration with solutions of silver nitrate, alone and mixed with lanthanum or thorium nitrate as required. Various factors influencing the determination were investigated. Results of simultaneous determinations of mixtures were in good agreement with the results of separate determinations within certain concentration limits. The method was successfully applied to the determination of a four-component halide mixture. Titrations of mixtures of fluoride with thiocyanate or hexacyanoferrate(III), and some other possibilities, are also reported.  相似文献

The density and surface tension of the pure ionic liquid n-butylpyridinium nitrate ([BuPy]NO3) were determined at temperature range from T = (293.15 to 338.15) K. The coefficient of thermal expansion, molecular volume and lattice energy of [BuPy]NO3 were calculated from the experimental values of density. The surface entropy and enthalpy of [BuPy]NO3 were investigated. The IL studied show much lower surface enthalpy and lattice energy in comparison with fused salts. The densities and surface tensions of binary mixtures of [BuPy]NO3 with water have been measured within the whole composition range at T = 298.15 K and atmospheric pressure. Excess molar volumes VE and surface tension deviations δγ were then deduced from the experimental results as well as partial molar volumes and excess partial molar volumes. Excess molar volumes have a negative deviation from ideal behavior and the surface tension deviations are negative over the whole compositions range. VE and δγ were correlated with suitable equation respectively.  相似文献

Qualitative analysis by computer decomposition of fluorescence spectra by means of the program SPECSOLV is discussed. Concentration studies of naphthacene in benzene and mixture analyses of single and binary solutions of anthracene, naphthacene, naphthalene,and rubrene are reported. The results demonstrate the ability to separate solvent and sample spectral contributions, and to assign component peaks in the case of mixtures. Semi-quantitative results are presented, and the feasibility of extending the study to computersearch systems based on component characterization of fluorescence spectra is discussed.  相似文献

New experimental data of densities and surface tensions are presented for the binary mixtures of the ionic liquid 1-ethyl-3- methyl imidazolium nitrate([EMIM]NO3) with methanol and ethanol.Measurements were performed at 298.15 K and atmospheric pressure,covering the whole composition range.Excess molar volumes VE and the surface tension deviations Sy have been determined.For the excess molar volumes of binary mixture,there is a region of negative VE at low IL mole fraction,passing through a minimum and then VE increases and becomes positive,showing maximum at higher IL mole fraction.It is shown that the surface tension deviations Sy of[EMIM]NO3 + methanol system are positive but those of[EMIM]NO3 + ethanol system are negative over the entire mole fraction range.  相似文献

The effect of water and sulfuric acid additives on the thermal decomposition rate of ammonium nitrate and sulfate mixtures was examined. 1,2,4-triazole-3-one (TO) and guanidine nitrate (GN) have the potential to be used as alternative gas-generating agents. To obtain a better understanding of thermal decomposition properties of TO/GN mixtures, sealed cell differential scanning calorimetry, thermogravimetry–differential thermal analysis–infrared spectroscopy (TG–DTA–IR), and thermogravimetry–differential thermal analysis–mass spectrometry (TG–DTA–MS) were carried out. The endothermic peak and onset temperatures of TO/GN mixtures were lower than those of individual TO and GN. TG–DTA–IR and TG–DTA–MS showed that the mass of TO/GN mixtures decreased with heat generation and N2 evolved as the major gas during thermal decomposition. The interaction between TO and nitric acid from the dissociation of GN is proposed for the thermal decomposition of TO/GN mixtures.  相似文献

The objective of this investigation was to verify the degradation of endrin by gamma irradiation. 60Co was used as radiation source for irradiation of 50 mg L?1 endrin with a varied dose of 1–6 kGy. High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) coupled with diode array detector was used as an analytical technique to monitor the degradation rate along with numbers of degradation products formed. At dose rate of 6 kGy ≥99% of endrin was degraded. It is proposed that utilization of ionization radiations can be an effective and efficient tool for the removal of halogenated pesticides.  相似文献

The kinetics of the non-isothermal decomposition of potassium nickel(II) oxalate in air were studied for non-irradiated and irradiated crystals using thermogravimetric techniques. Analysis of kinetic data were performed using the direct differential method, the integral methods due to Coats-Redfern, Ozawa and a composite integral method. The results of the kinetic analysis of dynamic data and the effects of radiation were discussed and compared with those obtained under isothermal conditions.  相似文献

The thermal decomposition reaction of acetone cyclic triperoxide, acetone cyclic diperoxide, 4‐heptanone cyclic diperoxide, and pinacolone cyclic diperoxide ca. 0.02 M was studied in pure solvents (acetone and 1‐propanol) and in binary mixtures of acetone/1‐propanol at 150°C. The kinetics of each system was explored by gas chromatography (GC) at different solvent compositions. The reactions showed a behavior accordingly with a pseudo‐first‐order kinetic law up to at least 90% peroxide decomposition. The main organic products derived from these thermolysis reactions were detected by GC analysis. Among them, the corresponding ketones, methane, ethane, and propane were the main identified products. The rates of decomposition of pinacolone diperoxide in the pure solvents were practically independent of the solvent characteristics, so it was of no interest to analyze its kinetic behavior in binary solvent mixtures. In acetone/1‐propanol mixtures, the solvation effect on the cyclic peroxides derived from 4‐heptanone and acetone molecules was slightly dominated by specific interactions between 1‐propanol and a diradical‐activated complex initially formed. This species was preferentially solvated by 1‐propanol instead of acetone. Specific interactions between the O atoms from the peroxidic bond and the H from the OH in 1‐propanol can be taken into account. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Dissolution of -irradiated chlorides of sodium and potassium in a solution of NaNO3 and KI results in the formation of NO 2 and iodine as stable products. The variation in the yields of the products with the amount of irradiated salts is studied. The effect of photoannealing of the irradiated salts on the yields of nitrate and iodine in the mixture is discussed on the basis of photoannealing reactions of the colour centres.  相似文献

A rapid method for the determination of nitrate and nitrite ions is described. The potential of a mixture of nitrate and nitrite was measured with a nitrate ion selective electrode. The nitrite in the mixture is then oxidized to nitrate with permanganate in acid solution, and the potential of the oxidized solution is also measured with the electrode. The fundamental equations for the response of the nitrate ion electrode to nitrate ion in the presence of interfering ions were used, and a new equation was developed for calculating the original nitrate concentration of the mixture. The absolute errors for solutions of known concentrations (2.5–100 p.p.m. each) were 1.8 p.p.m. nitrate and 2 p.p.m. nitrite. When the results are calculated by computer, five determinations can be performed in 30 min. The method was applied to the determination of the oxides of nitrogen in cigarette smoke as nitrite and nitrate after dissolution in basic solution.  相似文献
