量子相干性是量子信息处理的基本要素,在量子计算中扮演着重要的角色.为了便于讨论量子相干性在量子计算中的作用,本文从离散Wigner函数角度对量子相干性进行了探讨.首先对奇素数维量子系统的离散Wigner函数进行了分析,分离出表征相干性的部分,提出了一种可能的基于离散Wigner函数的量子相干性度量方法,并对其进行了量子相干性度量规范的分析;同时也比较了该度量与l_1范数相干性度量之间的关系.重要的是,这种度量方法能够明确给出量子相干性程度与衡量量子态量子计算加速能力的负性和之间不等式关系,由此可以解析地解释量子相干性仅是量子计算加速的必要条件.  相似文献

The necessary and sufficient conditions are found under which the Wigner distribution function conserves (i) positivity, and (ii) factorization. The proof is based on the study of the continuous representation of three-dimensional linear-canonical-transformed minimum-uncertainty-states. The validity of (i) and (ii) for all initial conditions leads to quadratic Hamiltonians; when the condition is relaxed to the validity for only some initial conditions, non-quadratic systems are obtained. In all the above cases, the Wigner function is a true probability and follows the classical trajectory in phase space. The calculational advantage of the method here proposed is shown in the study of parabolic tunneling in a uniform magnetic field.  相似文献

Using spin density functional theory within the framework of the local spin density approximation with Perdew-Zunger type exchange-correlation energy, ferromagnetism in a quasi-two-dimensional electron gas (Q-2DEG) is studied. The electronic and magnetic structures of a thin film are calculated as a function of film thickness and electron density. Ferromagnetism in the Q-2DEG is found to appear at a higher electron density than in the three-dimensional electron gas. Unless a film is very thin, with decreasing electron density, a magnetic phase transition occurs from a spin-unpolarized fluid to a Wigner film with surface magnetism, in which the spin polarization localizes only in the neighborhood of surfaces. Further decreasing density induces another transition to a fully spin-polarized ferromagnetic Wigner film.  相似文献

For entangled three particles one should treat their wave function as a whole, there is no physical meaning talking about the wave function (or Wigner function) for any one of the tripartite, therefore thinking of the entangled Wigner function (Wigner operator) is of necessity, we introduce the entangled Wigner operator related to a pair of mutually conjugate tripartite entangled state representations and discuss some of its new properties, such as the trace product rule, the size of an entangled quantum state and the upper bound of the three-mode Wigner function. Deriving wave function from its corresponding tripartite entangled Wigner function is also presented. Those new properties of the tripartite entangled Wigner function play significant role in quantum physics because they provide us deeper insight into the shape of quantum states.  相似文献

The Wigner representation of a quantum state, corresponding to a classically integrable Hamiltonian, has been shown to be intimately tied to a classical phase space torus of the same energy. The fact that the semiclassical approximation of the Wigner function there derived turns out to be singular on the torus, as well as on the “Wigner caustic” which contains it, is due to well known limitations of the stationary phase method. The uniform approximation, here derived, does indeed ascribe to the Wigner function a high amplitude along the Wigner caustic, but this is modulated by rapid oscillations except at the torus itself. Asymptotic expansion away from the torus leads back to the semiclassical approximation. Close to the torus the Wigner function is described by a simple transitional approximation which can be resolved into a product of Wigner functions corresponding to one dimensional tori. These results permit one to explicitly project the Wigner function onto any (Lagrangian) coordinate plane so as to obtain the corresponding wave intensity.  相似文献

We study the problem of measurement-induced decoherence using the phase-space approach employing the Gaussian-smoothed Wigner distribution function. Our investigation is based on the notion that measurement-induced decoherence is represented by the transition from the Wigner distribution to the Gaussian-smoothed Wigner distribution with the widths of the smoothing function identified as measurement errors. We also compare the smoothed Wigner distribution with the corresponding distribution resulting from the classical analysis. The distributions we computed are the phase-space distributions for simple one-dimensional dynamical systems such as a particle in a square-well potential and a particle moving under the influence of a step potential, and the time-frequency distributions for high-harmonic radiation emitted from an atom irradiated by short, intense laser pulses.  相似文献

The Wigner function for the Dirac oscillator in spinor space is studied in this paper. Firstly, since the Dirac equation is described as a matrix equation in phase space, it is necessary to define the Wigner function as a matrix function in spinor space. Secondly, the matrix form of the Wigner function is proven to support the Dirac equation. Thirdly, by solving the Dirac equation, energy levels and the Wigner function for the Dirac oscillator in spinor space are obtained.  相似文献

Ultimately, the amendment of Wigner function and energy of one dimensional infinite potential well and one dimensional harmonic oscillator under perturbation are calculated according to stationary phase space perturbation theory.  相似文献

The transition from two-dimensional (2D) to three-dimensional (3D) classical artificial atoms is studied. As a function of the confinement strength perpendicular to the plane, first- and second-order structural transitions are observed, which change the 2D ring structure into a layered structure and finally into the 3D shell structure in the case of a spherical confinement potential. A clear structural analogy exists between the infinite bilayer Wigner crystal (BLWC) and our finite system when the confinement is such that a bilayer structure exists in the central part of the atom.  相似文献

Both the negativity of Wigner function and the phase sensitivity of an SU(1,1) interferometer are investigated in this paper. In the case that the even coherent state and squeezed vacuum state are input into the interferometer, the Heisenberg limit can be approached with parity detection. At the same time, the negativity volume of Wigner function of detection mode comes entirely from the input state and varies periodically with the encoding phase. In addition, the negativity volume of Wigner function is positively correlated with the phase sensitivity of the SU(1,1) interferometer. The positive correlation may mean that the non-classicality indicated by negative Wigner function is a kind of resource that can verify some related research results of phase estimation.  相似文献

The master equation for a linear open quantum system in a general environment is derived using a stochastic approach. This is an alternative derivation to that of Hu, Paz, and Zhang, which was based on the direct computation of path integrals, or to that of Halliwell and Yu, based on the evolution of the Wigner function for a linear closed quantum system. We first show by using the influence functional formalism that the reduced Wigner function for the open system coincides with a distribution function resulting from averaging both over the initial conditions and the stochastic source of a formal Langevin equation. The master equation for the reduced Wigner function can then be deduced as a Fokker-Planck equation obtained from the formal Langevin equation.  相似文献

We calculate the Wigner distribution function for the Calogero-Sutherland system which consists of harmonic and inverse-square interactions. The Wigner distribution function is separated out into two parts corresponding to the relative and center-of-mass motions. A general expression for the relative Wigner function is obtained in terms of the Laguerre polynomials by introducing a new identity between Hermite and Laguerre polynomials.  相似文献

The symbolic method (including normal ordering. antinormal ordering and Weyl ordering symbol) is usually utilized to tackle miscellaneous operators which have different commutative relations. Considering the Weyl ordering symbol’s remarkable properties, we have efficiently and conveniently derived the Wigner distribution function for field damping in a squeezed bath and a vacuum bath respectively, and then examined the decoherence processes from the plots of Wigner function and its contour in quantum phase space. We discuss nonclassicality of a superposition of coherent states in terms of sub-Poissonian photon statistics as well as the negativity of the Wigner function. We derive an analytic expression for the Wigner function from which we find that the function has some negative region in phase space. We obtain a compact form of the Wigner function when decoherence occurs and study the effect of decoherence on the state. We demonstrate the behaviour of the nonclassicality indicator.  相似文献
