The complexes of Cr(III), Mn(II) and Ni(II) were synthesized with macrocyclic ligand i.e. 5,11-dimethyl-6,12-diethyl-dione-1,2,4,7,9,10-hexazacyclododeca -1,4,6,10-tetraene. The ligand (L) was prepared by [2+2] condensation reaction of 2,3-pentanedione and semicarbazide hydrochloride. These complexes were found to have the general composition [Cr(L)X(2)]X and [M(L)X(2)] (where M=Mn(II) and Ni(II); X=Cl(-), NO(3)(-), (1/2)SO(4)(2-), NCS(-) and L=ligand [N(6)]). The ligand and its transition metal complexes were characterized by the elemental analysis, molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility, mass, IR, electronic and EPR spectral studies. On the basis of IR, electronic and EPR spectral studies, an octahedral geometry has been assigned for these complexes except sulphato complexes which are of five coordinated geometry.  相似文献

Nickel(II) and copper(II) complexes are synthesized with a novel tetradentate macrocyclic ligand, i.e. 2,6,12,16,21,22-hexaaza;3,5,13,15-tetraphenyltricyclo[15,3,1,1(7-11)] docosa;1(21),2,5,7,9,11(22),12,15,17,19-decaene (L) and characterized by the elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility measurements, mass, (1)H NMR, IR, electronic and EPR spectral studies. All the complexes are non-electrolytic in nature. Thus, these may be formulated as [M(L)X(2)] [M=Ni(II), Cu(II) and X=Cl(-), NO(3)(-) and (1/2)SO(4)(2-)]. Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes show magnetic moments corresponding to two and one unpaired electron, respectively. On the basis of IR, electronic and EPR spectral studies an octahedral geometry has been assigned for Ni(II) and tetragonal geometry for Cu(II) complexes.  相似文献

The complexes of Cr(III), Mn(II), Fe(III) and Cu(II) were synthesized with the macrocyclic ligand i.e. 2,3,9,10-tetraketo-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane. The ligand was prepared by the [2 + 2] condensation reaction of diethyloxalate and 1,3-diamino propane. These complexes were found to have the general composition M(L)X3 and M'(L)X2 [where M = Mn(II) and Cu(II), M' = Cr(III) and Fe(III), L = ligand (N4) and X = Cl-, NO3-, 1/2SO4(2-) and [CH3COO-]. The ligand and its transition metal complexes were characterized by the elemental analyses, molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility, mass, IR, electronic, and EPR spectral studies. On the basis of IR, electronic and EPR spectral studies an octahedral geometry has been assigned for Cr(III), Mn(II) and Fe(III) and a tetragonal geometry for Cu(II) complexes.  相似文献

Palladium(II) and platinum(II) complexes having the general composition [M(L)] X2 (where M=Pd(II) and Pt(II), L=3,4,12,13-tetraphenyl-2,5,11,14,19,20-hexaaza tricyclo [13.3.1.1.(6-10)] cosa-1(19), 2,4,6,8,10,(20),11,13,15,17-decaene (L1); 3,4,13,14-tetraphenyl-2,5,12,15-tetraaza tricyclo [11,0,0,(6-11)] cosa-1(16),2,4,7,9,6(11),12,14,17, 19-decaene (L2); 2,3,8,9-tetraphenyl-1,4,7,10-tetraaza cyclododeca-1,3,7,9-tetraene (L3) and X=Cl(-)) have been synthesized. The ligands were characterized on the basis of elemental analyses, IR, 1H NMR and EI mass spectral studies while that of the complexes were characterized on the basis of elemental analyses, molar conductance measurements, magnetic susceptibility measurements, IR, and electronic spectral techniques. All the complexes were found to be diamagnetic. The structures consist of monomeric units in which the Pd(II) and Pt(II) atoms exhibit square planar geometry.  相似文献

Schiff base tetraazamacrocyclic ligand, L (C(40)H(28)N(4)) and its complexes of types, [MLX(2)] and [CuL]X(2) (M=Co(II), Ni(II), Zn(II); X=Cl(-), NO(3)(-)) were synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, mass, (1)H NMR, IR, UV-vis, magnetic susceptibility and molar conductance data. An octahedral geometry has been proposed for all the complexes except the copper(II) complexes which have a square planar environment. The reducing power of the Co(II) and Cu(II) complexes have been checked and compared. The ligand (L) and its complexes have also been screened against different fungi and bacteria in vitro.  相似文献

Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and UO(2)(II) complexes with the ligand 2-tert-butylaminomethylpyridine-6-carboxylic acid methylester (HL(2)) have been prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductance, magnetic moment, thermal analysis and spectral data. 1:1 M:HL(2) complexes, with the general formula [M(HL(2))X(2)].nH(2)O (where M = Co(II) (X = Cl, n = 0), Ni(II) (X = Cl, n = 3), Cu(II) (grey colour, X = AcO, n = 1), Cu(II) (yellow colour, X = Cl, n = 0) and Zn(II) (X = Br, n = 0). In addition, the Fe(III) and UO(2)(II) complexes of the type 1:2 M:HL(2) and with the formulae [Fe(L(2))(2)]Cl and [UO(2)(HL(2))(2)](NO(3))(2) are prepared. From the IR data, it is seen that HL(2) ligand behaves as a terdentate ligand coordinated to the metal ions via the pyridyl N, carboxylate O and protonated NH group; except the Fe(III) complex, it coordinates via the deprotonated NH group. This is supported by the molar conductance data, which show that all the complexes are non-electrolytes, while the Fe(III) and UO(2)(II) complexes are 1:1 electrolytes. IR and H1-NMR spectral studies suggest a similar behaviour of the Zn(II) complex in solid and solution states. From the solid reflectance spectral data and magnetic moment measurements, the complexes have a trigonal bipyramidal (Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) complexes) and octahedral (Fe(III), UO(2)(II) complexes) geometrical structures. The thermal behaviour of the complexes is studied and the different dynamic parameters are calculated applying Coats-Redfern equation.  相似文献

Complexes of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Pd(II) and Pt(II) were synthesized with the macrocyclic ligand, i.e., 2,3,9,10-tetraketo-1,4,8,11-tetraazacycoletradecane. The ligand was prepared by the [2 + 2] condensation of diethyloxalate and 1,3-diamino propane and characterized by elemental analysis, mass, IR and 1H NMR spectral studies. All the complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility measurements, IR, electronic and electron paramagnetic resonance spectral studies. The molar conductance measurements of Mn(II), Co(II) and Ni(II) complexes in DMF correspond to non electrolyte nature, whereas Pd(II) and Pt(II) complexes are 1:2 electrolyte. On the basis of spectral studies an octahedral geometry has been assigned for Mn(II), Co(II) and Ni(II) complexes, whereas square planar geometry assigned for Pd(II) and Pt(II). In vitro the ligand and its metal complexes were evaluated against plant pathogenic fungi (Fusarium odum, Aspergillus niger and Rhizoctonia bataticola) and some compounds found to be more active as commercially available fungicide like Chlorothalonil.  相似文献

The 12- and 14-membered diazadioxo macrocyclic ligands, 1,2?:?7,8-diphenyl-6,9-diaza-3,12-dioxocyclododecane (L1) and 1,2?:?8,9-diphenyl-7,10-diaza-3,14-dioxocyclotetradecane (L2), were synthesized by condensation between o-phenylenediamine, 1,2-dibromoethane/1,3-dibromopropane, and catechol. Metal complexes [ML1Cl2] and [ML2Cl2] [M?=?Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II)] were prepared by interaction of L1 or L2 with metal(II) chlorides. The ligands and their complexes were characterized by elemental analyses, IR, 1H, and 13C NMR, EPR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, magnetic susceptibility, conductivity measurements, and Electrospray ionization-mass spectral (ESI-MS) studies. The results of elemental analyses, ESI-MS, Job's method, and conductivity measurements confirmed the stoichiometry of ligands and their complexes while absorption bands and resonance peaks in IR and NMR spectra confirmed the formation of ligand framework around the metal ions. Stereochemistry was inferred from the UV-Vis, EPR, and magnetic moment studies.  相似文献

All the Cu(II) complexes reported here have been characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductance, magnetic moment susceptibility, EI mass, (1)H NMR, IR, EPR, and electronic spectral studies. All the complexes were found to have magnetic moments corresponding to one unpaired electrons. The possible geometries of the complexes were assigned on the basis of EPR, electronic, and infrared spectral studies.  相似文献

A novel hexadentate nitrogen donor [N6] macrocyclic ligand, i.e. 2,6,12,16,21,22-hexaaza-3,5,13,15-tetramethyl-4,14-diethyl-tricyclo-[15.3.1.1(7-11)]docosane-1(21),2,5,7(22),8,10,12,15,17,19-decaene (L), has been synthesized. Copper(II) complexes with this ligand have been prepared and subjected to elemental analyses, molar conductance measurements, magnetic susceptibility measurements, mass, 1H NMR (ligand), IR, electronic, and EPR spectral studies. On the basis of molar conductance the complexes may be formulated as [Cu(L)X2] [X = Cl(-), Br(-), NO3(-) and CH3COO(-)] due to their nonelectrolytic nature in N,N'-dimethylformamide (DMF). All the complexes are of the high spin type and are six coordinated. On the basis of IR, electronic and EPR spectral studies tetragonal geometry has been assigned to the Cu(II) complexes. The interaction of these complexes with calf thymus DNA has been explored by using absorption, emission, viscosity measurements, electrochemical studies and DNA cleavage. All the experimental results suggest that the complexes bind to DNA and also promote the cleavage plasmid pBR 322, in the presence of H2O2 and ascorbic acid.  相似文献

Manganese(II), cobalt(II), nickel(II), and copper(II) complexes are synthesized with a novel tetradentate ligand, viz. 1,5,9,13-tetraaza-6,14-dioxo-8,16-diphenylcyclohexadecane (L) and characterized by the elemental analysis, molar conductance measurements, magnetic susceptibility measurements, mass, 1H NMR, IR, electronic, and EPR spectral studies. The molar conductance measurements of the complexes in DMSO correspond to be nonelectrolyte nature for Mn(II), Co(II), and Cu(II) whereas 1:2 electrolytes for Ni(II) complexes. Thus, these complexes may be formulated as [M(L)X(2)] and [Ni(L)]X(2), respectively (where M = Mn(II), Co(II), and Cu(II) and X = Cl- and NO(3-)). On the basis of IR, electronic, and EPR spectral studies an octahedral geometry has been assigned for Mn(II) and Co(II) complexes, square-planar for Ni(II) whereas tetragonal for Cu(II) complexes. The ligand and its complexes were also evaluated against the growth of bacteria and pathogenic fungi in vitro.  相似文献

All the complexes were found to have general composition M(L)X2 [where M = manganese(II), cobalt(II), nickel(II) and copper(II) and X = Cl- & NO3-]. All the complexes are characterized by the elemental analysis, molar conductance measurements, magnetic susceptibility measurements, mass, 1H NMR, IR, electronic, EPR spectral and cyclic voltammetric studies. A novel hexadentate nitrogen-sulphur donor [N(4)S(2)] macrocyclic ligand, i.e. 3,13-dithio-6,10,16,20-tetraoxo-8,18-dithia-1,2,4,5,11,12,14,15-octaazacyclocosane (L), has been synthesized. Cobalt (II) complexes of this ligand have been prepared and subjected to elemental analyses, molar conductance measurements, magnetic moment susceptibility measurements, mass, (1)H NMR (Ligand), IR, electronic, and EPR spectral studies. On the basis of molar conductance, complexes may be formulated as [Co(2)(L)X(2)]X(2) [where X=Cl(-), Br(-), NO(3)(-) and NCS(-)] due to their 1:2 electrolytic nature in dimethylformamide (DMF). All the complexes are of the high spin type and are four coordinated. On the basis of IR, electronic and EPR spectral studies tetrahedral geometry has been assigned to all the complexes. The antimicrobial activities of the ligand and its complexes, as growth inhibiting agents, have been screened in vitro against several species of bacteria and plant pathogenic fungi.  相似文献

Chromium(III), manganese(II), iron(III), cobalt(II), nickel(II), copper(II), ruthenium(III), iridium(III), palladium(II) and platinum(II) complexes were synthesized with a 12-membered 1,4,7,10-tetraazadodeca-5,6,11,12-tetraene macrocylic ligand (L) and characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility, IR, electronic, EPR and M?ssbauer [Fe(III)] spectral studies. The molar conductance measurements of all the complexes in DMF solution correspond to non-electrolytic nature for M(L)Cl2 complexes [where M=Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II)], 1:1 electrolytes for M'(L)Cl3 complexes [where M'=Cr(III), Fe(III), Ru(III) and Ir(III)] and 1:2 electrolytes for M'(L)Cl2 complexes [where M'=Pd(II) and Pt(II)]. Thus, the complexes may be formulated as [M(L)C1(2)], [M'(L)C1(2)]C1 and [M'(L)]C1(2), respectively [where L=ligand]. All complexes were of the high-spin type and found to have six-coordinate octahedral geometry except the Pd(II) and Pt(II) complexes which were four coordinate, square planar and diamagnetic.  相似文献

Novel hexachlorocyclodiphosph(V)azane of sulfaguanidine, H(4)L, l,3-[N'-amidino-sulfanilamide]-2,2,2,4,4,4-hexachlorocyclodiphosph(V)azane was prepared and its coordination behaviour towards the transition metal ions Fe(III), Fe(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II) and UO(2)(II) was studied. The structures of the isolated products are proposed based on elemental analyses, IR, UV-vis, (1)H NMR, mass spectra, reflectance, magnetic susceptibility measurements and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The hyperfine interactions in the isolated complex compounds were studied using 14.4keV gamma-ray from radioactive (57)Co (M?ssbauer spectroscopy). The data show that the ligand are coordinated to the metal ions via the sulfonamide O and deprotonated NH atoms in an octahedral manner. The H(4)L ligand forms complexes of the general formulae [(MX(z))(2)(H(2)L)H(2)O)(n)] and [(FeSO(4))(2) (H(4)L) (H(2)O)(4)], where X=NO(3) in case of UO(2)(II) and Cl in case of Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II). The molar conductance data show that the complexes are non-electrolytes. The thermal behaviour of the complexes was studied and different thermodynamic parameters were calculated using Coats-Redfern method. Most of the prepared complexes showed high bactericidal activity and some of the complexes show more activity compared with the ligand and standards.  相似文献

Ru(III), Rh(III), Pt(IV) and Ir(III) complexes of 2-furfural thiosemicarbazone as ligand have been synthesised. These complexes have the composition [M(ligand)2X2]X (M = Ru(III) Rh(III) and Ir(III) X = Cl and Br) and [Pt(ligand)2 X2] X2 (X = Cl, Br and 1/2SO4). The deprotonated ligand forms the complexes of the formulae M(ligand-H)3 and Pt(ligand-H)3Cl. All these complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, magnetic measurements, electronic and infrared spectral studies. All the complexes are six-coordinate octahedral.  相似文献

Heterobi- and tri-nuclear complexes [LMM'Cl] and [(LM) 2 M'](M=Ni or Cu and M'=Mn, Fe or Co) have been synthesised. The heteronuclear complexes were prepared by stepwise reactions using two mononuclear Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes of the general formula [HLM]·1/2H 2 O, as ligands towards the metal ions, Mn(II), Fe(III) and Co(II). The asymmetrical pentadentate (N 2 O 3 ) Schiff-base ligands used were prepared by condensing acetoacetylphenol and ethylenediamine, molar ratio 1 1, to yield a half-unit compound which was further condensed with either salicylaldehyde or naphthaldehyde to yield the ligands H 3 L 1 and H 3 L 2 which possess two dissimilar coordination sites, an inner four-coordinate N 2 O 2 donor set and an outer three-coordinated O 2 O set. 1 H NMR and IR spectra indicate that the Ni(II) and Cu(II) ions are bonded to the inner N 2 O 2 sites of the ligands leaving their outer O 2 O sites vacant for further coordination. Different types of products were obtained according to the type of metal ion. These products differ in stoichiometry according to the type of ligand in the parent compound. Electronic spectra and magnetic moments indicate that the structures of the parent Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes are square-planar while the geometry around Fe(III), Mn(II) and Co(II) in their products are octahedral as elucidated from IR, UV-visible, ESR, 1 H NMR, mass spectrometry and magnetic moments.  相似文献

A series of metal complexes were synthesized from equimolar amounts of Schiff bases: 1,4-bis[3-(2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldimine)propyl]piperazine (bappnaf) and 1,8-bis[3-(2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldimine)-p-menthane (damnaf) with metal chlorides. All of synthesized compounds were characterized by elemental analyses, spectral (UV-vis, IR, (1)H-(13)C NMR, LC-MS) and thermal (TGA-DTA) methods, magnetic and conductance measurements. Schiff base complexes supposed in tetragonal geometry have the general formula [M(bappnaf or damnaf)]Cl.nH(2)O, where M=Cr(III), Co(III) and n=2, 3. But also Fe(III) complexes have octahedral geometry by the coordination of two water molecules and the formula is [Fe(bappnaf or damnaf)(H(2)O)(2)]Cl. The changes in the selected vibration bands in FT-IR indicate that Schiff bases behave as (ONNO) tetradentate ligands and coordinate to metal ions from two phenolic oxygen atoms and two azomethine nitrogen atoms. Conductance measurements suggest 1:1 electrolytic nature of the metal complexes. The synthesized compounds except bappnaf ligand have the antimicrobial activity against the bacteria: Escherichia coli (ATCC 11230), Yersinia enterocolitica (ATCC 1501), Bacillus magaterium (RSKK 5117), Bacillus subtilis (RSKK 244), Bacillus cereus (RSKK 863) and the fungi: Candida albicans (ATCC 10239). These results have been considerably interest in piperazine derivatives due to their significant applications in antimicrobial studies.  相似文献
