A new calculation for the total cross section of positron-sodium scattering is performed in an energy range down to a few tenths of one electron volt using the coupled-channel optical method.The ionization continuum and the positronium formation channels are included via an equivalent-local complex potential.The role played by the break-up and rearrangement processes in the low energy positron-sodium scattering is also investigated.The total scattering cross section is reported and compared with the available theoretical and experimental data.  相似文献

Absolute total electron scattering cross sections for carbon dioxide have been measured at low electron energies using a photoelectron source. The measurements have been carried out at 27 electron energies varying from 0.91–9.14 eV with an accuracy of ±3%. The cross sections obtained in the present experiment have been compared with other measurements and theoretical computations.  相似文献

利用可加性规则,使用Hartree-Fock波函数,采用由束缚原子概念修正过的复光学势(由静电势、极化势及吸收势三部分组成),在30—3000eV内对正电子被CO,HCl,NH3和SiH4散射的总截面进行了计算,且将计算结果与实验结果及其他理论计算结果进行了比较.结果表明,利用被束缚原子概念修正过的复光学势及可加性规则进行计算,所得结果与实验结果的符合程度要比利用未被束缚原子概念修正的复光学势及可加性规则进行计算得到的结果好很多.因此,在复光学势中采用束缚原子概念可提高正电子被分子散射的总截面的计算准确度. 关键词: 正电子散射 可加性规则 束缚原子 总截面  相似文献

在考虑分子内成键原子间的电子云重叠效应的基础上,提出了一种能够准确计算“中、高能电子-分子”散射的微分截面、动量转移截面及弹性积分截面的修正势方法.利用可加性规则、使用Hartree-Fock波函数并采用被这一方法修正过的复光学势,在100—1000eV内对电子被SO2分子散射的微分截面、动量转移截面及弹性积分截面进行了计算,并将计算结果与实验及其他理论结果进行比较.结果表明,利用这一修正过的复光学势及可加性规则获得的微分截面比利用未修正的复光学势及可加性规则得到的结果准确得多,计算得到的动量转移截面及弹性积分截面在入射电子能量不低于200eV时也都比较接近实验值.  相似文献

The additivity rule for electron-molecule scattering is revised by considering the difference between the free atom and the bound atom in the molecule.The total cross sections for electron scattering from fluoromethanes(CF4,CF3H,CF2H2,and CFH3) are calculated in an energy range from 100 eV to 1500 eV by the revised additivity rule.The present calculations are compared with the original additivity rule results and the available experimental data.Better agreement with each other is obtained.  相似文献

The elastic differential cross sections(DCS)for electron scattering from CF 4 are calculated at six impact energies(in 100—700 eV)employing the independent atom model(IAM)with partial waves. A complex optical model potential modified by incorporating the concept of bonded atom, which takes into consideration the overlapping effect of electron clouds between atoms in a molecule, is firstly employed to calculate the absolute differential, elastic integrated and moment transfer cross sections for electron scattering by OCS over the incident energy range from 200 to 1000\,eV using the additivity rule model at Hartree--Fock level. The calculated results are compared with those obtained by experiment and other theories wherever available, and good agreement is obtained over a wide energy range. It is shown that the additivity rule model together with the modified potential is completely suitable for calculating the absolute differential, elastic integrated and moment transfer cross sections of electron scattering by molecules such as OCS.  相似文献

We have suggested a new parameterization scheme for determining the reaction cross section at intermediate beam energies which reproduces the experimental data very well over a wide range of targets and projectiles both normal as well as exotic. Absolute total electron scattering cross sections for nitrous oxide have been measured at low electron energies using a photoelectron source. The measurements have been carried out at 19 electron energies varying from 0.73–9.14 eV with an accuracy of ±3%. A complex optical model potential modified by the concept of bonded atom, which takes into consideration the overlapping effect of electron clouds, is employed to calculate the total cross sections for electrons scattering from simple molecules (SO2, H2S, OCS, CS2 and SO3) containing the larger atom, sulfur, at 30-5000eV by using the additivity rule model at Hartree-Fock level. The quantitative molecular total cross section results are compared with those obtained in experiments and other calculations wherever available, and good agreement is obtained. It is shown that the additivity rule model together with the complex optical model potential modified by the concept of bonded atom can give the results closer to the experiments than the one unmodified by it. So, the introduction of bonded-atom concept in complex optical model potential betters the accuracy of the total cross section calculations of electrons from the molecules containing the larger atom, sulfur.  相似文献

The original additivity rule method cannot give good results for electron scattering from SO,SO2,SO2Cl2,SO2ClF,and SO2F2 molecules at low energy,because the electron-molecule scattering is simply reduced to electron-atom scattering.Considering the difference between the bound atom in a molecule and the corresponding free atom,the original additivity rule is revised.With the revised additivity rule,the total cross sections for electron scattering from these molecules are calculated over a wide energy range below 3000 eV and compared with the available experimental and theoretical data.A better agreement between them is obtained.  相似文献

A complex optical model potential modified by incorporating the concept of bonded atom, with the overlapping effect of electron clouds between two atoms in a molecule taken into consideration, is firstly employed to calculate the differential cross sections, elastic integral cross sections, and moment transfer cross sections for electron scattering from molecular nitrogen over the energy range 300—1000eV by using additivity rule model at Hartree—Fock level. The bonded-atom concept is used in the study of the complex optical model potential composed of static, exchange, correlation polarization and absorption contributions. The calculated quantitative molecular differential cross sections, elastic integral cross sections, and moment transfer cross sections are compared with the experimental and theoretical ones wherever available, and they are found to be in good agreement with each other. It is shown that the additivity rule model together with the complex optical model potential modified by incorporating the concept of bonded atom is completely suitable for the calculations of differential cross section, elastic integral cross section and moment transfer cross section over the intermediate- and high-energy ranges.  相似文献

An analytic expression of the potential energy surface (PES) of the ground state of the Ne-HF complex is obtained by utilizing nonlinear least square method to fit the intermolecular interaction energies [Zhang Y. Guizhou Science, 2003, 21(3): 9–13 (in Chinese)], which have been computed using the augmented correlation-consistent polarized quadruple zeta basis set aug-cc-pVQZ at the theoretical level of CCSD (T). On the basis of the PES, the partial cross sections (PCSs) at the incident energies of 60, 75, 100 and 150 meV for collisions between Ne atoms and HF molecules are calculated using the quantum close coupling approach. The effects of the long-range attractive and the short-range anisotropic interactions on the inelastic PCSs are discussed in detail. The results show: (1) The long-range attractive well of the EPS makes the significant contribution to the lower excitation PCSs, especially the tail maximum for j = 0→j′ = 1 transitions, whereas no contribution is to the j′⩾3 inelastic transitions. (2) The short-range (the repulsive and attractive) interaction makes the significant contribution to the lower excitation PCSs, especially the main peak for j = 0→j′ = 1, 2. As for the transitions of j′⩾3, the short-range interaction plays a key role in the inelastic excitation. (3) Although the positions of the maximums and minimums of the inelastic PCSs are different at the collision energies, they correspond to almost the same impact parameter. The first-order non-eikonal correction has been applied to calculate heavy-ion reaction cross sections at low energies. The numerical investigations show that, for many heavy-ion systems, reaction cross sections and elastic scattering angular distributions thus calculated, are in good agreement with the optical model calculations.  相似文献
