We investigate differential operators and their compatibility with subgroups of SL2n(R). In particular, we construct Rankin-Cohen brackets for Hilbert modular forms, and more generally, multilinear differential operators on the space of Hilbert modular forms. As an application, we explicitly determine the Rankin-Cohen bracket of a Hilbert-Eisenstein series and an arbitrary Hilbert modular form. We use this result to compute the Petersson inner product of such a bracket and a Hilbert modular cusp form.  相似文献

In this paper, I discuss the construction of the p-adic L-function attached to a Hilbert modular form f, supersingular or ordinary, which turns out to be the non-archimedean Mellin transform of an h-admissible measure. And h is explicitly given. As a special case, when the Fourier coefficient of f at p|p is zero, plus/minus p-adic L-functions are furthermore defined as bounded functions, and they interpolate special values of L(f,χ,s) for cyclotomic characters χ. This can be used to formulate Iwasawa main conjecture for supersingular elliptic curve defined over a totally real field.  相似文献

We show that if F is a totally real field in which p splits completely and f is a mod p Hilbert modular form with parallel weight 2 < k < p, which is ordinary at all primes dividing p and has tamely ramified Galois representation at all primes dividing p, then there is a “companion form” of parallel weight k′ := p + 1 − k. This work generalises results of Gross and Coleman–Voloch for modular forms over Q.  相似文献

We obtain defining equations of modular curves X0(N), X1(N), and X(N) by explicitly constructing modular functions using generalized Dedekind eta functions. As applications, we describe a method of obtaining a basis for the space of cusp forms of weight 2 on a congruence subgroup. We also use our model of X0(37) to find explicit modular parameterization of rational elliptic curves of conductor 37.  相似文献

We prove an explicit formula for the central values of certain Rankin L-functions. These L-functions are the L-functions attached to Hilbert newforms over a totally real field F, twisted by unitary Hecke characters of a totally imaginary quadratic extension of F. This formula generalizes our former result on L-functions twisted by finite CM characters.  相似文献

We obtain some formulas for t-expansion coefficients of meromorphic Drinfeld modular forms for GL2(Fq[T]). Let j(z) be the Drinfeld modular invariant. As an application we show that the values of j(z) at points in the divisor of Drinfeld modular forms for GL2(Fq[T]) are algebraic over Fq(T).  相似文献

Let E be an elliptic curve over F=Fq(t) having conductor (p)·∞, where (p) is a prime ideal in Fq[t]. Let dFq[t] be an irreducible polynomial of odd degree, and let . Assume (p) remains prime in K. We prove the analogue of the formula of Gross for the special value L(EFK,1). As a consequence, we obtain a formula for the order of the Tate-Shafarevich group Ш(E/K) when L(EFK,1)≠0.  相似文献

We extend the results of Chan and Huang [H.H. Chan, S.-S. Huang, On the Ramanujan-Göllnitz-Gordon continued fraction, Ramanujan J. 1 (1997) 75-90] and Vasuki, Srivatsa Kumar [K.R. Vasuki, B.R. Srivatsa Kumar, Certain identities for Ramanujan-Göllnitz-Gordon continued fraction, J. Comput. Appl. Math. 187 (2006) 87-95] to all odd primes p on the modular equations of the Ramanujan-Göllnitz-Gordon continued fraction v(τ) by computing the affine models of modular curves X(Γ) with Γ=Γ1(8)∩Γ0(16p). We then deduce the Kronecker congruence relations for these modular equations. Further, by showing that v(τ) is a modular unit over Z we give a new proof of the fact that the singular values of v(τ) are units at all imaginary quadratic arguments and obtain that they generate ray class fields modulo 8 over imaginary quadratic fields.

J.-M. Kim, S. Bae and I.-S. Lee showed that there exists an isomorphism between the p-primary part of the ideal class group and p-primary part of the unit group modulo cyclotomic unit group in Q+(ζpn) for all sufficiently large n under some conditions. Let K be a finite tamely ramified extension of Qp and let L/K be a totally ramified (Z/pnZ)-extension. Let πL be a uniformizer for L, let σ be a generator for Gal(L/K), and let f(X) be an element of OK[X] such that σ(πL)=f(πL). We show that the reduction of f(X) modulo the maximal ideal of OK determines a certain subextension of L/K up to isomorphism. We use this result to study the field extensions generated by periodic points of a p-adic dynamical system.  相似文献

Let K be a finitely generated field of transcendence degree 1 over a finite field, and set GK?Gal(Ksep/K). Let φ be a Drinfeld A-module over K in special characteristic. Set E?EndK(φ) and let Z be its center. We show that for almost all primes p of A, the image of the group ring Ap[GK] in EndA(Tp(φ)) is the commutant of E. Thus, for almost all p it is a full matrix ring over ZAAp. In the special case E=A it follows that the representation of GK on the p-torsion points φ[p] is absolutely irreducible for almost all p.  相似文献

Let G be a connected reductive quasi-split algebraic group over a field L which is a finite extension of the p-adic numbers. We construct an exact sequence modelled on (the dual of) the BGG resolution involving locally analytic principal series representations for G(L). In this paper we study the isometric extension problem and show that every surjective isometry between the unit spheres of Lp (μ) (1 p ∞, p≠2) and a Banach space E can be extended to a linear isometry from Lp(μ) onto E, which means that if the unit sphere of E is (metrically) isometric to the unit sphere of Lp(μ), then E is linearly isometric to Lp(μ). We also prove that every surjective 1-Lipschitz or anti-1-Lipschitz map between the unit spheres of Lp (μ1, H1) and Lp(μ2,H2) must be an isometry and can be extended to a linear isometry from Lp (μ1,H1) to Lp (μ2,H2), where H1 and H2 are Hilbert spaces.  相似文献

We compute the action of Hecke operators on Jacobi forms of “Siegel degree” n and m×m index M, provided 1?j?nm. We find they are restrictions of Hecke operators on Siegel modular forms, and we compute their action on Fourier coefficients. Then we restrict the Hecke-Siegel operators T(p), Tj(p2) (nm<j?n) to Jacobi forms of Siegel degree n, compute their action on Fourier coefficients and on indices, and produce lifts from Jacobi forms of index M to Jacobi forms of index M where detM|detM. Finally, we present an explicit choice of matrices for the action of the Hecke operators on Siegel modular forms, and for their restrictions to Jacobi modular forms.  相似文献

We study the arithmeticity of special values of L-functions attached to cuspforms which are Hecke eigenfunctions on hermitian quaternion groups Sp(m,0) which form a reductive dual pair with G=O(4n). For f1 and f2 two cuspforms on H, consider their theta liftings θf1 and θf2 on G. Then we compute a Rankin-Selberg type integral and obtain an integral representation of the standard L-function:

Let K be a field of characteristic p≠2, and let f(x) be a sextic polynomial irreducible over K with no repeated roots, whose Galois group is isomorphic to A5. If the jacobian J(C) of the hyperelliptic curve C:y2=f(x) admits real multiplication over the ground field from an order of a real quadratic field D, then either its endomorphism algebra is isomorphic to D, or p>0 and J(C) is a supersingular abelian variety. Let p≥5 be a prime, ζ a primitive pth root of unity and λ=1−ζ. For 1≤sp−2, the smooth projective model Cp,s of the affine curve vp=us(1−u) is a curve of genus (p−1)/2 whose jacobian Jp,s has complex multiplication by the ring of integers of the cyclotomic field Q(ζ). In 1981, Greenberg determined the field of rationality of the p-torsion subgroup of Jp,s and moreover he proved that the λ3-torsion points of Jp,s are all rational over Q(ζ). In this paper we determine quite explicitly the λ3-torsion points of Jp,1 for p=5 and p=7, as well as some further p-torsion points which have interesting arithmetical applications, notably to the complementary laws of Kummer’s reciprocity for pth powers.  相似文献

Let E/Q be an elliptic curve of conductor N without complex multiplication and let K be an imaginary quadratic field of discriminant D prime to N. Assume that the number of primes dividing N and inert in K is odd, and let Hc be the ring class field of K of conductor c prime to ND with Galois group Gc over K. Fix a complex character χ of Gc. Our main result is that if LK(E,χ,1)≠0 then Selp(E/Hc)χW=0 for all but finitely many primes p, where Selp(E/Hc) is the p-Selmer group of E over Hc and W is a suitable finite extension of Zp containing the values of χ. Our work extends results of Bertolini and Darmon to almost all non-ordinary primes p and also offers alternative proofs of a χ-twisted version of the Birch and Swinnerton-Dyer conjecture for E over Hc (Bertolini and Darmon) and of the vanishing of Selp(E/K) for almost all p (Kolyvagin) in the case of analytic rank zero.  相似文献

We present a construction which lifts Darmon's Stark-Heegner points from elliptic curves to certain modular Jacobians. Let N be a positive integer and let p be a prime not dividing N. Our essential idea is to replace the modular symbol attached to an elliptic curve E of conductor Np with the universal modular symbol for Γ0(Np). We then construct a certain torus T over Qp and lattice LT, and prove that the quotient T/L is isogenous to the maximal toric quotient J0(Np)p-new of the Jacobian of X0(Np). This theorem generalizes a conjecture of Mazur, Tate, and Teitelbaum on the p-adic periods of elliptic curves, which was proven by Greenberg and Stevens. As a by-product of our theorem, we obtain an efficient method of calculating the p-adic periods of J0(Np)p-new.  相似文献
